D-oh, hopefully you can all interpret what I've said, some pretty dodgy typing there....

hairytriangle · 28/08/2010 23:22

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/08/2010 23:27

nickstermum · 28/08/2010 23:43

Izzy Cheers.... feeling rather sozzled now
Glad to see you are sister bonding - do you feel better for it?

Thanks hairy - sorry to hear it arrived. :(

To everyone on here who is feeling like crap...

Fondant gets me too... i remember her telling me she was 12 weeks and crying at the time Angry. She knew i was trying and hadnt yet conceived, some people! I have to say tho,in her defence, it was such a shock for her as she was on the pill it took her months to adjust. (still doesnt seem fair tho does it!?) Have to say she is (thank god)now over the moon and waiting for the baby girl to arrive.

Mm dtd... a little scary but ok. glad its done Blush

yay loopy :) v pleased for you

DH did indeed come home with snuggly stuff (although he couldn't find a snuggly nightie so he bought three sets of pyjamas, two of which were three piece things with trousers, a little top and a fluffy jacket). Much fluffiness. Gold star for warm fluffy choices. Except that the top I'm currently wearing is SO fluffy that the damn thing is shedding everywhere!

Spotting stopped, AF still not here, still BFN. WTF!

Although I'm a bit fed up with waiting for AF, I'm kind of glad it didn't arrive yesterday, because that would have meant I needed to go to the clinic today or tomorrow and obviously that wouldn't have been possible so it would have been a wasted cycle. (I'm trying to embrace the glass half full philosophy Wink)

Hope you're all having nice weekends. Anyone SWI this weekend, good luck. And I'll give a great big chocolatey prize to anyone who can beat the 3 a day rule!

DachshundsRule · 29/08/2010 09:10

oh, and thanks for doing the list loopy :)

DachshundsRule · 29/08/2010 09:20

sorry hairy :(

pinkff the weather's crap anyway so TV rather than long walk seems like a reasonable plan

hairytriangle · 29/08/2010 09:49

Morning all and happy Sunday!

I'm back to cd 1. Here we go again on the count down!

hairytriangle · 29/08/2010 09:50

Congrats Loopy :) :) :)

MamaPower · 29/08/2010 09:51

Big whoop for Loopy
Hug for Hairy

Am running around like a nutter, got the ole smiley face from the opk this morning and right on queue as dh called to say he's almost home, just a tad excited about both Grin! Kinda gonna be busy next few days so might be a tad elusive!

Anyway main point of message TMI Alert! Do any of you carry out cervical examination? Well my lovelies, I've done one whole cycle and I gotta tell you it's quite amazing, there is such a difference as the cycle progress's and a notable widening around ov. It's actually easier than you think and is a great indicator of your fertile period. If any of you are interested i'm quite happy to put a little examination technique up here...let me know! PS No silly dances and bending over backwards required...it's easy...honest!

nickstermum · 29/08/2010 10:24

Morning all...

loopy loo YEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!! Congratumalations how fantabulous Grin MMM yeah, it was a bit uncomfy (still tender inside) and it made me think about things i didnt want to think about Sad

Hairy BOOOOOOOOOOO Sad < passes lots of chocolate>

Mama i would indeed be interested in your examination technique... obviously not a physical demonstration ha ha ha but any tips gratefully received. I dont temp, (wouldnt know how tbh) but any tips on identifying OV would be gratefully received other than EW i dont really know what am doing Blush

dachs 3 times a day.. jeez where the hell do you get the time or the energy?!?! Envy am lucky at fertile time to get once every two days

CaribouMoo · 29/08/2010 10:38

Hooray for Loopy fab news, glad things are going well!! Sorry about RTD Hairy x

Nickster we also DTD for the first time the other night and I had a lump in my throat after. Its bizarre its hits you like that isn't it.

Choco twas me that posted the link ,here it is again: www.progesterone.co.uk/
Jolls tells me its very important never to use it until after you have OVd. Then you use it until RTD arrives or longer if you are lucky until 12 weeks. My tub arrived and is gathering dust as I'm scared it will mess up my test results when I am sent to the recurrent MC clinic. So I'm refraining for the time being. Its the serenity cream you want.

MummyA that sounds lovely, am jealous. Just been out hanging up washing and its so cold here I lost sensation in my hands by the time I was finished! We have friends who live in California who go to Costa Rica for their hols and now want to move there for good. They have found a bar/ restaurant for sale that they love and are serisouly contemplating packing in their jobs to go there.

Mama go for it with your cervical masterclass. I am a novice but checked a few times recently and it does change a good deal. I'm all ears.....

Dacsh every cloud and all that. I'm so glad there's no SWI just now, I really don't think I could manage it. I'm away to snotter and cough in the corner!

DachshundsRule · 29/08/2010 10:46

nickster it's not me with the 3 a day, it's knitter - I'm just so impressed that I'm offering a prize to anyone that can beat it! I barely have the energy for 1 - 2 times a day for fertile period.

sorry you're still feeling rough cmoo. hope you feel better soon

DachshundsRule · 29/08/2010 10:50

(although re-reading my post i can see it looks like i was obeying the 3 a day rule myself. maybe i should! not sure DH would be able to manage it though!)

MamaPower · 29/08/2010 11:13

okey dokes here goes BIG TMI ALERT!

Recommend starting on day after af finishes so that you can identify the changes in a full cycle and become familiar with what it feels like at any given stage.

Firstly put one foot up on the edge of the bath or loo, then, Insert your index finger and push up as far as you can, start sweeping around with the flat of your finger. In those first few days after af you will feel a teeny tiny bump, it'll be quite hard too! That teeny tiny insignificant little dimple is the opening to your cervix! bingo!
Continue to do this everyday and as you progress towards ov you will notice that it widens and becomes softer. Note that towards your fertile period the cervix rises so you might have to push up a bit further!
Easy, fingers to the ready girls...of ya go :)

Right loving and leaving you for a few days xx

Velvetcu · 29/08/2010 11:17

Grin loopy yay

nickstermum · 29/08/2010 11:27

ah dachs it did look like you were bragging Grin Envy My DH would run a mile i think

Ok knitter OMG how much energy

Cariboo it did me too. started to cry Sad thought we had got past all this 'needing to dtd at certain time' crap and found it quite upsetting myself. Still - got back on that horsy and u never know :)

Golly also went out on my push bike yesterday - feel quite good althou a sore ASS

mama thanks for that (since i birthed my DS with an episiotomy everything seems to have changed, so lessons are good CHURZ!

MummyA wish i was out in costa rica. Its pissing it down here, am trying to entertain DS who is climbing the walls.

PinkFondantFancy · 29/08/2010 11:40

Hehehe thanks mama! I will give it a go next cycle!

Disaster-DH has declared an embargo on SWI until his bits heal!!!!! Hopefully will be good to go after a 24 hour rest but we've already missed a chunk of this month due to him working abroad for a week sob.

PinkFondantFancy · 29/08/2010 11:43

nickster I have to say in one respect that does make it better as I was about to pull on the judgy pants and rant about how there is free contraception available.... However, I have lost track of how many people have said to me about mc 'well you know you did get pg very quickly after stopping the pill so it was probably that' so I can tell them all to get back into their boxes now. Phew rant over! I am in a foul mood today, no idea why!! :S

cas555 · 29/08/2010 12:40

hello everyone iv been advised by two very nice people to join this group just had mc after trying to concieve for three years been told you are all great so hello!!

nickstermum · 29/08/2010 12:44

Fondant sounds like you are desp in need of a hug and yet more chocolate >

What have you done at your SH's bits then?! overuse?! I have that problem also, (not the overuse obviously) - the trying to juggle SWI time in between job rota's! Im really sorry -BOO

pull on your judgy pants any time you like chick... mine are firmly in place constantly Grin

DachshundsRule · 29/08/2010 12:55

hello cas welcome to our thread

glad to see you found us :)

sorry you're not having a great day pinkff

BackOnceAgain · 29/08/2010 13:14

Hello all. Is it ok if I come in? Just read through your thread and recognised MummyAbroad and others from the thread I started a week and a half ago about my MMC. I'm under a different name but may change back to my 'normal' mn name (not been on for 2 yrs anyway) or a new one as backonceagain isn't exactly catchy Confused

Anyway, if you'll have me, I'm WTTC for the next cycle after my MMC at 16weeks and ERPC on the 17th Aug. I'd never miscarried before and the feelings are intense Sad but reading through your posts has made me feel more 'normal'. Smile And you all seem very lovely...
