Hi,

I had Implanon removed end of November, have had one period since and am currently on day 16. TTC #2. Used some OPKs over the weekend which were positive on Sunday and Monday morning so assuming I ovulated Sun or Mon perhaps tho this was my first time using them properly.

Anyone else due to test around the same time who wants to share (possibly non-existent!) symptoms? :)

hi can i join in?

AF was due 3 days ago (day 29) but its pretty irratic and it can be anything up to day 35 when she arrives Angry this is month 5 and obv no luck yet, DH is saying i have to wait until at least day 35 to test as we'll soon need a 2nd mortgage to fund my boots chemists addiction, oh and the cherry on the top of this very frustrating cake is this saturday i'm going pram shopping with my friend who... wait for it... got pregnant by accident! if its a bfn on tuesday its guna be one fun shopping trip! Wink
on the plus side my boobs have gotten huge and i've had pains in my tummy and lower back all week :)

BlueCrane · 15/01/2011 19:22

hi hapless not too long to wait now Smile and the 'symptoms' sound promising Grin !

muffins · 15/01/2011 21:24

Eveningladies, hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

I am 5/6 days post ovulation today and have had lower tummy cramps all day, not sure if I should be cautiously optimistic or not!

Bought some first response tests today, gonna try hold out til Wednesday at least!

ooo can I pop my head in! I had positive OV test on Wedendsay (12th), ov cramps on wed and thurs. now in 2ww and will be due to test 26th ish!

we're TTC#2

Came off pill start of November. 1st cycle was 44 days! (was going out of my mind!)
will be using CBFM if we haven't caught this time.

muffins · 15/01/2011 21:36

Hi cazandbelle

it took five weeks ish for me to get af after implant-it's frustrating not knowing where you are in your cycle isn't it!
How long did it take for you to conceive number 1?

CazandBelle · 15/01/2011 21:39

hi muffins!

Really frustrating! I'm glad to know where I am this month, although have OV on day 23/24 so its another long cycle.

We caught #1 on 3rd cycle after we stopped pill. 2nd cycle using CBFM. So fairly quickly.

How about yourself?

muffins · 15/01/2011 21:51

Well it's slightly embarrassing but I fell pregnant from one occasion, wasn't trying at all so have convinced myself I can't possibly be so lucky again this time round!
The thing I'm finding so frustrating is not knowing what's going on inside if that makes sense. DP keeps stroking my tummy and I just feel it's stupid cos there might be absolutely nothing going on in there!

When you get the positive on opks is that the day you're supposed to have sex?!

OP posts:
CazandBelle · 15/01/2011 21:56

Hey you never know! :) You might be that lucky!

My DH was stroking my tummy last night too. I know what you mean though because there might be nothing there at all!

I think the opks predict that ov will be with 24 hours, so having sex on that day can't hurt can it... sperm can live for up to 5 days inside us waiting for the egg to arrive anyway.

We've more or less been having sex every two days/every other day this month just incase (because I couldn't predict when ov was going to be because had no idea about length of cycle after 1st month), this week we DTD wed, thurs, fri.... so here's really hoping.

I can't remember having any symptoms with #1 until a week after bfp when the sickness well and truely kicked in! Although before testing I did have period pain which obviously didn't turn out to be period pain at all!!

muffins · 15/01/2011 22:06

I remember having the odd bit of period pain after getting my bfp last time but can't remember the week or so before because I wasn't consciously trying so didn't think about it if that makes sense.

Have been frantically googling implantation pains Grin

how old is your little one, mine is 3 and a half now :)

PM'd you Muffins

Our DD was born an angel and no longer with us. She would be coming up 7 months now. She is a huge part of our world and we're ttc #2 with lots of hope for the future.

muffins · 15/01/2011 22:29

Oh I've just worked out that you can get more than one page of posts on one thread - d'oh what a numpty! Thought it was strange nobody else had added anything else.

Hello again!

RE: Symptom spotting I think I am losing my marbles - normally very well organised and 'together' sort of a person. However a week before I come on is usually referred to as 'Clumsy week' by my DH and I seem to have had this for the last two weeks! Been a bit spaced out and ditzy - scatched the car on the garden wall this morning and keep dropping stuff.

Also think boobs a bit sore and I'm a bit bloated.

If the first day of my AF is due to be the 24th and it hasn't arrived does that mean I test on the 24th? Like I said being a bit thick and it's my first cycle TTC.

Also using the CBFM for the first time and I'm on CD 20 - it's been saying that I'm high fertility but not peak since day 7 and still say that this morning so chances are I've not ovulated or am not preggers.

I'm so relieved to come on here and sound like a mentalist so I don't talk about it with any friends or anything or drive my DH even more mad than I am doing already!

FluffyDonkey · 16/01/2011 17:55

Hello everyone!!!

Glad to know I'm not the only one still obsessing Blush

My cramps come and go. No other symptoms to report (only time in my life I've wanted to feel sick!!)

I've decided to cut out "bad" food and drink whilst TTC but as I don't drink coffee/tea anyway and am not keen on alcohol it's not much of an effort.

However, the difficulty I have is with sport. I read that in the 2ww you should only do gentle exercise. But I have karate training 2-3 times a week and I don't particularly want to give it up until I know I'm pregnant....

So now I'm training, but as gently as possible. Am not sparring plus I'm asking people not to hit my stomach (which of course is a BIG giveaway - especially as DH trains at the same club and they all know we got married last summer!).

But I still felt very guilty yesterday when I had stmach cramps after training.

This waiting is terrible! Another 8 days before my AF is due (assuming my cycle is 28 days which I have no idea if it is or not!)

haplesshippy · 16/01/2011 17:59

well i gave in and took a test this morning bfn :( pretty darn gutted tbh :(

toytown · 16/01/2011 18:04

Oh sorry hapless. Sad
Fluffy, I helped move 50 bails of hay in my early pregnancy (before I knew obviously) and went on holiday with all the dodgy cocktails/ food,Blush so I'd try not to worry too much.
Having said that, you know your bady best. If you feel a bit crampy I'd lay off the exercise a bit.
Good luck Smile

FluffyDonkey · 16/01/2011 18:10

Thanks toytown. I keep telling myself that many women don't know they're pregnant for ages and carry on as normal...oh well, I'll know soon enough.

Thought I'd do a quick summary of us all - sorry if I've got anything wrong!

MNers testing on or around Jan 24th (if they can wait that long Grin )

FluffyDonkey · 16/01/2011 18:10

acronyms

KatyCustard · 16/01/2011 18:18

Hello,

I am due on the 25th (I think, my body likes to keep me guessing), please can I join in too?

I have had weird crampy things happening for a couple of days but the main symptom I have is that my boobs are WEIRD. Slightly heavy, but also tingly, which I definately don't get before a period, and besides, I'm not due yet anyway. Oh, and I am emotional, again, could just be me!
(However, I am the queen of imaginary symptoms though, so I'm not getting too excited Wink)

Last month I had a chemical p so I really hope if I am it's a sticky one.

toytown · 16/01/2011 18:26

Hello Katy. I too have a list of possibly imaginary symtoms as long as my arm but the boobs thing sounds quite promising. good luck.

CazandBelle · 16/01/2011 18:50

Ahh feeling so poorly today. achy all over and my glands are swollen and sore. :( I'm predicting tonsilitis. will be going to gp in the morning. hope it doesn't have a negative effect on possible implantation. 3/4 days post ov today.

sorry about the bfn haples - maybe you tested too early... not over until AF arrives...

VintageNancy · 16/01/2011 20:14

Evening everyone, hello new lovelies with your lovely (imaginary) symptoms. Here's hoping they're not imaginary at all and you get fabulous BFPs.

You know how I said I wouldn't test? I did yesterday! You can guess the result. I don't know why I did it - way too early of course! My period is due on Friday so I have to resist the urge until after then.

Hope you feel better CazandBelle - tonsillitis is grim :(

BlueCrane · 16/01/2011 20:59

Evening all. Thanks fluffy for the summary and sorry to hear about the bfn hapless, as cazandbelle said it's not over 'til AF arrives.

Challenge this week is to hang in there together before the testing commences and hopefuuly some good news too!! Grin

I've still got cramps on and off, wind, tiredness and bloating on and off too. And now I can sympathise with cazandbelle too as my glands are up and throat getting sore Sad. Though this could be a good thing in a strange sense as I often get sore glands/start of a sore throat when my body's under stress Wink...will just have to wait and see though!
