  1. Lurking in baby names on a daily basis, desperate to post
  1. Checking the baby name statistics for both country and area
  1. Surfing Amazon to read reviews of pregnancy books- but not buying any
  1. Working out how pregnant I could be if I get pregnant this month at key events this year like weddings, holidays

5.Regularly checking the local nursery's website for information

Folicacid - you are stronger than me! Was all so adorable could not resist... bought way too much stuff!

jugglingjo - that is just how I imagine it being - thank you for your kind wishes. I hope everyone on the thread gets what they want Smile.

I LOVE this thread! Was feeling v down yesterday after BFN, which I soooo knew was going to be positive. But this has cheered me enormously. Thanks laydees!!

Not sure if this gets mentioned later on down the list but:

105: working out potential due date in relation to my sister's offspring and therefore relative ages, school years etc of cousins. Lordy!

xx

BabyMaking2011 · 15/02/2011 19:09

143232: trying o work out whether to get a 6 month or 12 month tx disk based on how far into my maternity leve i would be the nxt time round and thus how skint i may be...

JobCarHouseNoBaby · 15/02/2011 19:47

143233.. Secretly reading and making notes on the work's maternity policy, and trying to work out how long would get off for what money.

143234.. thinking that if Baby was born in tail end of summer 2012 it would be an good maternity leave spent watching Olympics on TV

alex25 · 16/02/2011 19:09

i love this! nice to know we're not crazy haha

Bumpsadaisie · 17/02/2011 15:13

Ohh JobCar!!

I got a BFP earlier this week and if this pregnancy works out I will be on mat leave for the Olympics!

You have made my day! Grin

Fairygodmother1 · 17/02/2011 20:25

Congrats Bumpsadaisie

apples82 · 18/02/2011 15:52

Well done Bumpsadaisie, I had a very similar thought when I got a BFP!!! Smile

JobCarHouseNoBaby · 19/02/2011 10:46

Congratulations Bumpsadaisie! Sadly don't think I'll be joining you but enjoy every minute of it!

Northernlurker · 19/02/2011 12:02

This thread is great. I am not ttc ever again but when I was waiting ttc dd3 I lived on the bugaboo website, lurked on here and knew exactly when my due date would be if I conceived on x date. I also got 'lost' in John Lewis quite a bit.

DreamingOfABump · 24/02/2011 20:25

just bought some maternity jeans on ebay because they were a bargain.
we're not even ttc for another 2 months. Blush

jugglingjo · 25/02/2011 10:51

Hi Dreaming - Are you sure about that ?!

I lived in my maternity jeans when expecting my two ( no, not twins !), and even afterwards Blush

  • I'm sure they'll come in very handy Wink
MrsL1983 · 26/02/2011 16:40

ha ha - i love this!
I pretty much do all of these...

But the funny (and maybe just a little sad) thing is that we are not even trying just yet!!!

Got a few things we need to do in April & May (hen do, bridesmaid among other things) so the Hubby wants to wait till all these things are over and done with before we start trying (in his head I will obviously catch on the first time after coming off my pill.. what with his super sperm!!)

PatientGriselda · 26/02/2011 18:45

A new low...

143235 - practising my post-birth-newly-blessed-with-motherhood-unaware-of-the-camera photo face.

I have actually just spent a full 15 minutes doing this.

DreamingOfABump · 28/02/2011 13:38

hahahahhaha at last post- that is awesomely borderline bonkers ;D

JobCarHouseNoBaby · 06/03/2011 20:52

143236 Dropping in babies and children into almost all conversations with parents/peers/friends/colleagues to see what their reaction is. It used to be "you're still young" but now its "well you have the house and the job sorted"

Just need to persuade DP to get down on one knee.... Grin

143237 Pricing up various newborn vest and babygrow sets to see which supermarket does best value for those early few weeks.. (so far Tesco looking best bet) Blush

DreamingOfABump · 07/03/2011 17:34

143238 mother in law has a bad case of the irrational ttc behaviour! Today she told me she has her friends knitting matinee jacket and booties for 'the baby'. btw we arent ttc yet, and we havent even mentioned that we're thinking about it. very Questionable!

HopeCalvary · 07/03/2011 21:20

Oh my gosh! To think i felt like a weirdo putting yet another pair of white kniclers this morning! Trying so hard not to give away obsessive nature to dh, yet i fail daily!

TBF1 · 10/03/2011 20:52

What are we up to? About a million!? How about not booking holidays to areas with malaria. Well, you don't want a tropical illness to complicate your (non-existant) pregnancy! Wink

troubledone · 12/04/2011 09:50

no.???? having EPAU's phone number stored in mobile

MrsCog · 28/04/2011 21:50

Me and DH have decided that next month is 'the month' to start trying, so have eaten pate, raw steak and blue cheese in abundance - just in case these are my last 2 weeks of being able to enjoy them!

Vix1980 · 30/04/2011 09:20

I feel sooo normal now and reading this whole thing has taken me over an hour to get through cos i stopped to laugh at nearly everything you have all said, can i add some though...

1 million ish: Driving for 45 mins to get to a gap your mum told you was closing down, just to buy some maternity clothes in the said closing down sale!

1 million and 1 ish: finding out the gap had already closed the week before so spending £45 on a baby blanket in mamas and papas (that ive had my eye on for a few months) on the way back to "cheer myself up" ??

Jebel · 18/05/2011 08:58

Oh I am so relieved to see this thread. Am on 2WW and going nuts.

TBF1 - I am exactly the same, have cancelled planned trip to Kenya!

1 million and 2ish standing sideways on with my tummy out this morning looking in the mirror to see what I'd look like with a bump.

Alisonjayjay · 11/08/2011 23:40

1 million and 3ish????? Making a wish list on Amazon titled 'baby' and then scouring websites to add all the beautiful things that you will (probably not) buy when you are actually pregnant!!!

1 million and 4 Imagining how you will tell your firstborn that they are going to be a big brother/sister

1million and 5 trying not to get up or move too much after sex in order to give the sperm a chance to get to the egg!
