Late AF but -ive test!!

Thought I might consult the mighty MN oracle re the above problem! AF was due on Sat but has yet to turn up. I know its not long but usually am like clockwork! Two digital tests (Sat and Sun) both -ive. I feel sick and had sickness and upset tum Friday night / sat morning. I also had rotten gastric flu for first two weeks of cycle so didnt really eat for week or so and was really knocked out. BD been veeerrry limited but we are vaguely ttc no 2 so was kind of around possible ov time.
I don't feel preg except feeling queasy, could illness have delayed things or could this be false negative? Am quite terrified at thought of having two but slightly broody at the same time!! Just being driven mad by this uncertainty!! Any helpful thoughts?

I had negative tests for four weeks but was pg!

Was about to exactly the same post whitneybaby! Am 2 days late, -ve tests, feel totally exhausted with big boobs ( not tender). No cramps like normal AF. BD was at thw right time but not particularly frequent due to my shift pattern. Cant remember any particular feeling with prev pregnancies.

Really trying to get my hopes up .....

I too was due Fri/Sat and am still AF free (although the fair I think it's on it's way). I am still trying to shake of a fairly horrid kidney infection though and I've had AF delayed due to illness in the past.

What I'm trying to say is that it is possible that you have been delayed by the gastro. That sort of thing can really knock your body about for ages after you're better. Fingers crossed for you and Fled that it's just to early to show positive though.

I dont have any other symptoms except feeling a bit sick. Last time boobs were like rockets from start and v painful. Def not like that now. Have had sushi lunch just in case I am as was something I missed hugely last time !
In my heart of hearts am pretty sure I'm not but would like AF to arrive so I can make a more concerted effort next month!
Really nice to hear I'm not alone with all this -ive test rubbish though! Sending BabyDust to those waiting for positives!!

I was ALSO due on Saturday and no sign of AF... did a test first thing this morning and BFN booo.

I just wish AF would arrive - until it does a tiny part of me thinks I could still be pg. To think this is my first month of trying...!! You'd think I could be a teeeeeeny bit more patient

I was due Friday and still no AF. Funny there's so many of us late this time. I tested Saturday afternoon and got a bfn so I'm now trying to hold out until Saturday.

pg tests are more accurate the longer past ovulation you are, so you can easily get a negative and still be pregnant in the early days.

I'm also waiting for one or t'other ie AF or a bfp! Have done 3 tests, all negative, now on day 47 and nowt. Off to the doctor's tonight.

its our 1st month ttc #3 but in all fairness it took 2 months with ds1 and i was permenant nights then, one night with ds2 (only 11months between my boys) so anything is possible ... (need a clutching at straws emoticon!)

have a 27-28 day cycle but will try to hold off testing again til fri although the suspense is killing me

luckbealady I'm on day 44,
I'm off to docs tomorrow although I have an underactive thyroid so I am blaming it on that, My back is abit achey, but my boobs are reall sore at night when I take my bra off, so I'm really confused,

normally if I'm late I take a test and AF comes that night, but this time I have taken 2 and still no AF!

PlumBumMum I'm exactly the same, if I do a test AF is there immediately, but not this time!

I don't know what to think, I have no kids, so can't compare. Fingers crossed! Let me know what your doc says. It's so hard not to get excited...

Meant to say I'd tested as well. Of course BFN. One on Fri morning, one today. Will keep testing every day until AF arrives (well why not?).

Last time it was this late it arrived on the Tues looking very smug. Did have spotting that time though, and nothing at all now.

Ladies you have amused me.. I am trying not to test again till Weds morning but secretly wondering if tomorrow morning might be ok ! I can only cope with the uber expensive tell you in words rather than those lines in a box thingy too so am doubly paying through the nose for my poas addiction! Like others on here with dd 1 I took v little time to fall but really if I am pg its practically a miracle ...

AF making an attempt to come here but still going to get bloods done as we will be TTC in next couple of months so want to get myself sorted!

For those who are TTC for the first time I got pg in the second month or trying for my 2dcs so it does happen, and with dc1 I just knew before the lines appeared on the test

No AF here. Still BFN on the test, but starting to feel a bit pg.

Don't really know how I felt in the first month of DS (apart from a lack of AF and throwing up lots of lovely Italian food) as I wasn't trying to get pg, so wasn't looking for any signs.

Morning choccy I am not going to test until Saturday (she says). And last night I defiantly had a glass of champagne just to coax one or the other out.
Still nothing.

What do you mean about feeling pg? What symptoms? I felt really sick when I went to bed last night (reverse morning sickness?) and my boobs look WEIRD. But maybe that's because I have never really studied them before

No news here, last night the doc just said 'let's do a duffment test and then if that's neg we'll start the bloods etc'. So I've dropped off the obligatory jamjar of wee this morning, but won't find out until tomorrow! Apparently patience is a virtue.

PBM when you say AF is trying to come, is it maybe just spotting??

Hmm well I failed compltely on the patience front and did another test this morning. First one done "first thing" and still neg! Am now positive not preg but irritated by lack of af as feel like cant start focussed efforts!!

CBL I love that you had a cheeky glass of fizz to coax one or the other out!

A duffment test is to test whether you're up the duff!
