Anybody else due to test around 24th January?

Hi,

I had Implanon removed end of November, have had one period since and am currently on day 16. TTC #2. Used some OPKs over the weekend which were positive on Sunday and Monday morning so assuming I ovulated Sun or Mon perhaps tho this was my first time using them properly.

Anyone else due to test around the same time who wants to share (possibly non-existent!) symptoms? :)

I was thinking of waiting until the Saturday 29th to test. On the basis that I should be due the 24th but I'll leave a few days just in case...however I don't know if I'll be able to hold off that long!

My one symptom (bloating/constipation - TMI I know!) has now disappeared. Not sure whether I mind or not - it was very uncomfortable! Woke this morning really tired and with lower back pain. But it might be imaginary and the tiredness can definately be put down to working until 9pm every night this week...

Am also starving but that's quite usual Blush

Haven't bought any tests yet - hoping that my working late will mean I won't be able to get to the pharmacy before the weekend (tests aren't widely sold where I live). thing is I could always buy them this weekend in preparation....

Happy to hear about the 25% chance though. I had heard 20% Wink . Thing is I feel under pressure as a good friend of mine (who is incidently born on exactly the same day) got pregnant 2 weeks after stopping the pill Envy

DH is desperate for a baby and strokes my stomach every evening hoping some cells are multiplying...

FluffyDonkey · 13/01/2011 09:48

Oh, and how do you ladies do this month after month? This is my first month and it's already annoying me! Grin

BlueCrane · 13/01/2011 09:56

I'd join you on that one as well! Got to wait til at least 20th to test and it's driving me mad already! Lower stomach been feeling increasingly crampy/tight/v bloated/strange for last few days. Trying hard not to obsess but been searching everywhere re. early symptoms to try and see if that could be it! Also feel v achey and had upset stomach on and off for the last week...but only in the mornings! No nausea just feel as though i've not eaten - that empty feeling - even straight after a meal when i couldn't eat another mouthful! mmmm...just got to keep waiting! Smile

arabella36 · 13/01/2011 11:33

Good morning ladies!

fluffy - I'll be impressed if you can hold off that long to test! I'm on cycle 1 of TTC too although it will be DC2.

bluecrane - What date is your AF due? Those symptoms sound promisingSmile

muffins - I understand about wanting to have a chance to test as its an exciting thing to do.

You'll never believe how ridiculous I've been: even though I know it was impossible to have an accurate test at this stage, I still wasted a test this morning! Now you can all feel better that there is someone who is sillier about all this than youGrin

I'm only 3-4 DPO but am suspicious I might be pregnant. I have a dull ache in area where period pains normally are, I had slight nausea and a lot of tiredness, and craving junk food unusually. But I'm guessing its probably too early to have symptoms anywayConfused

BlueCrane · 13/01/2011 12:24

Hi arabella my AF due on 20th if cycle same as last couple of months...guess I could try testing bit earlier than 20th but want to try and wait if I can!

Just back from a holiday in the sunshine and none of my winter clothes seem to fit the way they did before we went due to my bloated tum (and possibly a bit of overeating Wink)...just glad I'm not back to work until Monday as gives me a few days to see if the bloating goes and whether I can get into my work trousers without being in agony pressing on my already strangely sore stomach!

Hadn't really thought about this 2ww before we started trying...am such an impatient person!

VintageNancy · 13/01/2011 14:02

I'm due on 21st so I may test on the 20th but on cycle 1 I got all carried away and spent a fortune on tests so I don't want to do that again! Plus husband is away next week (and this week) and I don't really want to do it if he's not here so would rather wait until weekend. If I can hold out that long!

BlueCrane I've got that weird tight, crampy, bloaty feeling too. Fingers crossed!

FluffyDonkey · 13/01/2011 14:33

So, lots of bloated TTCers out there! Grin

Thing is, I don't know if my bloating is because of pregnancy or my body adapting to the fact I've just stopped the pill Confused

Whichever, I still have a week to go before I can test Sad

And even if it is positive I have 10 weeks before the first scan and then many many more months before I meet my baby (can you tell I'm overthinking this?). I complained to my mum the other day that 9 months is just too long to wait and she said "you'll need it"!

eastegg · 13/01/2011 16:39

Hello, can I join? Can't believe I'm doing this actually, as I was planning on not TTCing for another couple of months, but we threw caution to the wind over the weekend and now I'm wondering...
Would normally have ovulated at the very beginning of the month and be expecting period around 16/17th but, and it could be a big but, I was ill for the last week of Dec with flu and lost some weight and I've got a feeling I have ovulated but later than normal. So I'm just going to wait and see, and if I do a test it will be a few days after the 17th because if I am PG it will be because everything's happened later IYSWIM.
Am definitely feeling more bloated/ windy than usual and getting a light-headed/ low blood pressure-type feeling when I stand up.

Sorry for going on a bit.

muffins · 13/01/2011 17:06

Hi everyone :)

well I'm still very bloated but just wondering if I need a big poop now Grin

arabella you make me giggle, I can't believe u tested already he he!

Well I had an ultrasound today and it looks like I may have had two follicles this month, guess some twins on the thread might be exciting Grin

welcome to all the new 2ww'ers :)

it's nice to have somewhere to share symptoms and etc xx

VintageNancy · 13/01/2011 19:03

Evening :)

muffins yes twins would be very exciting!

I had my dinner an hour ago (chicken breast and loads of lentils - I'm trying to eat healthily) - and I'm now starving again.

Is that another symptom to add to my list of imaginary symptoms? (I'm going to keep telling myself they're imaginary until I know anything different).

arabella36 · 13/01/2011 19:04

Hello eastegg and welcome to the mental-nessGrin

muffins - laughing at your "big poop" hypothesis, lets hope all our pregnancy symptoms don't disappear after some healthy toileting, hee hee. . . Twins, that would be amazing Smile

The only reason I'm even admitting to the diabolical early testing is due to the anonimety of mumsnet!

Any other news people?

BlueCrane · 13/01/2011 20:24

vintagenancy I am also v hungry after a pefectly good meal only an hour and a half ago! My stomach is gurgling away as if i hadn't eaten since lunch! I hate this waiting so much...really not sure how my brain (and DH) will cope if I'm not pg this month and this is only the first round....feel like such a light-weight in comparison to those who've been trying for ages! Really wasn't expecting to feel like this as not super broody, we just decided that it was the right time to TTC and seeing how it goes...now I'm checking every website I can find to symptom check etc etc and counting down to POAS next Thursday!

BlueCrane · 13/01/2011 20:28

PS fluffydonkey I didn't have any bloating when I came off the pill...just had to wait a while for first AF to kick in...and then remembered how heavy and painful they were pre-pill! Also totally with you re. potentially getting bfp and then having to wait 10 weeks for scan etc etc! I never really thought about the stress of waiting and not really knowing until this past week when the 2ww started!! Now I know what all my friends have been through over the last few years!

muffins · 13/01/2011 20:55

Well I'm a sonographer so if any of you get bfp's and live nearby.......Grin x

Hi everyone! Room for one more?!

We're TTC#1, have been for a while, but thought I would get a bit more serious this month and give up the grog Grin I've had a dull headache for the past five days and have been extra sleepy - a sign of anything other than delusion? Hmm

VintageNancy - you ate chicken and lentis and were hungry an hour later?? That's gotta mean something!

lalabaloo · 13/01/2011 23:30

Hiya, can I join you please? We are TTC#1 and not sure who is having more imaginary symptoms, me or DH, he keeps stroking my tummy as if there is already a baby there! This is my first month TTC so not really sure what to expect!

FluffyDonkey I know what you mean, 9 months seems like forever and I just want a baby NOW!

muffins · 14/01/2011 09:01

Welcome lalabaloo and skippyjroo :)

Well I am still bloated (even after some healthy toileting arabella !)
I have another 'symptom' to add, I've had to pee in the night for the last two nights which is very unlike me and is something I had in my last pregnancy from early on....just can't remember how early on!

I like the fact that the symptoms on this thread seem to be mainly hunger, eating lots, followed by bloating and sleepiness ha ha. Maybe we're just all being piggies Grin

For those who are TTC #2, how long did it take to conceive number 1?

Maybe we should make a little list of stats so we know where everyone is in cycle etc and things. I don't know how to do this though! I've seen some on some other threads where it has usual cycle length, how many cycles you've been trying to conceive etc.

FluffyDonkey · 14/01/2011 09:05

Hello everyone

Just realised I was wrong on my last post - I've got 10 days to wait until I'm late (not 1 week) and I'd promised myself I wouldn't test straight away so in fact I have 2 weeks to wait.

Argh!!!!

Fairly bad stomach cramps this morning (like period pain). I really hope I'm pregnant and not just going through all this for nothing Grin

BC - I know what you mean about undestanding now what your friends went through. All our friends have only annonced their pregnancies after 3 months, which pre-TTC I thought was completely normal, cos of MCs etc. However if in a couple of weeks I get a BFP I don't know how I won't tell the world!!! (I'll find it soooooo hard not to tell my mum at least!)

FluffyDonkey · 14/01/2011 09:09

Oooh I forgot the peeing symptom!

I go a lot anyway Blush but the last few days it's been ridiculous (5 times in the morning, 3 times at night instead of the usual once) but it may be nothing.

I really really really wish I could just forget about it. I don't know how people just TTC casually, not really bothered by the outcome.

franjam · 14/01/2011 09:09

Hi there - can I join you?

AF is due on Monday but Fertility Friend is advising me not to test till the 24th (yeah right!!!!!!)

I am symptom spotting like a mad thing - bloating, tiredness, hunger, cramps, boobs feeling mahoosive.....but I get all these when AF is on the way so I'm keeping everything tightly crossed!

Nice to meet you all! [smile}

VintageNancy · 14/01/2011 11:10

Hello new lovelies :)

I have new imaginary symptom - I feel sick! Just mild, don't feel like I actually will be though thankfully.

skippyjroo · 14/01/2011 12:16

Afternoon ladies!

Now that I have begun obsessing... does waking up a few nights in a row with a really dry mouth count as a syptom?

FluffyDonkey · 14/01/2011 12:16

Feeling sick sounds very promising!

FluffyDonkey · 14/01/2011 12:56

Damn google, damn damn google!

Decided (stupidly) to google "coming off the pill symptoms" : yup bloating and cramping are mentionned! (as is increased fertility - yay!)

Although I did also found a nice site that said early pregnancy symptoms include cramping which gets worse when you exercise. I can tick that box after my training last night!

skippy - sure, why not? If it helps with your obsessing Wink . Having said that, a raised temperature is a symptom and might explain a dry mouth...

skippyjroo · 14/01/2011 13:05

I like the way you think FluffyDonkey Grin
