Loving the new thread.
Oh Zippy don't know what to say just that I am thinking of you.
Steg congratulations great news after such a wait.
Had a great holiday although big tears yesterday found out a childhood friend has fallen pregnant by accident it just killed me luckily dh gave me big hugs and understood my tears. I really can't cope with it this month. luckily being on holiday dh could feed me large quantities of wine to cheer me up.
This month has hit me hard but at least I start SWI period soon which is always a positive point of the month.
Be back on properly on Tuesday can't wait to catch up!

I had a little tidy and removed the waiting to TTC section from the list as the four lovely ladies who were on there have no posted for a long time so I wasn't sure if they would still want to be on there. If you are lurking calyx, sevans hairytriangle andcalligraphy and you want to be back on the list let us know :) I miss you all by the way, just incase you are there xx

yum I put you as cycle 0 seeing as you have not actually been trying and IF we need to, we can put you as cycle 1 later on.

Back later- off to help a single, male friend pick curtains. Joy!

crazydayz · 29/08/2010 07:14

Morning frolickers!

Flick I'm a veterinary nurse. Glad you've found the ebay cheapie sticks. I came across them last month and they are satifying my POAS obsession nicely! Why o why do I feel the urge to pee on a stick when I know it's way too fecking early!Blush

Alien I get ovarian pain when ovulating and it usually lasts 2-3 days.

Florin sorry to hear you're feeling down and hope that this cycle will be lucky for you.

felicityFlick · 29/08/2010 10:49

Back again to try and resurrect my lost post!

alien how nice are you?! What a lovely deed you did. Very good karma coming your way in the form of a baby I'm sure :) I played netball last year (am 5'10) but like you said it's hard to commit in term time. Out games were on Monday night and it left me shattered for the whole week. Lovely to have good news about your friend's new baby! What did you buy, if you don't mind me asking? My gorgeous friend is having her baby on 10th September (ELCS so she knows the date) and I am the look out for cute baby girl things. I also want to get her something lovely and pampering for herself too- any ideas on what ladies recovering from caesarians would like anyone?

dayz not long until your hols! Hope you're all packed and that there were no pet emergencies last night. Gotta love the ebay cheapies. I am sure when mine come I'll POAS just because I'm bored!

Thanks so much for popping in to share your CBFM wisdom lucky, especially when you have no internet. Hope all is going well for you.xx

Hope you're feeling better today toria. Glad you're going to the doctors to get yourself sorted out one way or the other. Are you going to wait to POAS until your cheapies arrive? Grin at you and your Immac cap!

florin sorry you've had such a bombshell :( but glad your lovely DH is looking after you and administering medicinal wine. This sounds really silly but whenever I hear that people have got pregnant by accident I always think that they are lying and that they have secretly been trying for a long time and it makes me feel better. I said it was crazy but maybe thinking like that will help you too?

Call me crazy tomboy but do you think that you should POAS just to put your mind at rest if nothing else? Stranger things have happened you know... was your last ERTD especially light?

roam I am a pee in a pot kind of girl, just because I don't trust myself not to go wrong at such a crucial moment :) Where are you by the way? The instruction on your test not being in English made me wonder... Have you managed to resist that shiny test sitting on your table this morning?

Have had to make myself a RL bacon and egg butty this morning highheels after drinking copious amounts of red wine last night. Thanks for teh book recommendation- I have put it in my shopping basket on Amazon and will treat myself to it when if ERTD arrives.

Still no ERTD for me this morn and have resisted urge to go and buy a test. Although today's craziness consists of me thinking that the CBFM is not reliable and that although it gave me a peak I haven't ovulated- any thoughts?

Hope you're all having a nice bank holiday Sunday everyone xx

Toriajayne · 29/08/2010 12:01

Alien I have been grateful for people like you more than once, just after Christmas I was picked up by a woman when I was struggling to walk home in the snow as no buses or taxis would go up the hill to my house! Much karma coming your way methinks.

Florin that sucks. Glad your OH is there to look after you.

Flick I'm not as reticent as you wrt other people conceiving by accident/easily, I tend to sulk and then spend a while convincing myself to be a nice person. From now on I might try and adopt your method! This morning I appear to be feeling better, but haven't been up for long Blush Can feel all the usual kicking off in my stomach though so going to try and eat something quickly in the hope it helps. Am also a bit confused about my dates after looking something up last night and think I might have actually been a day behind myself when I joined the thread, which would mean ERTD is due today, not tomorrow, but since I'm so confused I'm gonna leave it, cos I'd rather be a day ahead than a day behind! Will resist POAS until cheapies arrive, unless they aren't here before Drs appt.

Roam I echo Flick, is the test sill glaring at you? (they do that you know)

In other news, in the last week I have dreamed I'm pregnant twice, so clearly I am. However let's hope the rest of the dreams don't come true, namely that I'm actually pregnant by OH's friend (who I have never knowingly slept with) or that my best friend's pregnant SIL will come work with me, hate me for stealing her limelight and make my life miserable, and that OH will, on the same day, sell my house from under me because it was a good offer [hmmm]

Right, I'm off to make myself a bacon butty or something similar and then attempt to get the house in order before OH returns from camp tonight. Enjoy the BH Sunday!

alien06 · 29/08/2010 12:50

Flick I headed straight to TK Max store and got some beautiful pieces , mostly sleep suit thingies with hats and socks, mostly yellow/light pink things. I am going to get the parents some flowers and choccies when I go and visit.

I did see the Dad today, he sneaked out from home to watch his footie team play for 10 mins lol, bless him. so managed to hear about the 42 hour labour!! he said he is fine but then he has had lots of sleep lol

ToiraJayne I am glad that I did it but a bit silly as I am sure that most people wouldnt, I am way too caring ! Ohhh that bacon butty sounds yummy!

crazydayz thanks for letting me know about yoru experience of ov pain. It has subsided today so lasted 3 days, I got some BD in so guess I just have to wait now?

Toriajayne · 29/08/2010 14:58

Well, ERTD just showed up so looks like I was right to think my dates were wrong. Does, however, mean that dspite my wishful thinking I am actually ill and do really need to go to the Dr. Bleugh. Oh well, will subscribe to the prime numbers theory methinks :)

So, that puts me on Cycle 2, CD 1, right?

TomboyWife · 29/08/2010 15:00

flick my last ERTD was shorter and more painful than usual, though not particularly lighter. So I dunno. Still feeling weird today but completely failed to buy any tests when I went out to do the weekly shop. I is clever, I is. Hmm

Interesting discussion of other peoples' accidental pregnancies. The galling thing for me is, I think we almost got pg by accident about six months before we started TTC. My boobs very suddenly got painful and absolutely huge for no reason. This was about two weeks after I'd had what passed for a period on Cerazette. I was incredibly p*ssed off. Then two days later it all shrank back again.

Of course, now that we're actually TTC we're having no luck at all. Oh the irony. Angry

TomboyWife · 29/08/2010 15:00

Toria sorry that ERTD got you. Sad

roamfree · 29/08/2010 17:03

Thanks for all the peeing advice, everyone! flick I am also one to err on the side of caution so now I just need to find a pot of some kind that I won't want to reuse... Mmmm toria - you've got me thinking - I think that tube of immac in the bathroom is nearly finished. The test has now been shoved to the back of the cupboard - it can't glare at me from there. Boo hiss re. the arrival of your ERTD Angry

flick I'm in the Netherlands so you do have a new non-UK friend. Although thoroughly English, I have somehow ended up living abroad for most of the last 10 years (mainly in Latin America). And I recently married a non-Brit so that situation looks set to continue! From what I can gather, you are in Hong Kong, right? How long have you been there? It's a funny old life being an expat, isn't it?

alien - amazing act of kindness. You are clearly a born mother!

Morning bank holiday Frolickers,

It's very quiet in here and I am looking forward to the return of you all!

toria so sorry that FERTD got you and also that you are still unwell :( perhaps there is a bug going round? I did have a little giggle at your dreams!

tomboywife get yourself a test today please if you go out! Sorry to hear about your possible pregnancy before TTCing. It WILL happen again.

Ahhhhh how nice to see the new Daddy alien bet he was beaming and so proud!

Ahhh roamfree I get your name! You have been roaming free for ten years :) I am in Hong Kong and have just been here a year. It is a funny old life being an expat, you're right! I'm not sure how long we'll stay out here for but I can feel myself getting more and more seduced by the lifestyle already!

No ERTD here and have not retested yet. I am feeling horrid today. I am SOOOOO unbelievably bloated. I feel disgusting and all stodgy inside. I weighed myself this morning though and have lost 4lbs. Despite this, I can't really do up the work trousers I have on todayo am not sure what is going on. I have been eating less over the past few days as I feel so bloated and full all the time. I don't normally suffer from bloating before FERTD but you never know. I think I will go to the doctors soon if no ERTD or BFP as I'm starting to think maybe I have a food intolerance or something.

Got excited today as recepetion at work told me I had a package and I thought, yay my internet cheapies have arrived. However, it was a parcel of online shopping and I actually felt disappointed that I had a bag full of new clothes and not 20 pregnancy tests. When did I become so sad?! Blush

roamfree · 30/08/2010 09:18

Never fear, flick your non-UK friend is here! Stuck at my desk not enjoying a bank holiday and watching the rain pour down outside. Sometimes I wonder what's the point of living abroad when the weather is identical to the UK?

So weird about the non-arrival of your ERTD and BFN, and then the bloating as well. I sometimes get bloating at random times for no real reason - it can be stress-related (like everything!), but then if you don't usually get it, then it is a bit strange. Is ERTD usually regular? It is very strange that it's not made an appearance yet. Perhaps a trip to the docs will help put your mind at rest?

I totally know what you mean about weird shift in priorities. I had been excited about an imminent trip to the UK as I am planning to do a big shop (clothes here are way more expensive and I haven't been shopping for yonks), but the other day I found myself hoping that instead of buying skinny jeans, I can treat myself to a a tent-like maternity top as by then I might have a BFP. Who am I??

I am still resisting the temptation to test. Boobs are extremely sore today so that either means ERTD will arrive soon or I am pg - how cruel is it that the symptoms for the thing I really don't want and the thing I really, really want are the same? Spoke to a friend last night and she told me she's 6 weeks pg with her second. She got pg instantly both times. I was genuinely happy for her, but then came the surge of jealousy ...

crazydayz · 30/08/2010 09:21

Good mornign folks! I was up at the crack of dawn as hubby forgot to turn his alarm clock off and it went off at 6am! Couldn't get back to sleep!

Alien it sounds like your two week wait has begun! The nightmare of fake symptom spotting begins!

Toria Big hugs, drink wine and eat chocolate until you can SWI again.

Flick Be prepared to become obsessed by the internet cheapies! They are almost too cheap and made me pee on one yesterday - BFN but then far too early as only 8 days PO!! They're sending me mad.

Got called in to work yesterday afternoon just as shopping for hols! Haven't packed yet but have a big pile of stuff ready to pack (does that count) Grin!

I keep imagining fake pregnancy symptoms and am sure that you can make yourself have symptoms just by looking for them too hard!!!

On the down side I'm not going to be able to drink on my hols until I know that ERTD has got me. I would obviously rather not drink and have a BFP! Fingers crossed for me ladies as ERTD due Sat/sun at the latest!

Baby dust to all on 2WW!

gardenpixie · 30/08/2010 10:49

Hello Frolickers!

Am back from Norfolk and settling down to catch up on MN and eastenders do some work.

Lovely to come back to everyone's chat; hope Monday is treating everyone well.

Yum welcome Smile, hope you're settling in nicely!

Alien you are a lovely lovely person for looking after the poor stray people. I think the universe is definitely going to pay you back with a karmic baby

Toria Sad sorry you are ill AND ERTD got you. Enormous boo. Hope you feel better soon.

Florin my jealousy hackles rose for you re the accidental pg lady. It's just not fair. Comiseration cocktail coming right up for you...

Flick great news that you still have not been ERTD'd. Your symptoms sound promising, if uncomfortable! I hope you are not feeling too bad? When do you think you might retest? I am keeping everything crossed for you and sending as much luck as I can muster over to honkers

Roam your symptoms sound very promising too! We need a rush of BFPs please so fingers crossed for you in nordicland too

Womanly how are you doing? I think you will have finished the clomid course now? Hope you are feeling OK and haven't had any side-effects.

I took my last clomid pill on Friday and have a scan booked on Wednesday to see if it's done its thing and produced any decent sized follicules. And I am 2 days into the enormous 10 day shaggathon prescribed by the consultant. Mr Garden is dedicating himself admirably to the cause and even convinced me to go in for another al fresco session up in Norfolk ... honestly, he's a menace; I'm convinced we're going to get arrested Blush

Right, off go grapple with the laundry.

Big frolicky waves to everyone xx

felicityFlick · 30/08/2010 11:46

I was thinking of you when I updated the list yesterday garden :) KEEEEEEP shagging! Very exciting about a scan on weds. Am also going to catch up on Eastenders right now- glad you had a lovely time in Norfolk.

roam two days until your max UCL.... Will you test on day 30 or wait a little while? I totally get you about clothes, they are crap over here too but luckily I am a good online shopper and all of my old faves do worldwide delivery :)I als wondered who I was when I was disappointed to receive a delivery of new clothes! My ERTD was regular from Feb- May (came off pill in Nov) but had a mega long cycle over the summer which I think was due to all of the time zone changes I went through (From HK to USA to UK) so my body got a little confused :)

TomboyWife · 30/08/2010 12:02

Morning ladies!

Well, that wasn't how I wanted to spend my Sunday evening. DH was fixing my pushbike, put his hand through the brake disc while the wheel was spinning, and very nearly sliced the tip of his finger off. So we spent the rest of the day at A&E, who did very little except undo the good bandage and paper sutures that DH had applied, wash everything down, and re-apply a vastly inferior bandage that bled through overnight. DH has to go back on Wednesday to get patched up properly under a local anaesthetic. To say he's angry would be the understatement of the year. Sad

I've got a 2 pack of cheap Boots own brand pg tests now, and I'm debating whether to waste one or not. I'm feeling a lot less weird today, though perhaps the stress of hospitals plus blood splattered all over our kitchen has overridden all else. Also, I got what might have been a blodge of EWCM last night. Argh, how confusing is this cycle? Confused

Right, me-me-me over with.

garden good luck with your scan!

And good luck to all those testing soon! roam, flick, crazy, sorry if I've missed anyone else.

alien06 · 30/08/2010 12:22

TomboyWife OMG your poor DH and you! I would have fainted at the sight of blood, I did when my hubby was in hospital lol

awww thanks gardenpixie :0)

crazydayz oh joy the 2ww that everyone has been going through, luckily for me I shall not have any spare time to symptom spot as back to school this Weds! Will save me TTC the only thing to keep me busy, saying that hopefully I will be able to squeeze in some BD whilst my life is taken over by twenty three 5 year olds lol.

Well, bank holiday for everyone, hope you are all having a fab day so far, I am sorting stuff out for school and letting DH have control of the living room as he is loving having a Monday off bless him.
All of our friends went to an all night party last night but DH didnt want to feel bad today lol, he is turning into a proper man ( he is 25) lol

roamfree · 30/08/2010 15:32

tomboy that story made me actually turn away from my screen in horror! Your poor DH!

garden - check you out and your crazy al fresco activities. Way to liven up the BMing! If only I lived somewhere a little more remote...I don't think I'd want to risk it in the local park!

flick I have thought about it endlessly given it brief consideration and think that I will test on Wednesday morning assuming ERTD doesn't get me before then. We are going off to Italy early on Thurs morning. I could wait til then, but would prefer not to feel rushed/have to face the world with mascara tears if it's a BFN. So yep - Wednesday morning it is and if it is a BFN, I'll be downing a bottle of valpolicella by Thursday lunchtime.

Hope you all enjoyed your bank holiday lie-ins...with the exception of poor crazydayz.

Florin · 30/08/2010 16:37

Hello everybody. I am back! Had lovely week away. Good luck to everyone testing soon!
Way to go with the adventurous SWi Garden we have had friends on hols with us so limited amount of opportunities for SWi although dh did surprise me and joined me in the shower one day for some different SWi. Not sure what friends thought as there is only one bathroom so they must have known what we were up to! Grin
Got DH some zinc today so going to try and get him to take that. He agreed I could buy it and after seeing how upset I have been has promised to give it his best. Think this month is going to be a non starter though, Dh has a trapped nerve or something so has pain all through his shoulder down his arm and down the side of his body. Bless him he is very independent but at the moment I am having to dress him, cut all his food up and even put his deodrant on for him so don't think he is going to really want to SWi might try and persuade him later if I am really gentle!!!
Got a doctors appointment on Thursday, I keep getting this mild ache everyday in the exact same spot on the left side of my tummy from around day 8 until my ETRD starts and then all pain stops. Its being going on for months so though best to check it out.

Toriajayne · 30/08/2010 17:19

Thanks for the commiserations ladies, I'm fairly upbeat about it, I knew I was unlikely to conceive first time but bless him even OH is a little crestfallen. I think after two years of let's wait/it'll happen/one day/when we've.../why the rush he's now far more broody than he let on and is a bit disappointed. Especially with the news from bitchface and walkover about sprog number two being on the way for them. He did everything right though, he asked me if I was sure (he's surprised me with his willingness to buy early tests and his knowledge of how they work), gave me a hug, kissed me and said "We'll just have to try harder then won't we?" before saying not a word about me eating half a pint of Ben and Jerrys in front of the TV.

Flick my dreams are usually pretty good, will try and post some more, I send regular updates to my best mate to keep her chuckling in the mornings :) Think I have an over active imagination! Also know what you mean about excitement over post, I'm currently not sure if I'm more excited about cheap tests (even though I've now got a month before I can test again) or the Glee soundrack coming from Amazon. I think that makes me sadder than you...

Roamfree your symptoms sound very promising, though agree it is unfair that the symptoms are the same for both pregnancy and ERTD. Evil! Female bodies clearly designed by men.

garden Very impressed wih al fresco shagging! Think I may choose to live vicariously through you if this continues :) Good luck with the scan!

Tomboy that sucks! How is he today? My OH does things like that on a regular basis, our local A&E are going to start recognising us soon...

Florin Fingers crossed the zinc does it's magic, also impressed with your SWI shenannigans! Am really going to have to become more adventurous to fit in round here methinks :)

Babydust for all on the 2WW and waves/air kisses for everyone else, I'm off to cook his dinner before he goes off to play with small children (scouts) and leaves me to eat the rest of the Ben and Jerrys clean the kitchen and have a bath.

Toriajayne · 30/08/2010 17:34

Oh, and as for being ill, thank you lovely ladies for your concern, am still rough as a badger's arse today (had half hoped that as ERTD had arrived it may have turned out to be psycho somatic or the world's worst PMT, alas this is clearly not the case) so have a Drs appt for Wednesday afernoon. Will also discuss the fact we're TTC with them as well and see if they can tell me anything other than drink less, cut out the caffeine and lose weight!

TomboyWife · 30/08/2010 17:35

Toria you're saying half a pint of Ben & Jerry's in front of the TV isn't an everyday occurrence? Seems I've been doing something wrong then... Blush

DH re-dressed his finger this morning and it's stopped bleeding at least (he's got a first aid certificate and knows how to do this stuff -- better than the A&E staff actually), but he's definitely in pain this afternoon.

garden naughty! Wink

CaveMum · 30/08/2010 18:28

Evening all! The busy long-weekend is over and we're just chilling out and trying to get things together for the working week.
We're both off work next week (not going away) so we'll be cracking on with odd jobs around the house.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend, I shall try and catch up on everyones activities!

yumstepmum · 30/08/2010 18:42

Hi all, hope you've all had a good weekend.

Toria sorry that ERTD got you. Got me too this morning, which was a bit early. Quite disappointing even though we hadn't started trying properly yet. DH surprised me by seeming a bit disappointed too and he's been adamant for months that we couldn't start until Sept. So, just a week to wait then we can really start SWI - and we're off on holiday so perfect timing!

Good luck to all who are still waiting, hope for some good news soon.

Any hints anyone can give would be greatly appreciated - it's a shame that red wine isn't a conception aid else I'd probably be preggo with quints by now :S

Toriajayne · 30/08/2010 18:46

Tomboy Not when I'm supposed to be losing weight lol.

Yum Sorry to hear about ERTD, bring on next month, eh :)
