New thread ladies, pull up a pew.

Duke and Popcorn sorry about the BFNs but as Dream and Scream say - it's not over til the red lady sings. All your symptoms are pregnancy symptoms - keep brooking and not long until you get your confirmations now.

Farfalla how are you? Hope you had a lovely time celebrating your aniversary and I really hope evil AF stayed away and you have a sticker in there.

Biscuitsandtea · 18/09/2011 13:03
BartletForAmerica · 18/09/2011 16:27

Hope this week brings lovely bright BFPs for Duke, Popcorn (nice namechange) and Farfalla.

dream, you waited for 7 days after! Wow, nerves of steel! I had fully intended to wait but I thought I would be more prepared for AF if I had seen BFNs first, rather than letting my hopes get raised.

duke, even if AF arrives, it is great that your luteal phase is longer. That bodes really well for a bun in the oven soon!

I am feeling a bit crampy today - oh, if I could just zip forward/time travel to the 12 week scan, I would!

jenfraggle · 18/09/2011 17:10

When I was out yesterday I saw a van with BFP on it. I'm sure that means this thread is guaranteed another one really, really soon.

pommedechocolat · 18/09/2011 17:12

I waited until 5 days before AF was due to test. I am still waiting to grow up and become patient. It was a FR that first gave up the faint line.

thelittlefriend · 18/09/2011 19:25

Pomme, good to see you, you must be soo preggo by now!

Great to hear news of the scan Scream.

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend. Just thought I'd post something for once instead of always lurking.

I'm waiting for my first acupuncture appointment next weekend. I'm fully expecting them to resolve all problems and for me to be pregnant the following week.

GenericDietCola · 18/09/2011 19:33

Hi PSEPP - we need your good vibes - do keep popping in

Little I hope it works - been thinking about acupuncture myself. Let us know how you get on.

I've been having a lot of cramps. I think it's ovulation time, maybe you can get cramps with ovulation. Or perhaps I ov'd on Thursday like I originally thought and this is early implantation? Only time will tell. Will try to SWI tonight just in case.

jenfraggle · 18/09/2011 19:39

I've had constant cramps all week, the bean is certainly making it's presence felt

dreamfeeder · 18/09/2011 20:05

Mine just likes to make me do a lot of toilet-hugging. Plus the runs. Can't tell about the tiredness as DD is causing that with her early-hours antics.

Yes, do say all at which point you would like the PSEPP to stop hogging your thread! i should probably just pop in and post less... It almost seems like rubbing it in, which I don't want to do especially as I have had a good whinge about the puking

generic, i have a friend who tried acupuncture and got pg soon afterwards. However, we will never know if it was a fluke or not. She also tried it to get labour to start when she was overdue and went into labour 2 days later! She is convinced, but I am not convinced it wasn't just coincidence. However, worth a shot! I have seen a lot of successful acupuncture (NHS) and always been amazed. Very sensible, not airy-fairy people getting genuine lasting benefits. For musculoskeletal problems- particularly back pain and sore jaw joints (particularly in beaten women). So I do believe it works. I just don't know about it's use with fertility. I just missed out on doing a course in it when I changed job and wouldn't use it in my current job, so I guess i'll never find out much more about it.

farfallarocks · 18/09/2011 20:13

Hi gals, thanks so much for all your good wishes, it really means a lot to me!
Had a lovely weekend away and managed to forget about it all a bit.
Had a couple of glases of wine but no more, just in case!

No resolution here though, cramps on and off all weekend and continued brown spotting although its more like a bit of discharge now. I have no idea what is going on! Surely implantation can't go on for so many days!

Pathetically faint positive (PFP!) on an internet cheapie but have run out of proper tests so am going to invest in a CB digital tomorrow I think!

duke and snow carry on not brooking!

generic biscuits and dream maybe and everyone who has popped in over the weekend thanks for checking up on me, good luck with the SWI generic and I well impressed with you resolve on the testing front dream

Am hoping imps managed to seduce her hubster this weekend!
Great news on the scans scream and & scarlett

farfallarocks · 18/09/2011 20:15

Sorry that shoudl say popcorn not snow

Clearly baby brain!

duke748 · 18/09/2011 20:17

Hello to everyone!

Today's update - no blood at all, not even a little spot on wiping. Am so desperately hoping its implantation bleeding I experienced yestersay evening. To be honest, if I wasn't such a knicker-checker (sounds like the start of a tounge twister!) I wouldn't have noticed it.

I have read that if it was implantation then a pee stick won't co-operate for another 2-3 days. Gulp! I guess if its the start of AF, then I'll know in that time frame too. Dream - very impressed with the waiting a week before testing. I so impatient - I couldn't wait that long!

Here's hoping for lots more BFPs on this thread in the next few days. Any news Cake and Popcorn?

GenericDietCola · 18/09/2011 20:21

You PSEPP are always welcome here (speaking for self)!

Farfalla it still sounds very positive to me and I'm glad you had a lovely weekend away. I think spotting/bleeding can go on for some time around implantation, so don't lose heart. When I was preggo with DD I bled several times between 6 weeks and 18 weeks and each time a scan assured me she was fine, so bleeding in pregnancy is not always bad news.

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 18/09/2011 20:28

Hello ladies, hello Day 17 Posse!

I am getting excited because my temp has zoomed up and FF says I've ov-ed. DH has been stepping up to the plate and hopefully we've managed to smack the rat Grin And now I have the best 2ww ever - we're flying to Spain for 2 weeks in the sun, hopefully I'll forget ALL about it, AF won't know where to find me and I'll come back to a lovely BFP Wink

And hopefully over the next 12 days there will be a raft of BFPs that I'll need to catch up on

Good luck ladies! Over and out Wink

duke748 · 18/09/2011 20:42

Farfalla - we posted at pretty much at the same time, with very similar stories. A PFP (!) is one better than I have, and I'd certainly be staring at it intently and hoping it gets stronger as the days go by!

Forgive me for asking, but how long have you been spotting now? And how many DPO are you?

Check out info on implantation bleeding for some information on how long it has lastest for different people. Big hugs.

jenfraggle · 18/09/2011 20:43

Forgot to say before, what I did differently this month:

A couple of days before the end AF's last visit, I thought I had run out of tampons. Went down the shop and they only had normal tampax, whereas I usually have the compact ones. Bought them as needed them. Came home to discover that I had enough for the last couple of days in my bag. The stupid big box does not fit in my drawer in the bathroom and will now hang around for months doing nothing

I am 30 in Nov and have arranged a party. It is now smack bang in the middle of the time I'm likely to be having morning sickness...

Worst possible timing = BFP

Solars · 18/09/2011 20:55

Hello ladies

Wow a lovely new thread to come back to! I've been skim reading so forgive me if i've missed anything! (so much to read after being away for a week!)

Congratulations to Jen, Bartlet & Knitty and hopefully to Farfalla & Duke as it's looking good for you guys too!

What is all this talk of honey? If it helps with getting that BFP i'm going to have to get some!!!

Late have a lovely holiday and hope we get to hear of that bfp when you get back.

dreamfeeder · 18/09/2011 21:01

farfalla, i'm pretty sure I had enough brown spotting/discharge to make me think it was beginning of AF. I dug out the Always before leaving the house, I did not even consider it could be anything else, especially as on my 'old' cycle, AF was due in 2 days.

I couldn't take a BFN so I decided to wait until AF was absolutley, definitely, no-two-ways about-it late. It was also a bonus as I missed a bit of the very, very early bit! I was puking within a day or 2 of my BFP.

I will have my 12 week scan just 2 weeks before I return to work after my mat leave. My colleagues will be gutted for losing a team member again so soon and me being less use as it's quite a physical job, but pleased for me. Manager? I reckon unimpressed....

dreamfeeder · 18/09/2011 21:01

so yes, worst possible timing as will have to tell pretty soon...

dreamfeeder · 18/09/2011 21:01

and farfalla, no AF!!! that is pretty hopeful. EVERYTHING crossed for you!!!!

duke748 · 19/09/2011 07:31

I Think I might have my PFP (pathetically faint positive) this morning....

At 13 DPO and 1.5 days after browny cm

Grin Grin Grin

jenfraggle · 19/09/2011 07:43

Well done duke!

PopcornMouse · 19/09/2011 08:05

Well done duke!!!!

farfalla that still sounds really positive! How did the CBD go?

11dpo & another BFN this morning I couldn't stop myself, alien hand syndrome! and I also had a massive dip in temp. AF due anytime between tomorrow and Thursday. Snot looking good for the Popcorn household :(
www.fertilityfriend.com/home/chartywarty

I can't decide whether I'm more gutted about that, or the fact that I haven't lost a sausage on WeightWatchers, 2 weeks in Angry I tell you ladies, I'm perilously close to buying a sharing-sized bag of peanut m&ms and a bottle of plonk and eating them all myself. Before breakfast. And swearing a lots while I do so. AF does not want to mess with me this week!! :o

GenericDietCola · 19/09/2011 09:11

Jen yet more evidence of the Worst Possible Timing resulting in a BFP. After watching Grand Designs last night I think going on that programme is perhaps the best way to guarantee a BFP.

Late enjoy your holiday - sounds fabulous and all very promising for you this month.

Solars welcome back! How was the holiday? Where are you in your cycle now?

Duke yay re PFP! It can only get better from here - stick in there miniDuke.

Popcorn it's just too early, I'm sure. Please try and stay positive. Although if AF does ignore the hefty bouncers on the door and decide to pay a visit you have my permission to indulge in as much chocolate and wine as you want.

Farfalla how are you today? Everything crossed for you.

Think I'm in the 2ww now.

pommedechocolat · 19/09/2011 09:27

generic - I always think that about Grand Designs too! Buy an expensive plot of land, start a build, fall pregnant. Trademark Worst Possible Timing.

Congrats Duke - see you on the other side in a bit!

I am 16 weeks now. Starting to think about finding out the gender.
