Hairy Good news about your scan. Hope you're still buzzing from the BFP!

Wombat A triphasic chart shows three levels of temps: pre-ovulation, post ovulation, then a second rise 7-10dpo. According to ff it can be promising because progesterone levels generally increase after implantation (7-10dpo) and sometimes this results in a triphasic pattern. However, it's not a definite sign that you are or aren't pregnant just another thing to -obsess over

MummyAb (aka widdlesticks) Your situation is really puzzling, no wonder you're going crazy. I hope you get some clarity soon. I check in everyday hoping to see some (bf)positive news from you! Maybe your doc could shed some light?

Sunchild I'm full of cold too!

Knitter can I borrow that cod when you've finished? I tested at lunchtime today - 7dpo (not even fmu ffs) Somebody slap me please.

Also, I have noted that the rise in my temps coincided with having brand new windows put in throughout the house. Triple-glazing no less. Maybe it was insulation and not ovulation after all...

MummyAbroad · 22/09/2010 22:43

Hi nickster
How is AF today? Less pain and bleeding? I think it might be my turn for that next ) Hugs much appreciated, feeling feeble today.Blush

I am going private over here. CR "NHS" is SCARILY shit.

Makes me think UK NHS is fantastic.

(Well actually it is: When I was diagnosed here with MP, I was contacted (yes, they found me, but I promised not to say online how) by the specialists in Charing Cross molar unit, they revised my case via email as it unfolded and diagnosed me and liased with doctors here. Apparently they offer this service free 24/7 to all UK expats suffering molar (shame they dropped me like hot bricks when I got the all clear though!) For a while it looked so bad I had my bags packed and was about to say goodbye to DH for 6 months to a year or more and head back to England. The kind people at Charing Cross told me that they could have me starting treatment within an hour of stepping off the plane!)

Anyway, I get pretty decent service over here, medical tourism is huge so there are lots of shiny looking private hospitals. They do any tests you want really quickly but availability of drugs is sometimes an issue. I frequently obsess often wonder if I would receive better care in the NHS system. At least there are guidelines, checks, procedures etc. Here I am kind of at the mercy of each individuals opinion. (plus sometimes they are plain rubbish as in the hemotologist who diagnosed me with PCOS - wrong!) I have had blood tests done to check thyroid/hormone levels but not Day 2 or 21 tests. All normal. Last time I spoke to my gyne he wanted me to take the pill for three months and then start TTC.. I disobeyed Blush mainly because I know this advice is "old fashioned" in the UK. (and when quizzed he couldnt give me a good medical reason) Makes it a bit hard for me to go back to him now thoughBlush. One thing I could do is go and get a quantative blood test, (only 15 quid!)Dont know if my nerves could handle doing that though! If I really am 13-15DPO and the blood test is neg that would be a definitive answer right? Maybe if nothing has happened by Monday I will do that.

oooh that turned into a nice long rant, I think I needed that, feeling better already! Thanks for listening xxx

For what its worth, I just think you havent ovulated yet. When I started my chart was quite short like yours, then one day FF elongated it and suddenly it was twice as tall to accomodate the higher ranges. It will come!!

loola2shu · 22/09/2010 23:52

Hello ladies,

Sorry I am soooo far behind!

Just wanted to say congratulations to Hairy, that's the best news I have heard all week!

Mummya What a time you've had, definately your turn for good news!

wiggle Grin at insulation not ovulation!!

nickster Hope you're feeling better- I had the worst ever af the cycle before I fell pg, so hopefully its a good sign!

mamap Share the jaffas!

Well I am starting to think that Ov may be nearing, no pos opk yet (however I have been doing them very late in afternoon)and no ewcm (cm just not ewcm)but cervix is that high I can hardly reach Blush Managed to fit in a SWI tonight just incase! It can't harm can it Wink

Re opks, where do you all get them? I got this lot off ebay (10 pg tests and 20 opks for about £5.50)only have about 5 opks left so will have to order some

Really hope Hairys news is the start of a run of BFPs for all of us!

MummyAbroad · 23/09/2010 00:52

loola Amazon, 25 for a fiver xxxxxxx

nickstermum · 23/09/2010 06:26

Mm ladies, i realised my temp had gone up but then i remembered i had put my heating on (yes the heating,in september). MA you may have a disastrous NHS out there, but heres hoping you dont have to sit in your hat and scarf during Autumn Grin

AF is just nasty [anger] cramps controlled, but flow is not. Dont want to use tpax as they hurt, (everythings tender) and want to monitor what comes out if that makes sense. Blush am sure will be over soon though Hmm DH has been told to impregnate me ASAP otherwise i am going on the pill!!!!!!!! (not)

Have a really big high profile meeting today with all my big chiefs and a very important customer and i just want to curl up and cry. My immediate 2 line managers know whats happened, and also 1 of them knows am suffering this week so is lined up to take over if i get dizzy!

nickstermum · 23/09/2010 06:28

Hi loola.. pussycat lady!

Wobblewatcher · 23/09/2010 07:41

mummyabroad def do bloods Monday to see what your HCG is. If line is not getting fainter then surely new pregnancy?? As I said, this happened to me and I had bloods done which were conclusive. Good luck for new bean, now confusing for you xx

nickstermum good luck with the meeting. You take care

I got all my stuff from access diagnostics which was mentioned on here but can't remember who by...

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 23/09/2010 08:30

mummyabroad - I'm confused - if you are testing and actually getting +ves surely that is good sign of new PG? Or do you mean you've never got back to BFN after MC and therefore not sure if these are real new BFPs or post-mc hormones? Sorry if I've missed a post explaining, had a lot to catch up this morning! Either way I would be tempted to get bloods done Monday if still no AF, will be hoping for some good news for you! Smile

mamapower - Jaffa cakes are Never Wrong.

I am on 4th day of high with CBFM and getting worried it's going to do all highs and no peak again, grrr!! Surely it wouldn't go to high if there was nothing happening?

Wombat33 · 23/09/2010 09:50

Morning all. Thanks for all the lucky vibes (esp the swimmer vines Izzy and the tropical fertility vibes mummya!!) I'm sending some in your direction too! Still no sign of AF mummya?

!

MamaPower · 23/09/2010 11:17

I just had to share this with you lot! I just announced to my friend that my LH surge had arrived in the nick of time as I have been advised to count the day after LH surge as ov and as day 1 in terms of going for my blood tests 7dpo, any later and I would have been screwed as Phlebotomy only work Mon-Fri so if hadn't surged today I'd have had to wait another cycle!!

Friend "So how do you know"
me "opk poas"
Friend "oh, so that's like a HPT?"
me "yes except I'm using a disgital one so I get a smiley face instead of line"
Friend "a smiley face?!" short pause "so I guess on the other days you just get a sad face?"
Genius! Why hasn't anyone thought of this! I am writing to CB to demand instead of an empty circle we get a sad face!!

MummyA how you doing today?

Hope everyone else ok Smile

Wombat33 · 23/09/2010 12:02

Sorry for my earlier post - I seemed to have missed a whole load of news. Nicks hope AF gets better soon and meeting goes well. Yep, doc thought I could have IBS as well, but it also sending me for another scan to check for infection :( mummyA keeping everything crossed for you.
mammap I'm quite glad there's no unhappy face - I get sad enough at the 'not pregnant' on the HPTs - someone (on here?) suggested the alternatives on HPTs should read 'pregnant' or 'go and have a glass of wine', which I thought sounded good to me :) PS jaffa cakes are always good! Thanks for the info Wiggle I'll pay more attention to my post ov temps, although they don't seem to have gone up a huge amount at all this month Hmm

Hi loola and izzy and anyone I've missed.

As for lurking BFP... that would be great but I don't think so [yet!]. I'm on the 2ww as of yesterday. Think we may have messed up though as we only SWIed on the first day of smiley face on the OPKs and not the second. Am a bit paranoid that we didn't 'try hard enough' even though I know logically it only take the once and the swimmers survive for a couple of days. Still, DH is now abroad again, so 2ww it is.

Went to the second of this week's two reunion dinners last night. Was absolutely lovely, but I think someone is having a cosmic laugh at my expense - I had three pregnant women sitting opposite me!!!

Freezingmyarseoff · 23/09/2010 12:20

Hi all
Just quickly checking in to say AF arrived on Sunday so when someone updates the list can they put me at day 5.

Great news Hairy on the BFP

waves to everyone else. I'll be back properly in a month or so, but house extension is consuming my life at the mo so I've completely lost touch with everything.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 23/09/2010 12:29

wombat and mamap - I'm loving the re-designed OPKs - how about we simplify it, pic of smiley face on ov, and pic of large glass of wine every other day?

nickstermum hope your meeting went ok and you're not suffering too much Sad

MummyAbroad · 23/09/2010 13:36

Hello ladies,

I think I have confused everyone by bombarding you with info (or made a type, too lazy to check) I have never had a BFP (well not since mc) just millions of depressing BFN's and no AF. Thinking about doing the blood test today, I am 14 or 16 DPO, so this would be a good time to do it right?

Can you guys start up a company and start making those OPK's, I want to place an order!Smile

Izzy, this is just a guess about CBFM but maybe its detecting rising estrogen but not LH? If your temps go up, it could be that it missed the LH surge? (mine was short, got it on OPK in morning, tested again in afternoon and it was gone) At least you will have temps to cross ref CBFM now, so you should get some info soon.

Wobblewatcher · 23/09/2010 13:43

Mummyabroad

You put BFP on your post I think that is why I got confused!! Sorry!!!

wobble oops yes, now I see it. Lets hope it was a freudian slip and really means I am BFPSmile

owlshoes · 23/09/2010 13:59

Hello lovelies :)

Izzy that is a genius idea. Perhaps the glass of wine pic could be interspersed with pictures of pate and soft cheeses too?

Also, do you think I could pimp my CBFM to display that instead of boring bars?

youremindmeofthebabe · 23/09/2010 14:02

Hello all! How are you lovely ladies?
I am well, have been really slack this month, and only had one badly timed shag in the last weekShock. I'm just not doing this well this month. In my defence I have found it quite difficult to move on the required days, and am feeling a residual tiredness from the running And I don't even know if I've ovulated, OPK's have showed up nothing, and right now I am not even sure if I am ovulating or not, although quite why I wouldn't be, am not sureConfused. Anyway, my due date is in less than 2 months, and am probably not going to be pg before then, so just having an internal dialogue with myself as to whether to ease off til the new year in the babymaking..

God, that was long, and mememe. very sorry all.

wombat, thanks for sponsoring me, I can't remember if I said it, but ta x I too like the "get a glass of wine" idea. I never buy those sticks as the trauma of seeing not pregnant in writing somehow terrifies me. FX for your 2ww.

izzy is DC(dd?) still on 1/2 days? when do they start fulltime?

mummyA I am wondering now how Charing Cross found you! I have a mental image of consultants trawling mumsnet, although I'm sure they have much better things to do..

Waves to everyone including mamap freezing wobble loola PV carib-moo and nickster and anyone else I've missed

Do you all know that October 15th is babyloss remembrance day? see this website which, if you click on the right side awareness day takes you to a site you can buy ribbons, and tells you when to light a candle in remembrance.

I've bought a ribbon.
