Update on moi-- er nothing exciting really, I started netball last night, was soo nervous as not keen on doing things in front of people, so just arriving there was a miracle! and to get out of the car was a bonus, let alone joining in for the whole session wooo go me!

I am apparently fertile at the moment according the my iphone app haha so have been SWI as much as possible with ovulation day being thursday lol,but not holding out much hope really as 4th month now and still no joy at the mo!

Sorry I havent had a chance 2 reply to people personally, I shall do later on but been mega busy!

Hope you are all well and fingers crossed for a Christmas sprinkling of BFP's!! :0)

Toria Sorry about your bad day yesterday.
highheels I totally hear you on confused bodies -- Here's some biscuits and a big cocktail - Hope FERTD arrives quickly and you start a new cycle.
HRH I love how busy you get :)
Florin Glad you're finding the Cannon book a good read.

Josie Hope your tooth ache heals faster - - there's still many a day till the bday bash.
Flick I totally applaud the no CBFM, OPK, Temping approach -- I find it also the best way to stay positive...though given my latest scan I really wonder what it will take for my body to stop being so confused :)
alien Great going on joining hte netball class.
Garden how's the clomid 100 going? Sadly I can't join you this cycle - I have had the most bizarre revelation this morning... So I went for my scan on Day 2 (FERTD did start yesterday - thank god)..and they found a cyst/follicle (not sure what) in my right ovary. My left ovary which contained the dominant follicle last cycle was clear and normal. So this has thrown the doctors in a tizzy cause they don't know where the right ovary follicle/cyst came from. So they have decided NOT to give me clomid this cycle and wait till my next cycle..where I go through the same day 2 cycle and if there's an all clear they will give me clomid and an ovulation injection.
I am kinda bemused at the twists and turns that has made up my ovarian saga so far... feel like I should volunteer my body for ongoing scientific observation...
DH's reaction was a - 'Yeah - we get to just sw/outi' and that got me blushing!

gardenpixie · 28/09/2010 17:06

Hello everyone,

Just back in from mammoth presentation

All went well though so I thought I'd catch up with everyone.

Womanly thanks for doing the list - how did the scan go today? You started your clomid on CD2 last time didn't you - have they prescribed any more? I hope you are OK and that the scan went well.

Miss Flick I am glad you are finding ignoring the monitoring bits and pieces helpful. With clomid apparently there's no point monitoring as everything is skewiff anyway so I can totally empathise with enjoying a break from it all!

Alien soooooo impressed with the netball. It's all I can do to drag myself round the local park with my dog - team sports a whole stratosphere above that!

Lanky a desk with limited ability to MN? Hmm can't you get HR onto that? Hope you are OK and not missing surfing too much

Truff how are you doing today? Has ERTD made up its mind whether it is staying or going?

Crazybutterflylady lovely to see you stopped by! Hope everything is going well with you

Big waves to everyone else - have to go and actually do some work now

xx

gardenpixie · 28/09/2010 17:09

Sorry womanly for x-posts. How confusing for you... Ovaries are odd things aren't they? So does the progesterone result mean that the dominant follicle didn't pop but got reabsorbed and then one turned up on the other side as well? Sorry it hasn't been as straightforward as it should have been.
Great that they are monitoring you properly and are going to give you the HCG shot Smile and I hope the interloper cycst / follicle clears up soon xx

Truffkin · 28/09/2010 17:54

Afternoon fellow drunks frolickers.

First things first, Toria what a total arse of a situation for your parents and sorry it brought your day down when you were trying to stay up. Hope they get it sorted and so glad no one was hurt, wishing DH home as quickly as possible to cheer you up Smile

Now, although I've read through to catch up on the thread I've actually had to do some work today (not impressed!) so am not able to post individually. I also realised that in my post yesterday I called you all 'drokies' and I think I meant to write 'Frollies' as a shortened version of frolickers, so sorry about that everyone.

Thanks also for the cheering up posts about my ERTD arriving in such annoying circumstances. I think I was initially more upset about being completely wrong about my cycles than ERTD actually showing up if that makes sense. Then when I thought about it and re-looked at my iphone app I realised that if the OV date on there was right from the new cycle dates, we still SWIed several times within the window so it made me worry over again Confused

So today I have chilled the f*ck out and went to Boots at lunchtime to buy a BBT thermometer, which I plan to use to see if I am actually OVing at all (fingers crossed)

Sorry about the mememe post, will make an improved attempt to catch up properly tomorrow, when I will hopefully be much more at peace with the world.

Hope everyone has a good evening (oh and I didn't end up having takeaway last night as DH made a lasagne - was just as nice but maybe less Envy making than the chinese would have been!)

TomboyWife · 28/09/2010 21:20

Evening ladies!

Just a quick post sticking my head round the door to say I've not gone AWOL, just been busy. It was a rather annoying weekend featuring car repairs and looking all over for bits of paperwork that seem to have vanished into thin air. Then last night I picked a rather bizarre and surreal fight with DH. Well, not really a fight, more like a very earnest conversation in which I whinged at him and he just looked bewildered and didn't understand what I was complaining at him about, and by the end of it all, neither did I. Confused

Maybe I'm all emotional and incoherent because I'm pg? At a whole 5 or so DPO (based on my best guess from CM and past experience)? Okay, perhaps not.

Toria so sorry about your aunt and everything that happened yesterday. Not a nice situation at all. Sad

Kaloki I agree 100%. Christmas, if it absolutely must, can start in November, but this September nonsense is, well, nonsense.

Truffkin how dare you call us drunks! I'll have you know I've had just a single solitary beer this evening! (We won't mention the half a bottle of wine from yesterday.)

Waves to everyone else!

Toriajayne · 28/09/2010 21:44

Truff I'm having one of those as well, we've got a 30th birthday party this weekend that everyone we went to uni with will be at so was already planning how to field the drinking question.

Slow Welcome to the madhouse, sorry I was so miserable yesterday! We're normally a cheery lot, honest :)

kkas Sorry you're having such a rubbish time

Lanky Flick Truff Tomboy Womanly and Aries they know who did it, and it appears there's also a child protection case involved as well which we know nothing about, he was arrested at the scene yesterday morning. Today has mainly been about trying to get the area secured as there were flammable gases in canisters in the area (yet another reason it's amazong no one was hurt).

Whoeverofferedmeadviceaboutlosingmyaunt We're keeping going, but we were a close family and it was so unexpected, it was a very violent way to go as well so it threw us all into a bit of a spin. Think it'll get easier from now though, her birthday is very close to my mum's and their younger sister's so it was always going to be horrid the first year.

Womanly how very bizarre? Fingers crossed this means they're planning to do some mega follicling for you :)

Hello to everyone I've missed as well Highheels, Alien, Garden and the rest of the lovely ladies, is there any wine left?

I had a much better day today, slept in until half eleven (despite having an alarm set for ten Blush ) I also had my second session of reflexology. Which went amazongly well considering the state I got myself into last week.

She talked me through, first of all, the fact that pain in my feet does not mean a physical problem, and can be down to hormones and stress (which a few people had already beaten into me mentioned) and commented that I seemed much brighter today and said she was glad to see me back (awww)

Then we did a very similar routine to last time, only this time she asked me to choose an oil based on smell rather than what I wanted it to do. And I picked the same one (though asking me to smell stuff is hit and miss following a head injury when I was 18). The oil I picked is for balance and equilibrium, contains Frankincense, Rose and Geranium and is the one they use for balancing women out, especially when it comes to hormones and reproduction. Very interesting.

There was no pain this time, at all, anywhere. I was a lot more comfortable and she said that the congestion seems to be easing, so that's all good, and I plan to go back at least a few more times.

I also asked her about the fact that obviously if I'm TTC there is a chance that for two weeks a month I might be pregnant, as she warned me in my first session that reflexology isn't recommended during the first 12 weeks and she said she's treating a lot of women who are TTC and so she's going to bring in some information for me so we can work out a plan for what to do during the 2WW as there are alternatives that could still work on my stress problems while not endangering any possible pregnancies.

So on the whole, feeling much better today, though still feeling some animosity to the lovely gentleman of yesterday's post. OH is home tomorrow and then we're away this weekend so all in all, very cheerful, even if ERTD did pitch up this morning, bang on time (however, as previously mentioned, I'm doing a Truff and thinking "Well at least I can get lovely and tipsy at the weekend") So whoever does the list tomorrow, I'll be Cycle 3 CD2.

Sorry for the essay!

highheelsandequations · 28/09/2010 21:56

Evening all,

Meant to get here earlier today so I could catch up properly and stuff but was late home from pilates as I went to sign up for a yoga class, then found it was fully booked already, grr. Then decided to cook some apples (trying to eat warming foods!) and then had to wrap up DP's presents for his birthday tomorrow. The time seems to have vanished tonight!

kkas so sorry things are not going well just now. My thoughts are with you and hope to see you back at some point.

Welcome to slow

Truffkin I am also Envy of your pedicure. Sorry you didn;t get the chinese but glad the lasagne was nice. Sorry your cycles are confusing and hope the bbt works for you. Can recommend fertility friend website to save you having to fill in the charts and work out lines yourself.

Lanky kettle chips are full of natural ingredients so they must be good for you. I'm impressed you can eat a half bag though, if I opened a packet they'd be gone! Thanks for the ERTD wishes (Hmm) And look at us both managing to be all positive and stuff :) xx

Cookie sorry about ERTD but good news about DH's SA. Hope your appointment comes quickly.

HRH hoping the big O happened for you.

Toria so sorry to hear about your awful day. Hope you and your family are okay. xx

Raspberry your friend sounds so sweet. Sorry you've got the cold, hope you're not feeling too bad. (Hugs) Learn anything cool at pole? We did the wrist seat last Thurs, was terrified at first but once I got the confidence to try it I loved it!

Thanks for the drink bella, hope you're good.

Cherry thanks for the prosecco and glad you enjoyed your hols.

Kaloki hope your scan results give you some explanations for your bizarre cycles.

Hi MrsW

Florin your hotel break sounds absolutely fab! I love staying in nice hotels and just having a chance to chill, especially with champagne :o Glad you're enjoying Emma Cannon.

Josie sorry you're still suffering sweetie. Hope it's all better for your shopping trip and the birthday celebrations.

Flick thanks for asking about my class. They're mostly okay, just a few kids who can't get on and end up shouting insults across the room at each other, causing chaos. Have got guidance to intervene and try to get them to sort out their differences so hopefully that will have an impact, plus it's parents night for them soon so will start putting the pressure on them :o Glad your new approach is helping you stay positive and good luck with the SWIathon!

Hi crazy I have fresh pinapple and pinapple juice in the fridge :)

Hi Aries I know what you mean about the mention of Christmas at this time of year, I think one of the kids at work has already told me how many days it is away. Aargh!

Alien I'm impressed with you netball but cannot believe you're making Rudolph cards already! Will you be sick of the sight of all things festive by December? Stay positive and keep up the SWI.

Womanly good to hear from you again. Sorry your ovaries are being confusing. It must be frustrating to be at this stage and still have unanswered questions. Still good news that everything is on track for the next cycle and sounds like your clinic are being very good, helpful and thoughrough.

Garden everything crossed for your 100mg cycle. Glad your presentation went well and hope you've managed to get some well earned rest after it.

Hope I haven't missed anything/anyone. Still cramping here but no FERTD and no other signs yet. May need to change my cycle length I think, looking back through my diary, pre-clomid it looks like 38-45 days was more usual, could whoever does the list next possibly change it for me? Even though I don't think I've ovlated I'm now getting tempted to POAS and I know I'll just be disappointed to see a BFN. I must be mad! Determined to hold off and wait for ERTD. I will be strong. I do not need to pee on things. Maybe I should just POA OPK and that might satisfy the urge...

highheelsandequations · 28/09/2010 21:59

x posts

Hi to tomboy and toria good to hear you sounding so positive and sounds like you had a really good reflexology experience.

alien06 · 28/09/2010 22:05

MissFlick I enjoyed it, still bit nervous for next time but hopefully I'll be ok!
highheels I totally love Christmas so will overdose loads :)

hope everyone has a fab day tomorrow whatever they are doing!

x

MissFlick · 29/09/2010 07:49

Morning all,

Just a quick post to say hola.

Glad reflexology went well toria and that your dh is home soon! Hope your family are doing ok- glad they've caught the culprit. Thanks for the yummy Match Makers!

highheels I often POAS even if I don't think I am preg just to get it out of my system and then that strengthens my resolve and makes me determined not to do it again for a while. Perhaps my crazy tactic might help you too?!

alien with you on the Christmas love- I think truff said she loves it too as I remember talking about my christmas party wedding.

Glad you're back tomboy and with no injuries to report either :) I hate trying to locate missing paper work Angry

Enjoy the thermometer action truff I think mine sent me a bit mental but seem much more sane than me so you will love it!

Any sign cave? Hope the course is going well still.

Sorry your scan was confusing womanly what a medical mystery you are! Love your DH's reaction- I bet this is the month you get your BFP when you are just Shagging without intent :)

Great news on your scan crazy! Fabulous that all i going well- I am keeping up with you on the other thread and hope I can join you for real soon xx

Hope you are feeling ok on the Clomid garden and that you're not working too hard lanky

Day 18 in the SWIathon for me although the 'fertile' CM I have been having the past four days has disappeared today so perhaps I have already ovulated. I refuse to take anything for granted as my body loves to trick me so I won't be beaten this month and will just keep going! I won't get a chance to pop back later as I am going for a wax (lets hope they don't give me a wonky landing strip this time!) and a spray tan in preparation for the wedding on sat as the dress I am wearing is not suitable for tights and my legs are little on the white side... Please pray that I don't go orange Grin I've never had a spray tan before... EKKK.

Morning droiks (!) just popping in to say hi on my way to a workshop. I used my thermometer this morning so have started a whole new form of crazy I'm sure!

Toria so glad you enjoyed the reflexology more this time, I've got my third appointment next week and love how relaxed I feel afterwards

Flick hope the tan goes well and you are left a lovely golden colour! I've had good ones and only one bad one, so long as they moisturise your hands, feet and knees first you should avoid any major disasters Grin

Also you're right, I'm a total Christmas nutter. We did talk about weddings as I planned my sister's Christmas themed wedding, which was fantastic. My DH's birthday is in October and I try to keep Christmas thought away until after that. Would love to have a bfp announcement to make at the most wonderful time of the year!

JosieSmith1 · 29/09/2010 08:40

Morning everyone

Well back to dentist today because it seems to me that the reason I can't chew is because the top wisdom tooth is coming out at a funny angle and a pointy bit is sticking into the sore one (which isn't red and horrible anymore by the way, and doesn't hurt apart from when I bite) so off to see what they can do, preferably before sat so I can actually join in the birthday celebrations! Hoping they can file the pointy bit down like they do with horses teeth Hmm, even as a short-term relief, then have it taken out at a later date.

Anyway, DH and I had a 'lie-in' Wink this morning and I left him wanting more so we have a date tonight, in bed Blush

Hope everyone is ok this morning

gardenpixie · 29/09/2010 10:52

Morning frollies (LOVE droiks Truff!)

Hope everyone is well.

MissFlick I hope your mammoth beautician session has left you looking glowing, bronzed and with a straight landing strip!

Tomboywife I'd say that random argument-picking at 5 DPO (or in fact at any time before ov as well) is definitely a sign of being pg! I can totally sympathise with being in mid-rant and then realising DH is looking slightly bemused and uncertain about what's going on. My poor DH has to put up with that a lot, bless him.

Highheels Oooooooh the temptation to POAS! Hope you're OK. I can't remember who it was who used a hpt they'd already peed on to fulfil the urge but I think I'll do that this cycle! The OPK sounds like a good idea too. What is it with peeing on things? Why do we want to do it so much??? I'm beginning to empathise more with my dog and his obsession with peeing on trees ...

Toria sorry about ERTD (boooooo hisssss). But it's great that you're enjoying the reflexology. And that your practitioner sounds so clued up about TTC and the 2ww.

Josie I am soooo impressed by your dedication to SWI - especially with a poorly tooth. The baby fairies must surely reward your efforts this month!

Big waves to everyone else and happy Wednesdays all round xxx

JosieSmith1 · 29/09/2010 12:46

Thanks Garden, I know I'll de disappointed after 2ww if I don't give it my all now so gonna bite the bullet (no pun intended), plus it makes me feel better Wink

Have been back to dentist (luckily wasn't charged either) and there's nothing she can do by weekend, just suggested plenty of painkillers and anti-inflammatories and gave me some more antibiotics as the infection hasn't totally cleared up. She hopes that the antibiotics will bring it down a bit more so they're not pressing and that it won't be as sensitive once the full infection has cleared up. After this weekend she reckons I'll have to have the top one out though Sad

slowshow · 29/09/2010 13:55

I am fast losing my resolved to be all relaxed about things considering we've only just started. I'm already breaking out the ovulation sticks and considering starting to temp next cycle. And there was me saying I wouldn't do any of this until after Christmas (while secretly hoping I'd be pregnant by then). But I'm a control freak so it makes me feel better.

Ovulation stick said no yesterday, but that was CD9. Going by CM, I reckon I ovulate around CD12 so I'm interested to see what happens over the next few days. This is a big tragic, but I found the whole POAS (or, rather, pee into a pot) thing quite exciting Blush. I was even disappointed to get a negative, despite the fact I wasn't taking a pregnancy test, and would be quite concerned if I got the LH that early! It's all such a novelty at the moment - here's hoping I get pregnant before it all becomes a horrible chore.

Veering wildly between feeling really optimistic that it's going to happen for us, and worrying about my short cycles, pre-period spotting (possible luteal phase defect) and my husband's phimosis, which is a possible fertility problem (if you don't know what that is, don't look it up) Wink

MissFlick - good luck with the spray tan!

Sorry to hear about dental grimness Josie

gardenpixie · 29/09/2010 14:38

Slow having been TTC for what now seems like beyond eternity, I can safely say try to stay away from the lure of the sticks for as long as possible! They sit there with their sticky smugness promising to unlock the secrets of the female body ...! I have to remind myself that they only tell me what is happening, they don't make anything happen themselves!

Seriously though - whatever works for you!

Am sure everything will be fine for you and MrSlowshow and you will be well and truly up the duff before christmas! Grin

JosieSmith1 · 29/09/2010 16:10

Slow the sticks are evil Grin They shout at you from the cupboard until you use them even though you know fine well what the outcome will be!

I'm tempted to use ov sticks now, just to know if I am actually oving or not! Once I know I am I'll probably stop using them who am I kidding Grin

alien06 · 29/09/2010 17:58

hey everyone, how were your days?
I purchased a CBFM today through boredom and wonder lol
No idea if it will help but hey ho! it seems that my body is ovulating (EWCM- sorry if TMI!) so had to pre arrange SWI for tonight as hardly seen DH this week due to sporting activities! in fact I am off to aqua tone in an hour! no rest for the wicked hahahaha

I am dreading the 2ww this month as thought I would have been preggers by now :(

Flick good luck with the spray tan :)

raspberrytipple · 29/09/2010 19:44

Evening all,

How is everyone today? Can't believe we are on page 3 already!! Will deffo need a new thread by Christmas.

I am now 5dpo and not a symptom in sight so I am not hopeful. Feel a bit down to be honest and work has been just bedlam.

alien I can sympathise with how you feel. Im only on my third cycle and already I'm fed up. I guess the first couple of times is all exciting and now I'm just getting into a routine and this is the first month of the routine. Let me know how you get on with CBFM, I am thinking about asking for one for Christmas if I'm not pg by then! Is that weird?

garden I like your view of the OPKs. I might use them one more month to see if I am ov'ing and around what time roughly. I guessed it right what with my ECWM and it arrived plentyful, was backed up by the sticks then disappeared just like the sticks predicted so is nice to know things are working... but I am quite tight so I dont want to pay out for them too often! it can get a bit obsessive though!

slow I did chuckle with you saying about the negative with the opks, I was exactly the same "can't even get two friggin lines even when its not a pg test' I seem to remember mumbling. Stay away from the sticks! As was said to me recently when my FERTD was 3 days late just to mock me, it can be worse seeing negatives sometimes than the actual ERTD showing up unannounced. Very best of luck though, I hope you aren't around very long in the nicest possible way! Grin

josie glad the tooth is feeling a bit better, I dont know how you have coped so long and to keep SWI through it all too! Well done you a and Mr J!

missflick you are doing well! Our SWI kinda fell on its face over the weekend, I got two lines on opk on Friday and we managed once on Saturday morning and that was it, we were just crazy busy but I am hoping there were a few sperms able to hang around :-( havent done it since the weekend so feeling a bit crap about it now.

highheels - same as with slow - stay away from the sticks!!! Hope your willpower doesnt desert you. Smile I have been working on three spins in one go this week. I also managed the cross ankle release and lifted myself back up twice, proper chuffed. I have been attempting wrist seat for a while now. Its not my favorite as I tend to slip and I cant seem to get my hand right under my bum enough to take my weight if that makes sense? I told my instructor about gemini at the end of the class so she has it on my 'to do' of moves for next monday!

Toria glad you were feeling a bit better yesterday and hope it has continued today!!

Hello to everyone else, feel too knackered to make my way back through everything this evening but I will try much harder from now on promise!! As I said above am feeling a bit crappy. I think I ov'd and I think we SWI at the right time but I dont feel pg! ggrrrr Hmm I'm probably over thinking it. I have mentally booked my test time as next Friday a.m. as we have a party on the Friday night even though after the excitement/disappointment of last cycle I promised myself I wouldnt test before 35 days as the last cycle was 32. Goddamit!!

happy evening everyone xx
