A safe haven for those just off the mc rollercoaster and thinking about getting back on or are already on the TTC rollercoaster. Be warned these lovely ladies chat, and the thread moves lightening fast, but all are welcome to join in any time Smile

For those who have just mc'd, there is great info about your first cycle here

If you want to add yourself into the stats, just copy and paste the lot, change everyones CD (cycle day) if necessary and add yourself in.
WTF = first cycle after mc
WTTC = waiting to TTC
CD = cycle day
UCL = usual cycle length

Thanks MummyB. No way am I expelling the manjuice after only 30 minutes! For all I know, DH's wrigglers might be crap at swimming.. nope, they're staying in all night, thankyou. Would be nice to get the goo out in the morning though, but I have no idea what a kegal actually is..? Nix - I think my DH would have me sectioned if I did that... but hey - it worked, didn't it?? You will all come and visit me in the psychiatric ward, won't you??

Oh, I think the green lines are because I fooled the stupid computer by putting my bfps in. Anyway, it looks pretty, I'm not changing it. Will be interesting to see how it copes when the bfps turn bfn.

Wombat - sorry about the bfn, but I'm glad you coped with the emotions surrounding a newborn. I have that to look forward to, with 2 friends due in the next month or so.

mousebacon · 30/11/2010 12:17

Yaay!! Whoop for you nick I'm so thrilled for you! That was some temperature increase!

Hope you have a happy and uneventful 8 months ahead Grin Smile

Thanks for all the messages ladies. Tested with my last internet cheapy this morning and the line is slightly darker. Now waiting for a shipment from amazon of...(drum roll..)
15 x 10 miu pregnancy test strips
2 x clearblue digitals with conception thingy
1 x pop up pirate (not relevant but I like to share!)

Still in denial but fingers firmly crossed. Haven't mentioned anything to DH either.

Cremation tomorrow Sad so will test again after that. Maybe that will help DH along a little.

xxx mouse

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 30/11/2010 12:34

emoo I think it was 30 mins, left tcoyf back in costa rica so cant check. Kegals are exercises to tone the muscles of your pelvic floor ( the strip of muscle between your err fanny and bum) it's the muscle that you use to stop the flow of wee. There are easier done lying down at first, you just squeeze them in, hold, then relax. The boring bit is that you have to do it zillions of times. tcoyf also says that if you can't find EWCM you can do a few kegals first to squeeze some out.

I was jealous of the green lines, now I know they are BFP related I want them even more Grin

mouse dark lines are good lines Grin

HidingUnderTheTreeWithSanta · 30/11/2010 12:38

Well, it's finally started snowing my way just when I have gone and got a stinking cold and need to go out and buy lemon and honey.

Bloody weather! Also damn cold, getting in the way of my planned rampant swi. Snot just isn't sexy Angry

AandRMum · 30/11/2010 12:55

OMG OMG OMG you are soooo upduffed StNix it was the changing to sainthood which did it girl! Grin Grin Grin DH might be back in the good books then, huh? I guess no symptoms are the best symptoms!!!

MamaChristmas · 30/11/2010 13:04

Oh my god, I don't get on here for 16 hours and look what happens... CONGRATULATIONS my lovely Nix Smile Grin Smile

Daddysgirl welcome and sorry you are here. Afraid I can't help on the how long front as I bled heavily for weeks, it turns out the rapid fluctuation in hormones had caused polyps to grow and that forced the cervix open, but 2 weeks is pretty average, any longer, go get checked out.

Pink I suspected from our other thread that you were going through a really rough patch and you know that I understand, empathise and sympathise with every single horrible emotion and wanting and waiting and disappointment. I hope the counselling helps you to deal with all these emotions but you know where I am if you need me... just message me on FB hon... lots of love, see you back here when you're ready xxxx

dAncerandRudolfsMum · 30/11/2010 13:25

wombat how amazing very green making-- to see the bub at 20mins old!! You are pretty early on the testing front - fx it changes to a bfp very soon!

Pink it will happen. The statistics - whilst horribly genetic and with no understanding of the frustration of the wait - are with us. Get the need to detach - we are here when you need us.

hiding they say that nose/mouth and fanjo are linked - so on that basis a snotty nose is exactly the right thing! When I was about to go into labour with DD2 my yoga teacher told me to open my mouth and shout 'yes' at the crucial moment as an open mouth leads to an open baby canal - having not had a chance to tell dh of this conversation you can imagine his (and mw) surprise when I started shouting "yes, yes, yes' at the top of my lungs like a 'Herbal Essence' ad!!!

dAncerandRudolfsMum · 30/11/2010 13:26

or even generic!

HidingUnderTheTreeWithSanta · 30/11/2010 13:50

Just fell over laughing at the snotty nose = snotty lady bits conclusion Grin

Don't think I'll mention that to DP, might ruin the mood a bit I think.

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 30/11/2010 13:54

Uh oh... I am feeling crampy period pains but not bleeding. I just emailed the doctor to ask if I should be worried, (I have alrready started worrying though, just in case Grin) I am on cycle day 24. Ff says I am only 5 DPO so AF should be a few days away still but not sure if I can trust FF this month because of the time zone, climate change thing.

Can someone say something calming, because I am starting to panic...Confused

HidingUnderTheTreeWithSanta · 30/11/2010 14:05

In the ever calming words of Douglas Adams: 'Don't Panic'

Though to be fair I don't really know what is normal in your current situation but I do know that I always get period cramps up to a week before my AF starts so if you are only a few days away then it could just be pre-af cramping.

I know it must be hard but have a nice cup of tea and try really hard not to worry about it until you get a reply back from the dr.

MamaChristmas · 30/11/2010 14:08

Mummy to add to reassurance from Hiding I get af cramps up to 7 days before she shows her ugly head! I'm sure it's just your body preparing for af but likely to be a few days away yet... fx crossed chiccadee

Velvetstocking · 30/11/2010 14:31

woohoooo nix congrats!

Pink I'm feeling the same as you lovely which is why I havent been around much either.

Wombat33 · 30/11/2010 14:31

Mummy I think I've read somewhere that having a coil in can make AF more painful/crampy. Can anyone else confirm?? You've still got the post-op coil in haven't you?

On another note - I keep having dreamy moments about lovely yummy squidgey newborn GrinGrinGrin I want one Grin

snowisfallingallaroundme · 30/11/2010 14:34

Hey this is me! sunchild77 with my new Christmas snowy name. First time name change so Im quite excited!

Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit down too Velvet :(

I get crampy for the few days leading up to AF too...

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 30/11/2010 14:37

Sorry guys know I'm taking and not giving atm BUT have had a couple of twinges not screaming pain but certainly not nice and more than bad cramps, at what point would I have to go back to docs/hospital?

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 30/11/2010 14:39

Thanks everyone, it's reassuring to know you all get cramps a few days before AF

Sorry you are feeling down velvet love your xmas name by the way, have some choccies from me to put in your stocking

HidingUnderTheTreeWithSanta · 30/11/2010 14:50

Yum, yule log!

Sorry you are going through this loves. You should go into A&E if the pain gets so you can't deal with it (I know, a bit vague) or the bleeding is filling up a pad in an hour.

If you are worried then give your docs or the epu at your hospital a call for reasurance. I'm afraid that when I had my mc I was in quite a lot of pain but it all sorted itself out in the end. I would recomend a hot waterbottle and lots of chocolate!

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 30/11/2010 14:50

daddysgirl be on the watch for signs of infection which include
Pain
Chills
Fever
Smelly discharge

I think the difference between pain and a twinge is that twinges are like crampy period pains that are not persistent or getting worse.

If you do feel like you have an infection you will need antibiotics right away, if its more convenient for you can go to your gp or call the all night doctor, but if you start showing clear signs do whichever is faster as you do need antibiotics right away. Don't have a bath while you are still bleeding by the way as this can increase your risk of infection.

Hope you are feeling better, it could just be your uterus shrinking back to normal size but do keep an eye on it. Xxx

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 30/11/2010 14:55

PMSL at snot - fanjo = woman juice comment Grin

velvetstocking fab name lovely. Sorry you are feeling low too my lovely. It will happen for you xxxx

Its snowing here. has been all day WHOOP DS has gone out sledging with GPs and cousins!!

mummy dont panic lovely you had everything done by one of the most top notch specialists in the country, im sure its fixed and am sure everything will be ok. I dont know anything about a coil but any kind of interferance surely would cause a bit of cramping?

love get a hot water bottle on them lovely, it will help the blood flow faster too. if you cannot bear the pain and its total/doubled up agony i would suggest somethig stronger than paracetamol or if that still doesnt sort it get yourself off to A&E (i think they give gas/air/pethadene etc if it gets unbearable. (although not sure as i havent experienced it.

lovin the name snowysunchild

Thanks mama a bit in shock after those temp drops tbh and still quite not able to believe it. Just hope it sticks this time dancer&rudolpsmummy very imaginitive!! Funny lady Grin you do make me laugh!!

MamaChristmas · 30/11/2010 14:56

Daddysgirl Firstly, we've all been there and these q's are perfectly normal... ask away, that's what this thread is for...I had a lot of pain for 2/3 days following but nothing that a few ibuprofen/paracetemol combo and a hot water bottle couldn't help with. how many days have you been bleeding and has the pain been coming since the start of mc or has it just come on?

MamaChristmas · 30/11/2010 15:00

x-posts Mummy and second your advice too!

velvet, it's tough on our side of the fence hon, I guess that's why we have the other fred too! Big hugs Smile On the upside fabulous xmas name Grin

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 30/11/2010 15:20

Thanks guys, bleeding started on Sunday but twinges in the last hour. Can't take it easy as loads to do. I have eaten 3 snowballs which has helped a little plus aquired some cocodimol (sp)

snowysunchild · 30/11/2010 15:27

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 30/11/2010 15:31
