Newly pregnant after miscarriage? Here is a nice place to hang out and swap symptoms and worries until you are brave enough to sign up to the grads thread.

Here is a link to the old thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1165866-Freak-out-room-for-those-newly-updiffed-after-MC-to-hold-hands-and-support-each-other-Part-III/AllOnOnePage#24507574

Thinking of you banana - fingers crossed for good news this time

daisy hope sheepdog try-out goes well today!

orange (I think!) stop googling!! When I went for my 12 week scan the dr pressed really hard and kept hitting the probe on my stomach to try and encourage the baby to turn around!!! She assured me it couldn't possibly harm it because of the fluid Hmm

collie I've had some cramps that almost double me over. Then I get diahorria (sorry, spelling)..... Have you seen mummya 's link that shows what happens to your innards when you're pg? When you see that suddenly lots of things make sense!! Also had some dire farting over here.

owly I lurk on grads sometimes but they are all mega diffed and it scares me. Can't really explain why but feels too overwhelming to be at my stage surrounded by 30 weekers. Hopefully I will get over it soon, especially as I want to ask some stuff about independent midwives-my one token area where I've started to pull my finger out and make some plans.

PinkFondantFancy · 02/04/2011 08:46

Also mummya really sorry to hear you're so ill-my heart goes out to you, I can't imagine feeling like that. Really hope it passes soon and glad DH had been able to come home to look after you.

Collie2 · 02/04/2011 08:46

(((hugs))) for banana i am sorry sweet, it must be very scary i know. Fx you are wrong and all is fine, will be lurking for new from you later. Good luck xx

Blackkat · 02/04/2011 08:50

Oh, banana thinking of you, and echoing what Ninu said. XX

Daisybell1 · 02/04/2011 08:50

Morning all extremely sleepy here this morning as bloody darling poorly sheepdog kept us up all night barking and wanting to play Angry

Just popped on to slap Orange with a rainbow trout. At my NT scan the sonographer needed to get a look at the little sod treasure's face, and pressed in really really hard to one side, and I mean right into my flab Blush

It was all fine, and when the MW tried the same trick with the doppler last week, LO had obviously learnt what was coming and gave the doppler a massive great kick Grin

Consider yourself haddock'd my dear!

Hugs to banana everything crossed for you today.

Daisybell1 · 02/04/2011 08:51

PS, thanks to all re the dog, unfortunately OH is less keen on the rescue one Sad

I need to work my influence on him

Collie2 · 02/04/2011 08:52

pink thanks thats is good to know - although not good you had such pain. Funnily enough i had (tmi alert) a really lose stool this morning, with a terrible stench Blush Been googling this morning and wondering if it could be the progesterone as read that it can lead to food sitting in the stomach longer causing wind and indigestion which i have def had.

Blackkat · 02/04/2011 08:56

Collie know what you mean about stench, DH is joking half serious when he talks about bringing his breathing apparatus home from work, Blush

Daisy good luck with the influencing Grin

PinkFondantFancy · 02/04/2011 09:41

oh yeah collie SERIOUS stench-it is MINGING!! luckily DH makes plenty of smell himself so I've got years worth to take revenge on!! Grin

kat2504 · 02/04/2011 09:41

Gosh I've missed a lot last night!
Fingers crossed for you banana, hoping it all turns out ok.
Collie you are right about the progesterone and the stomach. I always get constipated just before period and mow I am diffed I am a non stop burping machine! Lovely!! The hormones slow everything down. Still no other symptoms like ms, but thinking that may be a good thing. Boobs tender but not that swollen. Very tired still but slept badly due to back pain

Hope you all have a lovely weekend :)

Emoo · 02/04/2011 10:11

Aaargh cannot possibly catch up! Sending vibes for good news from banana and mumtum and would like to reiterate that brown cm is not necessarily bad news and I didn't get a bfp until 16 dpo! So good luck both!

Other than that, my trumps still smell of roses Grin and I still don't have my nt blood results Sad. Tried phoning on Friday but they wouldn't or couldn't tell me, not sure which.

Ninunina · 02/04/2011 10:25

Question, have any of you signed up for nct classes? My gp advised getting my name down quickly, but I'm concerned about a few things.

  1. i don't want to tempt fate.
  2. The dates are really late in the pregnancy, and I probably would have moved back home by then.
  3. I was shocked at the price. Is it really 270 pounds!
Velvetcu · 02/04/2011 10:53

Morning all

banana I hope things are all ok with you. I had loads of brown goo up til 8 weeks when it (fx) seems to have stopped.

collie I also had serious cramps Thursday night - I actually thought I was giving birth! Then I got up, had a walk around and a good fart and all the pain disappeared :)

I'm having a bit of a wibble day for no other reason than I cant do up my belt. Which means something is happening. But what if bean has died again and all this is for nothing again. :( I hate this so much.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 02/04/2011 11:06

banana keeping fx for you, it must be terrifying when it's so similar to last time but remember brown cm is v common in early pg - I've had plenty this time (actually I've had it in every pg) and it doesn't necessarily mean anything's wrong. Hope the visit to epu goes well.

velvet sorry you're having a wibble today, not being able to do up belt is good and normal though, keep telling yourself that.

I have also lurked on grads but there's no one on there under about 16 weeks and I'm only 6 so think I would be way out of my depth!! Maybe I'll feel differently once I've had one good scan, I don't know, but at the minute it seems so surreal.

banana87 · 02/04/2011 12:02

Hi lovely ladies,

Thanks for all the good wishes. EPU were great. I am 5+4 (same as my dates) and there is a gestational sac and yolk sac. It is too early to tell anything else but she said everything she saw was in line with what she expected to see. A quick google says 5+4 is too early to tell anything. She noted that I have a small subchoronic (?) hematoma, which said is perfectly normal (I do not believe her). At least if I have more bleeding I will know what it is. Any experiences of hematomas?

Hils74 · 02/04/2011 12:58

welcome blackkat it's nice to see you!

congrats tunnocks and banana!! fx for mumtum

I've been lurking and it's taken me ages to catch up!

collie I had to come home from work early last Fri as was in abs agony with cramps, couldn't sit up so spent all aft lying on the sofa. Went to the toilet and the pain went straight away :) so it does sound like wind & constipation!!

I had my booking in app with the mw on Thurs, she's taken my LMP date as the mc so 02/02/11 and has worked out my EDD as 11/11/11!!!! She's not sure if I'll get an early dating scan so got to wait for the hosp to send me a date, might just get a 12 wk app :(

But I have found a place in Colchester that will do private scans so may book one if it is not too expensive. OH wasn't v keen, said what do you want one of those for??!! How about not worrying for the next 4 wks that there is no bean anymore!! Grrr Angry

Hi to all, too many to name check!! Grin

MummyAbroad · 02/04/2011 13:40

Hi all,

banana glad that the EPU did a good job. There was a thread about hematomas a little while ago, try doing a search. I remember that size relative to the baby is pretty important, as baby grows and gets bigger than the hematoma (blood clot) the danger gets less and less. For peace of mind you might want another scan later to see what has changed, hopefully the hemotamoa will just shrink away and get reabsorbed by the body.

collie take a look at this.

By the way I have even more farts this time round than I did with DS, I am wondering if my innards ever popped back into place after the birth? Grin

I spent the entire day in bed yesterday and went to sleep at about 7.30pm and feel MUCH better. DS is at granny's and DH is working this weekend so I have the house to myself to just lounge in and REST. Heaven. Smile

cep · 02/04/2011 17:18

evening all,

banana so glad the epu went well. Grin

mumtum hope you're ok.

i've not had as much wind as i did with ds, but have had a few smelly trips to the loo. Blush

Collie2 · 02/04/2011 17:25

Thanks everyone, I am Grin at all your farting and stinking stories. Certainly does sound like that was what my scary episode was down to last night. I only chicken and salad so god knows what I'll be like after a curry! Can't believe it's so common! Still Grin at velvets good old fart!

Ninu I remember that the nct classes were roughly that expensive, as I looked b4 my last mc. Everything I read on blogs said book early and there were lots of examples of couples unable to get anything with the nsh or nct. But when i raised the ante natel classes with my mw at my last booking in apt she just didn't want to talk abt them, saying it was too early. I was a bit put out and was very close to booking the nct ones, just forgot. In the end I was glad I didn't (obv as mc), the thought of having to cancel is so sad.
I think it depends on your area but most nhs classes are in the day, and I wanted something dh and I could do together.

banana great news from you. So glad dates are spot on! Hope the other thing is nothing to worry about.

hils by birthday is the day after 12/11 [smile ]

mummya thanks for the link. I did see that. It's amazing. There is so much going on in there, I should remember that. I shared it with dh and he was facinated. Glad you had much needed rest yesterday, and have house to self today. Hope you're feeling better.

I'm ok. Aim of today was to search old reclaimation yards for old victoria floor boards for bathroom. Disater. After going back and forth to the house serveral times finally headed off to place about 40mins away. Get there. It's a private farm house. Re-check details and that's the 'office' base and viewing of stock is by appointment only. Then realise that 2nd yard is in hull 3 hrs away..... Is it to early to blame Brian? So second half of day has consisted of me snoozing on sofa Grin feeling better after rest though. Also, booby's are also getting senstive as well as big and I am drinkning gallons of water so feeling reassured of emergence of some symptoms (yay)

Have lovely night all xxx

IreneHeron · 02/04/2011 17:40

Banana glad the EPU went well. Hope you can relax a bit more now.

Ninunia I've not signed up for NCT classes. Don't think I'll do the NCT ones this time, too expensive, I'll probably do the ones at the hospital. Last time the NCT ones were a total life saver. My group were fantastic and I've made lots of really good friends from it, sadly they're all still in London and I'm now in Scotland but two families are coming to stay at easter. I could do with meeting some new friends though.

I've had a busy weekend. Went to the races at Musselburgh yesterday, luckily DH and I came home with more money than we went with. Today I've had a lazy day. Had the mother of all headaches after a bad sleep last night so DH took DS to BIL's and I've had a sleep and a bath. A dress I ordered online was delivered this afternoon too so I'm wearing that and feeling nice, even though it will only fit me for about 5 minutes if this pg goes to plan.

Two weeks til scan, I need an Olympic style clock to count down the minutes. I'm trying a zen like calm. I've not bled or anything, sickness is going off but still have weird food issues. I'm suppressing panic attacks for a MMC being revealed at the scan. Every change in symptoms gets me worried that bean has died. Can't wait relax a bit after the scan.

Two scary things happening here. After a winter of both DH and I being unemployed and trying to set up our new life and businesses we're beginning to get moving. My first ad is in the glossy local mag, hopefully someone will want a garden designer. We've also listed ourselves as a B&B. At least hopefully if we have guests in the summer I'll be able to cook breakfast without feeling sick.

Waves to everyone. Sorry not much name checking going on here.

KnitterNotTwitter · 02/04/2011 21:18

hey folks

usual weekend mayhem here - hence no posting...

Currently I'm trying to pretend that I didn't hear the ocado man come nor can I hear DH putting stuff away in teh kitchen!

some of the itching I had when pg with DS has come back - tops of thighs and ankles are so bad... Lots of baths for me I think...

Also on the bowels front I'm very constipated - must buy prunes!!

Bump seems fine - just trying not to think about it until Tuesday....
