MrsMcJnr · 11/03/2011 21:23

Thanks UCL 28 days

peapop · 11/03/2011 21:32

MrsMcJnr hope you don't mind me asking but what's it like having a December Birthday?
I know as long as I have a happy healthy baby all will be fine whether he/she is born in Dec, Jan, Feb etc but do worry, did you ever feel like you missed out? My DP is a Jan Birthday and he has said his sometimes got 'lumped together' with Christmas! All Birthdays in my family fall March-September so have zero experience of this... so far!

MrsMcJnr · 11/03/2011 21:42

I´m lucky as lots of people in my family (and lots of my friends too) have December birthdays so we make a point of spoiling each other. It isn´t ideal but then again most months have some draw back like school holidays etc etc. My DD is 10 June which is probably a pretty perfect birthday but I guess they are all what you make them! Smile

spidookly · 11/03/2011 21:59

I have a July birthday and I hated it as a kid because it was always summer holidays and so I never got to have the whole class singing Happy Birthday for me.

There's no way of knowing what children are going to be pissed off about :o

But you can be sure it will be your fault!

"I guess they are all what you make them!" Me and DP absolutely love Christmas so I'm hoping a December baby would be the icing on the cake but that's great advice to remember MrsMcJnr thank you. Smile

peapop · 11/03/2011 22:03

That's true Spidookly I am a twin so obv have to share mine- lovely now but hated it as a child -and at beginning of September so usually started new school term on my Birthday Angry ha ha!

InnocentRedhead · 11/03/2011 22:07

Hi all!

Well i am just hedging my bets for this bus now - fourth bus i have joined. But your guess is as good as anybodies as to what my body is doing.

I was due on AF on the 4/3 (numerous PG tests and 7 days late, still no AF or BFP!) it's killing me tbh - sod the 2ww try the 3WW!!!

I dont really have any statistics i suppose but i really need some hand holding tbh because this is hard. December baby would be lovely though :) so i thought i would check into your lovely company and wish you all the best of luck!

peapop · 11/03/2011 22:26

Welcome InnocentRedHead Sorry to hear 3WW!!

Lovely friendly bunch of ladies on here, fx this bus will bring you luck and that BFP!

sevendwarves · 11/03/2011 22:30

Hi again Innocent, this is my fourth (and hopefully last) bus too. I hope you get your BFP or at least AF soon.

MrsMsJnr my DS's birthday is June 14th.

InnocentRedhead · 11/03/2011 22:49

fingers crossed eh ladies! kind of diheartening especially with this wait... I would be happy with either (well happier with BFP) just so i know what is going on with my body

spidookly · 12/03/2011 04:59

Oh Innocent, that is shit :(

It's TTC limbo - you don't know what to do because you don't know what's going on.

How frustrating!

A tentative welcome to this bus :)

I hope things become clear over the next few days. And I really hope we get to unceremoniously kick you off this bus as a November interloper :o

Poor thing :(

MrsSnaplegs · 12/03/2011 05:22

Sorry to butt in ladies but just here to wish you all the best this month! Up feeding ds and realized he was conceived 12 months ago today! It was my birthday!! So good luck for all ttc this month!

spidookly · 12/03/2011 07:41

Aw thanks MrsSnap, so nice of you to drop by :)

congratuations on the arrival of your DS!

Tanif · 12/03/2011 10:32

Re: the December birthdays. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. DP was born on christmas eve and tbh he doesn't dislike his birthday, but it's made him a bit 'meh' about christmas... Well... Until I forced him to enjoy it, like the christmas fiend that I am. His mum was very popular with the other mums in her area though as she always threw a birthday party for him on christmas eve and got all of their kids out of the way for a few hours! Personally, I think I got lucky, my birthday is in August so I was guaranteed the day off school/college/uni. It was a bit of a shock when I got to work and realised no one cared that it was my birthday!

orangehead · 12/03/2011 11:52

Welcome innocent, thats a bit crap. Have you been that late before r are you usually very regular?
Congratulations Mrssnap on arrival of your ds.

PopsyWind · 12/03/2011 14:13

Am not sure if I can join this bus or not! DH got back from London yesterday and on his way to USA today. Am CD15 but cycle varies 28-32 days so not sure if there's a slim chance or not.

Tis most annoying having a DH that works away. Think I will have to start proper charting so I know for sure whether there's a chance each mnth - no point obsessing about symptoms when I shouldn't be (though I probably will anyway)!!

Good luck everyone!

spidookly · 12/03/2011 14:19

Yes, that must be frustrating all right having to just take the nights you're given.

I would say SWI on CD 14 and 15 is probably close to the best you could do if you were only given two days in the whole month.

MickyLee · 12/03/2011 14:25

popsy What a pain in the arse!

Wonder is it is possible to freeze sperm Grin

PopsyWind · 12/03/2011 14:42

Gah spidookly!!! You were supposed to agree there's not much chance this mnth so I could go about my merry business!!! Last 2 cycles have been 32d and I think ov day has been 18 or 19.

Grin
BlueCrane · 12/03/2011 21:23

Evening all! Sorry to see a few more familiar faces form previous buses...but welcome to this festive bus! Smile

My brains a bit Confused as been studying all day but now totally shattered! Had a good chat with DM this morning though about the whole TTC thing...wasn't going to tell her but she and my Grandma both took a phenomenally long time TTCing their first and I felt that I needed to know why...they both had their tubes checked apparently but all was fine. DM thought her problem was predominantly stress with work and as soon as she handed her notice in she got her BFP! Hmm handing notice in might be a nice thought and almost certainly would help with stress levels in TTC but would not pay the mortgage unfortunately!! Bizarre fact though that Grandma was 32 when she had DM and DM was 32 when she had me! I'll be 31 in the summer so hopefully I won't have to wait another year!!

On a different note my CB Digi Ov pee sticks arrived this morning...they say to pee in the morning but I've read it's best in the afternoon...what do people think?

WaitingforStork · 12/03/2011 21:26

Been very quiet on here this evening - hopefully you're all busy doing something more productive with your time Wink

CD8 here so nothing to report here but busy week coming up next week! Quite enjoy this relaxed bit actually can dtd when you feel like it and not stress about it. Trying not to stress in general but we both want a baby so much. Only our second cycle of trying but I'm very impatient (realise I might have to learn to be though).

Any news from anyone else?

caramelgirl · 12/03/2011 21:49

Hullo, would like to join too please! Was lurking for a while but ERTD appearing today means that I'm now really hoping for a Christmas baby. Interesting that others also considering impact of December birthday.
My DD was born in September as was I so was hoping #2 would be September '11 with a super neat two year gap. But it's not worked so far and would be v v grateful for any baby now and am regretting my smug over planning ways.
Popsy, I also feel your pain, DH was away last month and it was very very irritating, he's due to go to NY this month and I am trying to make him limit it to a two night dash- getting obsessed, me?.
I think with me it's been stress of ttc which has messed it up so am trying to relax (and swi an awful, unromantic, lot- hmmm can tell we've been together for a while).

Found the bottle of Agnus Castus which is meant to help short cycles improve and progesterone bump up so am on that for first half of my cycle and if that doesn't work think I'm doing hormone tests. Am 32 but my DM had menopause at 39 so if it's going downhill I want to grab any chance I have.
Anyway, nice to meet you all and hope you are doing something more exciting than watching husband watching Freddie Flintoff on TV and putting off photo album making again.

Welcome aboard caramel and popsy

DH thinks he's coming down with something. I'm only on CD7 though and don't normally ov until CD16 so at least I don't need to worry about pouncing on him just yet :o

cookiemonster100 · 12/03/2011 22:44

Tanif I am an Aug bank holiday baby and i found it a bit of a pain at school as people tended to be away for my birthday. However love it now as Dh b'day is the beg of Sept so we tend to go away and enjoy!
Bluecrane - Thanks for the vino & cake! !
I am now in my 2 ww Spidookly are you here too now? I hate this part. I have gotlots of nice things planned to keep me occupied, me hope!!
