Hi Everyone,
We are ttc only have been for couple of months but a have a short cycle of 18 days (well last month was 25days so fonders crossed its sorting itself out)
I am so desperate to concieve. I dont care when it is. I want a baby! Grin

321sanitygone · 02/11/2010 19:23

Hi Storm.
I have two little boys already. I am slightly insane as the youngest is only 8 months but he and the eldest have a 5 yr gap between them and it was hard going so we decided a small gap would be better this time. Only officially started trying last night hehe.
i am trying to take a reallychilled out approach and jsut let it be. I'm not tracking my cycle or anything and i'm going to try my hardest not to take any early pregnancy tests.

Hi cosysocks and mummyinwaiting thanks all 3 of you for joining me was worrying it might get a bit lonely in here lol

321 it's interesting you have a five year age gap. I say this as a big concern of mine is that ds is 4 (5 in new year) and I'm stressing about the age gap. Whats it like? that's why I am hope to conceive straight away(trying to convince dp to try before jan).

catmad2010 · 03/11/2010 18:05

Hi I am also TTC#1, been off the pill sinc August, started trying beginning of Sept. Not charting, not changing anything other than amount of SWI! Grin I have had one AF, and ovulation symptoms in mid Sept but nothing else of note to report! Am trying to be chilled out but it's difficult as it's something I so badly want, so I'm trying to save charting in earnest etc until a bit later, and when I have a more consisten cycle.

Good luck everyone! Grin

StormBird · 03/11/2010 19:30

Hi everyone,

321 after 4 months of totally obsessing over this TTC lark I've had no luck so like you have decided I'm going to try and take it a bit easier, make it a bit more fun fr me and DP and generally just relax.

Any way, we had a termination back in may at 15wks (my first pregnancy) due to abnormalities which meant our baby was 'incompatible with life' - so we have been TTC pretty much as soon as I was physically able. It was a very hard decision but the best one for both us and our baby.

I'm currently on CD27 so expecting AF any time soon.

Catmad its not easy to remain sane when you are trying to conceive, trust me.

I'm charting and also using the CBFM, its taught me lots about myself over the months.

It'll be nice to get to know you all.

Good Luck xx

catmad2010 · 03/11/2010 19:45

StormBird, so sorry to hear of your termination, a decision which was very brave and I admire you for. Here's wishing you lots of luck with your TTC.

Don't worry, I am realistic as I have already had a "insanity" blip the first month of TTC when I got massively stressed (didn't sleep for a week, worried and worried, cried, overthought and sweated about not doing enough SWI, cried a bit more) when realised I was ovulating, nagged and nagged DH into SWI but it felt so ridiculous and mechanical we fell about laughing and that was the end of that! (every time I giggled it pushed "him" out....quite amusing really Grin). After that I've tried to be a bit more relaxed as I couldn't live like that for months on end, which has worked so far, but I do have a gnawing panic feeling whenever I think about the possibility of it never happening. We're both now enjoying the SWI much more and it feels more like fun....long may that last!

Good luck to everyone, nice to have a new thread.

nannyl · 03/11/2010 20:09

me!!

Im aiming for a September baby (or later)

HillyMcGrew · 03/11/2010 20:38

Gosh, it looks friendly in here, may I join?

cosysocks · 04/11/2010 09:20

Im new to the conception boards so i'm off to look up acronyms......

cosysocks · 04/11/2010 09:25

SWI made me laugh out loud!!! AF??? not on the list.

321sanitygone · 04/11/2010 14:36

Sorry I'm so pants at keeping up with threads even my own doh!
AF is aunt flo as in period.

Cosy I'll be totally honest it was a shock to the system! It was literqally like being a first time mum all over again. My 5 yr old is so self sufficient, he dresses himself makes his own toast etc etc that this wrigglnig little pink thing that just cried at me took some getting used to. However there is definitely somethnig to be said for having a child already who understands that he is going to have a little brother and that he cant jab him in the eye feed him chocolate or generally be rough with him. It's a bit of a balancing act remembering to trat him as a big boy and my youngest as a little boy. I do sometiems expect too much of te baby or not enough of the 5yro lol but i can't be doing too badly as they both adore each other and my eldest is a fabulous baby entertainer when i need to go and peel some potatoes or something!
Storm how brave. Thankfully its something i've not had to go through but you have my total admiration for getting through it in one piece. I wish you all lots of luck but just that little bit more in your direction. Always have been a suc ker for a happy ending. xxx

catmad2010 · 09/11/2010 20:40

I noticed your Bump Catmad - its been v. quiet in here.

Well I'm pleased to announce that this AM we got our BFP. 2-3 weeks on a CB Digi. Excited and scared all at the same time.

So a short stay for me, but I wish you all the best of luck.

catmad2010 · 10/11/2010 08:45

Wow! Massive congratulations StormBird! Thrilled for you, good luck with the rest of your pg Grin

No such exciting news from me, AF stopped a few days ago so getting ready to SWI again over next few weeks! Grin

kateAmyJ · 10/11/2010 19:46

Hi Everyone.

Mind if I join the board.

Huge congrats Stormbird. Best wishes for the rest of your pg.

New around here and like cosysocks keep having to look everything up....lol

My DH has just had a vasectomy reversal and we are just starting TTC. Have been pretty stressed out about it this week, but I am hoping I will calm down a bit when the fact that after many many months of waiting we are finally in the position to be able to TTC.

CazandBelle · 10/11/2010 19:53

Nervously saying hello. :) I came off the pill last week, and starting to TTC this month. We're hoping for a 2011 baby. This will be our 2nd.

QuietTiger · 17/11/2010 17:24

I'll definitely join this one. :) We're TTC #1. I've just had an op to remove an ovarian cyst, found when I went to get my merina coil removed...

Coil was removed during the OP 10 days ago, DH and I are trying to be "good" because of my stitches and healing, but it's not exactly working IYGWIM... Blush. The surgeon said that because of the type of Op I had there had been evidence in studies of increased fertility within the 1st 6 weeks after the op so to use contraception... Wink No sign of AF so far and it doesn't seem to be appearing...

hi
i'd like to join this thread - hopefully bring some luck and a shared ambition. been TTC#1 for 9 months. Had a CP in July - disappointing and just getting back on the wagon with my new fertility monitor.
Fingers crossed for good results soon.
Hopefully will come back from my holiday in a couple of weeks with a BFP!

Good luck ladies!!

BondiBaby · 17/11/2010 21:15

Hi All, Been TTC for 18mths. Feeling very low about it and frustrated. Drs have said there is nothing wrong with us.... Starting a course of Clomid next month in the hope that will increase our chances. I am ovulating but this is apparently something they try before reverting to IVF Would LOVE a 2011 baby. All the best to you all.

louby86 · 19/11/2010 22:02

Hi everyone, I'd like to join this thread - we're TTC our 1st after getting married in August. Had my pre-conception check up with my GP, now off pill, on folic acid and waiting to get a regular cycle, not sure how long it will take though!
