A safe haven for those just off the mc rollercoaster and thinking about getting back on or are already on the TTC rollercoaster. Be warned these lovely ladies chat, and the thread moves lightening fast, but all are welcome to join in any time Smile

For those who have just mc'd, there is great info about your first cycle here

If you want to add yourself into the stats, just copy and paste the lot, change everyones CD (cycle day) if necessary and add yourself in.
WTF = first cycle after mc
WTTC = waiting to TTC
CD = cycle day
UCL = usual cycle length

Just catching up....

mamap I read a long time ago that b vitamins need other b vitamins in order to be absorbed properly, so you should always take them with a multivitamin tablet or in combo form. Sorry can't remember where I got this info from, so it could be an urban myth.. But I have been downing the b6 alongside a multi vit.

mousebacon · 29/11/2010 17:34

Hi ladies, thanks for asking after me pink

There are strange goings on for me. I'm now 99% certain I'm 14dpo so, full of bravado POAS this morning (Internet cheapy) it was a teeny weeny positive so I dipped a FR and it's clearly positive.

Should be thrilled but 44 days post erpc am scared it's a molar pg or more retained product. Spoke to doctor who says most probable cause is a new pregnancy. Just don't want to get my hopes up. Not telling DH yet. Doctor says to test again in a fortnight then book in with the midwife.

Holy shit. Am in total shock. It took me a year to get pg with DS and another year with the last pregnancy.

All advice/anecdotes welcome xxxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmasy · 29/11/2010 17:43

mouse I know you're in shock but please let me do a tentative whoop! for you... I know this must be a worrying time, did you get a definite bfn after the erpc? If so then I think you can safely assume this is a new pg...in which case, congratulations! Grin Grin Grin

On a more practical note, any chance of getting in for an early scan to put your mind at rest? A fortnight seems a long time to wait to test again if you're 14dpo, why not test again at the start of next week then try ringing MWs direct?

In the meantime, try not to stress too much about it..big (((hugs))) x

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 29/11/2010 17:46

Oooooh mouse i am really excited for you and crossing everything!!

So please tell me you are planning to do several of those expensive tests to watch the number of weeks go up? And / or consider getting a blood test done privately? Two blood tests done 48 hours apart should show hcg levels doubling and rule out molar or retained tissue straight away.

Lovely news though [ grin] xxx

mousebacon · 29/11/2010 18:29

Ooh, hadn't thought of those pricey tests... good idea!

I'm sure I had a negative test but my mind's playing tricks on me now. Surely after 44 days it'll all be gone? Oh god, I hope this is it.

RudolfThePinkNosedReindeer · 29/11/2010 18:51

Well done mousey i agree blood tests are a giod idea if they'll give you them. Am starting to think that having a month off after mc was a bad idea, clearly missed my post mc fertile window after having achieved my one pg during the freak fertile time coming off the pill. Now stuck with ridiculous cycles during which I don't reckon I even ovulate. Marvellous.

MamaChristmas · 29/11/2010 18:59

Tentative whoop for Mousey, good advice from Mummy (with excellent new christmassy name)... get yourself some nice expensive sticks Smile.
Thanks also for the advice re: B Vit's mummy... makes sense and I seem to recall reading about needing others for absorption

Urban loving urbanholly go for it! Sorry I made you cry and hoooooray for having an understanding and very sensible boss, they are far and few round here!

More business stuff to do tonight!! Oh and MrMama has just cooked me wonderful homemade carbonara.... pasta and sauce all made by his fair hand and it was bloomin loverrrrrrrrly Grin

Velvetstocking · 29/11/2010 19:00

Hello all - hope you like my new xmas name too!

Sorry it didn't work out for you Dachs :(

Hairy sorry you are back here but you do sound incredibly positive.

Congrats mouse

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 29/11/2010 19:05

Hi ladies. I have had my first mc this morning. Had a faint pos test on sat and started bleeding yesterday but from what I saw today it has all gone. Have just seen this thread at the top of the convo list and thought I would come and say hi.

hairyfairylights · 29/11/2010 19:10

So sorry LoveBeingADaddys Girl and welcome.

hairyfairylights · 29/11/2010 19:11

and a woop to mousebacon

Emoo · 29/11/2010 19:30

Evening all...

I'm still testing positive, 11 days down the line from my MC. Comparing with the results you ladies have had, that seems like it might be normalish, but, as instructed by the EPAU, I called them today and have to go in for a scan to check it's all gone - urrrrghhh. Last thing I need.

Choccybick, Dachshund - so sorry to hear about AF.

Pink - hooray for nice undies and lots of chocolate! My mind is boggling at the friction burns - eek...

Izzy - well done for list-updating. I agree with the others, it's a lovely looking chart you've got there.. fingers crossed for you.

OrangeSnow - made me laugh. Had to explain that one to DD once. I am still feeling very fat after my MC too. I think I started eating for about six or seven two as soon as I got my BFP and now paying the price, although am trying to kid myself that it's just all hormones.

Ladybeen - glad you are sounding so upbeat, and that you had a lovely birthday, and positive consultant appt. It's good to hear stories like that of Pink's friend to keep our hopes up!

Nix - cheering you on... dunno what was going on with the rigor mortis temps, but the what the feck chart looks good, as (ignoring the little blip) you are still HOT at 16 dpo... hmmm exciting!

inbetweener - glad things seemed to have settled down a bit, still keeping fingers crossed for you. You could just tell your boss you have an important hospital appointment. If they want to know more, they'll have to ask you, and I agree with YROTB and others - just say gynaecological problem. In fact, I think that's what was written on my sick note, so it might be a standard phrase.

Hairy - sorry to hear about your ERPC, but glad you seem ready to go again, and better luck this time around. I liked the t'baubles in your name - reminded me of my grandparents speaking. But the hairy fairy is just as good.

Mousebacon - sounds like good news! Even if you didn't get a BFN post ERPC, perhaps you could wee on lots of cheapie sticks 2 days apart and line 'em up to see if it's getting darker? A fortnight is a long time to wait.

DaddysGirl - sorry for the reasonss you are here, but you have found a good place to lurk or talk. I'm newish too. They are lovely even if a bit mad!

Now to think of my Xmas name... it's nearly December after all!

mousebacon · 29/11/2010 19:32

Grin Grin

velveet hope oyu are ok lovely xxx

izz 10 dpo FAB...acu, bvits all helping ;)

I for one am in ORBIT today. I have had to tackle a big lardy nasty bully at work who has been making many many peoples lives hellish for a while.... sadly she is integral but today i have been sent into ORBIT with anger. I have work tonight to do, more stuff to do that involves dropping her in the shit (which i hate doing...but its unavoidable!) whilst at the same time juggling our new biggest, most high profile clients expectations.... am a little stressed as you can perhaps tell Angry I have senior management backing all the way, it just makes life hard and everything is a battle....leaving me exhausted! What makes it good is that the client have also put the boot in making my life a little more bearable Grin

(baublebabe - glad you got through it okxxxxx
hairy does santa not have a hairy triangle?

Lovin the names actually!

Af due tomorrow. no symptoms, except no AF. lots of montgomerys but had them anyway! not expecting anything i think temp increase is due to me feeling a bit under weather!! See what tomor holds.

BEE - how do i do all that when i can hear DS howling? and if i dont get to him quickly enough he will wake fully and not go back off? Grin xxx

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 29/11/2010 19:47

and of course waves to emooooooooooooooo

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 29/11/2010 19:47

and everyone else.......Confused

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 29/11/2010 19:59

hello to lovebeingadaddysgirl - so sorry about your mc Sad but welcome to the thread. It's a good (if insane) place to be under the circs, I don't know how I'd get through it without these lovely ladies x

nicks fx she doesn't show tomorrow. So when are you testing if she doesn't?!! I know what you mean re temps though, I was just thinking tonight that maybe I've actually got a slightly high temp and that is why chart is looking so lovely today Hmm

re temp taking: can you send dh in to sort ds out while you do the biz with the thermo?

emoo I hope (bizarrely) you get your bfn soon - when do you have to go for scan if not? I tested -ve pretty quickly (1 week) but I know that lots of people on here took longer, and I think my dsis was 3 weeks after hers. So don't worry too much - there probably isn't anything "retained" (ugh) but if you've been offered a scan then at least be reassured that you're being looked after.

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 29/11/2010 20:04

Oh and velvet - good name Grin

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 29/11/2010 21:15

bee FAB awesome news on the testing!!!!! Best get SWI'ing with all intent and purpose!

a good effort........!!

RudolfThePinkNosedReindeer · 29/11/2010 21:16

Hi lovebeing, sorry about your MC :(

Hey velvet nice to see you, hope you're doing ok xx

emoo sorry you're still positive. It's weird how the different NHS's are different, when I went back still positive and bleeding after 3 weeks they said they wouldn't scan me...... Fingers crossed there's nothing there.

nix sorry you're having a shite time at work. Well done you for sorting stuff out though, I'm sure all the other people that she's been winding up are v. grateful for your help too.

dachs thinking of you x

hairy good to have you back (although shame it's under these circumstances). I love the new chrimbo name!

I emailed the church today about bereavement counselling :( Feel like I've got to do something, cried all the way home from work today again - it's getting boring now 5 months on :( Got a smear test tomorrow, whoop, how much fun can you have Confused On the upside, they have agreed to also swab for 2 out of the 3 things the fertility consultant asked for. For the third I'd have to go to the GUM clinic which is infuriating that the NHS would do the test, just not at the doctors surgery but seeing as there's no way in hell I'm going to the GUM clinic, 2 out of 3 isn't bad I guess. Also, get this, apparently I'm 'too old' to have a chlamydia urine test so they'll have to swab for it - WTF??????

Am freeeeeezing so am off to bed with a hot water bottle. Night all xxxx

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 29/11/2010 21:20

izz not going to test i dont think. No symptoms....!! (then again no symptoms last pg also) maybe in a day or two when i have mastered the basics of using a fucking thermometre! If temps stay high then i may do....!! Seriously... no symptoms! Saggy boobs are still saggy and not NORKS like you get during pg, NOWT not a sausage!

TBH i am having such a shitty week thus far, with 3 possibly 4 days to go, my dads 65th bday tomorrow and i dont even have a card for him, its at the back of my mind... best way to be... so i dont get stressy about it! I desparately want a bfp more than anything (other than my ds being happy healthy and ACE) but being ultra busy has its good points around testing time!! In my mind i know it will be neg anyway !

DontEatOrangeSnow · 29/11/2010 21:56

Wow I missed LOADS!!

hairy I hope you don't need to be here long, am glad you're ready to try again

mouse that awesome news! I'd pay for the tests if able to put my mind at ease as best possible

emoo my fx for a BFN soon then you can get cracking

I actually managed to OPK at work using tinfoil as I forgot to take something to pee in! Faint line still but better than none :)

I had my wellbeing test at work and everything's grand, except low blood pressure. I celebrated by going to the gym and now sat with a beer Confused

nix so when are you testing?

pink glad you're getting the tests

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 29/11/2010 22:28
