Well I think after all our chatting its about time we had a new thread, as the previous one was very lucky for us, lets hope this one remains just as lucky.

Remember ladies - Our time will come, but our bodies have to be ready, and we are all here to support each other.

For those new people please feel free to check out our Stats thread, to see some info about us and leave you details if you want to.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Hi Diddle, right, the reflexology. My friend went after her miscarriage (she isn't pregnant yet BTW) & said she felt better, so I thought I'd give it a try. Quite an interesting experience. Liver was flat, I was generally tired & my spleen is up to something. Felt strange after the first 2 sessions, almost like I had had a general anasthetic.

Spoke to a lady this am who is a reflexologist - she recommends reflexology AND accupuncture. I'm seeing her next week for coffee so will find out more. I think quite a few women have had success with these routes. HTH

Diddle · 26/09/2005 13:53

Thanks mojomummy, might book an appointment for it, it sounds good. and we have a local practce that do it. will investigate, is it expensive?

OP posts:
Mojomummy · 26/09/2005 14:00

well I paid £20. The first 1/2 hr was a consultation & then an hour spent tapping my feet. My pal said she had some painful areas, but I was disappointed that I didn't have any !

I'll be interested to know how you get on

Missmibaby · 26/09/2005 14:15

AF due - just tested -ve. That means i'm not right? Clutching at straws, but anyone else get -ve from First Response and a +ve from anohter brand?

Diddle · 26/09/2005 14:32

missmibaby - at the moment yes it is a negative, but as long as af stays away there is still hope, some people don't get a positive until a few days later, some weeks.

OP posts:
Coathanger · 26/09/2005 16:04

HOLD YER 'ORSES!!!!

Flippin' nora! You lot can talk!!!! Its taken me ages to catch up!!!

HC - I hope your migraine is lifting. Sorry Af is being a cow, but see it as a positive that its giving you a good clear out for conceiving next month

HK - lots and lots and lots of baby dust and luck for when you do get round to testing

Missy - Don't be too disheartened by a bfn if AF is still not turning up And, yes, I had a bfn from a First Response then had bfp with another test! But then the other was a couple of day later so it could have been the delay that made the diffence. Test in a few days

Mojo - No, I haven't had a similar experience, but MIL has. Just making sure they were positive it is nowt to worry about!! And lots and lots and lots of luck and baby dust to you, too, for weekend! Counting days with you

Xena - Oh wow!!! I am so pleased all is good with beanie!! I knew it would be (thats the witch in me!!) We must organise what we spoke about the other day!!

Well, I feel like s**t today! Cold is in full flow and to make things worse I had a smear done today. Bit worried about it as the nurse said I had blood around my cervix!? She asked me if I have odd bleeds throughout the month and I said no, but told her about MC. She thinks its nothing and might be related to hormones readjusting, but will probably have to have repeat smear I HATE SMEARS!!!!!

Diddle · 26/09/2005 16:26

coathanger - what a horrible day for you, i hate smears too. I need one, you have just reminded me. i must book one, the only problem is that i can only book on the day, and i never have a day off.

Hiya ladies,

I am back from my holiday. Had a really great time. I felt fine throughout. I have not heard anyhting more from the hospital and everything seems ok. We really chilled out. DH and I decided not to think too much about conceiving and will just see how things go. (Mind u we have not had any problems conceiving in the past) Going on a cruise is fab for long chats and baby dancing without any distractions. DH had nowhere to run too or distract him when I wanted to have serious talks. He has said that he would be most surprised if I wasn't p/g after all the fun we had. We will have to wait and see. Read a good book about pregnancy whilst away. We will be making some life style changes. Nothing too drastic, just vitamins and relaxation!

Have there been any + tests since I have been away?
Will try and read through the thread soon.
Bye......

Coathanger · 26/09/2005 16:28

Does your surgery not do a evening surgery? I've left mine far too long. I was 2 years overdue so a tad worried. Was due to have one whilst I was PG with DS3 so was told to wait. But I forgot Surely your surgery must have a plan for women who can't get to surgery!

Coathanger · 26/09/2005 16:30

Hi-Ya Peepee!!! Glad you had a fabby time (V V V BTW!!) You might find that you might get bfp this month seeing as you were so relaxed on hol! Lets hope it is, eh !

Diddle · 26/09/2005 16:41

coathanger - nope, no late nights, late for them is 6.00 and i don't finish until 6.30. I ahve to either see the nurse who finishes even earlier, or the doctor who's last appointment is 6.00. might call them to see if they have any special rules.

peepee - sounds like you had a fab time, what book did you read it sounds good, might try and get it. glad you got plenty of relaxation in. hope it has worked wonders for you.

HellKat · 26/09/2005 17:34

Hiya all.
Welcome back Peepee. Glad you had a lovely time.

Stop talking about smears you lot!!!! Shudders. I've got to book mine but hate them so much! I used to have one monthly because they found pre-cancerous cells years ago, had 2 colposcopys and then smears all the time. Still can't stand them.
And why oh why is it always me that's gets her "Lady lips" caught in that bloody speculum?

Diddle · 26/09/2005 17:40

Hellkat - you had me in stitches, can't say my "lady lips" ever get caught on the speculum, poor you

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 26/09/2005 17:49

Bath and early bed for me.

Still no AF..

Diddle · 26/09/2005 17:51

CP - very pleased to see AF is still on vacation lets hope she stays there, maybe she's on a world cruise it must be naughty step day today one of my mindies has been on it loads. little monkeys

hope you have a relaxing evening, sounds like you need it. Hope you don't mind me asking but why did you sack the cleaner, was she rubbish or just expensive?

OP posts:
HellKat · 26/09/2005 17:54

So glad you found that funny hun but it hurts like hell. I now dread the smear ending. EEwwwwww. it's always one side they catch too and before anyone asks, they teeny, not long dangling things so no idea how they can get caught!

Diddle · 26/09/2005 18:07

How strange Hellkat - sorry promise i wasn't laughing at you, just a funny image, i bet it did hurt like hell, knowing my luck now, it will happen to me, serves me right too.

OP posts:
HellKat · 26/09/2005 18:14

HellKat · 26/09/2005 18:26

Coathanger · 26/09/2005 18:28

Hellkat! Sorry, had to let out a little chuckle at your "lady lips" incident. It was your euphemism thaty made me laugh, not the thought of your with a speculum danglin' out yer knicks!!!!!

Sorry HK - forgive me.....please [begging emoticon!]

Coathanger · 26/09/2005 18:34
