Well done mrsb! I was beginning to get a bit anxious that we were going to split up so thank you! Here's to a very lucky opening post.

It's a lovely new home and I feel comfortable already (and the pressure is off to be producing daily gourmet breakfasts!)

Talking of which, I'm feeling guilty I didn't nourish you properly sparkly - poor you fainting and on a tram too! Mind you, poor DH too - is he recovered yet?! How lovely that everyone was so nice. Glad that all ok with blood pressure etc. and that you are taking it easy today. I have had a few dizzy episodes but nothing as drama-filled as your tram collapse!

koolforcats · 13/06/2011 11:57

ahem...not sure if anyone remembers me? Blush I was meltobe and was with lots of you lovelies on jue in June, and subsequently joined the first mc thread you started. I didn't keep up with the thread as we had terrible news at Christmas and to cut a long story short my DH is now on chemo Sad Our ttc journey continues but we're having to go down the ivf route now as we're not allowed to conceive naturally (chemo is too toxic). I'm on a lovely thread with ladies also embarking on ivf and we're feeling ever hopeful that it'll happen for us.

I just wanted to seek you all out and say hi as I'm sure we're all gobsmacked at how quickly June arrived - I know I was. I just skimmed your last thread and I'm so happy that so many of you are expecting again. I wish you all peaceful pregnancies and a whole heap of hope to those yet to get their bfp...it will happen.

Mrs B I saw that you're considering a fertility monitor.... I have a clearblue one which I'd happily send you as a good luck gift! I don't need it any more as I've handed my fertility over to the people in the lab! I start my ivf drugs tomorrow. PM me if you're interested Smile

I hope you don't mind if I check in from time to time...I have to admit that I'm still shamelessly lurking on jue in June... They're popping out bubbas all over the place!

yellowtomato · 13/06/2011 12:00

Morning ladies

Thank you for the new thread mrsb33 may it be a lucky one for you. I'm really sorry to hear that you are feeling so down, this ttc lark really is tough. I reckon you could probably sneak in and see the dr earlier if you explain how you are feeling etc, might be worth giving it a go. Also have you considered trying any 'alternative' options like acupuncture or chinese herbs? I don't know if that is what worked for me but it's worth a go. And harassed swears by that kinesology (or however you spell it) thing-y.

sparkly you get a very stern look from me for leaving the house without having breakfast, please don't do that again! Glad all checked out fine at the drs, enjoy your day off on the sofa.

Hey wellie I can't remember exactly where you are down under, is it anywhere near christchurch cos they've had more earthquakes haven't they?

harassed no broadband is the most annoying thing. For the next week in France I will have to rely on my phone which I know is going to drive me crazy.

worm how are you feeling now after your wobble? Boobs hurting? Any sickness?

And wombat did you have any more bleeding?

I'm not feeling quite so sick today but that might be because I had a restful weekend and am not at work today. I am meant to be on holiday but have to do a few hours work..........not really motivated though. I have a bikini wax in a bit and need to go to the library, pack etc. Also feel a nap coming on! Am feeling a bit worried about not feeling so sick............

I called the midwife to say I couldn't make the joint booking in appt and she said that they all all like that. So I told her I wouldn't be able to come until after 12 weeks when I'd told my boss. She was a bit sniffy about it and said she'd have to make a note in my file that I was refusing to come during the time period of 8 to 10 weeks when they normally do it. So I think i've got 'difficult' in my notes already! I've also got an 8 week scan booked for 24th June and 12 week for 19 July. Freaks me out to have all these appts as I've kind of been there before and had to cancel them.

So for mosquitoes I've got that 'skin so soft' stuff and mosi something that is meant to be natural. What about the plug in thing, is that ok or not?

waves to all........

yellowtomato · 13/06/2011 12:05

Hi koolforcats sorry x-posts with you. I do remember you, I'm sorry you've had such a difficult time. Really glad that you've found a supportive IVF thread and I wish you all the luck in the world with that. You probably already know this but I have heard that acupuncture can improve IVF outcomes.........

Thank you so much for your kind words......I am still feeling v wobbly but hoping for the best. Please feel free to lurk or pop in as it suits you, let us know how you get on.

I only briefly glanced at Jue in June, it seems so weird that could have been us but it does give me a bit of hope too.

Sparklywine · 13/06/2011 12:31

I've gone off lemon actually but the gesture is lovely, thanks Grin Your post made me a bit teary, what an awful time of it you are having, puts my fainty, shitting, headachey toast-eating monolgues in perspective. I wish you and dh all the luck in the world. Can you bring in some fruit scones tomorrow please. Grin
Just watching This Morning, Cindy Beale has turned up in Weatherfield with a stupid accent - by eck! Pah. 'Appen I fainted on t'tram!
Well done for the new thread MrsB, the golden egg shall be yours
I get up at 6.20am as it is Yellow, breakfast is not top of the agenda at that hour, especially after divvying out 4 bowls of Kitekat I always manage to get a dollop of jelly on my foot, it's really offputting. I'll try and manage some toast though
I am starting to look like a buttery, square piece of best of both toasty bread....

harassedinherpants · 13/06/2011 12:54

mrsB thank you for the new hang out! I really think you should have a look into Kinesiology.... I won't rave because you've heard it before Grin

Hello koolforcats I'm a "newbie" but it sounds like you've had an awful time of it. I'm glad you have a supportive IVF thread though. Thanks for the cake!!

Sparkly I'm also going to glare at you for not eating breakfast!!! I did however faint in the middle of town on my own when preg with the ds's. So I think you're having a boy! How can you still be feeding the cats?? I'm refusing to do it! We have pouches and I can't open them, and then it goes on my hand and then I puke......

Yellow if your notes say difficult, then mine say neurotic Grin. It's their job, they should sort it out!! Do you mean that all your ante natal care appointments are joint/group style?? If so, that's ridiculous! The lack of sickness is almost def due to you being well rested.....I've found rest or lack of has made a huge difference over the last few weeks.

Wombat any news?? All quiet I hope.

Thinking of a name change......

MarathonMama · 13/06/2011 13:24

Hello again all Grin

Loving the new thread, hope it brings lots of luck!

Just marking a spot so that it comes up in "I'm on". Liking the new iPhone app but wondering where the tea is?

I'm cd4 now and planning on testing at cd10. I can't remember who mentioned the sperm meets egg plan but can someone tell me the newbie what it is?

emmaandthestar · 13/06/2011 13:42

Hello, mmm - is there any cake left?

Glad you moved the sofas in here - the last place was v comfy

Thank you Mrsb for the new thread - I hope this will be our lucky one :)

Sparkly you must keep some snacks in your bag, I am picturing you wafting around in your maxi dresses with a big oversized bag on your arm... plenty of room in there for the odd biscuit

I have lost my voice, my dh is loving it as no shouting/nagging etc :o

I too saw Cindy with the most bizarre accent - is she meant to be welsh?!

CD6 - Counting down to SWI and hoping all the blood tests etc will be a complete waste of time due to getting updiffed!!

Wormshuffler · 13/06/2011 13:48

Great we have a new thread phew! Nice one mrsb

I'm so sorry to hear about your DH koolforkats I wish you and Dh all the luck in the world.

Hope you are feeling better sparkly after your dramatic morning, sound awful, I remember fainting once after I gave blood, I was in macdonalds and they took me outside on the high street and sat me on a chair! Bastards!

I still can't gey my head around a group booking in, I mean booking in is about you giving all your personal information! and what so you are supposed to confess to your sexual history in front of a load of strangers??? It's bloody ridiculous, I would be off to the GP and make them do it.

Well sickness not really there at all but feeling massively tired and boobs hurting again. Also got lots of stretchy achey typr pains in tummy and like harassed I am bunged up in the toilet department. DH asked me yesterday if I wanted a cup of tea and I said " no thanks can I just have a cup of hot water" as dr google reckons thats good. Think DH believes I have lost the plot! I'm skiving working from home this afternoon and about to sneak a nan nap in before the school run.

yellowtomato · 13/06/2011 14:44

oooh napping is good worm I'd have one too if I could get off MN long enough to finish off the work I'm meant to be doing.........

sparkly I understand about time being short in the morning but cereal bars or other snacks (i'm liking baby bel at the moment) should be on your person at all times.

I can also join the 'bunged up' gang.......dried prunes have really helped me before if I eat about 7 but really can't face them right now.

Feeling a bit sick again so that's good.........

Yeh I'm really not sure about the group booking in, she said something about it being an information session and they also take blood and then you have another appt 2 weeks later to discuss or something. But it wasn't the group bit so much I was objecting to, more the fact that it can only take place at 1pm on a weekday and lasts 2 hours. How to explain to my boss when I've just had a week off on holiday and clearly don't want to share the news yet for many obvious reasons including the fact that I'm still on my trial period. I just can't think of a way to explain a 2 hour absence in the middle of the day. Esp as the appt is near my flat so would take about 45 mins to get there. Cos we are meant to make dentist/dr etc at beginning or end of the day. Bah and Pah is all I'm saying! I've never been to a booking in before but I don't think it was this group business last time I had an appt.

Anyway, might not get that far. I have my 8 week and 12 week scans booked at this is what I care about more.

Sparklywine · 13/06/2011 15:23

Now watching Coach Trip and researching stair runners, snacking on fruit and a Breakaway
Thanks for all my tellings off, it seemed normal to me to have brekkie at work at 8.30am when I got in, now I've been scolded I'm thinking 'Oh, yeah actually, daft bint!' Grin I shall have a go-ahead yoghurt bar or similar, if not in the house then on the move, and also take the walk to the tram more slowly, I do tend to set out on a mission.
Yellow, I am far from sociable but the group thing would be ok wouldn't it, if you did all the bum-sex confessions in private first. Is that in the booking in appt actually? I might be thinking of anther trip to the clinic there.....Blush heh, anyway, you'll get to meet other mums to be who have been made to take an entire day off, you can gang up! I'm in the same boat, my 16 week midwife appt can only be at 12.40pm on a Monday afternoon, crazy!
Worm, I did giggle at the image of you outside McDonalds pinned to a plastic chair, trying not to be spotted by the parish council matrons Grin The indignity!

yellowtomato · 13/06/2011 16:21

Oooh I am on the new iPhone app, fancy!

Wormshuffler · 14/06/2011 06:07

Morning girls
I hope I find you all well on this gloriously sunny morning? especially for sparkly I lay out a full english, no excuses for callapsing on the tram on my watch! christ! I'm having 3 breakfasts at the minute! or I end up feeling weak and woosy. I am going to be gi-normous Blush

Yellow you are right about the scans being more important than booking in........when I had the DC's you had your scan, and then had the booking in immediately after, which was so much better, I felt like a fraud at mine on saturday, as I still don't actually know there is anything there for sure. My booking in was all personal stuff, family history of mental illness, personal history of drugs, depression etc. The only part that could have been group was where they did the breastfeeding sermon (a bit early for that now me thinks!)

I had a lovely baby dream last night, it was a boy.

Waves to wombat, mrs b, emma, marathon, harassed, Kool and anyone else I may have missed (sorry)

wombatinwaiting · 14/06/2011 08:01

He he sparkly - also giggled at your image of worm in the plastic seat hiding from the parish council biddies! Grin Glad that the combined threat of the breakfast police has scared you into Go Ahead action! Thank you for the full english worm - don't mind if I do! How lovely to have a nice dream about bub.

Bunged up and feeling sick is all good news yellow although am also Hmm at the group booking in - you'd really think that they would do a late afternoon or evening one given the huuuuge percentage of women that work full time these days.... great that you have your scans booked in - remind me of your dates if you would...... is it off on hols today? So glad the iphone app is working so you can keep us updated!

Glad your symptoms are still there worm even if they're not much fun. Again, can you also please remind me of your dates and when your scan is (if you decide not to cave for an early one that is)

Ooh marathon and emma - you two seem to be cycle buddies. I'm liking your positivity emma and I have heard a lot about the sperm meets egg plan marathon on mn but can't remember the details - I think Dr Google might actually be able to help there.

And a big hello to koolforkats - I do remember you from jue in june and early on here as meltobe. What a time you've gone through - wishing you and DH all the luck in the world for his treatment and the IVF. Great that you have found a supportive thread on mn and today must be quite exciting (although nerve wracking) with starting the ivf drugs. Please do hang around - we like a bit of fresh blood on here! ALthough you have to sometimes run the gauntlet of worm and sparkly scaring off lurkers Wink Grin. Oh and thanks for the yummy cake too!

How are you feeling today mrsb? Has the red witch put in an appearance yet or are the grumblings you felt something else....? Hope you're ok x

Wormshuffler · 14/06/2011 08:21

I'm now 9+5, wombat and excitedly awaiting the postman for my scan date! will be between 11 and 13+6 as it is a nuchal too, potentially only 9 days! Not caving in now :)

yellowtomato · 14/06/2011 08:32

Hello ladies

Off to france today, not packed yet and leaving in 2 hours but did proper sick retching this am so having a sit down with some crackers.

For your spreadsheet I am having a scan when I should be 8 weeks at 9.40 am on 24th June. 12 week scan is on 19 July but not thinking that far ahead yet. It is going to be so tough spending a week with the in laws not drinking, lying and feeling sick.

Must go and attempt packing.

wombatinwaiting · 14/06/2011 09:12

Thanks for the stats yellow and worm - duly noted and recorded! Ooh - exciting re: the postman worm - do let us know when you get it.

Get packing yellow and have a wonderful time! x

harassedinherpants · 14/06/2011 09:41

Mmmmm foood! I'm just starving the whole time, nothing to do with sickness any more really as that's much improved. Just hungry!

yellow have a fab holiday lovely. Bummer being in France and unable to have wine or gorgeous cheese! Hope the weather is good for you.

wombat you are funny! Come on, 'fess up, do you actually have a spreadsheet????!!

worm oooh exciting at scan date coming Grin.

sparkly hope you've partaken of some of the lovely breakfast on offer this morning!

All good here!! It was our wedding anniversary yesterday so I had an early night. On my own haha. I just can't stay awake! Hayfever has hit me with a vengeance, I'm sniffing and sneezing constantly and am fed up with feeling bunged up. So I'm going to try and get a doctors appointment today. There must be something I can take. I'm a tad miffed, as didn't get it when I was preg with dd and then after when I was bf'ing.

Oh I bought a couple of maternity bits yesterday!!! Yikes!!! I tried one of my dresses on this morning that I was planning to wear to a wedding reception next month. The shape is ideal even though it's non-maternity but my boobs are too big now......Blush.

wellieboots · 14/06/2011 10:54

Ha! Found you! Thanks mrsb!

marathon the smep plan can be found using Dr Google but briefly is - SWI from day 8, every other day and start POAS on ov sticks from day 10 - when you get a positive opk, SWI that day and for the following 2 days, then take a night off, then SWI for one more night.

We tried it one month but the opk's were impossible to read and we got tired!

mrsb hope you are feeling better, hi kool nice to meet you, I wasn't on "Jue in June", only found mn after I mc'd Sad but yes, isn't it weird how quickly June has come round

great to see you emma I admire your positivity, how are things with your beans harassed and wombat and worm and sparkly??

bit Sad today - less than a week to dd, no jobs coming up and got rejections from a couple today, DM just wants me to come home (btw, thankfully we are not in CHC, we're in Sydney but DSIL's family are in CHC and thankfully they are all ok :)

Waves to everyone!

wombatinwaiting · 14/06/2011 15:03

Happy anniversary! But bugger re: the dress harassed - do you have an alternative? And noooo, I don't really have a spreadsheet but wondering if I should as I seem to have to go back a few pages sometimes to remember where everyone is at... think that might be a bit stalker-ish Hmm

Glad you found us wellie - sorry to hear you're feeling a bit blue today and no wonder with all that's going on for you. Sending British ex-pat hugs x

Forgot to say that the spotting seemed to be a one-off incident on Fri night and nothing since - phew.... think it might have been the sex which is a shame as it's not like we're at it like rabbits or anything, unlike worm and mrsb......Grin

emmaandthestar · 14/06/2011 15:20

Here's the link for the smep - looks like hard work: www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm

We may give it a go, although I don't think we will start as early as day 8 as I tend to ovulate slightly late (around 18-20).

Interesting about the cough syrup though - has anyone tried that? before you ask it is ingested orally not en-fanjo!

harassedinherpants · 14/06/2011 15:35

I tried the cough syrup emma. It was before I got my very first bfp in Dec. Not sure if it worked, but I was giving anything a go!! What really worked for me, and still is, is kinesiology. Worth a google...... I started taking Vit B6 p5p mid cycle, and my next af was totally different. Not clotty or painful, and seemed like nice "clean" blood iykwim! I got a bfp the next cycle. Unfortunately I had a mmc in Jan, waited for af, got another bfp and then mc'd very early on. This time I got my bfp straight after last mc! I've been seeing my kinesiologist really regularly, at the beginning every 2-3 days, and it's worked.... so far.

wombat I do have an alternative, a red strapless maxi dress, but really fancied wearing the first one. I was also planning on wearing the red dress to a christening....... but I can wear the black one I think, maybe! I need a new strapless bra too, I only bought one 6 weeks ago.

harassedinherpants · 14/06/2011 15:37

Argh pressed Enter!!

wellie I'm sorry you're feeling a bit down in the dumps, it must be tough with dd approaching.

MarathonMama · 15/06/2011 11:27

Hi all!

Thanks for the link emma, it all sounds quite tiring, especially if you need to keep it up for months (literally Wink). Interesting about the cough syrup though, I'm going to give it a few months as she suggests and then think about trying it. I think my hormones are all over the place as AF was on its way out but has now returned with a vengeance. Breasts are super tender too so I don't know what's going on.

harassed is Vit B6 p5p to regulate your hormones? I looked into kiseology and we don't have any practitioners nearby. Might try accupunture though, was that wombat's suggestion?

wellie hope you're feeling better.

All you bump buddies, hope you've got loads of sickness, sore boobs etc (in a good way of course Smile)
