Hello,

So, I've been TTC on and off for TWO BLOODY YEARS!!!!! And am going to the doctors next week. However, I am the eternal optimist and will be SWI like the best of them for the next few weeks before I start symptom spotting again. Grin

Come and join me and lets see who gets lucky this month!

(But pretty please let me be one. I mean, I am starting the thread, those are the rules aren't they?

*lot not loy! Blush

also just realised i said about dizzy spells/light headed twice!

EDD 26th October if all goes well. Confused
fingers crossed! Smile

ghosteditor · 16/02/2011 22:27

aw thanks bumps !

still no AF. Am full on dithering about whether to test in the morning (only have one more test), will be CD 27 after last month's 25 day cycle. I tested CD 24 with a BFN so I suppose three days is enough time for hormone levels to change, should a hormone level change be forthcoming!

Whaddya reckon?

DH has been making questioning sort of faces about timings and all of that so am considering asking his opinion about whether to test or not, but I think I'd rather not have him waiting outside the door while I count down the minutes on the test!

ghosteditor · 16/02/2011 22:28

omg lovemybabyboy you are 100% knocked up, you can't get a line at all if you're not pregnant and producing the hormone. Congrats!!!

Bumpsadaisie · 17/02/2011 07:13

Congrats lovemybabyboy! Def a bfp!

Ghost - how sure are you about how many dpo you are? If 14 plus then whatever result is likely to be pretty conclusive so what's the harm?

ghosteditor · 17/02/2011 09:09

hey bumps, no idea how many days dpo I am - I don't get any symptoms of ovulation and I'm not ready to start charting etc. DH is away a lot with work and can't chose his trips so knowing I'm ovulating won't really help if he's not around.

Tested this morning with a sainsbury's cheapie, BFN, no AF. Sad

Bumpsadaisie · 17/02/2011 09:56

Ghost - sorry to hear you got a BFN this morning Sad. Your cycles are 28 days usually, is that right?

You never know, you might well not ov until CD17/18 and so now you may only be 10 DPO. My average period length is 31 days and I ov on CD20 usually.

On the other hand, unfortunately AF can sometimes just be annoyingly late to mess with your head - 7 days late for me last time round - and BFN after BFN. That was our first cycle TTC too so I wonder if it was all the stress/excitement/getting head round it stuff?

Really hope the limbo is resolved for you soon (and that it is resolved in a BFP way!!)

boobellina · 17/02/2011 10:07

AF arrived this morning right on schedule. So not this month.

Now DH and I are scrabbling around trying to find the grand we need to do this all over again next month and he doesn't even get the treat of me behaving like some wanton sex starved slut either!

Good luck to everyone else hope we get lots more BFPs - but please can someone save one for us in November x

ghosteditor · 17/02/2011 10:20

boobellina I'm really sorry to hear that. Fx for you next time.

bumps , not exactly - last two AFs have been 21 and 25 days, before that I was pretty much always the evening of the 27 day (for the first few months after I came off the pill, anyway). I don't recall ever having AF arrive later than 28 days, though, so hopefully will avoid the mysteriously long cycles. Yet again I feel very pre-AF crampy so maybe today will be the day! Don't mind too much, but the uncertainty is doing my head in, and I'm not even late.

Patience is not one of my virtues!

Bumpsadaisie · 17/02/2011 10:21

Boobellina

So sorry to hear that - Sad. It must be absolutely gutting for you and your DH, especially as you are having to pay so much money each time. I have got everything crossed for you in particular, for November!

Bumpsadaisie · 17/02/2011 10:23

Ghost - its awful isn't it. Best to assume she is coming then, and then in a few days when she hasn't turned up lets hope you start feeling a bit weird/pukey/knackered and can test again!

LoveInAColdClimate · 17/02/2011 11:50

Sorry to hear about the BFNs and AFs (but the thread has had a lovely sprinkling of BFPs Smile - congratulations again everyone!

Hmmmm, am 9 DPO and feeling very crampy - could this be the legendary implantation cramps or just early signs of AF? Also had a temperature dip yesterday but back up today - possible implantation dip????? Definitely have sore boobs but again could just be AF on her way. Also feel sick but I think that may be entirely psychosomatic! Am driving myself insane.

I do have some super-sensitive 10mlu tests so I may test on Saturday which would be 11 DPO. Just wish either AF would arrive or I would get some confirmation I am pregnant (if not a BFN then possibly, er, a sign like an Archangel visitation or possibly sky writing?) - am far too impatient to stand the waiting!

ghosteditor · 17/02/2011 11:55

LIACC , DH is a pilot and he's going flying tonight, maybe I could ask him to sort out some sky writing? Wink

And thanks bumps, good to have a sensible head around here. I just wish things were busier at work so the days would go faster; I'm heading back to the gym tonight after two weeks off because of school, so at least I won't be loitering around here all night torturing myself!

LoveInAColdClimate · 17/02/2011 12:06

I am all over the sky writing, ghost!

I know just what you mean about wanting the days to go faster - I cannot concentrate at work at all. Am sure my test on Saturday will be a BFN but still can't wait to do it. I just want to know - but even if BFN no real way of knowing until AF arrives or get BFP.

dollysgirl · 17/02/2011 12:07

LOVEINACOLDCLIMATE; sorry ive been using opk lingo! yes day 1 to me is day 1 of af,so is my day 8 cycle day 1 in MN terms? im so confused but thankyou for being there...maybe the opk's just dont work for me
GHOST; i also started 19th/20th jan, after a 25 day cycle-which is usually 27/28 days ,and so my af is overdue...just got a BFN!! BUT STILL NO AF ..GRRR
ANYMORE BFP'S???? is it worth me testing again in few days??i have got minor af cramps but iv had preg symptoms too,a
i was convinced id get a BFP :-(

maybebabyR · 17/02/2011 12:14

Hi everyone, just wondering if I could jump on the obsession band wagon too?!

I think I ovulated on 6th Feb, and AF sould be due on 20th.

Am completely shattered (normally have loads of energy). headachy and had some strange cramps yesterday, but have disappeared now.

TTC#1 for me, so am fairly new to all this!!

dollysgirl · 17/02/2011 12:22

HI MAYBEBABYR!im new too!sounds very promising at your end! i have a daughter, and when i was pg with her i was convinced i had af cramps, and most ppl tell the same thing so fx for you!!

maybebabyR · 17/02/2011 12:25

Hi dolly thanks for that!

Just don't want to get my hopes up, as had MC over Christmas, and feel it is too good to be true that could happen again so soon!!

ghosteditor · 17/02/2011 12:31

dolly we must have pretty synchronised cycles, then. You're definitely late now! I don't have any tests left now and think maybe I shouldn't buy any more for a while.

Suspect that if AF hasn't arrived by Saturday I might test again Sunday morning, but having had a BFN this morning it's not looking very likely. I wish I could just ignore everything and not test unless AF is actually late, like a week or something.

maybe here's hoping this is your month.

LoveInAColdClimate · 17/02/2011 13:00

Hi dolly - no, day 1 here is still the first day of your period, I just wanted to check you weren't using some other method of working it out like day 1 being the first day after AF (so day 8 would really be more like day 13, IYKWIM). Hope this turns out to be your month!

Right, now I am going try to forget all about cramps/nausea/tiredness/metallic tastes/sore boobs until the weekend, then will test, get a BFN, and start obsessing instead over whether is false negative...

dollysgirl · 17/02/2011 18:46

GHOST; how long will you leave it then if you dont get your af,before u test again...im fully relying on my test being correct ,but no af and ive never been this late, dont know how long to leave it ??
LIACC; FX for you this weekend...its nearly here hold tight!!

lovemybabyboy · 17/02/2011 22:32

Thanks for the re-assurance, i had another lighter than control line bfp today! I contacted midwives today and lady on phone took some details and said a midwife will contact me within the next week!! It just feels so long to wait, I am so scared that i will have another mc! I am trying to be positive but it is so hard!

ghosteditor · 18/02/2011 09:41

dolly still no AF for me, this is day 28 so if I don't get AF by tonight it will be the latest I've ever been.

I guess if no AF by tomorrow I'll buy a test at the supermarket and then test Sunday morning, not sure, really don't want another BFN.

It's a bugger because I've read about loads of people on here who either don't get BFP until AF is a week or two late or even some who don't ever get a BFP and go on to have healthy babies. However I bet more people than that have a random long cycle with AF appearing strangely late (maybe that's a chemical pg thing, not sure). So the uncertainty continues... Confused

ghosteditor · 18/02/2011 10:00

Ok, AF has arrived, so that's it for me this time around.

Am sure I'll see some of you on the Nov bus or the next 'testing around' thread!

Thanks for the support ladies...

Bumpsadaisie · 18/02/2011 10:04

Oh what a bummer Ghost - I had everything crossed! Sad

Very best of luck for next month - I will keep tabs on you! Wishing you lots of enjoyable SWI!

Bumps x

ghosteditor · 18/02/2011 12:52

thanks! I think DH will secretly be a little bit pleased that it will be SWI instead of fatigue and nausea next month Grin
