The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (But it does work).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.
OV is ovulation - I'm allowed to forget what date I've OVd, feel free to join me on that one!

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Will be nice to tell DP that it is not in my head real... He has a visitor today at work, so can't just ring him and tell him.

NervousNelly · 04/02/2011 13:22

Woweeee! A BFP already Grin. sticky thoughts coming your way < whispers I hope there will be more!>

Now I have a new thread rule- bigger posts, but less of them Wink. I have worked out, saddo that I am, that at this rate our shiny thread will last a mere 20 days. Bearing in mind I'm still in the clutches of ERTD, that's not enough time for me to get upduffed on my own thread. On a less selfish note, I think many of you are still early cycle too. :)

As you were.

OP posts:
kateepie2 · 04/02/2011 13:51

More like a LTP (little thin positive)... ha ha

Just managed to get DP and he is (cautiously) over the moon :)

Thank goodness its friday, there's nooooo way I'm going to be able to concentrate on getting any work done... might have to go and knit or something.

nelly hoping me getting upduffed will lead to chain reaction and more upduffing will occur as a result! Its more a relief at the moment that it is technically possible.. this will be first kiddo, and have been on the pill for more years than I haven't been on it, so wasn't sure how it would all pan out.

Now just gotta hope it sticks... have told DP I am putting my feet up for next few weeks! Grin

Whats the PC and non-nauseating version of bby dst?

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 04/02/2011 13:56

you can spread baby dust if you actually sprout wings and fly above us all! Grin

how about baby wine? Wine

Got2Dance · 04/02/2011 14:49

Yay to Katee - that is so exciting! We were in need of a good LTP!! Wine cheers to you!

Nelly - you made me laugh. I think we've been around a similar time scale - and my thread didn't see my upduffedness. But if we slow down, this one could see yours!!

dee - did you have triplets from your IVF then? Did they all "take" (I'm sorry, that might have been a really tactless thing to ask. ignore me). And then you've had a DD and a DS? Any more lurking under the stairs? You are a pro at this!! Out of interest, did you have IVF first and then the others naturally?

Cheeser sorry to see you go. I certainly remember you from the last thread and wondered how you were doing. All the best for house and job moves, etc.

deemented · 04/02/2011 15:23

G2D -Yes, DH and i had IVF, and we started out with a triplet pregnancy. Sadly we lost a baby at ten weeks, and then at 14 weeks my DS1 was diagnosed in utero with a renal condition which meant he was unlikely to survive after he was born, and if he did, then he'd need a kidney and lung transplant in his first year. My boys wre born at 28 weeks gestation, and DS1 lived for an hour and 42 mins. DS2 is now a very lively an vocal six year old Grin

DH and i had IVF to have them as he had very poor swimmers.

Having said that though, imagine my shock when i found out i was pregnant just over three years later, naturally. That turned out to be DD.

My DH sadly died when DD was a few weeks old, and six months later i met Manshape. We'll have been together two years next week. And DS3 is now 13 months old...

Gush away Wink

Nah, seriously. I have my shite days. Doesn't everyone? But you have to pick yourself up and carry on because you have to. There's no other option. It's just how it is.

I'm gushing too - dee that's lovely, parts sad, but also lovely. :)

kateepie2 · 04/02/2011 16:19

dee it just shows that you only need to have one or two good persistent swimmers! I admire your guts too x

Smiling at all the gushing going on, and I thought this was the no-nonsense hardcore thread, tee hee! Wink

deemented · 04/02/2011 16:21

Yeah, we're a right nest of hardcore viper biatches here, can't you tell? Grin

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 04/02/2011 16:22

can't help it - the man who collects my cardboard (okay, i know him from elsewhere - i know his wife, really) came in and said that she's just ofund out she's pregnant - they weren't even trying!

kateepie2 · 04/02/2011 16:25

Nickel grrr and Angry on your behalf at general propensity of acquaintances to get duffed at the seeming drop of a hat. Fortunately most of my friends have been there and done that, I am playing catch-up!

ILOVEFLOWERS · 04/02/2011 16:29

Does getting carried away and forgetting that saliva is a big no no for sperm qualify me for joining this thread? Blush

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 04/02/2011 16:35

"Does getting carried away and forgetting that saliva is a big no no for sperm"
WTF? what are you on about woman?

I'm sorry, but that new wine emoticon reminds me of a half full mooncup on a stand. I shall forever look at it and think of ERTD Grin

I think Flowers may have swallowed when perhaps she shouldn't Wink But welcome!

Thank you for your sweet welcomes. At the risk of more blushing, I mean my saliva was on him before we ... Apparently spit is a good a spermicide...

milanomum · 04/02/2011 17:39

Just popping in to say hello and offer a few of these Wine Wine Wine Wine
Hope you are all donning your shag-capes and giving it your best, lay-dees!
XX

ILOVEFLOWERS · 04/02/2011 17:40

Sorry. To clarify for deemented, I didn't actually swallow (not that I wouldn't have). The saliva involvement was before doing the deed, which was completed through intercourse...

deemented · 04/02/2011 17:44

Thanks for the blow-by-blow Wink

I've never heard of saliva being a spermicide tbh. Oh well. Not going to stop going down beforehand so may be here a while...

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 04/02/2011 19:24

Wow, that was descriptive flowers, I can't decide whether to Blush or Wink! Welcome to the thread, I like it in here, people are friendly Smile

Congrats to Katee, an excellent start to the new thread, just the inspiration we all need!

I'm trying to make this a long post at your request Nelly, so you get to follow the tradition... not sure I have anything else worth saying though... I'm PMSL watching a recording of sun, sea and suspicious parents... Every time they say their child wouldn't do something, their child does exactly that. Lol at helicopter parents... I wonder what sort of parent I will be to my imaginary baby
