The 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

***

Although all most of these rules are well and truely broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Well The RTD has arrived at last! No more poas for me so Asda will be making a few quid less than usual. Was ridiculously silly to hope to conceive again before getting a period after m/c. But at least I have a starting point now. And a crampy tummy. No JS for me this weekend, which is a nuisance as it has been a little while...

HarderToKidnap · 04/09/2010 08:31

It's a bit kinder to your body to wait for AF after a mc, kat, so you have done the best thing really. Now your body has been reset and is ready to go!

I have sore boobs. On CD22. There, I've said it. I don't know what it means, and I'm sure it doesn't mean anything. Sore boobs is not an AF sign for me - heavy boobs yes, but not sore like this. Just putting it out there.

BrassicaBabe · 04/09/2010 09:18

funny link snowpea there are some odd folks out there Smile

Sorry you are back to CD1 kat.

Ooooh harder sounds promising. How much have you been poking though?! Grin

Morning viriods. How are the hang overs? Grin

Who was asking after the JS thread originator? I was just having a nosey over on the pregnancy threads (just lurking for now, until the BFP confirms things) and found her on the April 2011 thread and it appears all is fine GrinGrin. A couple of our other graduate viriods are there too.

No I haven't before you ask. Going to wait a few days. Am I really the only one doing it without being stupidly early this week?

HarderToKidnap · 04/09/2010 11:04

AHA! Viriods refers to people who post on this thread! I kept looking for a poster called viriod and just assumed my inability to find one was because I wasn't looking properly!

What does viriods stand for?

vallinnapod · 04/09/2010 15:34

Afternoon,

Who'd have thunk it but this morning's Brazilian was the least intrusive waist-down-clothes-removal-with-an-almost-stranger in a while Wink

So am hair free from the neck down, fake tanned but marginally more soft around the edges than I had hoped for! Holibobs where I come.

Am taking the laptop to stay in touch with DH so will lurk with intent Grin

takethatlady · 04/09/2010 16:31

PMSL at harder! It's because somebody, a while ago, tried to type in 'hello girlies' into their phone and the predictive text changed it to 'viroids'. Somewhere along the way it has become corrupted into 'viriods'!

Ooh have a lovely 'holibob' vallinna Grin, especially now you're tanned and hairless! We just went to a National Trust property. That's about as exotic as it's going to get for us this year I think. There wasn't even a suitable spot for a bit of secret JSing!

Loving the new thread. I SO would have gone for the pee/jiz/wine title though Grin.

Still no pant snot, despite happy pant snot thoughts ...

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 04/09/2010 18:19

Hurrah for a place to come and have a good boob poke, pint of wine, meltdown, chuckle.

Apparently today the overly emotionals hit. I've nearly cried at halfd a dozen things today, which isn't helped by my new obsession of following the damage done by the NZ earthquake (having lived in Chch on and off since my mid teens I have more than a passing interest).

Thinking pant snotty thoughts in your direction TTL

Oh just looked out the window in time to see a couple of wood pigeons JSing on top of a street lamp. Now it looks like they're cuddling. Ohhh

CrochetGirl · 04/09/2010 19:15

Thanks Brassica! I'm 27, we've already got one boy who'll be two in October. We've just decided to go for it with the second, and I got in such a state the first time round that I've not to spend over £60 on pregnancy tests this time, nor spend all my free time weeing on ov sticks. Probably.... I do like a good wine, without my medium sweet I would probably already be POAS and I haven't even ovulated yet. Month one, day 12 of a very long feeling cycle. Pass the bottle....

takingtheplunge · 04/09/2010 19:54

ladies, finally managed first shag since Sunday! Hooray! DH off work tomorrow so hopefully get some more action! probably too late for OV but at least I've finally had some bedroom action!!! Grin

cowboylover · 04/09/2010 20:04

Woo hoo! Sounds fun, I am shattered but I think I may have to pounce on DH later!

Kipper maybe required as for the last few cycles I have not drank AT ALL in the 2ww but last night I went out and got hammered! Drinking Tequilas til 5 am and AF due on Monday so maybe that has improved my chances on previous thread form,

Its going to be my new technique as I have not done any boob pokeing of orifice feeling of any kind whilst trying to protect my score head and nearly forgot all about it Smile

milanomum · 04/09/2010 20:14

welcome crochet!
harder sore boob situation sounds promising!Mine are killing me, but they always do so that's no use.
nomorechoc I have been welling up at anything too - news about tragedies, small girl going to school with cute little rucksack, romantic-ish song on my ipod this morning, small puppy with pink lead etc etc. Thank god for large sunglasses.

(goes off in search of more beer)

NervousNelly · 04/09/2010 22:09

Evening viriods....

I'm feeling overly emotional too, but it's definitely not a PG symptom. My sister left earlier - she lives abroad, which means I only get to see her rarely (18 months since last time). This time she had her much awaited son with her; after years of trying and 2 IVF attempts. He's my first Nephew; and is just so cute it's unreal. I love him already Grin. But now I miss him, and her.

Catching up with them briefly tomorrow, but then who knows when I'll see them next :(

In other news, ERTD has finally buggered off completely, so JS can resume. And one week till we go on hols - the timing is perfect, due to OV next Sunday, and we arrive in our lovely sunny destination early Saturday afternoon. Holiday baby, anyone :)

(At least there will be no early POAS, given I don't speak the language. That could add a certain frisson to the whole testing Confused)

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 05/09/2010 10:14

Grin at NervousNelly having a Bridget Jones type episode trying to buy a pee stick.
I know how you feel about family being over seas Nelly. My whole family lives in other countries. My parents a visiting in just over a week and haven't seen DS in 19 months. I can't wait to see the look on their faces!

ComeTalkToMe · 05/09/2010 17:43

Hi ladies, hoping I can join you! I came off my pill about five months ago and so far no joy, although people I work with seem to becoming pregnant with alarming frequency! I don't want to become obsessive about this as I still want to enjoy the odd glass of vino! But it can be hard sometimes!

I've just started my second period since coming off the pill, I've been told they should hopefully become more regular as they're often all over the place when you come off the pill after a long time of taking it - if anyone can provide reassurance on this that would be fab!

I'm looking forward to a month of JS and so is my hubby! x

BrassicaBabe · 05/09/2010 18:15

Welcome cometalktome

Well I promised myself lots of wine and shagging this weekend. So far I've only managed one out of the two and the one I've managed isn't going to get me preggers! GrinWink Hubby is just v busy at the moment.

I'm not normally the "kitchen" type, but this afternoon I've made breadsticks, a loaf of bread and a chocolate torte. (Need that shag me-thinks! Hmm)

CD 8 for me so we're getting closer to Ov dates. I've sent DH a "heads-up" text: Mr Brassica, this is your monthly Shag Alert. You get to have extra sex on Thurs, Fri and Sat this week. Come on then if you think you are hard enough!" Geddit?! Anway, am trying to keep in light while still letting him know when the window is. It's more tricky that UN peace keeping!!

OP posts:
BrassicaBabe · 05/09/2010 18:35

And now I'm torturing myself watching birth programes on Sky Hmm

OP posts:
cowboylover · 05/09/2010 19:15

Oh god birth shows? What channel on sky?
I think seeing an actual birth might slow down my current obsession!

I bought some new gorgeous purple shagging pants [crotchless of course] and gave them wrapped up to my DH with a note not to used til the 17th so I agree a light hint always works the best!

takethatlady · 05/09/2010 19:19

Mmmmm chocolate torte. Can't you use it for foreplay brassica, and kill two birds with one chocolate-covered treat? Wish I had one. All I've got is an apricot yoghurt and a strawberry beer in the fridge Grin. Sometimes I think I'm better cut out to be a bachelor than a mum!

Hey cometalktome! I am just over five months off the pill too. So far my cycles have been 32, 47, and 51 days long, though 51 involved a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage and I expected AF on CD49. So counting out the mc it was 32, 47, 49.

CD19 here today and no sign of ovulation. Creamy CM though so I'm in the pre-pre-Ov phase I reckon. Doh. Thanks for the happy snot thoughts though nervous!

I'm off for that strawberry beer...

takethatlady · 05/09/2010 19:23

Ooh cowboy I am loving your style. I haven't had any sexy new crotchless stuff for ages

Birth shows all over the shop on Sky. I can only watch them when DH is out. It's the same with the catalogues I've got from Mamas and Papas and Mothercare. He gets a sort of Hmm face when he sees me with them, so they've been added to the ttl list of guilty pleasures: drunkenness, cake, al fresco shagging Wink, baby catalogues, birth shows, MN ...

takethatlady · 05/09/2010 19:23

Deal brassica!

cowboylover · 05/09/2010 19:29

Its super busy!

I went to a Motercare world yesterday with my preggie friend and came back holding a catalogue and pregnancy and birth magazine which I had to tell DH they where giving out free but I dont think he believed me.

May have actually been testing me the other day when he asked me had I thought of what I would like the nursery to look like and I came back with some options for boys and girls in a cuttings book Blush

NervousNelly · 05/09/2010 19:41

Haha nmcb yes I can see the Bridget Jones similarities. Except for the size of my pants Blush

Hello and welcome cometalktome, sounds like you are in the right place! I came off the pill about a year ago now. Mine weren't too erratic TBH, but a bit unpredictable originally - now a totally average 28 day cycle, so I'm sure it will settle down very soon.

Brassica I keep forgetting you and I are on the same day. We managed some Sunday morning action though Grin. Bit early for any chance of a BFP, but JS is never wasted, I always think Wink. But eeek to the Birth programmes, I tried a couple of episodes of OBEM but it scared me and am now avoiding such "education". Ignorance is bliss.

cowboylover - purple crotchless panties. And you expect him to wait 12 more days Shock Wink
