New thread ladies, pull up a pew.

Oh Farfalla it might be ok! Take it easy and rest when you can - I'm brooking no argument that this one is sticking. We'll get you through.....

Biscuitsandtea · 16/09/2011 07:48

12 dpo is still quite early to get a strong BFP too - even if you've got a short LP that wouldn't make you get stronger bfps earlier iyswim? I'm keeping everything everything everything crossed for you.

Wants3 · 16/09/2011 08:00

Hello everyone! Lovely thread again, I am sure it will be as chatty and fertile as the last one( thank you). I am looking forward to golden confirming her June bug BFP.
I am so glad it is Friday as I am completely shattered!

musicalmrs · 16/09/2011 08:21

Farfalla - so sorry to hear about potential AF. But, you never know... I thought mine had come, when really it was an implantation bleed (I think)... it may be that your body's just confused? Will keep brooking no argument for you - keep us updated :(

I haven't had another blood test so don't know about my HCG. Will phone the doctors later though, maybe they'll schedule one? Would just be nice to know. Either way, I'm feeling quite rubbish today, which is actually making me feel more positive (as in, minimusic is causing havoc in there!).

Also completely shattered Wants - thank goodness I only have a half day today!

On the subject of pies: I've never baked a pie either! Is it easy? I'm excellent at sweet goods (mainly because my mother, who is great at cooking, is shocking at them, so I had to step up!), but I've never tried a savoury one. Maybe that's something for the to do list..

BartletForAmerica · 16/09/2011 08:22

farfalla, hope AF stays away and that the BFP sticks around.

Waiting around for duke's result!

MeconiumHappens · 16/09/2011 08:25

farfalla agree with Biscuits 12 dpo is still really early to get a strong bfp, it took me ages. I have shortish lp (about 10 days) and thought i ov'd about day 20 of 30. Just had 8 week scan, which turned out to be a 7 week scan and it seems that i actually ov much later than cd 20 this time! Got a squinty faint pos cd 38 and took ages to become a strong positive, a good week. Saw its little heart beating yesterday, so pfffftt to dr google and his scaring me with lp 10 days=low progeserone/no baby etc etc. I was genuinely concerned, even went and got my thyroid checked Blush Within a couple of weeks of getting those results i was updiffed. Grin

Imps7 · 16/09/2011 08:33

Oh Farf (hope you don't mind the informality) - I really really hope that your spotting is just little Farf settling in. I understand spotting to be really really common in early pregnancy. And 12 DPO is still early for a strong line - loads of charts on FF show negatives up to 14 DPO and beyond and then a positive. Keep brooking no argument until you know for certain one way or the other.

farfallarocks · 16/09/2011 08:42

Awww thanks meconium that is good to know

musical glad you are feeling rubbish in the nicest possible way!!

Am going to take it easy today and see what happens

Any news from duke?

farfallarocks · 16/09/2011 08:43

thanks imps that is good to know! Its just that I have exactly the same symptoms as last time.
Argh
Would go to the GP but I doubt there is anything she can do

PopcornMouse · 16/09/2011 09:01

I haven't read all the thread, I'm in for a hellish day at work (eek) but I just wanted to give Farfalla a big hug! It's not over yet!

farfallarocks · 16/09/2011 09:02

Oh thanks girls, you are all lovely :)

maybebabyR · 16/09/2011 10:20

Oh Farfalla you poor thing. I am staying positive for you though, I have a feeling in my waters (of potential maybebabybaby).

Duke surely you can't still be holing that pee....

Imps I think I will be joining you on the shagathon. Not literally of course, that would be strange. DH is off from midnight tonight for a whole week! Which means I am brooking no argument, there is no excuse for tiredness, just fertilise my egg.

OP posts:
scarletfingernail · 16/09/2011 10:29

farfalla I've got everything crossed for you and can echo what the others have said. I still think you're in with a good chance this month.

Sorry to hear AF rocked up Golden Another month on this thread will guarantee your BFP.

maybebabyR · 16/09/2011 10:44

Meconium, I forgot to say, so pleased your scan went well. I wonder if we could perhaps patent/copyright Brooking No Argument? Reckon we could make enough to keep us in baked goods and eye candy for years Grin

OP posts:
Biscuitsandtea · 16/09/2011 10:47

Oooh, RPJ - you girls have excellent taste!

Needless to say I heart spooks!! Mind you I'm not seeing any eye candy in the trailer for the new series?

I should point out I'm not always so lustful Blush - you're just all picking my top picks SmileBlush

Been for my 12 week scan and everything as it should be - very pleased and relieved and about to 'come out' Smile

Farfalla I'm still rooting for you - keep on brookin' xx

scarletfingernail · 16/09/2011 10:58

Fantastic news Biscuits Had you told anyone already or will it be a massive surprise?

maybebabyR · 16/09/2011 11:02

Oh Biscuit Fantastic news Grin Are you going to find out what flavour you are having?

I love Rupert. I love spooks, very excited about its comeback. I haven't seen any aesthetically pleasing candidates either Hmm

OP posts:
Biscuitsandtea · 16/09/2011 11:13

Doubt we will find out the flavour - enjoyed the surprise last time and a lot of our stuff is neutral so wouldn't be in a pickle if it wasn't a boy. Honestly though I can't imagine not having a boy - is that weird?

We had already told immediate family after the 8 week scan but have friends etc to tell now, which is exciting. And a few knew the troubles we had so I'm particularly pleased to be able to tell those who have put up with my whinging to date! BlushSmile

maybebabyR · 16/09/2011 11:28

Ah, it will be lovely telling everyone Biscuits

And surely everyone wants a Spooks party? Don't they? It is never too early to educate them about a life in MI5.

duke748 · 16/09/2011 11:29

farfalla - it ain't over yet. Keep brooking, we are all behind you all the way!

biscuits - fantastic news! A great milestone!

A BFN for me today, but only 10 DPO, so will keep weeing (On a stick obviously, not just randomly all over the place!) and knicker checking.

I usually have a lutual phase of 10 days, so today my AF is due, although I am hoping the ten tonnes of B vitamins I have been taking this month may lengthen it. So I guess of AF doesn't arrive today then its good news either way.

I have a sore back and lots of CM. Feel dog rough but then was up every one and half hours throughout the night with my poorly little boy. So, its very hard to symptom spot!

Good luck to all SWIs, PEOASers and Updiffers.

PopcornMouse · 16/09/2011 11:59

Slight lull in the madness - it's deadline day and someone integral has walked out Shock so we're all running around like idiots.

music I've heard it can be quite normal, but there again, don't you dare feel you're wasting their time or anything - if it gets worse or you're really worried, make sure you go back!

duke booooo BFN, but it is still very early - I bet it'll turn to a BFP in a day or two!

Farfalla my SIL had that for a whole week around her AF due date - I don't think it means the games over yet. She says she was rushing to the loo the whole week, thinking AF had arrived, but she just spotted for a week and then got a BFP.

biscuits exciting stuff!!!

BFN this morning, but far too early. I really should stop trying. Still horrifically spotty (to the point where my face actually hurts, sob) and craving semolina with jam - but I started weight watchers a week ago so I think it's more that than anything symptomatic. I lost 2lbs this week :o

Biscuitsandtea · 16/09/2011 13:23

Generic, Imps and Maybe - good luck on the shagathon Wink

We haven't told DS yet - we were waiting for this scan to be ok but will tell him now as it will become public knowledge so don't want him to figure it out from someone else. DS is 3, you're right, he's not really into dolls but a few weeks ago was obsessed with babies and people having babies in their tummies etc! Hope he takes it well Confused

GenericDietCola · 16/09/2011 13:25

Aw Biscuits that's so sweet re your DS. My sister has a 3yo DS and a 4mo DS and DS1 was very excited about DS2 coming. Now he's born, they are really sweet together. DS1 is always kissing and hugging DS2. I'm so happy for you, especially after your long wait you are my hero at the moment when I feel down about it taking ages

Imps7 · 16/09/2011 13:36

Biscuits HURRAH! re: scan!! So lovely to hear that all is well and you can now come out of the closet, so to speak. Must be lovely telling everyone.

I'm feeling positively grumpy and down in the dumps about SWI chances this weekend given OH's failure to shag me last night. How dare he???? I just have a feeling that his "Oh I'm really definitely up for it, bring on the shagathon" was just talk and when it comes down to it he's just not going to come up with the goods...again. Oh you're all so lucky to have normal OHs who are ready, willing and able to fertilise you. I feel so damned unlucky that mine, who is very lovely (don't get me wrong) is not like that. DAMN HIM. I knew I should have carried on keeping OV secret from him. Oh well, onwards and upwards. I shall just have to focus all my non-brooking of any arguments on you lovely ladies instead.
