Glittering seductively in the evening sun, crewed by swarthy slaves, waited on hand and foot by bare-chested manservants bearing a rudimentary form of gin.

We have golden temples decorated with hieroglyphs for sacrificial offerings (and woo from the soothsayers) if required, and The Pit is full of asses? milk.

So, put on your eye make-up that goes out as far as your ears and jewellery so weighty it leaves dents in your head and step out to survey the peasants on the banks.

Come join the 30s TTC if your womble is as ancient and crumbly as Tutankhamen! Egypt; the thread where everyone eventually gets to be a mummy whether they like it or not.

Ginfox · 11/11/2010 11:40

Don't worry Boo, she's probably at work. She wouldn't leave this lovely thread that she crafted so carefully from old toilet-roll tubes and sticky-backed plastic.

milanomum · 11/11/2010 11:49

I'm staying. It's probably a lot more upsetting for those who have been on the freds for a long time as there is most definitely an air of planned exodus about this so I'm sorry that they seem to have been snubbed more than anything. mylittlealpinepony put it well I think. For a moment I almost felt as if I should apologise for wanting to share my TTCing experience with new people, but then I got a grip.

Owlie are yooouuuu there?

Ginnygingin FANTASTIC news!!

AlpinePony · 11/11/2010 12:01

Don't please anyone dare even think about apologising for wanting to have a baby and for sharing those thoughts - the positive and shit ones with us. This is what the palace was all about and if I were to dig up the original thread it was all about the piss-take, the laughs and the support. There was certainly no "cliqueyness" going on. If some choose to snub, so be it, it's really not our problem - we are none of us going to see 14 again. It's indicative of THEM, not YOU(US) - as you deal with a 2 year old you've to show no fear and not back down! Wink

I will also get told off for this too - but, there have been a handful of women who've been hurt & upset for not "winning" yet are not doing the sechs. You can't pass your driving test if you don't get in the car... Also, IM(probably wrong)O - you can't say you've been TTC for x years if you've only done the sechs 4 months! Hmm It's also (IMWO) a piss-take on the NHS.

milanomum · 11/11/2010 12:05

:)

Getting back to important stuff, did I mention I shagged last night? CD 11. And it was good. ;)

AlpinePony · 11/11/2010 12:16

I am planning the sechs tonight. After I get back from the stables. To shower or not to shower? He says he likes the horse... but does he wish to imagine he's doing the horse? WinkHmm

I had the sechs on Tuesday night - am v pleased with self due to ft job and newborn. SECHS SECHS SECHS. Fackin' sex mad innit. There will be MORE sex at the weekend - whether we like it or not! Yep, the Tuesday sex was good too actually.

I see on fb that one of the PESH girls is queue-jumping! ShockGrin

Ivegotmrbitey · 11/11/2010 12:21

Lucky you milanomum and doesn'tsmelllikeapony

Can't believe we are on the 82nd message of an ancient egyptian fred already and noone has mentioned camel toes yet!

owlie you may have this as a fred themed name change if you wish?

owlie owlshoes owlgiblets owlboots owlcameltoes you must be having your lunch soon!

ginfox thank you for asp whipping, feel much better now Grin

MrsFC · 11/11/2010 12:22

I haven't been on here is a while, being a PESH, not a BESH, but I know the HB, Aries, salty & Lyra, and alpine too - although not so well.

I just wanted to say that I don't think the BESH girls wanted to cause any upset - in fact they were actively non agressive in their approach and wished you all well.

And ski, normally I like your direct approach, but I think your thinly veiled reference to another BESH is a little harsh - particularly when you were a FESH when the said BESH was really going through the mill.

InTheSunshine · 11/11/2010 12:23

Thank fuck you guys have stayed!! Gin gin gin I am SO happy for you! A baybee win for our Gin. Hurrah. Am just about to get needles stuck in me but will return later. I hope the Owl shows up Confused

LadyGoneGaga · 11/11/2010 12:24

Who, who? Has Honeymoo STILL not laid then?

Enjoy the sechs, Smackthepony. You are reminding me of that hilarious Ginuwine song . I've gone right off it since my mid-cycle marathon. Poor MrG. Going to have to chuck one in tonight to reassure him I still loves him.

Although he's not allowed near the boobs. Too sore see.

AlpinePony · 11/11/2010 12:27

MrsFC I'm afraid I don't know whom you're referring to. Confused Honestly have no idea.

Camel toes? Surely that goes without saying
: baby weight + breeches = camel-toe.

Truffkin · 11/11/2010 12:27

Hello BESHeramas, I go AWOL for one night and an episode of Grange Hill appears in the place of a well pitched (and tres amusant WOL) new fred. Buggeration. Am also going to apologise for memememememeness now, but pliz to indulge, I think I'm losing the plot.

So in the spirit of being a genuine mentalist I'm CD 18 and have the following concerns:

  1. my temp increased slightly this morning but not enough for me to think it was a post-OV shift, so I took it another 3 times in the space of 5 minutes

  2. I was excited to discover muchos eggwhite on Tuesday but TGB was in a mood because his team lost and the new Call of Duty is rubbish so I failed to manage teh sechs

  3. I cannot detect eggwhite today

  4. I have refused to enter my temp into FF this morning and am 'waiting to see what tomorrow's is to see which one of the four available to me from this morning is the best one to record'

I am clearly trying to trick my body into reversing ovulation from yesterday, re-ovulating today so I can jump TGB this evening and win me a baybee. I know this is menkul of the highest order and I should just accept that we didn't do IT on the actual day of laying, but that the 2 sexy times from Sunday and Monday might be enough. and if it's not enough (as the frequent and well timed escapades from last month also weren't) then we'll just have to try a lot harder next time.

Am annoyed with us for not trying hard enough this week. Good God, I need a large Gin and several Marlborough (yes, yes, the red ones, I'm a DHB for now) and to properly HTFU.

Someone slap me.
Hard.
With a kipper.

Truffkin · 11/11/2010 12:30

God, sorry Ginyfoxface I was so mememeing that I didn't congratulmulate you on your win. Now, 2 years you say, what did you do differently this time that I could take notes about and copy ?

AlpinePony · 11/11/2010 12:33

truff I'm going to slap you for trying to get diffed on the day you ovulate. Unless your partner's swimmers are the Michael Phelps of the sperm-world, they need to be off the blocks a few days beforehand and waiting before your ovary spits out a rapidly shrivelling egg which poofs in to dust in 1 minutes. Try to keep your plumbing spunky all month. Although obviously if you wish to fuel the menkul temping & charting & ff is an excellent means of going about it! Grin

PerfectDromedary · 11/11/2010 12:33

Ski I really don't want to stir up another shit-storm, but please be careful about how you judge other people's ability to conceive/wasting of NHS time. Especially when you've come back for your second dose of ttc madness, having concieved and given birth to a gorgeous baby in the time some people on the boards have spent trying.

TTC pain is TTC pain, however it is experienced. No one was trying to inflict guilt on those who have just started talking about their attempts to concieve; just that they didn't feel this board was their spiritual home any more.

AlpinePony · 11/11/2010 12:37

PD - You are, as is everyone, perfectly entitled to their own opinion. I however, think it's taking the piss to ask the NHS for help if you've only actually tried for 3 months. If that's controversial so be it.

I have already been driven out of the bloody butterdish by such comments as "you are pregnant" and the implication that I "didn't deserve it" - and now I don't deserve two? Hmm I have said before, there is some real cliqueyness going on with the current bunch of PESHes which has driven more than one person out.

Is there a set time limit I should wait before TTC again so as not to offend those who've been TTC longer?

PrincessBoo · 11/11/2010 12:39

MrsFC Thanks for popping in from the deli. I can only speak for myself and say that during last night's events I felt both sad and guilty.

As it is difficult to demonstrate a tone of voice on the net some of the posts were a little ambiguous, and I felt a little at sea with it all, so I sought clarification and was given it, both on the board and privately. I completely understand why those people have decided to leave, and although stil sad am no longer feeling guilty.

I am not going to discuss this further from now on- it feels disrespectful to the times we have shared with those who have decided to leave.

Ivegotmrbitey · 11/11/2010 12:39

forgive my naiveity truff but if the swimmers were (ahem) in situ on monday then egg white on tuesday indicates good timing to me? ladygotphdincharting will know the answer to this - it may be where I am going wrong...

Ginfox · 11/11/2010 12:41

It was the usual approach Truffers - decide to have a month off of TTC, got pissed lots, drank coffee lots, had as many hot baths as I could etc. Bingo. Now all I have to do is try not to menkul too much about the amount of drinking I did in the last few weeks whilst blissfully unaware that I was diffed.

Headbanger · 11/11/2010 12:45

I promised myself that I wouldn't do this, but for the record:

I went to the GP after two months of trying. The conversation went like this:

Me: Blimey doc, I have started bleeding for ten days mid-cycle! What the FUCK, man!

Doc: I see you can't be arsed to get a smear test either?

Me:

Doc: Hm. What contraception do you use?

Me: Nuffink, now you ask.

Doc: Oh? Trying for a baby are we? How long have you been off the Pill?

Me: Oooo, 'bout 18 months, but we've only been properly trying for two, so, you know...

Doc: And are you having sex 2 or 3 times a week?

Me: My husband's a copper! Are you have a fucking laugh mate?!

Doc: Fair play. Well - You need a smear, and you ought to get your hormones tested. I'll send you both for the full set, I think.

Me: Erm. Really?

Doc:

Ivegotmrbitey · 11/11/2010 12:47

owlie fred is top of most active in case the barge is whizzing along the nile and you can't catch up but are shouting plaintively from the banks

laurielou · 11/11/2010 12:49

If there are no more BESH's then I give up...

Like ski I'm one of the original 30's TTC as we were in the old days. I don't know what I'd have done without my hilarious / forthright / rude / sweary / pervy / uber supportive BESH/PESH/FESH's. Yes, some come & go, some you gel with more than others. But that's life. I for one would be vay, vay sad to see the end of such a group. Sad

maswera · 11/11/2010 12:50
Casserole · 11/11/2010 12:55

I just don't think any good is going to come out of going over and over this on here. People are just going to get even more hurt, and then those who do still want to post on here will drift away.

Can we not just leave it alone now? Everyone do what they need to, where they want to, whatever helps them? This whole road is painful enough.

AlpinePony · 11/11/2010 12:56

You're right Cass.

PrincessBoo · 11/11/2010 12:56

It isn;t ending LaurieLoo spirit of the BESH is live and kicking and I think there are still some that need this place.

But I do want to know where the fucking fuck Owlie is.
