Newly pregnant after miscarriage? Here is a nice place to hang out and swap symptoms and worries until you are brave enough to sign up to the grads thread.

Sorry you're going through this stressy time kat - are you definitely too early to go to EPU? I can appreciate your anxiety as it seems to be like last time. As I'm sure you know, spotting of all sorts seems to be v common in a lot of pregnancies. Is there anything you can do to distract yourself over the weekend? Sending hugs x

wombatinwaiting · 09/04/2011 13:45

Mean to add that spotting of all sorts seems to be v common in a lot of pregnancies, but is definitely not necessarily mean what you fear. x

morning all!

I am having home made hot cross buns for breakfast! YummyGrin
Hope you all have a lovely day, hugs to Katherine Cep banana knitter and anyone else who needs one

Velvetcu · 09/04/2011 15:52

knitter sorry you have to wait over the weekend but fx that its good news.

banana sorry you are stressing, it's so annoying not knowing whats going on in there isnt it? I thought someone (Pink??) was meant to be making a baby window for us all!

kat try not to stress, I am a goo monster and it really has been every colour possible. I have been keeping a diary of my pink/brown spotting and I seem to get it when I would have ovulated and when my period should have been, so roughly every 2 weeks.

mummya send me some of them hot cross buns!! I had to get up at 7.30 this morning because I was sooooo hungry I thought I was gonna throw up!

So who has the fish ready for me?? Is it possible that I can feel bean doing backflips at 11+1? I know it's really early and you arent supposed to feel anything yet in first pg but when I was laying in bed this morning it felt like someone was running their finger around inside my uterus. I haven't felt anything like this before so I don't think it's wind. Or is it just another oddity that I will now worry about?

I am Grin because I have washed and dried 3 loads on the washing line today, how sad!

nickstermum · 09/04/2011 18:41

Love it when you have days like that velvet... washing i mean... soooo productive... and smelling so nice too :) Tis poss to feel something early... i had lots of cheese grater sensations early on, but nothing too defined. Hope so :)

Kat and all the others who are stressing... bleeding/spotting/brown goo seems to be the norm on this thread... with a good outcome, hopefully for you also :)

Teacake you are right, Wombat, go for outside space.. every day of the week :) (she says!!) Great for good weather...tho we dont get much of that... i just fling open the back doors and off they go.. romping round, paddling pool, garden cars, slide, digging in the stones and sand pit and generally causing havoc... gardens are high maintenance but are worth every penny :) Mine is a shit tip for the time being, cos i am too lazy fat to do anything with it... but still fab for the son and his cousins.

Knitter, so sorry you have had the delayed result,... hope so for good news on monday xxx thinking of you

Having a lovely weekend shifting DH down south.. flat is fab, weather is wonderful and DS is being great xxxx

katherine2008 · 09/04/2011 19:06

Good news, bean still there and growing. it is clearly going to be trouble! Hugs to knitter, Kat and all my fellow stress monkeys.

tunnocks try not to mental too much tonight, good luck for tomorrow

katherine2008 · 09/04/2011 22:56

good luck tunnocks everything crossed for you xxx

tiggersreturn · 09/04/2011 23:32

Knitter sorry to hear you're still waiting.

Dachs - dh still thinks I only look a bit fat in clothes but pg when he sees me minus them. They are getting rather uncomfortable though.

I'm not sure why but I currently have it fixed in my head that I'm going to find out some really awful news at the 20 week scan in just under 5 weeks time. I don't know why and I can't get it out of my head. If anyone has a remedy for how to move off it I'd love to hear it.

Am having a bit of a crap evening as have spent half of it going hypo and am now scared I'll have a coma in the middle of the night.

wombatinwaiting · 10/04/2011 04:14

Great news katherine.

Wishing tunnocks all the best for today's scan.

Sending reassuring wishes to tiggers - hope you had a restful night's sleep in the end.....

Anyone also having issues with being cold as well as hot? I really seem to be having temperature extremes right now..... wondered if I might have a cold brewing but I don't think so and it's been going on for a good couple of weeks.... Hmm

teacake good luck with your scan. Hopefully the cramps are just your bean wanting some attention (it is the naughty bean on the thread after all). Maybe try to distract yourself between now and 11:15.

Collie2 · 10/04/2011 08:11

tunnocks good luck for the scan today. Hop bean is fine and just being naughty self.

ninu I don't really know if I've put weight on as the only place I weigh myself is the gym and I've not been there in a LONG time! But I must be piling on the pounds as hardly anything fits me, not even my knickers Blush I know I swelled alot the first time around, and that I went down quickly after The mc so a lot of it must be bloating, but I reckon I kept at least 30% of the podge (if I can put a figure on it) which I never did lose! Sad

sorry to hear so many others are worrying and mentaling. Big (hugs) to you all.

As well/instead of cramps has anyone suffered with period pain feelings? I've had them since Friday Sad and can't help but get worried about them. No blood, though- which is only thing keeping me from totally freaking out.

Had lovely day yesterday by beach and then BBQ. I just love the sunshine. Smile chores today though. Dh re-painting decking and I'm tasked with tidying up out plant pots and then this cest pit house! Joys!

Sorry to here everyone

Collie2 · 10/04/2011 08:12

Opps ignore the bit at the bottom, thought I'd deleted that!

Collie2 · 10/04/2011 08:13

Great news karherine of great scan xx hoping for more of that today!

nickstermum · 10/04/2011 08:29

Teacake, hugs and good luck xxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 10/04/2011 08:31

Fab news Katherine Grin

tunnocks best of luck for today, try not to worry too much about the spotting and cramps, you know this baby always likes to throw in something before the scans, so fx today's scan goes as well as the others have. Will be thinking of you x

knitter cannot imagine how you are coping with this weekend, so sorry you're having this wait...hopefully as ninu says no news is good news and they would tend to get back to you quicker if there was anything that needed decisions to be made. Hope you're managing to distract yourself a bit and get some sleep - will be thinking of you tomorrow x

tigger hope you're feeling better this morning? Sorry you're so stressed about the 20 week scan, just try to remember that the scans so far haven't shown any problems and there's no reason why that should change.

mattsmama · 10/04/2011 08:56

tunnocks good luck with your scan. Hope the time flies to 11.15 and little tunnock is fine and you can celebrate with your mum and dad.

*Collie I also have a lot of bloating - my body really seems to hang on to water as soon as I get pregnant and I too reckon I kept about 30% of the podge from my last M/C - know exactly what you mean. Bought a pack of BIG knickers only yesterday from M & S (5 pairs for 4 quid) and they are soooooooooo COMFY (but real passion killers) but I am certainly not bothered about that anyway at the moment so what the heck!. Also I have had a lot of period pains and it is perfectly normal so try not to worry about that (says me!)

Katherine Great scan news! Grin

Knitter Keep thinking about you - hope you have had a nice weekend (without too much worrying) and that you get good news on Monday. xx

Tigger hope your feeling a little less stressed now xx After each scan we will worry about the next one - I think it is par for the course. Don't think I will relax 100% at all during this pregnancy and until I have a baby in my arms. I

Has anyone heard anything about delilahbelle. She seems to have disappeared and I keep thinking about her and hoping she is okay.

Also has anyone had problems with a stuffy nose? I seem to be permanently "bunged" up. Thought it was a cold at first but I've had it for three weeks now? It's getting a bit annoying now - one minute nose is running then stuffy and then sorry (tmi) snotty. I've tried steaming and all the usual stuff but it's just persisting all the time.

I have another scan date - Wednesday 13th April at 1.20. It goes without saying that I am NERVOUS! At the last scan the MW who was there said this is the important one (9 weeks) and that made me feel a whole lot more bloody nervous! She said a lot of people think the 12 week scan is important but it is this one that is - anyone else heard that? Personally I think they are all as important and just as nervewracking as well!!

Hello and big waves to everyone else - hope your not all stressing too much (as if!) Smile

kat2504 · 10/04/2011 10:27

Thanks everyone for the reassurance. The goo is back to white now, even tried shagging and no more spotting today thankfully. Today am freaking cos boobs seem less sore! Aargh! I wish I could fast forward through the next six weeks!

Good luck for your scan teacake hope everything is still good.

knitter thinking of you during what must seem like a very long wait. Good luck for tomorrow.

cep · 10/04/2011 10:27

morning all,

tunnocks fx for your scan today.

collie i think it's only unbareable pains they worry about, especially if no blood.

katherine yay for good scan news.

matts i keep getting a stuffy nose. i've not heard the 9 weeks thing. i asked about the placenta kicking in when i went last time and got told that was 12 weeks, but looked online and everything says around the 10 week mark, so could be something to do with that.

hope everyone has a good day.

Ninunina · 10/04/2011 10:31

Was just reading through the leaflet that the nhs sends about tests. It mentions that blood tests for sickle cell needs to ideally be done before 10 weeks but my booking in appointment is not till 11 weeks. I'm from the Mediterranean, so at an increased risk of being a carrier, do you think I should try bring the appointment forward, or can the test be done at 11 weeks?
