Sorry, orange I meant to say that it all seems within the lines so far, try not to worry. Any further pain?

OrangeGloss · 03/01/2011 14:34

Owl fx for you tomorrow, I hope you have a nice clear scan
Wombat good luck with CB test. I got BFN with Internet cheapie, then did CB Digital with same sample and it said 1-2 weeks
Hadrian glad you have a good Dr, and make sure you get lots if rest. I had trouble sitting at my desk and wish I'd had a few more days
Ochaye happy SWI :)
Dachs am so pleased about the follicles, I'm sending good egg vibes

Thanks for the support, I guess all I can do it wait. I've had no more red except that one wipe, and just had a bit of brown this morning At least it still seems possible from what you've all kindly said, and I know you'd tell the truth :)

OrangeGloss · 03/01/2011 14:38

No pain YRMOTB just occasional discomfort which feels 'normal'
Good luck with the detox, a day at a time seems a lot less daunting

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 03/01/2011 14:40

YRMOTB post me a link and I will pop in!! Am not doing very well with the detox today (although no alcohol for the last two nights is a big improvement on the Xmas-new year frenzy Blush ) but def going to start slimming world/weight watchers over the next week. I did WW after having dd and lost my 2 excess stones in 12 weeks, it was brilliant.

daddysgirl I only had 30 days before first period but it does vary hugely. Mine was erpc rather than natural mc so don't know if that makes a difference...

mwlsen so sorry for your losses - that is a very tough year Sad I hope you are coping ok.... x

mwlsen · 03/01/2011 14:51

I'm being very determined to be positive (not to be mixed up with actually being positive). New Year, New luck etc

I'd also be up for a sideline in weight loss support chat. I didn't really loose the baby weight after DS who is now 5 and have certainly not lost it after my stillbirth.

I had my first period 4.5 weeks after the stillbirth so am hoping that I get back to normal pretty quickly now too. How long did people wait after the MC to try?

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 03/01/2011 14:52

Thanks your and izzy, I was thinking that it must be kinda the same as when you have given birth, is that right?

I'm ok guess I must be getting my hopes up so think first af will hit me hard. Xmas and NY was very tough have just got home from my parents house. Had a horrible Xmas but to be expected as first one after mc, and Nanna and dad passing away.

OrangeGloss · 03/01/2011 15:05

Mwlsen so sorry for the horrible time you've had. I waited for 1 AF before ttc again
DaddysGirl sorry for the horrible time you've had, I hope this year brings some happier times

nickstermum · 03/01/2011 16:41

Mwlsen gosh what a hideous year, no wonder you are happier to be in 2011. ((hugs))

orange sorry it wasnt more conclusive hon, but ?ikzz is right if you had a late ov, longish time implanting then their dates could be spot on, give or take a couple of days. You have long cycles and sadly they dont always take account of that !!

Hoping the blood test reveals more :)

to be honest you got a hcg of 1 - 2 weeks didnt you.... have you done another to see if this has increased? FX it has xxx

nickstermum · 03/01/2011 17:02

OOh dachs i was so caught up in your injuries i didnt see the news about your follies!! Nice one toots! FX for lots x sounds promising x

hairyfairylights · 03/01/2011 17:10

Mwlsen hi - I am trying now, and had my MC on 22nd Nov, so straight away, the current guidelines now say try straight away.

orange sorry not conclusive, hope you are ok.

youremindme and others : I am up for a healthy eating style detox (well, diet and exercise really, I need to lose 1 stone by April and then another stone over the summer if possible).

hurray for dachs follicles!

Wave to everyone else.

I am transferring over here from the 'miscarriage testing' and general miscarriage threads, as I need to be more positive.

I got a high on my CBFM this morning, so hopefully my body is getting back to normal and I'm ready to go again :)

OrangeGloss · 03/01/2011 17:12

Thanks Nix :) I hadn't thought of doing another test. If it has increased would that be a good sign? Sorry, I don't know much about this sort if thing

It's bugging me too that the woman that did the scan called it a cyst as there was no heartbeat she said she couldn't determine what it was :(

OrangeGloss · 03/01/2011 17:24

Hairy that's a good positive step, I hope you're doing ok x

PinkRabbitFood · 03/01/2011 17:26

Just a quickie back soon, dachs fab news about follicles! orange I'd try and consider it good news-she could see something and like the others say, if youve got a long cycle the dates might well tie up. Forget her calling it a cyst-I'm sure technically it is but it pisses me off that they forget you're not a medical textbook, you're an actual person and you have an actual bean. If the dates are right i guess it's too soon for a heartbeat so try not to panic. Any chance they can give you another scan in a fortnight to put your mind at rest? If you do another digi and it's increased or stayed the same that would be a good sign as it means your hormon levels aren't dropping. Blood tests will be definite tho as the digi tests aren't very reliable. mwisen you poor thing, what a horrible year you had last year :( fingers crossed this one will be heaps better for you.

PinkRabbitFood · 03/01/2011 17:28

Ps do you like my new de-festived name?? Pinkfondantfancy made me think of cake too much and as of tomorrow onwards I should really restrict myself to rabbit food.... Grin healthiness handholding sounds excellent btw.

OrangeGloss · 03/01/2011 17:38

Pink I do like the name, and healthier than your last one, fewer calories!
Thanks for the advice, I appreciate everyone's words so much, and am extremely paranoid of taking up the thread, so I'll turn it off for a bit (yeah right)
The Dr just rang, my level is 2740 which ties in for measurement. Will just wait and see on Weds now. I'll do a private scan after that if I get that far Confused

hadrian · 03/01/2011 17:48

Hello to mwlsen and so sorry to hear about your lousy year. Hope this one is a whole lot better for you. Very impressed with your new year's eve action - I was in bed by midnight with my fingers up to 2010!

ochaye - I told my manager that I was at high risk of MC just before Christmas and have just sent him an email telling him what happened and explaining that I'm not coming in this week. He's pretty good about these things in a slightly male self-absorbed sort of way but am now realising that his assistant reads all his emails so am hoping my miserable news won't be wending its way around the office tomorrow morning...

I don't think you need to tell work what's happened but if you have one person there who you trust and feel you can talk to it might be helpful.

orange here's a hand to hold if you need one. It sounds as though there are still lots of reasons to be hopeful - great that the bleeding seems to have stopped/slowed down and you're not in any pain. Come on bean, you can do it!

I'm feeling too miserable to deprive myself of booze and cakes but I might go for a run tomorrow if anyone wants to join me Hmm

katherine2008 · 03/01/2011 17:53

Hi Hadrian - nice to see you here - I've finally left the mc threads and feeling positive find myself here. Ladies you are all so brave and hopefully we'll all have positive outcomes in 2011. Hope you all enjoy your wine, cake and exercise!!

youremindmeofthebabe · 03/01/2011 17:53

the new thread for whatever we want to achieve

I'll join you hadrian, I'm going to go to pilates for the first time in a fortnight tomorrow, hopefully!

youremindmeofthebabe · 03/01/2011 17:55

Ooh, orange that's good news! Fingers crossed for you ((hugs))

hadrian · 03/01/2011 18:07

Hi katherine, nice to see you too. Am still lurking on a few MC threads but like you feel more positive and this feels like a very good place to be!

nickstermum · 03/01/2011 18:08

Orange the cb digis go from 1-2 weeks 2-3 weeks and then the highest is 3+ which would put you at 5 weeks since conception.

So if you POAs'd and its showing 2-3 then you know that its increasing? Mine showed at 3+ at 7 weeks pg. Send DH out for one from the supermarket, it might put your mind at rest :)

nickstermum · 03/01/2011 18:09

Why CB dont do them for the entire pg term i do not know!! If ever there was a gap in the market,,!

nickstermum · 03/01/2011 18:12

Orange that is a good level, one of the ladies over on another thread mc recently and her levels were in the low hundreds at the same weeks as you i think! sounds positive!

Sorry for many posts, reading and posting as i go!!

kat2504 · 03/01/2011 18:58

AARrrgh.
I don't know what is the matter with me, I can't seem to get a grip back on my feelings at the moment.
I have to go back to work tomorrow and that is the day my Mat leave ought to have started. I was doing loads better and I felt happy at xmas time, but the bfn this month has really hit me hard. I guess I thought I could cope with the mat leave not happening and the run up to the due date because I would be pregnant again by then and have something to hope for and look forward to,
Life is feeling a little bleak for me this week. It's been 5 months and I feel like I have exceeded my time allocation for feeling rubbish and ought to be back to normal by now. For the first time in a couple of months, I keep randomly crying. Is it normal to have such a setback in "getting over it"?

Sorry for the self indulgence.
hairy good to see you getting your positivity up.
hadrian I hope you colleagues respect your privacy. Glad you have got yourself some time off and your boss is being good about it.
nix top idea about CB! they should at least do them up to 12 weeks.
orange I have my fingers crossed for you. Sorry you didn't get to see a heartbeat but I think you have to be about 7 weeks for that, or at least past 6 weeks. Pleased that nix thinks your levels are encouraging, hopefully this will turn out to be a very good sign for you.

ochaye · 03/01/2011 19:13

kat - I think it's absolutely normal to have setbacks. And dates and circumstances will often start you thinking. Don't you worry. You'll look back on this time some day I'm sure and wonder what it was all about.

I've found this thread to be the best yet for getting me through the setbacks. I feel very lucky to have found you all.

Hi there mwlsen. I mc'd on 25th Dec and started SWI again today! It's completey unrealistic but I'm just in a "why not" frame of mind. I think I'm about to have a very long month!

orange - that sounds extremely positive about your blood results! Great news!!

YRMOTB - thanks for the new thread. I've signed up.

owl - will be thinking about you tomorrow. Fx times 10.

Big waves to everyone else!

I met up with my friend today who mc'd over New Year. She called the hospital to let them know and they asked her to come in for an appointment tomorrow to make sure everything's ok. She thinks I should do the same but I'm not sure. I think everything's happened naturally but I'm now starting to have doubts! What should I do?
