LateToTheTTCParty Massive Congratulations, thats brilliant news, i wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy xxxxx

TomboyWife · 18/06/2011 16:33

Congrats Late! Fantastic news! Grin I also had AF type cramps before I got my BFP, so much so that I put on a sanitary towel a day or two before. I gather that's pretty common.

Cloclo so sorry about your crap week. At least now AF is here you can crack on with your next cycle and try to put the rubbishness behind you. Here, have an extra-large Wine.

Chanting I'm 36, so not too far behind you in the geriatric department. We're trying again after MC, which sucks, but at least I know we're able to conceive. I actually think the whole "your ovaries will shrivel up and explode on your 35th birthday" spiel does more harm than good. I met DH at 32, married him at 34, and sorted out long-term housing stability at 35, so absent a time machine I'm not sure what we were meant to have done differently.

Cloclo15 · 18/06/2011 17:50

Oh God, in a pit of despair I just yelled at my mum and dad like a maniac. I'm here for a visit as I don't live nearby and now I've calmed down I feel awful! I know there is nothing they can do. Feel like a total cow now :(

ColleenEatsVeg · 18/06/2011 18:10

ColleenEatsVeg (29) TTC #1, ucl 38 days Af due 17th of June, late but I have a terrible ucl so just waiting.

InsomniaQueen · 18/06/2011 18:23

Oh Cloclo15 sorry to hear about your pants week and shouting at the parents!!! The thing is, parents are probably the most forgiving people ever.....I have been told this repeatedly by my foster mother who swears I was taken over by a evil spirit during my teenage years!!!!

They will be ok and so will you......if you can't yell at your family who can you yell at!!!

Big hugs and lots of wine type thoughts!!!

Xx

Karstan · 18/06/2011 20:45

Congrats Late and Fingers, what a great start to the thread. Here's to more of the same

OH is now away for the week so I'm watching back to back episodes of One Born Every Minute without guilt and accompanied by a glass of wine Grin

weimy · 19/06/2011 14:11

farfallarocks · 20/06/2011 08:32

Morning girls, some good news in this camp.
After thinking AF was due for days, some brown spotting and cramping, did a test or five yesterday and BFP!
Can't believe it, am beyond excited althoguh still feeling very crampy so I am hoping for a sticky bean :)

1sttimetryer · 20/06/2011 09:01

farfallarocks yay! Well done and congratulations! This thread seems to be a very lucky one so far! Im liking it! I hope i have my own good news this cycle!!

backtotheplanet · 20/06/2011 10:51

Hi Ladies, I'd love to join your thread too, it seems to be a lucky one!

InsomniaQueen i m/c at 11 weeks at the end of April this year which was just heartbreaking. The wait to try again felt like forever so I know how you might be feeling. The only small comfort I can give is that once you start trying again things do seem more positive and you do need a bit of time for your hormones to settle back down before then - after my first AF I felt a bit more back to normal. Fingers crossed for both of us that it happens again soon!

I have just started my first tww today and I'm feeling hopeful (as there's nothing else to do but hope!).

backtotheplanet TTC#1 CD 18 AF due 30/06/11 Good luck everyone!

CaveMum · 20/06/2011 13:34

Big congrats to farfallarocks!! When you are feeling brave there is a First Time Frolicker graduates thread in Ante-Natal!

[beams proudly at lucky thread and hopes some of it will rub off]

farfallarocks · 20/06/2011 16:48

Thank you! Will definitly be heading over there, not brave enough yet as its still so early!

Good luck everyone, hope this thread continues to be so lucky

Jezzabell · 20/06/2011 18:01

Congrats to the ladies with the BFPs! Hopefully a few more if us will be able to say the same soon. Very new to this so wondering how soon it is likely that i might know/have an idea if it's worked? How long do i need to wait before taking a test. Do I need to wait until my af is late? Or might I get an idea before then? Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks all x

Cloclo15 · 20/06/2011 18:28

Hi everyone, and congrats to all the BFPs :)

Feeling slightly less mental today thank god, I think my hormones must have been off the scale on Saturday.

Went for more bloods this morning, looked like they were testing for every hormone under the sun, but the nurse thought three bottles would be enough thankfully. After the last couple of weeks I feel like a pincushion! Quite frustrating having to wait another 3 weeks to get our results now - wish our appt hadn't been pushed back a week.

Just contemplating yoga tonight - it's never much fun when AF is visiting, but will probably do me good - I always feel much more relaxed afterwards :)

CherryAddict · 20/06/2011 18:41

Wow! Congratulations to all the ladies with the BFP's and fingers crossed for the rest of us! Come on mother nature (or whoever is out there...) , smile upon the rest of us..

CaveMum · 20/06/2011 19:21

Jezzabell really you ought to wait until AF is due. The so-called early response tests are often as little as only 60% accurate so to be honest you can waste a lot of money peeing on sticks far too early. If you know when you ovulated then 14 days (the good ol' 2 week wait) is the rule of thumb.

OP posts:
ColleenEatsVeg · 20/06/2011 20:16

Congrats on the BFP's

LateToTheTTCParty · 20/06/2011 20:21

Congrats Farfalla!Grin
I'm still feeling camps 2 days after my bfp and 9 after AF was due. My sis says it's pretty normal so not stressing about it Smile

Cave you're our lucky charm! It will be you too, maybe not for a little while, but once those doctors have sorted you out there'll be no holding you back Wink

Thornton77 · 20/06/2011 21:07

Do you mind if I join in? TTC#1 this is really the first month of trying, Have finally got DH round to my way of thinking.

TomboyWife · 20/06/2011 21:16

Congrats farfalla!

Jez another reason not to test early is that it's very common for an egg to be fertilised, start to implant, but fail immediately. So you could get an early, misleading positive that turns into a negative a day or two later. If you wait til AF is due, any positive you get is much more likely to stick around.

The good news from me is that my body is acting like it's gearing up to ovulate, less than 2 weeks after miscarriage. We've been told to wait for one normal AF before trying again, but we're sticking two fingers up at said advice. Grin

The bad news is that I almost burst into tears in the middle of my karate class this evening. This was my first class in a couple of months, karate not being a very pg-friendly activity, and, well, being able to do karate was not part of the plan for right now. Sad I was feeling weepy before I even got through the front door of the dojo. Weirdly, I went mountain biking at the weekend, which if anything is even less pg-friendly than karate, and that didn't bother me at all.

Sorry, I know this is off-topic for this thread, but wanted to vent a bit. Sad

TheNightNurse · 21/06/2011 01:23

Hi Ladies, room for another? Been trying to conceive #1 for AGES - I'm a long-termer, I gather. No real hope so going through the motions until our second ICSI:

TheNightNurse (33) TTC#1, UCL28, CD26.

CONGRATULATIONS to those lucky ladies with the BFP's!!!
