scrummy yay get a puppy! Weimy pups are gorgeous and not all as naughty as my devil pup!!

island I think you might have to wait a day or to to be sure, get some sneaky swi just in case.

Poppyjen · 28/05/2011 19:06

Hi ladies. On our way back from holidays and with bad news.

I started bleeding yesterday, just a little at first but today there's no mistaking it. I guess some things really are too good to be true Sad

Can't stop crying - I know this happens to lots of people but I am still so sad. We'll be back trying again soon but for now I feel like I want to hide in a dark corner somewhere...

Sorry for such a down post.

VintageNancy · 28/05/2011 20:23

Oh so sorry poppy x

jaggythistle · 28/05/2011 20:44

any very quiet SWI tips welcome, I've arranged to visit my parents soon and unless i ov earlier like last month my fertile days plus ov will be at their house! the walls are quite thin...
oops.

they are very excited to have DS to visit though, so i can't really put it off.

sorry about AF scrummy
hi mitzi

IslandIsla · 28/05/2011 22:15

Really sorry to hear that poppy Even though it does happen (unfortunately) to many, it doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't feel sad. xx

jaggy - I had the same thing last month. Got a positive ov test just before we jumped in the car to travel to my parents for the weekend!! It wasn't as bad as I thought!! My parents are early birds so going to bed early wasn't a problem. Sometimes being quiet can be fun!! Grin

IslandIsla · 28/05/2011 22:41

arghhh! spoke too soon. just had some more ewcm. so maybe have not ov'd ... I think its going to be one of those months!

jaggythistle · 29/05/2011 02:11

really sorry to hear that poppy. :(

posted earlier and somehow didn't see your message.

Scrummybumb · 29/05/2011 10:20

jaggy set your alarm on (quietly, under your pillow) after mid-night and surprise you DH! He'll be happy (IYSWIM) but half asleep, so won't make a noise! Grin

isla what OPKs do you use? Only wonder why you got so many positives.

weimy DH doesn't seem too keen Sad. Will have to try and work my womanly magic on him Wink

poppy so sorry to hear that. It must be really difficult. AF arriving on it's own is bad enough, but to have that after a BFP must be devastating. I hope you have a lot of support. Take care of yourself.

I'm I'll today and got in-laws in for lunch!

digitalgirl · 29/05/2011 12:18

poppy so so sorry to hear that Sad. Doesn't matter how short-lived it is still so very upsetting when it happens. Take care of yourself this weekend.

isla same here. Thought I'd ov either Friday or yesterday (def felt crampy and ov pains yest), but temp down this morning. Didn't go to bed till about 2am as was at a wedding, not sure if this had an effect. So waiting to see what tomorrows temp brings.

jaggy my tips are 'spooning' (less bed creaking), and shoving a pillow over dh's mouth at crucial moment!

We went to a wedding yesterday and ds (2.10) danced till the band finished at 11:30pm! I clearly have a young raver on my hands.

OP posts:
IslandIsla · 29/05/2011 13:13

poppy hope you are taking care of yourself and so is your dh.

digital its so annoying isn't it! I'm not sure what's happening but continuing with the opks and swi for the moment! I had a weird month like this in March, but AF arrived as if I ov'd before the end of the ewcm - either that or a short luteal phase.

Your DS sounds such a cutie! We are going to a wedding in august, and hoping DD wil be able to stay up and dance (she'll be 2.5yrs). Hope DS is not too grumpy today after all that raving!

The uncertainty in my chart is of course partly my own fault for being lax with temps until cd12 or something, so a temp shift is hard to define - but cd14 would have been a really early ov for me, which is why I hadn't started taking them yet!! that will teach me!!

jaggy we managed it last night with the ILs in the next room!! We are getting to be expert at swi with parents in the house!! Its amazing what you'll do for that bfp!!

scrummy I have the opks from access diagnostics, think they are 'one step' with 20miu sensitivity. First positive was 6pm on the first day (neg earlier in day), last positive was FMU on the third day, and was negative later in the day. So 3 days of positives is actually more like 36 hours. If I tested 3pm each day (like I normally do - I've gone a bit nuts this cycle) then I likely would have had one positive. I might change my regular test time to 6pm for future cycles to catch the beginning of the surge.

duckdodgers · 29/05/2011 20:54

scrummy - catching up late here but so sorry AF turned up, I hate that first CD1 feeling, so lots of sympathy from me here. And yes it would have been good if we had "seen" it implanting eh.

And why so long to wait till September for your appointment, sorry.

poppy - ah no. Sad

Hello to everyone else,.

Me, well I think I ovulated yesterday - I had a positive OPK on Friday and Saturday and my temp went up today. Only problem is I havent swi since last week - planned to on Friday night and then had a barney with DH - I wasnt for giving in no way - but I felt like saying get it up and swi but I still think you are a twat Grin

And then he works from 9am on a Sat to 9am on a Sun so no chance then this month I fear.

weimy · 29/05/2011 22:09

oh poppy I'm so sorry :(

Scrummybumb · 30/05/2011 09:26

duck that really sucks! Sorry. Hope you guys have managed to patch things up!

I'm having a good CD4. Have started SWI early this month, and will follow the every other day rule. I just won't give up!

I wonder if they've given me a september appt as that takes me to 12 months. Or they are just too busy, with little funding. I might just try and get the tests done as soon as I get them, and see GP for advice/private referral if required.

isla I've noticed your temps are up this morning, but I would agree with FF about ov date based on what you said...

digital they start young these days, don't they?! Grin

IslandIsla · 30/05/2011 09:27

duckdodgers thats frustrating! I had an argument with DH once at ov time, and I was thinking, oh great, I'm ov'ing! We did kiss and make up in the end!

Temp rise this morning. I was very crampy yesterday so ov is possible. If I did ov yesterday then its days after the positive ov test (very clear negatives since) plus we didn't dtd yesterday! (going for the every other day so as not to exhaust ourselves!) My chart really has me stumped this month. Shall have to see what the next few days brings.

bossyboop · 30/05/2011 09:43

Thoughts go out to Poppy, awful thing to go through no matter how early on.

Doom and gloom from me today, chart was looking great, more temps below cover line than above pre ov, was chuffed to see it looking 'normal'. I was full of hope I would be one of the ones to get a bfp after a hsg so was feeling positive. Started spotting 6dpo which even made me smile - it was so early surely it had to be implantation, 9dpo today and temp dipped below cover line, looking like af is going to start so getting on with a new chart. I have the most pointless LP ever.

Great news though, my best friend got a bfp, she has been trying for ages and I am so pleased for her for lots of reasons. But for me I think I need to stop ttc for my own sanity, 20 months in and it's just too long now.

digitalgirl · 30/05/2011 11:47

Oh FFS

Seriously, it's 4 days post positive opk and temp has actually nose dived. Cervix v high for the last few days but still closed. Just won't open. Feeling really crampy too. In the past 12 months my follicular phase has never been longer than 25 days (not counting WTF cycles). I've been taking metformin in order to shorten my long cycles and it hasn't made any difference this cycle.
Knew I'd be mentalling by now...

bossy sorry to hear it's been so long for you. I've been ttc#2 for 22 months now so I know how disheartening it can be.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 30/05/2011 13:31

Just poking my head in to say helo and don't forget me :)

So sad for you poppy :( hope you are being looked after x

AuntieDoris · 31/05/2011 08:02

Well the weirdest cycle ever continues. Would anyone mind looking at my chart and seeing whether they think I have ovulated at some point, and if so, when?

It is so confusing me!

digitalgirl · 31/05/2011 15:30

Sorry auntieD it doesn't look like it's happened yet. We can hold hands and do an Indian egg dance to bring it on though as my temp still hasn't gone up into my post ov range yet either.

Cervix was open yesterday evening and dh got a sudden urge to ravish me earlier on in the day Blush which usually happens around my fertile time. Please please please can the egg come soon?

Mitzimaybe · 31/05/2011 15:51

Poppy sorry for your news.

Digitalgirl sounds promising!

Hi! to everyone else

I'm CD2. :( On the positive side, it means I'm likely to ov when we're on holiday, which is very good news for swi chances. (My DP and I live apart and only see each other at weekends which rather limits our chances. I would move up there if were were successful at TTC. Not that he really wants to TTC anyway... but enough about that.)

Scrummybumb · 31/05/2011 20:27

mitzi holiday SWI sounds good! Long distance relationship must be so hard. You two must really love each other to keep it going. I'm seriously considering a new business opportunity in long distance sperm transport. Must see if the dragons would back it!

digital you little minx Wink

auntied I fear I agree with digital...Can I join in on that egg dance? It sounds fun Grin

Hi ifat we haven't, and won't, forget Smile

bossy glad to hear news re your friend. Any BFP after a long TTC round gives us hope. I was wondering, would your GP have the results of your HSG?

weimy · 31/05/2011 23:03

:( sorry bossy and digital xx

Clear blue thing showed an egg this morning so I gave DH his orders, bless him he was really accomodating considering we had the mother of all rows last night and he slept down stairs Blush.

digitalgirl · 01/06/2011 07:11

Temp still not up Sad

I'm actually getting depressed about this now. It's never taken this long before.

OP posts:
wheredmysanitygo · 01/06/2011 08:03

Yay AuntieD, looks like it might have happened after all. And fx digital that your temps start climbing soon.

to everybody else

After a weekend away not thinking too much about ttc (and a couple of unexpectedly high temps on my chart which may or may not be due to copious amounts of alcohol drunk...:o) my temps now seem to be stabilising and it's onto some serious swi methinks.

Hope everyone's enjoying the four day week.

AuntieDoris · 01/06/2011 08:38

Weird. The only thing I can thing of is that I had a really nasty cold days 12-14 which is when I often ovulate. I wonder whether being poorly has delayed my ovulation. I do hope so - we have been on holiday in Somerset this week and have been having lots of lovely, not-tired SWI!
