Good morning everyone!

Kaloki what beautiful pictures: you look stunning.

alien sorry that your DH was such an idiot last night. Men really have no clue at times.

MissFlick hope the wedding went well and that the hair of the dog sorted your hangover out!

waves to Kurly

Welcome back IfAtFirst

Yesterday was good, if long and tiring. It was very useful to go to the Uni and meet my tutor and go over essay writing again. We did a few exercises to make sure we understood referencing and the basics of writing a good essay. They also looked at our essays so far to see what we needed to work on and I was pleased thay they said I had a very good writing style and that I only had a few things that needed correcting {grin}

Jimmy Carr was very good last night too. He's was very close to the knuckle at times (which DH loves, me not so much!). But I'd recommend his show.
He also took the time to meet everyone that wanted to see him after the show and signed loads of autographs. He was a lot shorter than I was expecting but actually rather cute Blush. Is that something I should be admitting to?!
He also went up massively in my estimation when DH walked up to him and said "This is my wife HRHCavey" to which he replied "Blimey mate, you're punching above your weight!" Blush {grin]

I am just in the process of watching last night's Strictly so will post my thoughts on the SCD thread in a little while.

I'm off to a dance competition (to watch) this afternoon, so will try to pop back later this evening.

Happy Sunday.

HRHCavey · 03/10/2010 11:32

Oh yes, I forgot to say: today is my unfortunate milestone of 100 days. I've had a bit of a cry to myself this morning but have given myself a talking to and am determined to get on with life.

gardenpixie · 03/10/2010 12:52

HRHCavey just popped into the three follicles to say I am sorry you are at 100 days Sad Everything crossed that your body gets its rhythm back soon

Glad you had a great day and evening yesterday though! Sending tea and scones xx

gardenpixie · 03/10/2010 12:54

Oh and Kaloki wow you look amazing in those photos!

alien06 · 03/10/2010 14:39

Thanks 4 all your kinds words re last night :0) Turned out quite an emotional night really as once I had got DH home his best mate called him in tears :( and was wandering around not wanting to go home, so off we went back to town to pick him up and give him a cuddle :) I hate seeing men crying, especially when it is a female that has caused it !! bless his cotton socks.
i am shattered! went to watch dh footie team and they won 7-2! dh is now back to normal , and is in the pub at the mo, hopefully he will be home soon so I can have an apology and a hug !

xx

TomboyWife · 03/10/2010 16:33

Afternoon ladies!

Kaloki what fabulous wedding pictures!

alien I hope your DH gives you several apologies and several hugs when he gets back. Without wishing to offend, it sounds like he was being a right arse last night.

Two days post-spaying, our dog is pretty much back to her usual self today. She's still a bit less energetic than usual (which I'm enjoying tbh as her usual mode is hyper-hyper-hyper-go-go-go). But all in all she seems to have come through the op just fine.

CD21 today, and very little in the way of hopeful symptoms. My boobs are ever so slightly sore and on Friday I had a funny metallic taste in my mouth (that taste seems to be a feature of the second half of my cycle regardless -- I read somewhere that it can indicate a hormone surge, which I assume is a good thing as my progesterone should be doing its thing round about now).

raspberrytipple · 03/10/2010 18:57

Well good evening ladies, what a crappy weather weekend, can't believe it's Sunday evening already. Today I have mostly slobbed around my friends house and then slobbed around my house so feeling a bit loserville today. However, I have been feeling a little headachy and a little bit sick. Also, if I prod my boobs or give them a jiggle they are a bit sore and my nipples are rather sensitive..... I am reading waaaay too much into this when I promised myself I wouldn't because I don't feel that it is our month this month to be honest but I am already thinking about it and am nearly at the top of the list, only 5 days til i test!! I am not going to mention it again and if I do you MUST all tell me to SHUT UP. I shall learn one day!

Anyways -

tomboy glad doggie is feeling better! it wont be long before she is back at full speed. I get the metallic taste as part of my cycle too, the thing I find is that all of my ERTD symptoms are all pg symptoms too, how am I supposed to tell!!!???

alien I hope you got your hug, I'm impressed that he managed to get up and play football! Hangovers just about kill me nowadays, I must be getting old. The big 3.0. will be with me in 2 yrs and 2 months Sad so am starting to reduce my drinking. What on earth happened to your DP's friend to make him cry? Must have been bad to get in a state like that but then drink does the most awful things to people. hope everything is all good again today for him.

HRH you poor love, it's so s**ty, I hope things regulate for you. Bodies are such strange things. Glad you enjoyed Jimmy Carr, I really like him but agree he can be very close to the knuckle sometimes.

kaloki love your wedding pics! And if I were you I would have slapped the MIL. Honestly, I really would have!!! Cramps sound horrible, do painkillers help at all?

truffkin how did wine and SWI go? After such a good start to our month we last swi last Saturday [which I believe was the optimum day] we've fallen a bit flat on our faces. Must try harder! Can't believe you have 7 weddings in one year!!! I've only been to 1 wedding and 4 evening 'dos' in my life! We just don't know anyone who gets married.

ifatfirst just ignore people who come out with 'as soon as you stop trying it will happen', they are insane and stupid and more than likely to get a smack in the mouth when they say things like that to me too frequently. Not that I'm touchy about those sorts of comments....

garden has the SWI started yet? Very best of luck to you Grin don't wear yourself out too much Blush Gutting to hear about all your work disappearing, how bloody frustrating, hope you got lots on amazon to commiserate...

highheels so pleased for you being able to talk to DP, I found it hard to talk to mine for a while but after the excitement of a late period cruelly making me think I might be up the duff I had a good cry and we chatted then and it really is like a weight is lifted of your shoulders isn't it. You are both officially in it together now and it does feel good. V. well done on that move. I am going to try gemini tomorrow!! I've watched a few videos and am just worried I'll spend so long trying to wriggle into position I'll be on the floor before I manage to get it. I will let you know how I get on...

evil hope ERTD is not making you feel too crappy, glad that you are regulating though. Here's to next months trying!!

missflick I think you should be very proud you woke up without too much of a bad head!! How did the rest of the wedding go?

Josie congratulations on being able to bite again! It's all up from here, you'll be better before you know it but seriously, stop worrying so much about having a tooth out and really DO NOT READ up about it you crazy woman!!!! don't think about it at all. You'll be YouTube'ing it next we hear!

toria and womanly hope you are ok after both your traumatic weeks. Hopefully hear from you both soon x

Hello slow Lanky and bellaby and to anyone I've missed although I think that should be everyone today!!

I am off for a bath and to get ready for work tomorrow boo hiss Sad I might even re-watch SCD as I missed the second half of the first one as I feel asleep after being incredibly excited about it, then missed the first few dances of the second one as we were late getting back from biking.

Have a nice evening all. ciao for now xx

Hermya321 · 03/10/2010 21:09

Kaloki OMG!! You look all kinds of fab in your pictures, that dress is amazing!!!

Missflick I forgot you were in Honkers, welcome back to Blightly for a wee while. I hope you enjoy your crisp fix. Have you been eating Jaffa Cakes yet?

As for me, I'm still bobbing along so to speak.

I hope all of you on this lovely fred is well!!!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 03/10/2010 21:24

Sunday is pretty much over, and back at work in the morn :( Although, I have pretty much wasted the weekend by sitting on my fat lazy backside!

Spent yesterday catching up on my soaps when I had the opportunity to go for a walk on the pennines with a mate. I am glad I didnt go actually, as they got very lost, and ended up out there when it began to get dark (I was already on my 3rd beer by that time :))

Today, I have barely moved from the sofa, and have an imprint of the bottom of the laptop on my thighs! Blush I have however, read the FULL version of the NICE guidlines for fertility assesment & treatment - which was quite interesting actually, but come to think of it, made me realise how much my doc sounded as though he was reading from a script Angry

Enjoy the rest of your weekend ladies!

Best dash as have to navigate London sans tube to get to a meeting but wanted to sort out the list and say hello to everyone Smile

(pop head round the door)

Hello all my lovely frolickers - well I have taken a couple of months off to clear my head - BUT I really miss you all so wanted to know if I was allowed back???

I know we only have a really really slim chance of it happening naturally but I have got some hope back and feeling a lot better about it all.

So if you let me back onto the list (in the not counting days) then I at least I can make everyone feel a little better as I will have been here the longest!

Will catch up soon but just wanted to let you know I'm back (if you'll still have me!)

Hermya321 · 04/10/2010 14:28

Hello Zippys it's nice to see you again, I'm glad that you're feeling a bit more positive. I look forward to hearing how you get on.

MissFlick · 04/10/2010 16:22

Hello lovelies,

Am safely back in Honkers after a wonderful wedding this weekend! I will catch up tomorrow but just wanted to say hi and welcome back to zippys :) xxx

HRH My apologies for responding late - - I am terribly sorry about the 100 days... Here's a couple of cocktails and strawberries- - I think your attitude is fabulous - so more power to you -- Hope you are feeling better today...

Hello to everyone else :)

Am dropping in here at the Three Follicles, 1 - 2 times a week because it helps stop me from obsessing or worse eating my anxieties away. My body is doing very well though it's just my mind that is all wonky and I feel the strength inside me to reel it into shape. :)

Have a lovely week ahead frolickers and baby dust, courage and cheer to all of you.

Best of luck garden on your swi and great job flick in completing yours. Look forward to hearing from you about the scan :)

alien06 · 04/10/2010 18:21

welcome back Zippys :)

gardenpixie · 04/10/2010 18:31

zippys Grin hello! I've been thinking about you lots and I'm so pleased you've come back to the pub!

Just popped in to say hi to everyone before heading off for another evening of work Sad

Have lovely evenings xx

HRHCavey · 04/10/2010 20:33

Hi all, thanks for the kind words.

I have to admit, I'm not all that strong womanly. I had a complete melt down last night and sobbed on DH for about an hour. He was mortified that I was so upset and told me I should talk to him more. He said he may not always understand but he wants to part of it. It's our journey together.

I know how lucky I am to have him.

He also suggested, and I think he is right, that perhaps spending so much time on Mumsnet isn't helping my mental state of mind. Don't worry, I'm not going to disappear but I am going to cut back and not post every day. I will still lurk and check in on how you are all doing though.

So for the time being I wish you all lots of luck and sticky baby dust, and I'll see you all soon.

Florin · 04/10/2010 20:42

Zippy you're back! Lovely to see you.
Sorry I have been missing for a few days girls, been having a manic time and to be honest trying to not think about ttc as I keep ending up upset.
Went for my scan today, was amazed how it really was fine nothing to worry about as far the procedure. However although I went for a mild pain in my left side it handily fell on day 13 of my cycle and so the very nice lady had a good look around for signs of me ovulating. There was none :-( and it was very obvious to even my untrained eye that I have PCOS and she diagnosed the same. Had a good cry on the way home. Dh got home as soon as he could and poured me a large glass of wine and we had a good chat (and me another good cry) about it. Trying to look at the positives and I am lucky to find out relatively soon. Got doctors appointment on Friday so not sure what to expect from that or what questions to ask. Just want to get on with the treatment now.
So who is up for testing soon, I am sure we are due a bfp around here soon.

Kaloki · 04/10/2010 22:48

zippys!!!! I've missed you! Welcome back!

Cavey I feel I need to take a break every now and then, stops me obsessing and getting upset. So do take a break, we'll be here for you whenever you need us.

florin Sorry to hear that sweetheart :(

Well today has been a sad day, we had to have one of our rats put down :( Poor little thing had a stroke, we hoped she'd go in her sleep, but unfortunately we had to help her along.

I was also going to ask for your opinions, seeing as you are all like me and DH (TTC a first child). I started a thread under a new name to ask for opinions, as I am not comfortable talking to anyone outside the Three Follicles about it, but would like your take on it too. Thread here. If you reply on the thread, could you try not to call me Kaloki, as I'm worried about people's opinions carrying across the board. Confused

raspberrytipple · 05/10/2010 07:57

Hi kaloki, I posted on your thread. You really must be having a tough time but there are some nice balanced opinions there. I'm a bit sit on the fence with these things, I have a disability too and claim low rate dla but I keep well enough for people not to k ow unless I tell them about it but I do know that only you and dh know whether you can do it. Outside of that people can keep their noses out xx

JosieSmith1 · 05/10/2010 09:01

HRHCavey that?s exactly how my top wisdom teeth are coming out, and exactly what my dentist has been saying for 2 years now. Thankfully they have been fine all weekend and I hav eaten my bodyweight in food every day this weekend! PMSL at Jimmy Carr, what a fab compliment, for you of course not DH! Sorry you?ve hit day 100, I know what you mean about MN not being good for your health, doesn?t help taking your mind off it does it!

Tomboy the tooth is staying in for as long as I can keep it there Grin I was so worried about having it out but it?s absolutely fine now. The bottom tooth has erupted out of the hole it had made so no more infection and no more risk of infection thank god. My dog was terrible after she was spayed (going back a good 13 years at least) and wouldn?t eat or anything so we tok her back to the vets and they hadn?t given her enough painkiller so after some more she perked up and was absolutely fine. Hope yours feels better soon

Thanks Aries but teeth are all sorted now Grin

Alien hope you?ve got everything sorted with DH, drink does terrible things to them!

Good luck Raspberry, I?ve got 9 days left before I test and already I can?t stop thinking about it! This cycle is my last chance to get pg and have baby before best mate?s wedding, which would be better than being huge on her wedding day! Plus we?ve given it a damn good go this time around so I think I?m in with a chance, which makes the disapointment worse! And yes I promise I will stop googling and you tubing Grin

Welcome back Zippy, so glad you are feeling better

Sorry to hear about your rat Kaloki Sad. My dog is terminally ill and I?m hoping when the time comes she will just go to sleep but it?s not looking likely, the symptoms keep catching up with her and we?ve just upped her medication as high as we can for now, just gotta wait and see but in the back of my mind I know what?s coming! Can?t face it though Sad

Well I have had a fab weekend of eating, entertainment and relaxing, sat was mirred a bit by one of the group being recently pg and very happy about it. Sat was italian meal then Ladyboys, which was fantastic except for a noisy group beside us but was all good in the end. Sunday was family meal at pub, Monday spa with Mam, lunch at pub, then finally persuaded Mam to ride horsey!!!

So now I?m about 10 stone heavier and hating being back at work but I?m about due a holiday (or so I think) so gonna look at when I can book a week in.

Sorry if I?ve missed anyone x
