Hi Frollies/Droiks Wink

I'm in the UK!! Whoop, whoop! Same as all of you :) We're back this weekend for Mr.F's best friend's wedding tomorrow. We flew over night and landed at 6 this morning so have had a day of driving from Heathrow down to Somerset via a big shopping centre in Bristol. I was in my element in Boots, stocking up on all of my old faves and also picked up a few bargains in the Monsoon and HMV sales. I have also been over indulging on all of my old favourite foods and infact three hours after having got off the plane I had eaten a fry up at a service station, a wispa, a twirl and a bag of salt and vinegar hula hoops- whoopsie! I also bought six gossip mags to take back to Honkers with me as they cost a fortune out there! I am loving the autumnal weather- this is so my favourite time of the year and I really miss it!

I think I'll have time to catch up properly later when the boys have drinking bonding time and a run through of tomorrow but just incase I don't I just wanted to say hi :)

Glad to see you back womanly hope you're feeling ok? by the way, the GI diet has been working wonders- I have lost 7lbs and never feel hungry. So thanks so much for helping me out (obviously I am off the diet this weekend!)

kaloki I was thinking the exact same thing the other day, I think it was only you who was here when I joined and bella and evil joined at a similar time to me or just after. It WILL happen for us! I really hope the results ar eback for you tomorrow as you have been so patient through all of this :(

Glad you're doing well on the higher dose garden Fingers crossed that you don't get spiky ovaries this time! I bet you are loving your day at home in all of this rain!

Go you with the housework plan josie! I'm the same as raspberry and do much less around the house than Mr. F so that wouldn't work with me either. Hope your house is spotless when you get in :)

Enjoy your weekend of biking raspberry!

Come back soon bella and let us know how you are getting on xx

Enjoy your night out alien! You definitely deserve some cocktails after all of your exercise this week- hope you found a suitably sexy outfit. Ministry of waxing is so the best isn't it?! It was the best wax I have ever had! I liked it so much that I bought a package of six so I get one free.

toria hope you're doing ok sweet. It's so good that your DH is taking an interest in the Emma Cannon book-bet your extra specially glad to have him home after all thats happened. Hope your family are doing ok xx

Everything crossed for you evil :)

Hop eyou got the essay handed in cave- yep just give me a shout if you need anything essay related as the year 13's are expected to write really hard, university standard academic essays so can easily send you a few bits on 'formal requirements'

Sorry to all who I have missed- where are you hiding lanky?!

Love to all

I can bite!!!!!! GrinGrinGrin. I have miraculously cured myself!!!!

I have been reading about wisdom tooth extraction (gruesome to me) and in my fear, have learned to chew again!!! My left teeth have just touched for the first time in 2 weeks! The pressure feels fantastic! Thanks you to everyone who has given me sympathy over the last couple of weeks (I think that'll literally be everyone on here, you've all been great thanks), it really helped me get through it (I know it wasn't like I was majorly ill but it was difficult for me Grin)

Glad you're enjoying the weather MissFlick, I hate miserable wet weather but get excited for christmas and for bringing horsey in overnight so quite like this time of year too, never thought I'd say that!

Kaloki · 01/10/2010 17:09

I never made it to the doctors today, was up all night with cramps. Finally got to bed at 6am and figured I'd just turn my alarm off. So will wait till Monday - tbh. the results probably aren't there yet anyway.

Jut had a look at the first frolickers thread I was on. I'm the only one left from when I joined Confused And to think I was expecting this to be so easy :(

gardenpixie · 01/10/2010 17:21

Kaloki the cramps sound terrible - I do hope you're OK lovely. Sending tea and cake your way .... and a little glass of fizz in case you're up to it.

I know I haven't been on the thread for that long but I do relate to the feeling of thinking falling pg would be so easy and then still not being up the duff years later (coming up to two and a half yrs for me and Mr G...) I suppose once we have our little ones this horridness will all fade away but it's just not nice having to live through it first. And not helped if you are feeling crampy and horrible on top of it all. I do hope you feel better soon xx

Miss Flick in the UK hurrah hurrah! I don't live anywhere near Bristol but I'm excited anyway! I feel we should pour ourselves some wine later and drink / chat in real time!

Womanly let's hope next week holds better news for all Frollies - we are due some serious BFP action I reckon!

Right, best dash as I have a pres to write before cooking dinner; I want to feed Mr G up before we start our shaggathon at the weekend Wink

MissFlick · 01/10/2010 17:45

garden I second that idea. The boys have all left to play golf Hmm very suspicious seeing as it is 5.30 and raining! So I am chilling in my hotel room waiting for other guests (girls!) to arrive before we have dinner at 8. I must exercise restraint or I can just see my self with a raging hangover at the wedding tomorrow which i will be very cross about- I just know myself too well and know I am likely to get too drunkexcited tonight!

kaloki I can relate a little to how you feel as well. I came off my pill a year ago and although I did take a break in TTC I certainly expected to have a baby by now and as it stands at the minute my cycles are still not even regular having been off the pill for a year. Really hope you are on the mend soon- have you rescheduled your appointment?

Am thrilled for you that your tooth is on the mend J! Keep practicing on some nice soft foods.

HRHCavey · 01/10/2010 20:26

Greetings on this wet and windy Friday night!

MissFlick back in th UK!!!!! How exciting! Whereabouts in Somerset are you? I lived in Bristol for 18 years. Did you go shopping ar The Mall (HUGE out of town shopping centre) or Cabot Circus (city centre shopping area)?

Kaloki how awful for you! I hope you are feeling a little better now. Do you have some strong painkillers and a hot water bottle for the time being? (((Hugs))) to you.

Josie glad that you're slowly getting better. Wisdom teeth can be a biatch! I only have a top set (a wierd genetic fluke means my brother only has a bottom set!) and they are growing at an outward angle - towards my cheeks. My dentist keeps saying that they'll need to come out, but that until they start causing me real problems he'll leave them alone. He's been saying that for 10 years now!

My essay is pretty much finished. I have to go to the college tomorrow for an introduction day, with a few workshops on writing and research methods. it is a god awful early start as I have to be there at 9.30 and its a 2 hour drive!
Then tomorrow night DH and I are seeing Jimmy Carr live in Cambridge, and on Sunday my dance teacher has given me tickets to a local dance competition so that I can see what it's all about.

Happy weekend everyone!

maamalady · 01/10/2010 22:00

ERTD arrived today, along with a plummeting temperature. I'm :( that I'm not pregnant, but I am very very :) that this cycle has been pretty average - 27 days is MUCH better than 200 odd! Back to the bottom of the list, and fingers crossed for next time...

V quick post. Think I've mentioned that I always try to avoid talking to DP too much about the whole ttc issue. Managed to pour my heart out to him tonight after acupuncturist saying I need to let him in more and asked him if he really wanted a baby as I wasn't sure if it was just me pushing for it but he responded "yes, it would be really nice". He also said that we still have so many options so I shouldn't give up and if we need IVF, its not too expensive to go private and I should try and keep focussed on the possibilities. Might not sound like much but for my DP that is a huge outpouring of emotion, so have been feeling like a huge weight is lifted and so much more positive. Now I just need to get my body on board. Back tomorrow to catch up properly, happy weekends to all.

highheelsandequations · 01/10/2010 22:09

ast = last, maybe I've had more wine than I thought...

HRHCavey · 01/10/2010 22:19

highheels glad you managed to have a chat with your DH. Hope it has made you feel a little better.

Evil sorry about ERTD, but hurrah for the short cycle!

So, what did we all think of the first night of Strictly? Personally I thought Matt and Pamela were fab, Paul was (predictably) bad (and may get in trouble for his comment to Craig Shock) and Goldie was a tad disapointing.

There is an SCD thread here if anyone wants to join in the chat.

TomboyWife · 01/10/2010 22:20

Evening ladies!

Josie are you still going to have that tooth pulled, or are you thinking of giving it a miss now you're feeling better? I had mine pulled under a general anaesthetic, but the bottom ones were still buried in my jaw so I'm not sure if keeping me awake would've been an option even if I'd wanted it. Which I didn't.

Kaloki I hope you're feeling better. Those cramps sound like a nightmare. Also, I can completely relate to the thinking it would all be so easy. DH and I are coming up to a year of actively TTC and while I'm not (yet) to the point of bursting into tears when I hear other people are pg, the whole business is getting old fast.

evil sorry to hear about ERTD. Sad But as you said, at least your cycles are more regular now.

Our dog was spayed today and is currently under the duvet with DH, whimpering and looking utterly forlorn. There's no question in my mind that spaying her was the right choice, but I spent all day being terrified something would go wrong with the op, and now I'm spending the evening feeling guilty that the poor dog's traumatised and in pain. Oh well, good practice for feeling guilty about the pain of future children, I guess. Confused

gardenpixie · 01/10/2010 22:48

Tomboy you def did the right thing for the hound - although it IS terrible when they are recovering from it all... Glad there are duvet snuggles going on!

Highheels that's great about your DH - so much easier to know that they are there for you than feeling like it is all on your shoulders. And if he is not someone who is normally emotionally open, the fact that he has thought about things like IVF etc - even though I'm sure you won't need them - means he must really want to have little ones

Evil so sorry to hear about ERTD but like you said, very promising that your cycles have sorted themselves out. Here's to next month!

HRH I'm afraid I didn't get to watch strictly but am planning to tomorrow!

Mr Garden is out with our neighbour tonight (whose wife fell pg 5 months ago by accident ... by accident ....!!!!) and I can hear a bottle of wine in the fridge calling to me so I'd best go and get sloshed have a little glass (found out today that booze doesn't interact with clomid - hurrah!)

Happy Fridays all xx

Sorry to hear about your ERTD evil but thrilled for you that you had a normal short cycle!

Great news on the chat with your dh highheels You must feel that a weight has been lifted :) Well done on that move Lady! Impressive!

garden how was your night in with the wine? Does your SWIathon commence today? It is day 21 for me today and have done it day 7,8,10,12,14,15,16,17,18,19 and 21. I am sad we missed day 20 but hopefully the other days will suffice! I now plan to continue on an every other day basis just in case my body plays silly buggers again. I have a re scan about the cyst they found on my left ovary on the 15th Oct so I know that they will do a test then if my ERTD has not arrived so my plan is to not tets until then... Hmm

cavey I'll be watching Strictly on I-Player when I get back to Honkers on Monday night- I can't wait! Will let you know my thoughts then :) We went shopping at The Mall- it was huge! Hope you have made your epic journey to uni ok and enjoy the rest of your weekend, it all sounds lovely!

Hope the doggy is ok today tomboy You definitely did the right thing but it's hard to see your pets sad isn't it? :(

Love to all xx

OP posts:
gardenpixie · 02/10/2010 10:17

Morning everyone,

Thanks for doing the list MissFlick wow you are one impressive SWI-er! My SWI-ing starts tomorrow ... according to my consultant, we should do it every day from CD9 to CD19 but, like you, I want to make sure my body doesn't get a chance to outfox me so I think I might try to go for a few more days just in case. Mr Garden doesn't seem to mind that as a suggestion ... Wink Hope the wedding goes well!

I am recovering from a bit of a shocker - my computer went into meltdown yesterday and I lost EVERYTHING on it last night. Most of the stuff is for projects that are finished so I guess it's annoying but not critical; but it does mean I have to write two presentations from scratch today and tomorrow in time for meetings on Monday. Needless to say I am fairly grouchy about this!

So I might treat myself to a spot of amazon shopping. What is the Emma Cannon book people are talking about - is it good? Should I get it? I was also thinking of getting seasons 1 & 2 of True Blood on DVD - I know vampires from the deep south aren't as immediately relevant to TTC as the Emma Cannon book but I quite like the idea of snuggling up to Mr G ("oooo, vampires, I'm scared, you'd best cuddle me lots") with a glass of wine on cold autumn evenings!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend and please please please bar me from the Three Follicles if you see me in here too much today! Grin

xxx

Ariesgirl · 02/10/2010 11:54

Hi all. Just popping in. Sorry to hear you're feeling down kaloki. I hope the scan results are ok. It does feel as though it has been ages doesn't it? I know there are people out there who have been trying longer that we have, but I for one have a stab of green eyed monster even if I see a pregnant woman in the street let alone one I know. Chin up chicken.

Flick glad to hear you're in the UK and are enjoying your stay. Made me chuckle to see you've been to Cribb's Causeway - these places can be hell on earth but, sometimes it's just got to be done! Have a wonderful time.

Am Shock at your teeth woe, josie. Sounds horrendous, you poor thing.

alien06 · 02/10/2010 12:07

morning everyone :)

only a slight headache this morning :0) I need to return some clothes to a shop but too tired to move at the moment lol
I have sharp pains in my lower abdomen at the moment Confused
I am now on 2ww so let the stress commence!
Josie ouchy you poor thing,
Flick Glad to hear you are in the UK, gorgeous weather here at the mo (Eastern area) hopefully its lovely day for the wedding where u are :)

Kaloki chin up my dear :) we will all get there however long it takes x

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 02/10/2010 16:55

Hi Ladies, sorry I've neglected this thread recently Blush
Hope there have been some good baby luck floating about.

Had a rough couple of months with babies popping up all over the place (including SIL), several pregnancy announcements (including best friend who "never wants kids" and being fobbed of yet again by the docs. :(

Took the advice of some of the know-it-alls with the "if you stop trying it will happen". Well guess what - it didnt! So I'm 100% back to obsessing Grin.
Have got my BBT thermometer, fertility friend, a mountain of OPKs & a drawer full nof pre-seed at the ready! Just counting down the days now :)

My updated stats:
IfAtFirstYouDon'tSuceed TTC#1, Cycle 7, UCL 29, CD2

Good luck all xx

Truffkin · 02/10/2010 17:01

Hi Droiks and hope everyone is enjoying the weekend, the atmosphere in our house is a little low this afternoon as both Blues and Villa have lost Sad

Hopefully an evening of nice food, wine, Strictly (for me), football manager (for Mr T) and SWI will do wonders to cheer us both up!

Flick hope the wedding has gone well and you're getting nicely tipsy by now. I really love weddings, although we've been to 6 this year! Have one more in a couple of weeks, but it is in a castle so am looking forward to that!

Alien your night out sounds like a great idea, am sending 'short-lived hangover' vibes!

Kaloki sorry you're feeling down and reaaly hope the results help you out on Monday. It's about time you were able to get this sorted.

Right, I'm off to M&S to take advantage of the £10 deal (and probably a basket full of other lovely stuff)

A quick hello from me girls, as I haven't talked to you yet on this beautiful new Fred, but I noticed that there had been a bit of Strictly talk and I am watching it right now and wondering if there's anyone with me! DH is gardening (his version of nesting, I think), so I've been left to my own devices...

Tell me to mind my own business and go away if you don't want me to annoy you!

raspberrytipple · 02/10/2010 18:58

yep, Im here, we decided not to go away in the end. Poor Kara Tointon, never seen anyone fall over. She saved it well though

alien06 · 03/10/2010 00:05

Hey need a rant :( home from mates 21st bday party . Dh carried on partying in local town, tried calling re something important and he cut me off. Eventually got through and hr said hr cut me off as doesn't want to talk to me. I'm feeling crap anyway as another pregnant person at the party. Plus the abdominal pains are hurting me and I don't know why I'm getting them.
Been crying since got in , feel a mess, useless and unloved right now. Dreading picking dh up as he sometimes says nasty things or things I don't need to hear .
Really sorry for selfishness of this post :(

Kaloki · 03/10/2010 01:23

alien Oh sweetheart! That's not on :( Please take it easy!

Cramps are as bad as ever, was feeling really rough today. But we were meant to be going over to MIL's as she has shingles and can't go out and do shopping. It's a 45 min drive to hers (on the M25), but we figured she is more ill than me and can't get shopping. DH calls her before we leave to make sure she still needs us, seeing as I am barely awake. She does, so we drive there (or more accurately me, DH doesn't drive - with good reason).

Turns out she's feeling much better Hmm and goes to the shop herself.

Grrr..

Anyway, on a more cheerful note, I don't think I've shown you the wedding photos yet. Not got all of them back yet, but I've put my two favourites so far on my profile. Grin

alien06 · 03/10/2010 01:54

Thanks Kaloki . Am home now with drunken dh. Have to wait until he falls asleep now! Grrrrr

Sharp pains still happening, been happening all day! Am a few days post ov but don't think these pains can mean anything ...?
