Good morning all,

Sorry you are feeling so down DG, I really do wish you lots of luck.

I took my temp this morning and it has shot up even more so took a test and can't believe that on my first normal cycle since I came off of the pill I got a BFP!!! Grin

I really can't quite believe it yet and am trying not to get too excited as I know that the worrying will start now!! Would quite like the sickness to go away now though!!

Danilou22 · 24/10/2010 09:04

It is exactly a year since I stopped the pill!

spilttheteaagain · 24/10/2010 09:33

Congratulations Dani!!! GrinGrinGrin

Fab news!

tory79 · 24/10/2010 09:40

Wow congratulations Dani!

I caved and tested again this morning with a Boots test, and it was negative again. Temp dropped a bit this morning although still above the coverline, and still no af - grr!

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/315af5

As this is 16dpo, I guess that means it is pretty unlikely that I am pregnant!

rocketleaf · 24/10/2010 10:38

Congrates dani thats great news!

not necessarily tori some people don't get a BFP until DPO18. As is the mantra, it ain't over til the Red lady sings. Fingers crossed for you.

digi good luck on tuesday, I think it will be better to know. As posted on your other thread, I am not looking forward to the next 10 days (dating scan on the 3rd at 9+6) DH did say I should think about bringing the scan forward but no idea how to do that so I think I am just going to have to wait. I am just hoping for both of us that its just that we are in for an easy first trimester.

digitalgirl · 24/10/2010 11:10

Hooray dani amazing news! So pleased for you - after a year of waiting you must be so relieved. Congratulations and embrace the symptoms!!!

digitalgirl · 24/10/2010 11:11

Fingers crossed for your scan too rocket

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 24/10/2010 12:57

Congrats Dani - that is fab news Grin

Good luck for Tuesday digi.

My temps are still up and FF has now acknowledged that it has gone triphasic www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2de1f3 Grin although, symptoms have subsided somewhat. TBH I was out on an 8 mile trek up the Cheviots yesterday so I was slightly distracted, rather that being sat at work constantly homing in on any twinge or wave of nausea!

Today, nips are sore and boobies feel slightly lumpy (although that tends to happen post-ov anyway).
Have demolished a HUGE bacon sarnie this morning - couldn't get it down quick enough Blush
Feel shattered, but that could be because of the walk yesterday and the fact that I didnt have a very good night's sleep last night.

AF should be due on Wednesday, and FF has given me test date of Thursay!!

LadyGoneGaga · 24/10/2010 17:51

Congrats Dani.

I don't know how you can bear not to test Ifatfirst! Looks good to me.

Hope you're ok Digi.

My temps are buggering about again. Up and down. Have a tummy bug today which I think accounts for the silly temp rise this morning. I would be VERY surprised if I ovved on cd10.

Truffkin · 24/10/2010 18:10

Congrats Dani and here's to a healthy pregnancy

IfAtFirst looks really good, good luck with waiting until Thursday, that's somw willpower!

I tested this morning and BFN. Temp dropped slightly today, although still above the coverline. Have no symptoms of either pg or AF but just hoping it turns up soon and doesn't keep me hanging around. Had a nightmare with long cycles but last 2 have been reasonably normal. 13 DPO now and using test w/ 25mgs sensitivity so believe BFN to be accurate.

Bit gutted as thought we'd had a textbook month but focussing on the positives and looking forward to another month of charting. It really does help me feel like I'm doing something to keep control.

Sorry you're not well Lady hope it's short lived

Truffkin · 24/10/2010 18:12

Chart is here for anyone interested

tory79 · 24/10/2010 18:14

Hi all

ERTD arrived about 2 hours after I tested this morning - serves me right!!!

If you don't mind I would like to join your thread officially, now I know this ain't my month!!

So, a bit about me. 31, been married for 2 years. DH is 39. I came off the pill at the end of June after being on it since I was 15. For the first couple of months I was more interested in seeing if I would get any kind of a normal cycle, and I think I have been reasonably lucky in that I have had 30/24/24 and now 28, so things seem to have settled down ok....

This month is the first month I've tried temping - my god its addictive! My laptop now lives by the side of the bed so in the morning I wake up, take temp, enter straight in to FF! Oh dear Grin

Obviously we are TTC number 1 for me, however, my husband already has a daughter - this is a bit of a sore subject as she was conceived accidentally and extremely quickly with his ex (6 weeks after they started going out!!) I was kind of hoping we might follow suit, obviously we haven't, and it just makes it that bit harder, getting a negative result, and knowing its not quite the same for DH, as he's not waiting for his first child. Ho hum :( Plus I have a sneaky feeling he just assumes it will happen quickly and easily for us, like it did for them when they weren't even trying!

Anyway, look forward to chatting.

Tory xx

Truffkin · 24/10/2010 18:39

Hi Tory, welcome to the thread. I also record my temp first thing but do it my phone then sync with my FF account so I don't have to get up so early!

It sounds like you've got relatively predictable cycles (although bugger AF for making you wait 4 days then springing it on you this morning!) so hopefully charting can pinpoint ovulation to help you time things well.

I'm just waiting for AF now to start a new cycle and get a clearer view of my luteal phase length as this was my first full month temping.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 24/10/2010 19:47

One of you lovely lot have just given me 30 free extra VIP days on fertility friend Grin
Just as I was getting the waring that it was going to expire in 7 days. (wasnt sure whether to continue in the hope that didnt need it Grin)

Thanks girls xx

Orchid12 · 25/10/2010 08:33

Hi,
Have just changed my name back to the orginal to avoid confusion - hope it works!

Dani - woohooo! A year is a long time to wait (just coming up to that myself) so that's fab news.

If - your chart is looking great. Will keep my fingers crossed.

Truffles and Tory - sorry to hear you this month is a no go for you guys. It's crap!!

My chart is still a bit odd looking, even for me. I'm currently 12DPO so haven't got too much longer to wait. On the plus side, if I'm not PG, my FC appt is coming round very quickly now so I at least feel like plan B can come into play soon. I think I will almost feel a sense of relief to hand it all over to someone else. It's daunting, but I don't think Mr O and I can cope with this emotional rollercoaster for too much longer.

Danilou22 · 25/10/2010 09:51

Thank you all for your lovely messages. I tested again this morning and still pregnant and the digi is saying 3+weeks!! Just want to get rid of this horrible cold now to see how I really feel!

I phoned the docs and they have asked me to go in this morning which seems very quick but I suppose it getting the ball rolling.

I just want to say to everyone to not give up any hope. Please have a look at how terrible my charts have been, I am not sure how we managed it this month we have hardly even had sex!!

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2e3054/rss7212.xml

Will be staying around for a bit longer if that is ok and there is of course a possibility that I will have to chart again as it is very very very early days and if there is one thing this thread has taught me is that you can not take anything for granted.

Lots of love to you all x

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 25/10/2010 10:20

Many congrats Dani . I hope your symptoms keep on coming IYKWIM!

Ifat first - fingers crossed.

Welcome Tory. i'm relatively new to this thread too. DP and I have been TTC No2 since June. DD took 12m to conceive (she's 2 now), so I'm not expecting any miracles. She was conceived without any assistance, so I'm hoping we're still working OK.

Like your DH, DP has a DD from his previous relationship so i know how you feel. Don't try to see it as a competetition if you can - if he's like mine, he'll see it as a completetly new stage in his life.
We had lots of trouble from his ex and his DD - she burst into tears when he told her I was pg (she was 18 at the time Hmm) but it's all good now. She loves her little sister and although we don't see her very often as she's now married and saving hard for a home, we get on really well.

DP and I are quite old I'm 38 and he's 43 Shock.

Hoping all the new pregnancies are sticky!

newyearsday · 25/10/2010 10:20

Congratulations dani you must be on top of the world!! hope you have a happy, healthy pregnancy.

If your chart looks lovely, fingers crossed for you.

digi good luck for tomorrow xx

rocket good luck too for the 2nd xx

Get well soon lady

gutted for those who just got AF

sorry if I've missed anyone

my 12wk scan is at 2pm, totally cr*pping myself...

spilttheteaagain · 25/10/2010 10:26

Wishing you all the luck in the world today newyearsday. I was cr*pping myself before my 12 week scan too, it's terrifying. Is this the first scan you've had for this pregnancy? Will be thinking of you and crossing everything that you get good news and some lovely pictures. (Good luck consuming all that water!)

newyearsday · 25/10/2010 10:36

Thanks split [lump in throat emoticon], you're very kind. Yes it's the 1st scan, the last 7wks have gone so slowly. Did you have a nice time with your mum this weekend? Hope you got some lovely mum cuddles xx

tory79 · 25/10/2010 11:03

Thanks MrsA. I do get on well with his daughter (she is only 5!) and also her brother, not DH's, long story! And I have no doubt it will all be totally new for him - he split with his ex before his dd was even born, so as far as he's concerned, he's never been a 'proper' father. I think sd will be quite excited about a new baby, she has asked about it a few times!

Its just the speed at which they had a baby gets me down - makes me feel I am somehow not as good or something, I don't know. Even though I do realise it is very early days for us too!

xxx

spilttheteaagain · 25/10/2010 11:19

Hopefully seeing my mum tomorrow, we had a long chat on the phone yesterday (they'd been flying all night, only landed at 7.30am on Sunday so were just a bit knackered!). Still waiting for my mum hugs...
Oddly I am suddenly really concerned about what I say and not wanting to upset her by being upset myself.

Welcome tory please do join us Smile.

newyearsday · 25/10/2010 11:49

split you need the support and your mum is there for you, don't worry about upsetting her. This is the time when others put you first xx

TerrysNo2 · 25/10/2010 11:59

what is triphasic?

spilt I'm sure your mum won't care about her feelings today IYSWIM, she will be thinking about her little girl! Good luck

Congrats Dani!

IfatFirst I'm not sure I could be so patient as you!

newyearsday I hope the scan shows a healthy bean and you enjoy the special moment.

rocketleaf · 25/10/2010 13:18

terry triphasic is where your chart shows a second temp rise about a week after OV. This often (although not always) indicates a pregnancy as your temp rises again after implantation. Its a good sign but not conclusive. (my chart looked triphasic the month BEFORE my BFP)

if lovely looking chart there, so orderly. :o Finger x'ed for you this month.

hope all goes well this avo NYD

spilt I agree you shouldn't worry about upsetting your mum, she will just want to be there for you and I am sure she is expecting some tears. xx

tory good things come to those who wait :o Hopefully you wont have to wait TOO long tho.
