Hello,

So, I've been TTC on and off for TWO BLOODY YEARS!!!!! And am going to the doctors next week. However, I am the eternal optimist and will be SWI like the best of them for the next few weeks before I start symptom spotting again. Grin

Come and join me and lets see who gets lucky this month!

(But pretty please let me be one. I mean, I am starting the thread, those are the rules aren't they?

Everytime I tell him a new symptom he says 'is that good?' and I then reel off all the pros and cons and add that maybe they are just in my head!

ghosteditor · 09/02/2011 21:18

[welcomes pinkpink to the thread]

Good to bring another lurker onto the boards! What day will you know whether to test or not? Fx for you!

pinkpinkeverywhere · 09/02/2011 21:23

Day 28 will be Saturday but I'm going to try and hold out until Monday, but as I leave for work at 6.30 I might do it Sunday instead (any excuse really!) Last month my Af came on day 24 so every day is a bonus at the moment!

ghosteditor · 09/02/2011 21:28

oh that bodes very well indeed! Good luck for Monday (or Sunday Grin )

twolittlemonkeys · 09/02/2011 22:02

Welcome Pinkpink. If you do succumb and test on Saturday you'll have some company as I plan to try to wait til then

twolittlemonkeys · 10/02/2011 08:32

Dammit, I caved and tested this morning.... BFN Angry Sad That means I have no excuse for eating like a pig the past couple of days nor for feeling knackered despite lots of sleep. Need kicking into gear a bit. Grrr.

busyboysmum · 10/02/2011 09:25

Towlittlemonkeys I am with you there - both my freebie tests wasted, two BFNs when will I learn?

And to top it all off I feel a bit crampy this morning, like my period is coming - argh I hate this analysis of every little feeling.

Despite having decided this was our month, that I wasn't going to test early, that I was going to be cool calm and collected about it, I am a huge failure in all departments!!

lucylookout · 10/02/2011 09:37

Don't be too mad at yourselves busy and monkeys, the 2ww can send the steeliest woman insane! AND it ain't over til the fat lady sings, and there are no AFs yet. I haven't tested yet, only because my telltale preg symptoms are constipation, stuffy nose and breathlessness (oh the glamour) and I don't have any of those.
Rainy day here, hope it's better where you all are x

Oh and welcome pink, let's hope your symptoms are signs of a looming bfp!

busyboysmum · 10/02/2011 11:01

Well I think it's over here sadly - have got af (pretty sure it is af although of course I have been googling implantation bleeding clutching at straws!!)

Good luck to everyone else on the thread - I hope to see some good news from those left to test.

Smile
lucylookout · 10/02/2011 11:38

Sorry to hear that busy. I'm sure you'll get that BFP soon x

busyboysmum · 10/02/2011 12:26

Thanks Lucy good luck with your testing and well done for holding out x

LoveInAColdClimate · 10/02/2011 12:35

Oh dear, to hear that, busy. I hope next month is your month...

VintageNancy · 10/02/2011 12:41

This month I've been telling myself I wouldn't obsess and I've been staying off MN but here I am again with 3 days until AF due and I'm symptom spotting like a mad thing. So thought I'd jump on this thread and wait out the last few days with you lot! :)

Symptoms:
tender boobs, bloating, pain in right side (have had on and off since ov).

Bumpsadaisie · 10/02/2011 12:58

Hello there

11 DPO here but temps took a tumble this morning, so expect AF.

This is our second cycle of TTC #2. We were very lucky and DD was conceived first time round last time. However I was a fresh trim 34 then and am now 36, knackered and saggy!

My cycles can vary between 29 and 32/33 days normally, though last one was a mad 38 days.

Good luck all.

Bumps x

pinkpinkeverywhere · 10/02/2011 14:01

Sorry to hear about those BFN's. I'm holding out as in a way I can hold onto maybe perhaps being pg, but once I've done a test and it's a BFN I come crashing down to earth.
My boobs are still sore and I've got lower back ache so I've still got my fingers crossed.
Hopefully by Monday we'll have lots of BFP's!

Daiso · 10/02/2011 15:24

I wanted to be joining this thread but we missed it ( arguments and crossed working meaning didn't see each other!) so am hoping to be on the next one.
Wishing you all lots and lots of luck for your BFP!

KatyCustard · 10/02/2011 15:49

oh I'm sorry to hear that busy
I may well be joining you, I've had no symptoms at all this month, I just feel like I'm coming down with flu. Was fine until lumchtime but have been sent home from work as I feel awful.

Oh well. There's always next month!

OP posts:
grottielottie · 10/02/2011 16:43

It looks like I won't be testing after all, having bad cramps although not due till Mon. Ho hum, at least the good thing about periods pain that start about a week before I'm due and are incredibly painful is that I am going to save a lot on wasted tests and the tww seems shorter.

busyboysmum · 10/02/2011 17:11

Grottielottie same here - on to next cycle eh?

Katy I hope you have good luck this month - it's your thread, it's most unfair if you don't.

Where do I go now? Can I stay on this thread once everyone's tested and either got on a bus or is starting again? MN is very big and there seem to be a lot of people on here - I find it really bewildering TBH.

knittymum · 10/02/2011 17:13

Feeling shocking today. You know when you brew tea for too long? I've got that taste in my mouth. Feeling travelsick as well, and dozed on the sofa this afternoon. I had to clean out the slowcooker this morning after yesterday's chicken casserole and I was heaving. I'm scared though that I'm thinking myself into symptoms. Way too early for any of this, isn't it??

Sorry to hear about those of you who think you're getting off this bus. If you do, extra good luck for next month to you!

ghosteditor · 10/02/2011 17:40

oh katy I really hope it's just a passing thing. DH and I both have flu at the moment (he's a few days behind me so I can at least look after him as I feel comparatively better). This bout of flu has been a real doozy - congestion, shortness of breath, awful coughing, sore throat, headache, swollen glands, aching, fever and vomiting - and I've been ill for at least 9 days now. In any case I really hope this is not what you have!!!

On the bright side Hmm as I was vomiting I was thinking, gosh, at least if I get morning sickness I won't have the headache and the swollen glands...

ghosteditor · 10/02/2011 17:41

oh and ps knitty you and your cheeky early symptoms, hope it lasts until you get your BFP (fx)and then you feel all glowly and blooming thereafter!

knittymum · 10/02/2011 17:50

Wouldn't that be lovely, ghost! I'll probably find out that I'm just having sympathy pains with my DSIL though! And still too scared to test early!

lucylookout · 10/02/2011 19:18

Symptoms are sounding positive knitty. Fx!
My appt with the fertility specialist went well. DH has excellent sperm (that's what he was telling me all along anyway Wink), good mobility, motility etc etc. Apparently my corpus luteum is 'perfect' and my progesterone levels are very good. I am pleased, but the other part of me wanted to find a problem that could be fixed, because if DH and I are so bloody perfect what aren't I getting pregnant? Still due to go back next cycle for an HSG. Maybe my tubes just need a little spring clean!?

knittymum · 10/02/2011 19:50

I know what you mean, Lucy, hopefully you'll be one of those women who gets a BFP the day before your clinic appointment! Really hope that Sod's Law works out for you in that way anyway!

Someone slap me around the face with a wet kipper - IB (imaginary baby) is making me worry about having my dental appointment next week (treatment for a root infection. Am now officially obsessing about everything. Oh, and baked beans at teatime tasted funny. Never heard that one before!
