evil red tide of doom! Grin

Daiso · 05/03/2011 17:16

Hey all.

So have had some brown discharge yesterday but only got a smiley fact on the digital sticks after POOTing on Mon afternoon, so not sure if implantation has even begun yet! Also getting some brown discharge today with a slight red tinge but only when I wiped (soooo sorry if TMI) so no idea what's going on.

Would love to be leading a positive 2WW but signs aren't great already as my body seems to be a bit weird.

AF due 16th March, THINK I OV on Tues as like I say, got smiley on Mon. SWI on Sun and Tues.

Hmmmmm.......

spidookly · 05/03/2011 17:18

Ahhh, thanks. I had got as far as Evil Red, but couldn't figure out TD :o

So nice to see there are few others on here who are 35/ 35+ and TTC #1.
There's no way I was ever ready to try earlier than this. It's just happened that now the time is right...and I happen to be knocking on a bit!
I'm just worried it will take a while to happen - like all of us, I'm really gearing myself up for this Christmas baby Smile

LivinInTheMoment · 05/03/2011 18:33

Hi everyone, I'll take a seat on the December bus too!

/waves to all

We are ttc1 since start of February. I'm not sure on the lingo yet of cycles or cd's yet, but I guess I'll pick it up while hanging around here ;)

Nice to meet you all!

Iggly · 05/03/2011 19:57

Hi ladies! I know a few mums who conceived mid 30s so fingers crossed for you guys.

I wondered does anyone know about alcohol and TTC? how much is too much?

I've just checked and I'm on CD11. Wasn't going to look but couldn't resist... Which means it'll be SWI soon instead of plain old nookie Grin the pressure Grin

Oceynorm · 05/03/2011 19:59

welcome livin and good luck!!

No much is too much.

Well, OK some much is too much, but ttc doesn't change anything in that regard.

If it helps get you in the mood, it's arguably a benefit.

Stupid question, is the first day if your tide of doom day 0, or day 1?

weimy · 05/03/2011 20:39

Day 1 I think.

MrsMcJnr · 05/03/2011 21:22

Hello can I join you? Am trying for DC3 but am still BFing DC2 (DD 21m) I´m down to one feed a day now and am hoping to drop that shortly as I really think that is holding up ovulation. I´m only on cycle 3 since she was born, CD2. I also have a DS who is 3yrs1m and didn´t even have an AF between him and DD so this is unchartered ground for me! Looking forward to getting to know you!

spidookly · 05/03/2011 21:40

Hi Mrs - I'm also bfing dc2 (13 months). Recently cut down to 2 feeds a day. I think I was down to 2 feeds per day when DD2 was conceived, so may be that I need to get it down to that level.

Nice to have you aboard. We seem to be mostly first timers and third timers for some reason :)

thanks weimy, that makes sense. Day 0 would be weird really.

MrsMcJnr · 05/03/2011 21:40

day 1

spidookly · 05/03/2011 21:41

Oops sorry, not sure how that happened.

MrsMcJnr · 05/03/2011 21:43

Thanks :) I got pg with DD the week after DS refused to be BF anymore (he was only 8m) but DD is also a terrible sleeper so I think I am physically exhausted as well as BFing so maybe my body just isn´t ready yet!

belindarose · 05/03/2011 22:02

I'm also bfing 18 mo DD, two or three feeds a day. Don't want to have to stop, but will try a few months and see if things happen. If not, will have to think about stopping. Very, very painful boobs at the beginning of last pregnancy though, so if that happens again I'll have to stop feeding!

spidookly · 06/03/2011 01:44

belinda

ime my breasts didn't really "get pregnant" second time around. It was like they already knew what they were doing and didn't need to change again.

So no tenderness to start, no leaking colostrum towards the end, and best of all no giant hot boulders when my milk came in. Also supply settled more quickly so scant use of breast pads, easier to
miss feeds without it being a disaster etc.

Hopefully you will be fine to keep feeding if you want to :)

belindarose · 06/03/2011 07:53

That all sounds very encouraging, spidookly! Thanks.

orangehead · 06/03/2011 10:24

Welcome livin and MrsMcJnr.
Daiso - anymore bleeding?.Not really sure what it means, but I wouldnt worry too much. With two of my pregnancies I started bleeding when period was due, the fist one was ttc so was really upset that I wasnt preg but then it stopped so did a test and got bfp. I know this isnt when your period due but bleeding doesnt always mean period or bad iykwim.
MrsMcJnr - a friend of mine got preg whilst still bf,I think doing 2 feeds a day. I got preg with ds2 2 weeks after stopped bf. So they is hope, good luck.
Yes tide of doom is day 1

pink13 · 06/03/2011 17:57

Hi. First time on here, so am not sure of all the language yet but we are TTC for our first. Hello to all of you! :)

belindarose · 06/03/2011 18:14

Hi pink. Yes, the language is definitely something to get used to! I didn't use this forum last time I was ttc, but discovered mumsnet when I was pregnant. There's an acronyms list somewhere I think. Good luck.

Thinking11 · 06/03/2011 20:04

Hi all do you mind if I hop on and take a seat on the December bus now that I have come to terms with the fact that I have been booted off the November bus.

Im TTC using donor insemination. I have just arranged dates for this month and I will be inseminating on 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th.

Fingers crossed that this will be my month

TTC #1 cycle 3 UCL 25 CD 4 AF due 27th

Promises I am making to myself this month:

I promise not to test intil 2days before AF is due
I promise not to do more than 1 test a day
I promise not to symptom spot everyday following imsemination
I promise not to google symptoms everynight
I promise not to get upset if AF arrives

weimy · 06/03/2011 20:10
