Just found out you are pregnant after a previous miscarriage? There is plenty of support, hand holding and problem-shared-problem-halved going on over here. All welcome to join in.

Cep - ahh, I think I misunderstood - you're paranoid cos it doesn't feel uncomfortable anymore rather than you became paranoid cos it started to feel uncomfortable. As per MummyA's diagram, remember things are moving all the time so what hurts one day might not the next.

LaraMi · 12/05/2011 16:03

Harassed - as per my post, I have zero motivation... In fact, wish I could sleep the time away till my scan. Everything requires massive effort and I am perpetually tired. My output at work is minimal (enough so that they don't suspect anything).

Fancy swapping a Monster Munch for a hula hoop?

cep · 12/05/2011 16:04

lara the second one. Grin i know, i think the main thing is i can't remember with ds when i had to stop sleeping on my front but i seem to remember it being early, so when i seemed to feel it last week it seemed right on time, but now it's stopped.

hihp oooh pickled onion monster munch i haven't had them for years.

Bumpwanted · 12/05/2011 16:06

Ha! I can relate to the minimum output at work! I probably write more on here than I do emails! I too wanted pickled onion monster munch the other day....

Just out of curiosity..has everyone told their parents they are pg? I am 5 weeks 3 days and haven't told anyone. I suspect my Mum is going to be upset if I let it go on much longer and don't tell her but telling people makes it more real and she will be all excited. What have you done?

cep · 12/05/2011 16:10

bump i didn't tell either parents till after my 12 week scan. (actually i lie i told my parents the weekend before as they were down, but i had passed 12 weeks.)

LaraMi · 12/05/2011 16:26

I told my Mum and sister fairly early on. My mum swore to secrecy before then "accidentally" telling my brother (and other people I am not aware of I'm sure).

harassedinherpants · 12/05/2011 16:28

I've told my parents, as I don't want to be humping things about at theirs. Also told my sons. They're 21 & 20 and helping when we move, so need them to really help me so that bil & fil don't suspect anything!

Otherwise I'll be waiting until after 12 week scan.

Just to clarify.......I haven't got an monster much. But I hope to later Grin!!

CollieandPup · 12/05/2011 16:54

Afternoon ladies,

pink great news on yesterdays scan? Did we clarify if you know the flavour?

wiw yippee for great scan and nt results!!! it's such a relief isn't it??? I hope you've been basking in the good news all day.

harassed we're always here for you to mental on. In fact I'd be very upset if you didn't as then I'd feel like the only one who loses it regulary!!! Hope you're ok though sweet. You're doing right not exherting yourself too much. It's just not worth the risk and worry.

hairylights · 12/05/2011 17:40

This thread is fast moving. Have been away with work since tues evening and my symptoms have totally disappeared. Cramping gone but no sore boobs or swollen glands. Am basically ignoring the whole thing. If it goes tits up I just hope this time I bleed and miscarry naturally.

Good luck Hadrian for tomorrow

mousebaconmakestinysandwiches · 12/05/2011 18:36

Grin waves to all xx

mousebaconmakestinysandwiches · 12/05/2011 18:39

Oh god, sorry hairy I totally missed your post. I hope it's not what you think (((hug)))

Ninunina · 12/05/2011 19:02

:) feeling really happy after my scan. Baby is growing nicely, and is either tall, or a bit older then I thought since they moved forward my edd to 15/11/11 which puts me at 13+2 weeks.

Nuchal scan was very thin, so I'm quite confident about it all. I'm so relieved. I'm now ready to tell the world. Obviously don't know the flavor, but I keep on calling lil'bean a him. Motherly instinct? Who knows?

collie I've got a new manager too. We have our first catch up on Monday, I don't know how to tell her. She's just come back from maternity leave so i hope she'll be understanding. It shouldn't be a huhe deal since my company has been bought by another one, so chances are that we'll all take voluntary redundancy at the end of it anyway.

CollieandPup · 12/05/2011 19:21

ninu so happy for you after a great scan! How many days have you gained? Is the tall thing really a possibility, as I gained 5 days but know I couldn't have ov'd then. I'm only a short arse though at 5ft 2 and DH about 5ft 10 so not overly tall... Thats sad to hear you might be made redundant, but i suppose if you plan to move back home anyway it's not a bad thing for you.

hairy fx your wrong. Have you got a scan arranged?

mouse ooh are you a northern lass too??? Where are you?

Back to car talk (sorry) is the boot of the 1 series really small? We looked back in dec before I mc, but not since. From memory I thought itcwas the same as the A3?

Blackkat · 12/05/2011 19:32

WIW and Ninu so pleased both todays scans went well Grin Grin lovely news!!

Good luck to Scooby, Hadrian and Tiggers for tomorrow's scans.

HIHP and Hairy so sorry to hear you are struggling. Remember symptoms come and go even though it's so hard to hang onto that (wishes could take her own advice!) (((hugs)))

Pink thanks for updating the list Smile

Collie 1 series boot is small, room for buggy and nothing else IMO, we could only get one suitcase in the boot comfortably.

Yay for Mouse signing up to Northern meet up - how was the first day back love?

Rant time - my midwife booking appt has finally arrived, I will be at 12+1 (my own fault for not calling sooner than 8 weeks), I know Lara you were right!! - my scan will be at 14 weeks probably, inspite of what happened last time..reaches for private scan number which is just abt on speed dial...beginning to agree with Izzy about sorting my own care [grumpy]

to everyone else,

Velvetcu · 12/05/2011 20:29

fab news wiw and ninu

Ninunina · 12/05/2011 20:34

Thanks collie and blackkat! My dates have been forward 6 days, which could be possible. I thought I would be 1 day ahead, not 6, but since I was in my wtf cycle, anything is possible.

Collie I would agree with blackkat about the boot of the 1 series. It is big enough for a push chair, but not a lot else. The space is concompromised because of the rear wheel drive. I need to check, but the a3 boot should be bigger.

PinkFondantFancy · 12/05/2011 21:38

Fab news on the scans today ladies!

Hope everything's ok hairy, am thinking of you.

collie hospital has a no tell policy so it will have to remain team yellow!

blackkat I had the exact same problem-didn't get booking in until 11.5 weeks and then it transpired she forgot to book me for a 12 week scan so went private.... It is very frustrating. The good thing about private scans is that they take their time so you'll get a good look at your baby which is lovely.

Hope everyone's doing ok this evening xx

wombatinwaiting · 13/05/2011 07:25

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone - can't tell you how much better I am feeling about this pg now and actually (I think) enjoying it!

Ninu - great news on your scan too and an accelerated date as well! Good luck talking to your boss on Monday.

Blackkat - I would second pink about the good points of a private scan. I don't have a choice here, everything is private, but the guy spent ages with us yesterday and showed us so many different things and we have the whole DVD and 3 still pictures to take away and a very detailed report. Worth every dirham / penny IMO. I didn't realise until I got there that it's called the Fetal Medicine Centre - I just assumed it was coincidence that it's the same name as the one that everyone raves about in London but they are in fact connected!

Harassed and hairy - hope you're both hanging in there and feeling a wee bit better.

Best of luck to all scannees today - it's been a busy couple of days!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 13/05/2011 07:38

hairy hope you're ok x

ninu hurray for good scan and jumping so far ahead!!! Grin

Best of luck to scooby Hadrian tigger and anyone else with appointments or scans today!

PinkFondantFancy · 13/05/2011 08:07

Good luck to all the scan dudes today!! Let us know how you get on.

I've put a tray of Belgian waffles and pain au chocolat on the side Grin

hairylights · 13/05/2011 08:28

Still freaking out. Pretty sure it's not a goer as symptoms gone. :(

DoubleDiffedDachs · 13/05/2011 08:40

hairy thinking of you and fingers crossed it's not what you think.

Good luck to all with scans.

nina Yay for the loss of a week's mentalling! Grin

DoubleDiffedDachs · 13/05/2011 08:50
harassedinherpants · 13/05/2011 09:17

It's the only thing I can stomache in the mornings.

Hairy I'm hoping you're wrong lovely, fingers x'd.

Nina fab scan news!!! Grin

I'm still fretting, despite having really strong symptoms. The toilet bowl is my best bud in the mornings. I just can't get my mmc out of my head even though it is totally different this time. I know it's because the baby measured 7 weeks and I'm now 7+2. I'm going to phone the epu after work and beg for another scan next week. I don't want to go booking app next week if the baby has already died, which is what happened with mmc Sad. Sorry for another miserable post!

Daisybell1 · 13/05/2011 09:21

Congrats for all the good news from scanners.

FX for Hairy too, really really hoping its not what you're fearing - lots of virtual hand holding available here.

Had counselling session yesterday - didn't like woman on other end, she was very excitable which put me off and I felt a bit trivialised. Not sure how to progess this....
