Grin at harrassed mentioning kinesiology. No-one mention aspartame!

Cough medicine stickies up the ewcm does it not, it's probably like that pre-seed. I'm not sure it's the healthiest option, necking a pint of Benylin, but I've heard it works, and you will also be sniffle free.
Wellie, are you feeling a bit homesick? It's raining here, and the energy bills are soaring. Have one of those lovely huge icecreams at Sydney harbour, glance around at the glistening water, opera house and harbour bridge, and have a smug little grin to yourself!
Just sat scoffing peanut snacks, might as well pop in a brie-covered oyster whilst I'm at it! Feeling more positive today and breakfast before I set off has prevented any more fainting episodes.
My boobs are only sore once released from the bra, when they swing painfully and pendulously downwards - is this what you mean, or should they be hurting in a different fashion? I don't want to miss out on a symptom!

emmaandthestar · 15/06/2011 13:11

You are funny Sparkly - I may just try it and let you know whether it has any effect...
I live on peanut butter, I can't understand the need to avoid it - not like brie and oysters where you can do serious damage...
I didn't get sore boobs, they just got bigger and bigger - then the bump will push them up and you will be wearing them under your chin :o

I have a TVU today to check that all tubes and ovaries are there and functional... blood tests are at the end of the month to check that operation ovulation occurred (I hope so as we are going to try like bunnies this month)...

MarathonMama · 15/06/2011 15:43

Pendulum pain, that well known pg symptom! Unfortunately I was "blessed" with a couple of wasp stings so will never know Envy

BTW Sparkly, they've changed the advice on peanuts now, Snickers all round...

Good luck at the TVU Emma!

wombatinwaiting · 15/06/2011 18:22

Oh yes sparkly - I have pendulum pain too, particularly when releasing the monsters out of their bra at night - they're practically begging me to let them free and when they do, they are sooooooore!

I think your first AF post mc is generally a bit screwed up marathon but hang in there, it's your body getting back to normal. I'd love to take credit for the accupuncture suggestion, but that's actually yellow who has had some interesting results from it.

Talking of you yellow, I think today is your due date, so thinking of you lots and hoping that you are having a lovely start to your hol and the sickness isn't toooo bad, but bad enough so you don't worry Smile

Great that you are having so many tests etc. emma - i really hope you get some definitive answers from it, or even better your bfp x

Waves to all. Definitely getting more of a bump, but it still looks like too many pies.....

mrsb33 · 15/06/2011 19:19

Hi ladies looks like I've missed a fair bit again. Koolfortcats, welcome back, sorry its under such bad circumstances, keeping my fingers and toes crossed [not my legs though I'm ttcing] that you get that bfp soon! I bit cheeky but I would love to take up up on your offer for the free gift if you don't mind?? I'm willing to give anything ago after 10 months of ttc action! Af sadly arrived today!! So my cycle is now back to 28days!!!!! Arrrhhh wish it would make up its mind!!!
Harrassed happy anniversary, waves to all, sorry if I've missed anything, just a quick catch up via my phone!!! Xxx

OP posts:
emmaandthestar · 15/06/2011 20:01

Looks like all present and correct, I have 2 ovaries and a womb (although he did scare me at first when he couldn't find the left one!)... roll on SWI and blood tests!

Star82 · 16/06/2011 03:41

So here you are!!! Been looking for the thread. Had to find the old one and go to back page for a link.

Still in Florida and at the moment it's 10.30 pm and we're having one huge thunderstorm outdoors. Don't like it but the others are freaks and have been outdoors 'watching' it!! Confused

Hope everyone's good. Only had a quick flick through. Hi Kool4cats :).

So....... managed to find a scanning place here that would scan me without the need for me to be under the care of a US physician. Was gonna book in when i thought i'd be 7 weeks which would be tomorrow (today for you guys) but the Dr was heading to Europe the day after i phoned so they said if i wanted to be seen, it would need to be that day. For $59 we thought why not so headed out there. I thought i would be 6 weeks but she seemed to think that going by my LMP, i would be 5+6. Anyway, couldn't see much...only a gestational sac and she only had a transabdominal machine, not a probe so couldn't do an internal. Basically, came out no better off.....big hummppppfff!!!! She has said that if there are enough patients requesting scans, she will be getting a locum in on Sat so may pop for re scan as so much cheaper than in the UK.

Worm i've started severe mentalling now. Had a run around Windsor Hills where we're staying and half hour after getting back i went to pee and i had pinky red when i wiped. A bit of brown and then yellowish coloured spotting followed but then i've seemed ok since. I am so freaked out and already feel resigned to the inevitable. I can't even hope this is implantation as i'm 6+6 so a bit late on for all that. Not sure if the run could have triggered it even.

Hope you're all well. Will try a better catch up when back in Uk as hard to read leisurely on the 1 in demand laptop we have with us. xx

wombatinwaiting · 16/06/2011 07:48

Bugger re: AF mrsb - can you get another GP appointment and maybe a referral based on your irregular cycles? Thanks for popping on - good to hear from you.

How very frustrating for you star and not surprised you are mentalling - early spotting of all sorts of colours is very common and doesn't necessarily mean the worst. I also think that at 5+6 (if doc is correct) that you wouldn't see anything more than the sac. Fingers crossed you can get to see someone for a fanjocam on saturday - sending hugs and umbrellas x

Good news on your internal bits emma - do they / can they look for any blockages etc. at this stage?

Loving having Thursdays off - just waiting in for the removals companies to come and give me some quotes. WE are due to move to our new villa on 6th July -eek! Signing over a huuuuge cheque today as you have to give a year's rent up front here - odd system, I know.....

yellowtomato · 16/06/2011 09:09

Just a quickie, this is 3rd message I've written but due to bad signal they keep getting lost. Not feeling sick today, hoping it is cos I am sleeping a lot, feeling quite mental as have too much time to think.

Waves to all

Sparklywine · 16/06/2011 09:37

Think happy, sunny, frenchy thoughts Yellow, sickness comes and goes and will be less if you're well rested. It'll be back! x

harassedinherpants · 16/06/2011 09:37

Morning!!

Guess what??? Grin...... I heard the heartbeat yesterday!! Not bad for seeing as I'm only 13 weeks today, so I'm all happy and smiley about that. Dd was there but was decidedly underwhelmed....probably wondering what was wrong with me. Anyway I went about my hayfever and he wasn't keen on giving me anything unless it was really bad, but I'm on my asthma inhalers at the moment and apparently if you take the brown one in through your mouth and then breathe out through your nose it helps. On the downside my bp is on its way up already. It was 120/80 at 8 weeks and is now 144/85, so not ideal. He tested my urine and that's clear. I did have this with dd, and was being tested for pre-eclampsia at 20 weeks, but it all settled down eventually. Very strange!! Obviously I'm trying even out Sparkly's low bp!

mrsb I really think you should try the gp......

yellow stop mentalling, that sounds very normal especially as you're getting plenty of sleep. The hormones come in waves I was told, and your body gets used to them. It'll be back!!!

wombat a YEAR up front?! Goodness..... Exciting though Grin.

emma glad you're getting tests done, must be a good feeling that they're doing it.

star just to second everything that Wombat said. It all sounds very normal! I had a 6wk scan and was warned that I probably wouldn't see anything but we had a lovely hb. But since then, following my 12 wk scan, my dates have come forward nearly a week, so I was prob closer to 7 weeks than 6 iykwim.

sparkly with you on the pendulous boobs!!!

I had some lovely Birkenstocks delivered yesterday.......and it's bloody raining Hmm Angry

emmaandthestar · 16/06/2011 11:29

Thanks for the thoughts, no blockages everything normal - he did say i have slightly immature follicles (what were they doing... pictures them throwing food and blowing raspberries...) but I think it was because I am at the beginning of my cycle CD8 and I think they mature as you get closer to ovulation...

Harrassed that's great news on the HB - must have been a really nice day as a result :)

Star thinking of you - but you can't usually see anything at 6 weeks - I know it doesn't help the mentalling though.

Wombat good luck with the move!!

wombatinwaiting · 17/06/2011 06:46

He he at emma's slightly immature follicles - can you get someone sensible in to get them to grow up a bit? Grin Glad there are no blockages etc.

Will you be getting the scan tomorrow star?

Not surprised you are mentalling yellow - did you take some good books with you for distraction? And sparkly is absolutely right - sickness and other symptoms do come and go. How is the ulcer cover-up going? No doubt you are very au fait with cover stories with your job Wink

Croissants and pain au chocolat for all in light of yellow's jaunt to France x

Wormshuffler · 17/06/2011 06:54

Good morning Everyone! Horray for No evident problems emma now let the conception commence!

Hearing the heartbeat at 13 weeks harassed that is the earliest I have ever heard! I convinced myself I could feel movement the other day..........until I did a huge fart Blush glad everything is progressing well for you.

Bonjour yellow think positive!! how are you getting on not telling the relatives you went with? Did you decide to take baby asprin in the end?

wombat I am amazed you have to pay a year in advance for rent! so do you just pay once a year then? or keep a year in advance permenantly?

Hi star $59 for a scan! wow whats that ? like £40? don't worry too much about not being able to see anything yet.... it's so early! There is someone on the January thread [peeping tom emotion] who had a scan 5-6 weeks and saw nothing, then went back at 8weeks and saw a sac with nothing in it, was told to expect the worst. Then she went back at 10 and first scan they found a bean, but no heartbeat, she wouldn't give up and asked for an internal and there it was beating away!! Scary hey! Hope despite the mentalling you are still having a great time! Try not to worry about coloured discharge.......are you hydrated enough in that heat?

So sorry about AF mrsb get yourself to the docs!!! Have some wine for me tonight! it is friday! 6 weeks dry now for Me what an achievement!!

So my sickness is ramping up a bit at the moment, I am having to tell so many lies! Yesterday in a meeting I had to ge my emergency sausage roll out, mid-meeting, I tried to discretely break bits off and sneak them in, but just succeeded in putting crumbs all over the floor Ha!
DD is wondering why I am not eating the same as them, I sat with a bowl of cornflakes last night while they all had chilli [boak emocion] when she asked why I said "i am on a diet"! I am proper showing too Grin still no date for the scan, I may call the unit today and nag..........

HalleLouja · 17/06/2011 07:22

Sorry to interrupt but saw pants in here so thought I would say hi. Congrats on bring pregnant and hopefully it all works out for you. My dd was born 3 weeks ago and is doing well despite being a tad early. She is gorgeous and ds loves being a big bro.

Anyway if you are in need of a name change I need to have a think. We are still in the sore bits thread.

Sparklywine · 17/06/2011 08:59

Grin at emergency sausage roll Grin Who'd have thought Worm carries around the best of Greggs in her Mulberry....
I was reading a big old booklet the hospital gave me at my 12 week scan, the picture of a pregnant woman at 14 weeks shows a svelte, gently curved tummy of a person, with perkly boobs. What?! I think I need to shop for a larger comfier bra but at 36FF can't go without underwire, they'd be dragging the floor! I've read that Anita nursing bras are good as the wire is softer, but at £30 I'd want the right size - mothers-already, how much bigger can I expect to get?! Should I just go up to 38H or something and expect to fill it? I'm getting little blue veins under the wire so am guessing damage is beginning. Eek, read on another thread, and this is backed up by the NHS book-thingy, that you can get varicose veins internally down below! WTF? Give me those and a nose bleed and I've run the full gamut of symptoms already! Grin
Star, the book said profuse and varying amounts of discharge is perfectly normal, unless there's some blood in it you're fine apparently. Worry not, it's all part of being a woman!

Pain au chocolate appreciated thanks Wombat, feeling much better since having brekkie before heading out, but does mean I am ready for brekkie #2 by now!

harassedinherpants · 17/06/2011 09:34

sparkly sorry, but they're going to get bigger and then positively massive when the milk comes in after birth! I bought some nice ones from La Redoute when prg with dd, but haven't looked so far.

Eurgh @ sausage rolls worm! Now a nice Ginsters peppered steak slice.... yummy. Good that the sickness is getting worse iykwim Grin.

I've booked up for preg yoga classes! It's NCT which I hate with a passion generally, so hope it'll be ok....... First term is for 6 weeks and starts on Wednesday.

I'm going to tell my boss today if he ever gets in and I'm bricking it. I wouldn't call him unreasonable, but then I wouldn't call him reasonable either......He's very bloody minded and will most def cut his nose off to spite his face if it means not giving in. I feel very sick, and nervous. Most unlike me actually!! I said to dh this morning that I'll prob be unemployed by 3pm Grin.

yellowtomato · 17/06/2011 09:37

Thanks fir reassurance ladies, I did have a croissant for brekkie.

The in laws have totally accepted the non specific stress related stomach problems that mean I need to drink less and have not noticed dp drinking all my wine!

Have been feeling sick in and off but not so much today, I go from imagining doing things with my baby to visualising another erpc. My stomach is HUGE inthe evenings!

yellowtomato · 17/06/2011 09:44

Wanted to post in stages to avoid big post loss!

Wow harassed hearing the heartbeat must be amazing.

Glad all looks good Emma is there a next stage or is that it?

Love the sausage roll eating worm perhaps not the most subtle snack. I have all day meeting on tues that I am presenting most of so was wondering what/how to snack but will cross sausage rolls off the list.

My boobs are not bigger, only sore

What an amazing story from that Jan lady, my 8 week scan us next fri and it is hard for me to imagine a positive result.

Waves to all

yellowtomato · 17/06/2011 09:47

harassed hope all goes well with boss today, deep breaths. I know my company won't be impressed as I've been there such a short time.

worm hope you get appt soon

wombatinwaiting · 17/06/2011 10:35

Glad to hear all going well with the rellies and sickness yellow - when are you back?

Keep us posted on your meeting with the boss harassed and I think you should start chasing the postman worm - don't know how you've kept your patience this long!

Am also starting to get concerned about this boobage issue sparkly..... I am also fairly well endowed at 32E and have gone up to 34F already and had awful flashback to visiting good friend in hospital post birth and catching sight of her boobs and not being able to stop staring - they were H U G E!! Really don't think there's much that can be done - I am definitely not going to stop wearing underwire - they say so long as it fits properly then it's not an issue. I have also read Anita bras are good.

Yes worm the year's rent in advance is a PITA however most places these days will take 2-4 post-dated cheques, however we couldn't this time as we negotiated a discount based on paying in 1 cheque. It's not too bad as companies here will tend to pay your housing allowance monthly or sometimes up front (as in the case of DH each Nov so we have had to do a bit of re-shuffling of offshore finances). We are having a ruthless clear out today which has been very cleansing so far although got a bit sad when I put all my lovely lingerie into a separate bag for when I shrink back to my pre-pg size 10 weeks after giving birth......

Sparklywine · 17/06/2011 12:59

Size 10 and 32E? Envy You'll topple over Wombat, at least my extra weightage acts as ballast! Grin You're babelicious!
I think I'm going to have to buy cheap boulder-holders in upscaled sizes until the baby is here, then get measured for a decent nursing bra.

Massive you say, Harassed? I'll be one giant wall of boob!
Good luck with the boss!

Wormshuffler · 17/06/2011 14:08

Got my scan date......july 5th Grin i should be 12+4 then.

If you are taking the meeting yellow then I suggest you take a cake/biscuit tin in with loads, pretending they are for everyone!
I darn't get My boobs measured, I have been in my sports bra for 2 weeks now, no wire and so cumfy. I refuse to buy anything new until after the scan!
The boobs when milk comes in really is a sight to behold!!

Sparklywine · 17/06/2011 16:26

Grin at Yellow handing round a tin of Fox's classis selection biscuits to the amassed collection of spies and senior government officials. 'Pink wafer, James?'
My sports bra gave me a mono-boob, I'm going to buy a cheap and cheerful granny one from M&S I think. Told DH about imminent breast-growth and he got very excited, kept making 'grasping two melons' motions like Benny Hill.
The thought occured earlier, when I read Wombat's post, that I have no lovely lingerie, I'm such a sloth.

yellowtomato · 17/06/2011 16:42

I'll be back Sunday lunchtime wombat my boobs haven't really got any bigger although they are sore. Meeting is at an external venue where they do the catering and although I'm leading it will be v formal with lots of peeps more senior than me. I just don't want to vom on anyone!

Hurrah for the scan date worm not long to go now. We're having a big family meal in a restaurant tonight so have been trying to nap to prepare. My belly is so bloaty I'm surprised they haven't commented and wonder if I'll fit into any work clothes next week! I'm still a bit blocked and bought some prunes but I just can't stomach them Envy (sick face)
