Hi,

I had Implanon removed end of November, have had one period since and am currently on day 16. TTC #2. Used some OPKs over the weekend which were positive on Sunday and Monday morning so assuming I ovulated Sun or Mon perhaps tho this was my first time using them properly.

Anyone else due to test around the same time who wants to share (possibly non-existent!) symptoms? :)

I'm now 2dpo and now it's just a waiting game.

arabella36 · 17/01/2011 07:41

Thanks for the summary fluffy and hope you feel better soon caz*.

Nobody will be surprised to hear I tested again this am. Blush

I think as time goes on I must try to stop the silliness of symptom spotting as I am in danger of actualy convincing myself that I'm pregnant and then be surprised and disappointed when I'm not!

I'm 6 days before period due now.

How's everyone else who's due about then? Any symptoms?

VintageNancy · 17/01/2011 08:21

Morning arabella
I've resisted testing this morning. Still in bed at moment feeling v.sick but I'm probably imagining it!

CazandBelle · 17/01/2011 08:34

not feeling any better. have hardly slept due to not being able to breathe, max 20 mins at a time, upstairs downstairs. really restless. Feeling really teary this morning which i know it pathetic. gp's at 10.

arabella36 · 17/01/2011 09:24

Hop it's morning sickness Vintage!

Poor Caz! That sounds awful, I hope your gp can help.

sunface · 17/01/2011 09:50

Hi all, sorry our computer at home not working so not had a chance to post. i'm just feeling that yucky crampy way that i get before AF :( She is due to appear this weekend, so i have to try and resist buying any tests before then (unlikely!!!)I'm TTC number 3 and it did take a while with my other 2.... how's everyone else getting on?

ghosteditor · 17/01/2011 11:08

Hey ladies,

I'm going to take a deep breath and join in!

I came off the pill last Sept with a view to TTC in Dec/Jan, but then work went crazy and I was promoted and decided to hold off for a bit until later in 2011.

However, DH has been away since mid Dec and has just come home. We got a little bit carried away Wink so I find myself in a position to join in with the thread!

I've always had the world's most regular 27/28 day cycle but then AF arrived a whole week early on Dec 27 (grrrr). This has never ever happened before! So assuming I reset to 28 days AF will be due (you guessed it) on Jan 24th. Major caveat here is that if my cycle is all average and stuff then we were probably a little bit too late with the nookie! So obviously we've decided not to bother with contraception until next cycle Grin.

But if it doesn't happen this month (and it's pretty damn unlikely I have to say) then we will be going back to the original (later on in 2011) plan. Honest, guv.

Good luck ladies!!

ghosteditor · 17/01/2011 11:10

Also can I add that I love how candid MN is for this kind of detail ;)

sunface · 17/01/2011 11:46

Hi ghosteditor and welcome!! heehee i love how MN allows us to be so candid too! i'm now wondering if i got a first response 4 days early test, if anything would happen... i am the worlds worst when it comes to patience!!!!

KatyCustard · 17/01/2011 12:17

Me too, sunface, it's shocking how much money I have spent on tests in the last few years - it must be hundreds! Thank goodness for mumsneters pointing me in the direction of interent cheapies. Now I can test 5 times a day! (Well, maybe not that much. But you know. It's passes the time!)

Icoulddoitbetter · 17/01/2011 12:42

Hi all, have finally got round to reading this thread and will join you if that is ok?

I think I'm due on 24th, usually have a 26 day cycle but haven't taken any notice recently. Since wed I've been having cramps, and was frantically googling ovulation and implantation cramps! No spotting, though the tummy pain has carried on, which I'm sure I don;t normally get, and I have a feeling I had this with DS.
It was interesting to hear people saying the felt really hungry after eating, I've found myself peckish really soon after eating a big meal, not like me (though I am very greedy!).

There's been lots of horrid family stuff going on over the last few days (that's another thread), and I've felt a little nauseous but I;ve attributed it to stress. I've also had a slight temp since yesterday and today have a mildly dodgy tum today but don't know if that is a symtom of something else.

I also convinced myself at the end of last week that my boobs were feeling tingly but don't think they really were!

With DS it took us a couple of months of TBH not trying that hard, we were quite surprised with the bfp!

I am soooooooooooooooooo impatient, the test is sitting in the bathroom drawer now and I really really want to go and open it!!!!

sunface · 17/01/2011 13:02

katycustard , i've just been out and bought some boots tests!!! now trying to convince myself not to go near them until the weekend - what are the chances?!!! need to start buying the amazon ones i reckon, its so pricey otherwise!!

Icoulddoitbetter, i've had a dodgy tummy for the last few days too.. not sure if that's a sign of anything for me mind you as i dont' remember having that the last time. i do feel as if AF is on her way though, i've got that dull pain....

iloveblue · 17/01/2011 13:26

sunface with DS2 I had dull aches as if AF was on its way for days before I got BFP - its quite common apparently. Fingers crossed. Smile

FluffyDonkey · 17/01/2011 13:29

How early can you use early tests?

Haven't let myself buy any tests yet but I think next weekend I'll end up getting some...

Not too keen on ordering over the internet cos I don't live in the UK. I ordered Conceive Plus and it still hasn't arrived and it's over a week late (although according to Amazon it has been dispatched).

Haven't looked at prices yet but I bet the tests are horrendously expensive here.

Crossing fingers we all get that lovely BFP

ghosteditor · 17/01/2011 13:35

hey sunface and all you other Monday morning posters! Fingers crossed for you all!

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and say don't test until you're actually due AF! I hear from the wisdom of MN that some of the tests advertised as early tests will work a few days before AF is due, but let's face it, if you get a negative before AF is due you're just going to keep testing! Expensivo!

However of course wishing you all big fat positives and things Wink

I made you all hate me now, right?

arabella36 · 17/01/2011 13:36

party-pooper ghosteditor!! Grin

ghosteditor · 17/01/2011 13:43

I know I suck! I think I'm just trying to drill exactly the same message into myself.

I'm sure many other first timers have said the same thing, but I have basically spent the last 7 years with my partner believing that even thinking about not using contraception instantly leads to pregnancy, 'cause that's what is drilled into us from school age. Then when you actually look into it things are waaaay more complicated than that. How contrary we all are...

FluffyDonkey · 17/01/2011 13:51

It's exactly what i needed to hear Ghost!

Will buy some tests this weekend but won't test until the 24th

FluffyDonkey · 17/01/2011 13:52

Maybe the 23rd... Grin

(it's a weekend - more pratical than Monday morning which is always depressing anyway)

ghosteditor · 17/01/2011 14:03

well, I'll be rooting for you fluff, and I agree that the weekend might be better Grin

I will be trying v hard not to think about it this weekend as it's my birthday and I'll be staying at a lovely hotel and having afternoon tea with my lovely friends - hoping to avoid an early AF after last month's lifetime first of a 21 day cycle!

DH is ultra-keen though, poor boy thinks he has supersperm Wink

FluffyDonkey · 17/01/2011 14:09

Lol
Nice you'll be having a weekend away to distract yourself.

DH is DESPERATE for me to be pregnant. I almost think that I could cope with my disappointment better than I could his!

muffins · 17/01/2011 14:10

Afternoon ladies,

CazandBelle, you sound very poorly, hope you feel better soon!

My symptoms have disappeared, still odd bit of cramping.

Tested yesterday, 6/7 days post ovulation......with a well hydrated evening wee.......and of course it was a BFN. But somehow I still felt disappointed Grin what a plonker. DP and I had a giggle about the £5 we wasted.

Gotta go for now, supposed to be working :)

ps welcome to all the new 2WW ers! xxx

sunface · 17/01/2011 14:39

heeheehee muffins i stupidly just tested - what on earth was i thinking?!!!! Course it was BFN. Am now definately not testing until sunday or monday... so there!!! Famous last words!!

ghosteditor · 17/01/2011 14:51

sorry to hear that muffins and sunface but at least you have another chance to test this month.

fluff, heehee, yes, and funny how when the boys are on board, they are really on board!

oh and also caz really hope you are feeling better, how did GP visit go?

CazandBelle · 17/01/2011 14:59

hey, gp visit confirmed the tonsilitis I was expecting it to be. desperately willing antibiotics to start kicking in, anytime now would be great.

ghost i need that drilling into me too! really going to try hard not to buy any tests before AF is due. supposed to be going to a party on Friday though, (if I'm well enough obviously!) and wouldn't want to drink if there was the slightest chance I was. Friday would be too soon to test wouldn't it...
