The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (But it does work).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.
OV is ovulation - I'm allowed to forget what date I've OVd, feel free to join me on that one!

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

*

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Yup! Very exciting GrinGrin Thank you! Can't wait... I've been in such a good mood all weekend thinking about it... But last time we lost out on a house, I actually cried and we hadn't even viewed that one yet so I don't know how I'll handle not getting this one if it happens

I can already picture our life there... I know it's a bit silly!

crowette · 10/04/2011 23:40

Good luck with the house hunting babylann and caramel and congrats on the BFP too - yay!

We got the lock fixed yesterday in the end - after I went with OH to get the new one Hmm I also got some new games for my DS, as I got a gift card for Game after telling oH that I was bored of the games I had for it. Had a long pootle around the shops, was lovely after being stuck for two days.

No idea what my body is up to - thought I'd OV the other day, going by pains and boobage ache, but no significant temp rise til this morning, indicating that I OV'd yesterday? Ah well, if that's the case, I'm out of the running this cycle because we'd have missed our window. Am now on CD 19

OH has had the major horn the last couple of days, but we've not been able to do much about it as his daughter is staying all week and goes to bed late and had my girls last night. By the time we get to bed we're both too knackered - last night my daughter went to a club to see some live bands, and didn't get in til 1am! I had to be up for work at 6am this morning, but I waited up for her then went straight to bed, leaving OH up to chill and meditate. He came to bed at 3.30am, full of the horn and kept groping me. If I hadn't had to be up for work in 2 and half hours, I'd have taken him up on it Grin Don't know where he got it from, after not seeming interested in weeks. Must be Spring!!!

babylann · 11/04/2011 10:36

That's it then! Offer is down on the house!

The waiting begins Grin

caramelgirl · 11/04/2011 11:16

wow!! good luck babylann. And lucky you penguin with house being built for you. I am going to try to persuade DH that self-build is way to go. That way we can buy a not so pretty house, knock it down and make a perfect one

JosieSmith1 · 11/04/2011 13:45

Good luck Babylann!

I found out last night that a friend I knew in college died yesterday. She's been battling cancer on and off for 18 months and finally lost the fight yesterday Sad She was 25. Makes you appreciate your lot.

Caramel that house sounds fab Grin and yes menage is the word, just means a school to ride in really. I love looking at really expensive houses, marble staircases etc

BamBam21 · 11/04/2011 16:45

Good luck with the house babylann!Smile

So sorry to hear about your friend Josie. That's so sad, and so young too.Sad

Definitely sounds like spring has sproinged with your DH crow! Hopefully he'll be up for it a bit earlier tonight!!Grin

crowette · 11/04/2011 20:23

Josie sorry about your friend, that's awful Sad I've lost a couple of friends to cancer, both in their 30s, one with 3 children - it's really unfair.

Eeeek babylann exciting stuff!!

BamBam I got accosted when he came to bed at 2am Grin And he's still up for more!

CD 20 here for me, and apparently I OVd on CD17, may just have JSed in time the other day ... so on a delayed 2WW Hmm very certain I'll be here again next cycle!

Had a lovely day with DD2 today, just went shopping, but nice one on one time :)

NervousNelly · 11/04/2011 22:20

Evening viroids. Just popping in to say hi. Once again life is manic, we've had friends staying for 2 nights with their 2 boys; and then the in-laws have been here for 3 nights, with their dog. All very lovely, but a bit intense. That following on from when my mum stayed recently for nearly 2 weeks to help with my horse, and she's back on Thursday for a few nights. I am beginning to think we should just open up our spare room as a B&B - may as well make some cash Wink.

Josie so sorry to hear about your friend. 25 is indeed incredibly young :(

I'm not sure about your house-hunting technique Caramel - I think that may just depress me far too much. I'd look at every subsequent dull affordable house as "not as good as the one with the Pool" Grin.

Good work on the JSing crow. Not bad for an old bird Wink. I'm afraid we're still in a drought (see roll-call of house guests above!) but we are at a wedding on friday, staying in a hotel, so you never know. That said, ERTD is due by the weekend, so it may be off the cards. Bad timing but hey ho Hmm.

Anyway, the most important reason for posting is to see who is starting the new thread? We've only got a few posts left. I did this one, so it should be someone else's turn - Josie or Crow maybe, as old-timers?? Just remember that there is a post a bit further down the first page with an update to the grads - Baby2b was missing. I have lost count of the grads from this thread though. Ummmm:

Kateepie
Caramelgirl
Nickelbabyhatcher or whatever she wants to be known by :)

Who else?

babylann · 11/04/2011 22:41

Thank you for all the good luck! In the end, we wussed out and decided to go for a safer offer of about 3% below the asking price, if my maths add up correctly. They confirmed there has been one offer, which is lower than ours, I just hope they don't come back with a higher offer now and nobody else gets around to offering in the meantime. A public notice is going up on Thursday though, apparently, so even then we won't get a definite answer I guess. I can't imagine how disappointed I will be if we don't get this house. I've started pinning all my future plans on it!

caramel, our motives for moving also have a lot to do with DD. We live in a pretty dodgy part of a city right now, but the house we are aiming for is in a village just on the outskirts - the same street where I grew up! So I know I felt safe there, so much more safe than I feel here, and there is grass and trees and parks for her to play in. And the schools are a big selling point too. I still have the voices of my childhood reminding me that X school is terrible, people who go to Y school all come from a particularly rough part of the area, etc. But my schools were great and I want DD to have the same experience.

I also enjoy looking at houses I'd never be able to afford. Sometimes I pick an area at random on Rightmove and check out the most expensive house in that zone. They're always silly money like £4m, but you start picturing what you would do if you had that house, how you would decorate it, etc.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend Josie. In the past few months, 3 people we know have been diagnosed with cancer. One of them is 18 so I know exactly what you mean about it making you think and appreciate.

Sorry you don't think you've been successful this month, crowette.

Managed to get through to the doctors today, and they confirmed my medically approved BFN. The receptionist was quite rude though. "Was it a pregnancy test?" "Yes" "It's negative. Okay, bye." :(

I still have no ERTD, but I've started getting warning cramps again. I'm ignoring them though, as I had them two months ago and they came to nothing then, so I don't want to get my hopes up again. I do feel like I've just come out on the other side of a pretty nasty depression though so maybe if it was stress they should come back now. It's like the sunshine has lifted my spirits and made me see the positives in life again. It's only now I realise how miserable I have been for the past, well, 10 months since DD was born! I've got to get back into "living", I've wasted so much time moping and resenting how boring my life has become. I regret never going to mum and baby groups and making friends, because I've been so isolated and alone. So, first step - tomorrow I'm going to a mum and baby group for the first time since DD was born! Here's hoping it's good and doesn't put me off trying to do more things. Smile

Nelly, deemented got a BFP this month as well. I think nickel wants to be known by her original name, which I think was nickelbabe but I don't know for sure as she's changed it two or three times since I have met her, I think! Smile

babylann · 11/04/2011 22:41

I wrote an essay, sorry! (I do that a lot)

crowette · 12/04/2011 00:59

Haha ...I have to share this while it's still fresh in my mind - OH is totally back on board with TTC, so we're able to discuss it in detail without it scaring him. So, I was telling him about tell tale signs of ovulation, one being CM ... he physically baulked at the word mucous, said it made him feel sick, that his tummy was turning at the thought! Poor sensitive lamb! He told me to not to be surprised if it ever put him off going down there if I insist on using 'that word', and that he'd prefer to refer to it as 'fanny juice' Confused I couldn't stop laughing!
I know we all like our men to show their sensitive side, but he can take it to extremes! But I suppose that's one of the reasons I love him Grin

brightcopperkettles · 12/04/2011 01:53

BFP-wise there was also Panpipe and myself brightcopperkettles :)

KateeHasABunInHerOven · 12/04/2011 08:34

Tee hee crowette! How would he feel about pant snot? Ha Ha Grin

KateeHasABunInHerOven · 12/04/2011 08:39

Just heard that deemented had a miscarriage last night Sad x

babylann · 12/04/2011 08:47

Oh no :( that's so sad. I actually welled up when I read that

BamBam21 · 12/04/2011 08:51

So sad to hear about deemented.Sad I hope she has plenty of support in RL as well as on MN.

crowette · 12/04/2011 09:30

Oh no! So sorry about Demented's news :(

babylann · 12/04/2011 11:09

Ah crowette, sounds like your partner is going to be difficult when you get pregnant! I'm lucky, me and DP don't care about being completely disgusting in front of each other. He wanted to know every tiny little thing about pregnancy as I went along the journey with DD. When a little bit of my mucus plug came away when I was a few days away from due date, it was truly disgusting, but I saved it on a little tissue to show him! Grin And then a few days later, when the big bulk of it emerged, I invited him to see that too! But we're one of those couples who share the bathroom every evening, I have a bath while he has a poo, etc.

I'm glad neither of us is squeamish. The only things I have a problem with are his farts and the hrrraaccch noise he makes when he spits to clear his throat.

Still not heard about my house. A girl on Facebook said she was calling the estate agent to book a viewing for a house she loves. I freaked out thinking she was going to take mine! So I probed to find out where she is looking and it was the same area! I couldn't relax until I knew for definite that she wasn't aiming for my house Hmm Luckily, she eventually assured me that it wasn't the same one. Funny how possessive I've become over it already. Grin

JosieSmith1 · 12/04/2011 11:46

So sorry to hear about Deemented SadSad

Hope you hear about the house soon Babylann and Angry to the insensitive receptionist at the docs!

We?re planning a dirty weekend away in May, right when ov should be happening so fingers crossed. I haven?t written off this month but we can?t book the hol in time so next month will do instead. Mam bought us a deal at a country hotel, 2 nights b&b and it?s in the country but not too far away (cos you know what I?m like Grin) so I?m really looking forward to that. You know what they say about going on hols when TTC Wink

Can I start the new thread, as an old-timer Sad

deemented · 12/04/2011 11:51

Aw, thanks for the messages folks.

At the moment, my heads so far up my arse i'm struggling to see daylight. But i will be back. One thing we are certain of, is that our family is not yet complete.

And i'm telling you now folks - i do not want to see you all here when i return. I want you all to have got your BFP's and be off having babies. D'you hear me??

[smle]

JosieSmith1 · 12/04/2011 11:54

Hope you're ok Deemented (hugs)

deemented · 12/04/2011 11:57

I will be chuck, i will be Smile
