Glittering seductively in the evening sun, crewed by swarthy slaves, waited on hand and foot by bare-chested manservants bearing a rudimentary form of gin.

We have golden temples decorated with hieroglyphs for sacrificial offerings (and woo from the soothsayers) if required, and The Pit is full of asses? milk.

So, put on your eye make-up that goes out as far as your ears and jewellery so weighty it leaves dents in your head and step out to survey the peasants on the banks.

Yes sunny it was at about 6.30 this morning. Pre child I would have got up to watch it but these days if I'm asleep I'm staying that way till I have to get up!

InTheSunshine · 22/12/2010 09:59

Well that big moon theory worked Boo the droid started lady night 2 fecking days early. Bollocks. MS is having a jizz test next week and I have my date in Jan at the gyne clinic so I'll wait for the results of that.

On the positive side I am still working from home so am nice & warm.

kat2504 · 22/12/2010 10:10

Morning all. I am ignoring my need to go Xmas shopping and need to clean bathroom.
Sorry to hear about droidage on here. Most unfestive of it. Mine is due on new years eve so that should be a fun night out on nurofen to look forward to.
Have a home made mince pie. They are flavoured with grand marnier!

PrincessBoo · 22/12/2010 10:22

Took me 3 attempts to get on this thread past the bloody Malware. Bah.

Anyway - I have taken annual leave today and am now home for the holidays. Wahey!

Last night our mates (who are also our next door neighbours, which is handy) had a Solstice celebration and one of the kids (6 year old) rubbed my belly and said 'I can see you're having a baby Auntie Boo'. It didn't upset me because I was sticking out my belly at the time but I think I really must start eating more healthily after Saturday - regardles of ttc.

owlbooty · 22/12/2010 10:58

Yes - has Firefox gone mental? It seems suddenly convinced MN is evil incarnate (it may be right).

BOOOOOM

I have had a pig flu jab and now my arm is sore but no other ill effects. Except a craving for bacon butties. Mmm, bacon.

AlpinePony · 22/12/2010 11:06

I saw a thread this morning which seemed to suggest that MN is under attack from Malware. :( I've got some evil stuff on my machine right now which I just can't get rid of - I'd disable java completely except I need it for work. Ugh.

I've replenished the Baileys for xmas so I think we're good to go. Because we had xmas last week I'm going to do Indian on saturday.

Fackin' 'ell boo Shock - what an outrageous prancey bitch! Tell her to stick her pagan rituals up her arse or you'll put a spell on her and make her pubes grow 3' long! Oh, I see is mate! Double Shock !

sunshine Strange. Yes. Grin Sorry about droid. :(

PrincessBoo · 22/12/2010 13:30

Alps No - it was only a 6 year old being candid! I wasn't upset - kids say what they see - and I am truly overweight and not denying it - it's a fact!

Ivegotmrbitey · 22/12/2010 15:12

boo my house smells amazing thank you for ginger bread link! Have also made vanilla shortbread which I am willing to share because I have accidentally made an obscene amount I am nice and it is Christmas Xmas Smile

Also, not wanting to fuel menkul or owt but my god-daughter gave me a toy and pointed at my middle and said "for the baybee". I gave a rueful laugh as could feel the droid on it's way but next month found myself diffed. So there. They know fo' sho'.

PrincessBoo · 22/12/2010 17:04

No menkul to fuel bitmyboobs , I hasn't had sechs since the droid. But yeah - maybe she was psychic - she's a cool dudette so you never know!

Glad you like the gingerbread it is stickytastic isn't it? Xmas Smile

In malware news I had to switch to IE so I could post on my beloved thread. Pah.

PrincessBoo · 22/12/2010 17:05

oh and pls to provide link for the vanilla shortbread?

PrincessBoo · 22/12/2010 18:22

Fred is fixed (or Firefox is). Yay!

Ariesgirl · 22/12/2010 18:36

Thank fuck it wasn't just my computer!

Seems to be fixed now.

Ariesgirl · 22/12/2010 18:38

Weird weird weird about everyone having a hurty, nasty droid. Do you think it has something to do with the eclipse? Do you think droids coinciding with full moons are worse?

I am ill. Give me sympaffi :(

PrincessBoo · 22/12/2010 20:08

Yes

What sort of ill are you Ariel?

Ariesgirl · 22/12/2010 20:27

I have flu (

No, I have a cold I caught from my idiot husband. He has lain on a sofa for two days feeling most sorry for himself. I'm worse, naturally.

What have you got in there? Any Merlot

PrincessBoo · 22/12/2010 20:35

We don't keep wine in the medicine cupboard Rie but we do have lemons, honey and whisky elsewhere if you fancy a hot toddy Grin? MrBoo just made me one as I am feeling a bit unwell meself and am trying to keep it at bay. Have had some echinacea this morning and a whopping great vitamin tablet too.

InTheSunshine · 22/12/2010 21:15

MS also has the start of man flu. He is lying on the sofa under my fluffy blanket (which he laughs at normally!) I have just been to DHB boxing / circuits class which made me feel better about early droid.

I think there must be a link wiv moon / droid. Only I'm not sure what Confused

Rie have some whiskey / brandy / ginger wine

Bitey shortbread sounds immense

PrincessBoo · 22/12/2010 22:55

Large moon is closer. Our bodies have a high water content. Moon governs tidal flow. If I was a physicist I may be able to make some kind of connection. Or it may just be woo. But I like woo.

BrownB · 23/12/2010 07:15

Seems my baby is falling out. Fuckity fuck fuck. Am a tiny bit upset. Sad Does anyone know of a good book about miscarriage? Or should I say repeated miscarriages?

Casserole · 23/12/2010 08:17

Oh BrownB Sad

I'm so sorry. Is that a definite? How many weeks are you? Have you seen anyone?

kat2504 · 23/12/2010 08:19

Oh no brown I'm sorry that's really awful. Don't know much about the book, did see one in waterstones recently but can't remember the author. Try an amazon search. Someone else on the mc Fred got a book recently from amazon.
Not that iit will make you feel better now, but are you eligible for testing yet? If so it might make you more positive when the time comes to try again.
Sending much sympathy, hope it is not a long dragged out one for you and you have lots of support at home.

LadyGoneGaga · 23/12/2010 08:34

I'm so sorry, BrownB - not fair, is it. And what a shit time of year for it to happen. I hope you are seeing someone to check you over and make sure you're ok physically.

I bought this book. I found it really helpful for identifying the type of mc you have had, your risk profile and what you can do about it. Made me feel like I was doing something - even though was only taking aspirin.

BrownB · 23/12/2010 09:05

Look - I don't want to put everyone on a downer just before Christmas. Bad enough that I'm there without dragging loads of other bods with me... So feel free to skim/avoid/ignore this little rant.

In brief - I started spotting on the weekend. Went to see the doctor on Monday and had a scan yesterday. I am certain about my dates as I've been charting, and should be 8 weeks +2 days. The baby was there and was at 6 weeks ±5 days growth with no heartbeat. The doctor smirked and nodded patronisingly when I said that I was certain of my dates. She said that it was too early to tell if it was viable as all looked perfectly normal for 6 weeks.

After her prodding around with the dildo-cam, am now bleeding really heavily, the cramping is much worse and am getting clots. The fact is that if I'm 8 weeks pregnant, then seeing a baby that stopped growing at 6 weeks is a pretty bad sign. As is bleeding and cramping. They just don't have the balls to say it. My breasts feel deflated and as for my mood... well. Am sure I don't need to spell that part out. Gutted. It took me 13 months since the last miscarriage to get updiffed. Am seriously upset.

owlbooty · 23/12/2010 09:24

Oh Brown :( :( :( Fucking hell. Am so sorry.

AlpinePony · 23/12/2010 09:25

boo Sorry Blush - I missed the bit about her being 6 years old and therefore would like to withdraw my comments about violence and bitchiness. Someone once asked me to accompany their child up on a chairlift skiing. The little cherub turned to me and said "why are you so fat? you look like a man" - it was very tempting to let go and have him plunge to his death on the rocks below... Wink Damn their brutal honesty!

Oh brown :( - I'm so sorry, that's not very festive is it? Although are you sure? I thought braaaaahn was "OK"? Obviously the chances of getting someone to have a root around and check today or tomorrow are remote. You must take FESH guidance and roll up to the EPU demanding that they dildocam you up.
