Who's in?

OP posts:
Jebel · 14/06/2011 20:48

lintilla that is irritating indeed. This month I was due to go on a biz trip and knew I was about to ov. I did for one moment size up one of my colleagues and wondered if he'd do cancel the trip in the end with a very lame excuse about a hospital apptmt I'd forgotten.

And am supposed to be going next week but obviously don't want to be away from DH when I get my BFP.

Jebel · 14/06/2011 20:50

Am liking your style friend

Am concerned my hot flushes and nausea could be flu but have been fantasizing about getting a BFP in the month when I went on 2 day bender + got food poisoning + got flu and having a super good looking intelligent child against all the odds

Lintilla · 14/06/2011 23:17

Jebel I have often wondered if DD is really mine and DH's as she was conceived whilst absolutely plastered we were a bit tipsy on the only time we did it that month and is the most wonderful, funny, intelligent (for a 16 month old) child in the world, EVER!

I have nightmares that somehow someone else was involved (although not possible I might add) and now we're having ishooooss with no.2 I do keep wondering if I missed something!!

DH and I were apart when I got my BFP and for some reason I thought he would be angry (despite trying for 2 months) so I didn't tell him for 30 minutes. I dried my hair, did my make up, got dressed for work, sat down and phoned him. He practically hung up on me, then phoned back in shock, and was so pleased...

havealittlefaithbaby · 15/06/2011 07:03

Morning all! Temps still high, bfn...Hmm really am suspecting am only 13dpo not 17 like FF thinks which explains why the per sticks are wrong and stupid. They will change their minds because obviously, I am pregnant!

allhailtheaubergine · 15/06/2011 08:42

I had a very vivid dream last night where I poas and got a BFP.

Portentous, I think. Oh yes.

Am still very pregnant. Am completely knackered and have an odd appetite.

Last night I burst into tears because I couldn't fit all the biscuits into the biscuit tin. PROOF! As if proof were needed...

Friend now that, madam, is what I call dedication to the cause Grin

This month clearly a practice run. You'll be rocking that top come autumn, I insist.

Shitsticks to the bfn have, although I think we're all agreed somewhere along the lines there's been a calamitous error on the piss-stick front, since you are, in fact, with child. Oh yes.

aubergine I think you'd better start stocking up on the old ginger biccies, old thing. You are a mere 48 hours away from your first bout of morning sickness.

Aries the word 'dandled' isn't used anything like enough!

Ach well, not much symptoms this end, being 2DPO. However I have it on good authority that many pals were diffed the one month there were no symptoms, so I think we're all agreed I'd better start planning what box sets to order off Amazon for my maternity leave. Oh yes.

maybebabyR · 15/06/2011 10:52

Good plan bloofer

Sorry about the BFN have I have a feeling they will be turning positive by the end of the week.

I nearly smacked a guy in the mouth on the tube this morning for chewing gum. Now if that's not pregnancy hormones then I don't know what is Smile

Jebel · 15/06/2011 12:56

have I do indeed have much faith that yours will be a BFP soon.

I'm still feeling vile and am now getting funny comments from my colleagues about maybe being pg, ha bloody ha (they don't know TTC). Am trying to have faith but confidence is wavering often.

havealittlefaithbaby · 15/06/2011 13:21

Boobs are still so sore!! And massive, stated to expect people to comment... No notion of the evil witch arriving so I am holding on to my name Smile
Jebel excellent about you.feeling rough, don't despair tis clearly a bean!

maybebabyR · 15/06/2011 13:35

Nice one have loving the positivity. I myself have slipped on the positive front. I am not entirely sure why as I am so tired I can barely sit upright, my boobs are sore and I am always hungry but couldn't tell you what I want to eat Hmm

Sorry you are feeling rubbish jebel, though this all obviously means you are pregnant Smile

havealittlefaithbaby · 15/06/2011 16:10

Thanks maybe! Surely you should feel positive with that list of symptoms? Any idiot can see you're upduffed!
I'll be adding increased peeing frequency to symptom list. Nothing to do with drinking a litre of water and bottle of diet coke at lunch.

maybebabyR · 15/06/2011 18:14

Well, isn't increased thirst a symptom too have??!!

I have just got home from work, and have had really uncomfortable feelings in my uterine area Hmm all the way home. Nothing to do with being cramped up on a busy train...

havealittlefaithbaby · 15/06/2011 18:43

Yes of course, nothing to do with not drinking anything for 4 hours!
Clearly your bean did not like the train maybe! Those feelings were it's first.communication with you!

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 15/06/2011 20:58

Hello ladies! Well, gosh and golly, aren't you all just blooming! Grin

I am continuing preperations for pregnancy by spending money I should be saving for baby things on things I don't really need. Have just spent a small fortune on some really, really posh bed sheets so I am now bound to get pregnant so i can spend the next 9 month throwing up on them and then have a small child to piss all over them. I wonder if DP would find it a turn off if I put towels down to do the sprog creation deed so as not to get goo on them...or maybe we'll just have to do it on the sofa instead.

Anyways, keep up the good work!

havealittlefaithbaby · 15/06/2011 21:11

Yes my bean this month was probably conceived on the living room rug! Wink makes ttc more exciting as well, varying location.
Excellent extravagant spending hiding. I have bought new bras that I won't be able to wear when pregnant due to underwiring. Awesome!

havealittlefaithbaby · 16/06/2011 06:25

Oh stoopid pee sticks are still wrong! My temp is still high so clearly I'm pregnant!! The wait to prove it continues...

Jebel · 16/06/2011 06:37

I am no longer feeling rubbish and am quite annoyed as now have no symptoms. Nada. Perfectly bloody blooming normal. Couldn't hold out and POAS today. BFN of course. Only 10 DPO but it was a super sensitive one.

I told the pharmacist (who treats me a little like a drug addict as I leave the engine running in the car and charge in to buy tests on the way home from work, panting, demanding, money ready) that I didn't want any of his snazzy digital or +/- tests, I wanted the dirtiest, naughtiest, earliest little stick he could find. So he rummaged around and triumphant produced these strange little purple sticks that claim you can test from 10DPO.

I only bought 2 damn and blast, so will have to scurry back for more at the weekend and hang my head in shame before him one more time.

CheerfulYank · 16/06/2011 06:45
AmandaCooper · 16/06/2011 08:23

Cheerfulyank you want the "waiting to try for a baby" thread where how to convince DH/DP is pretty much the only topic of conversation!

CheerfulYank · 16/06/2011 08:29

Ooooh, where, where?!!

Good luck, ladies, I'll be lurking and sending good thoughts your way!

schobe · 16/06/2011 08:31

CD7 and I'm working up to being back in the game.

I seem to have gained about half a stone despite the whole non-pregnancy thing.

Perhaps I was just getting in character that tiny bit too much - ladies beware.

BlooferLady · 16/06/2011 08:40

Jebel 10DPO plainly too early. Am chuckling at dirtiest, naughtiest tests....on that note can I recommend these babies? They don't come cheaper and dirtier, oh dear me now. Dozens of paltry little paper slips in cheap plastic packaging, as used by the NHS. Oh - and they work, too - I know lots who've had BFPs on these things.

schobe hurrah for revving up for the monthly boffings! Tough innit? I have taken to slouching miserably into the room picking my nose and saying "Oh God I think we have to have sex, sorry about that...." Grin

Good luck with the persuading, Cheerful - hope to see you back here soon, only obviously none of us will be left by then. What with already being pregnant.

Where's Aries??

maybebabyR · 16/06/2011 08:46

jebel I feel your pain. I too am 10DPO and took a first response. No Line. Though I am pleased I got a shadow. Whilst I know this is an evaporation line, sometimes it lifts my spirits Grin

I am literally so hot I could melt marble. Which is hot. And I feel poo, and mount vesuvius has erupted on my head. I don't get many spots. Nature is cruel

BlooferLady · 16/06/2011 08:52

Hang on just a cotton picking minute here maybe - whaddya mean shadow/evaporation line? I thought they didn't show for hours after you test? And how do you know it's not a line line line? All the rest is tres excite, including your spotty head Grin

maybebabyR · 16/06/2011 10:15

Haha, I love yur optimism bloofer Though I think for now I shall stick with the evaporation line theory!!

But to top it all off, there is what can only be described as torrential rain in London this morning. And I didn't bring an umbrella. Or a coat. Not impressed to say the least Smile
