The OM has just JIAPed and we are waiting for results, so I'm just doing a bit of background reading and came across this fred. It is really, really encouraging, both about what can be done to improve spermness (motility particularly) and as a general confidence boost (one lass conceived naturally after 4 years of trying).

2 of my closest friends recently got diffed after being told that his JIAP results were so bad they wouldn't even be candidates for IVF. They had a two-pronged strategy: 1 - he started taking shedloads of vitamins, zinc etc, and 2 - they turned off the heated seat in his car!

Must admit I thought it all a bit of a waste of time but literally 2 months later - diff. I have no idea if that was the thing wot did it, but I'll offer it up anyway just in case.

yep, have the boy on wellman conception, no baths, minimal booze, and eating handfulls of pumpkin seeds like they are chocolate buttons :D Only problem is he has just taken up mountain biking (as in 30 k over rough welsh terrain once a week) which needles lady said was prob the worse thing he could do. (no wonder the poor little buggers cant swim straight being battered around the way they are) Oh well can't have everything. If things haven't improved the by the next test at least it will be winter so he'll be going less.

no i expect they will do him again after that. his last one was late june so not much point til late sept. in fact i'd rather leave it a little after that as those boys will have been produced mid june ie when we were being rather hedonistic on holiday.
