Morning ladies. I would like to hang around the new thread for a bit too with Viv and Battery if that's ok - not feeling brave enough to go over to the grad's thread just yet.....

VivClicquot · 27/08/2010 09:23

Ooooh lovely shiny new thread

Had a slight when I saw myself on the grads list, but seeing as I am determinedly adopting magic16's stance of positivity and optimism, that's alright by me.

pv, my lovely, sorry that the rusty fucker arrived mate. :(

I spent much of yesterday trying to work out whether, if they did an August tour, it would be feasible for me to slip out of the house for a couple of hours, given I only live 10 mins walk from Old Trafford... Wink Also, I was out on the piss on Saturday night Blush and I told my best mate about our hot towels and dressing gowns conversation, and she wanted to muscle in on any delivery action - hahaha. She'll kill me when she finds out it's actually happened :)

loopsy - sorry you're still in limbo. Fingers crossed it's just implantation - although I completely get your 'velcro womb' worries, as given my history, I worry about exactly the same thing.

Morning to everyone else x Can't believe the sun is shining and it's a Bank Holiday Weekend.

xxx

I've not had much sleep.
Lol about your friend. Grin
I think after seeing the new Vid, Gazza and Robbie will be sharing a dressing room.

Morning,
Viv, don't think PV's RTD has turned up, it was last month it appeared just when about to test. But PV are you saying you've had a faint line on a cheapy? Have you tested again since? I'm not sure I'd waste time on a different brand - just see whether you still get lines as time goes by and bleeding stays away.

Same goes for you loopy, I know the moment you get that line you want to know whether it's going to work. But you can't know that for sure, even if you get a six week scan if it doesn't show a heartbeat they won't diagnose a mc until they wait another week or two. It's a waiting game for you too, but we're all here to hold your hand and hope hope hope it all works out.

owlshoes · 27/08/2010 10:35

Morning all!

Choccybick there's a thread limit of roughly 1000 posts so when it's getting close someone does the honours :)

Digi nice lurking there. Tis not over til the large lady sings, remember. Quick, someone get out the gaffer tape.

Loopy I've still got everything crossed for you, let me know when it's good news pls as I am having trouble shopping etc in current crossed state Grin

Ladybee Welcome back! Actually when I've finished crossing everything for Loopy I shall recross everything for you & Jolls and Moofibou cos you lot are absolute troopers and deserve nice things.

Right; inlaws plus stinky dog arrive at 3pm. Have just realised that I am suffering from HostessFail as we only own 3 cracked manky pudding bowls and there are 5 of us. The shower curtain is starting to go mouldy and I can't get it off, there's cat hair everywhere and I'm supposed to be working from home today

Er....so yes, I am on here, cos that is definitely going to help. Argh.

VivClicquot · 27/08/2010 10:43

belms

I'm clearly going mad. In which case, get yourself down to Superdrug sharpish lady. Clearblue only. Go on. There's a good girl.

thefatladyscreams · 27/08/2010 10:50

Hope you don't mind me popping in - I used to be on this thread and now on the grads one and heard a rumour about a BFP... (not that we're a nosey bunch)

VivC - huge Grins to you! Yippee girl - so pleased for you! Yehhhhhhhhhh - big grin on my face. Congrats to all the other BFPs as well. This thread was a life saver for me.

And scream hello thefatlady! lovely to see you! and thank you for your kind congrats :)

owlshoes · 27/08/2010 11:48

Mrs PV in your honour I have sacrificed several goats to the Goddess of BFPs and made a 12ft tall wicker todger which I intend to burn later. I felt it was more your style Grin

Don't ask me why. Maybe not liking cake is justification enough.

Still no fecking bowls and the sodding cat has sat on all the clean bedding

PrettyVacant1 · 27/08/2010 11:57

That'll do Owl that'll do. Grin

Morning! (well it is for me, I am 7 hours behind you guys)

Congratulations VivClicquot, been reading back a bit and see that you got a BFP. Grin Grin

Thanks everyone for welcoming me into your lovely thread.

Hope you all dont mind a quick moan from me...

Feel like I have been on a two week high, convinced myself I was all "recovered" and then realised I am still on the rollercoaster and its starting to hurtle dooooooooown Sad
My MC went on forever (4 months) but two weeks ago during a scan doc told me I was ovulating Smile. Wasnt really sure if I should go for it (AF not arrived after ERPC 7 weeks ago) but have no will power so I ended up doing it three nights in a row, have been testing ever since. Now 15 DPO, (or 16?) exhausted with worry, nerves, excitement - except the excitement is wearing off and I am starting to accept that all these BFN's mean that I am still waiting on AF, hoping there is nothing wrong.

Anyone else go back to the pee sticks to check for change every 5 mins, even when there is just a huge empty shiny white surface where the line should be?

xxxxxxxxx

DachshundsRule · 27/08/2010 13:56

Hello people

Can I snuggle down into the sofa and enjoy the shiny new thread?

I'm clearly going to have to change jobs. I don't have anough time to keep up with you lot any more :) I leave you on the old thread yesterday and you're already on the second page of the new thread when I pop in today. I feel old and slow :(

Still waiting for AF. POAS still v v negative though so I don't think it's a sign of anything except WTF. I wish it would just get on and arrive now.

Also woke up this morning with a snuffly cold and sore throat and am now sitting at work feeling like I'm actually visiting the Arctic, so I'm feeling quite grumpy. I think DH and I will prob argue later 'cos I'll randomly be grumpy at him and he'll get annoyed.

So, who wants to share a bottle of wine and soem choccies? May as well start the weekend how I intend to continue it!

MummyAbroad · 27/08/2010 15:24

Dach

Pass that wine and choccies over here please! Sorry in advance if I am a bit greedy with my share!

Are you first cycle after mc/ERPC too then?

Sorry for not being more clued up, its such a dauntingly long thread to read back, by the time I've finished all our kids will be in school Wink

DachshundsRule · 27/08/2010 15:51

yep - i had my mc 29 days ago and still waiting for the start of my first post-mc cycle.

Have as much wine and chocolate as you want - plenty to go around! :)

Velvetcu · 27/08/2010 15:54

Hello everyone

Advice needed please!

It's my Mums 50th bday party tomorrow and I dont know what to do! I usually have a good drink so people will notice if I'm not drinking, especially suspicious sister and nan who wont believe me that I'm not TTC (it's easier to tell them that).

So it's CD 25 tomorrow and UCL is 30 (has been between 28 and 35 though) but have only had 1 AF since ERPC so I don't know if I have a new cycle length.

To get to the point - should I POAS tomorrow? If it's negative, it might be too early in which case maybe I shouldnt and just not drink so much anyway???

PrettyVacant1 · 27/08/2010 15:56

Awww Dachs you're not old Grin
Sorry you are snuffly, give DH the big doe eyes and make lots of "uuuuuurrrr" noises, he won't have the heart to be annoyed at you.
What is going on with our negatory POAS'???
We must have a bad batch. Wink
Nowt has happened here yet either.Hmm
That'll bleedin' learn me for spouting off for the last 17 years that I'm regular as clockwork.
I feel like such a lady every time I pee having to see if there's any developments. Blush

MummyAbroad may I call you MA?
I've just cleaned the bathroom and before I emptied the bin I double checked the dippy sticks I chucked in from last night/this morning just incase they'd sprouted another line.
Lunacy I know. Grin
You can moan as much as you need to us, 4 months is a long time!
FX your body gets it's arse in gear very soon.

reallygrumpy · 27/08/2010 15:58

Ooh I'd love a v large glass of wine but have (stupidly) given up drinking (and caffeine) in the hope it might help me get pg. Dh thinks it's hilarious and keeping pointing out that DD was conceived after a v boozy night out. PIL have taken DD out for the afternoon so I can do some work... And I've mostly been catching up on MN and looking at curtain fabric online Grin

I'm also torturing myself about whether I have any symptoms as I had a positive on opk on mon which was v exciting as I have pcos, rarely ov and am about to start clomid again. Thought I felt a bit bloated and got all excited but it was only wind....

owlshoes have the pil and stinky dog arrived? Hope all's going ok just give them lots of wine this eve and they'll think you're a fabulous hostess Grin

hello mummyabroad you were v kind when I had my mc so it's nice to see you on here!

reallygrumpy · 27/08/2010 16:05

velvet could you drive there and then use that as your excuse for not drinking? It sounds like it'll be a fun eve. I love having a reason to get a bit dressed up and slap on my sparkly eyeshadow. As for poas tomorrow, it could be negative just cos you're testing too early.

PrettyVacant1 · 27/08/2010 16:11

Velvetcu
Hmm tough one.
It's a personal choice.
If it was me I'd have a couple.
You can blag drinking shorts by just having lemonade/orange juice.
Unless you're a line'em up on the bar necking Tequila kinda gal everyone will be so drunk/busy they won't notice.

I've spent so many parties and even one Christmas TT just incase.
Now I'll drink till it's pink!
(Or I've spent all my disposable income on pee sticks whichever comes first)

OP posts:
reallygrumpy · 27/08/2010 16:23

PV now are the pricey pee sticks any better? A while ago I asked DH to get me a test and he bought a pricey one (clearblue digital I think) but I didn't like it cos it came up with the words 'not pregnant' instead of just lines. Oh dear, I really should be working...

KnitterNotTwitter · 27/08/2010 16:37

velvet I use the strategy of saying yes to a glass of wine, taking one sip, putting it down and wandering off leaving it. Then i'll pour myself a lemonade or orange juice and if anyone asks i'll say it's G&T or V&O.... but then I'm very cheeky :)
