Thread 3 - the one where things get serious

[Reastie]

All my plans at getting organised in the last thread left me as I realised the thread with referrals was already up and running, so the one I set up I'll link to once the current one runs out!

Welcome one and all to this safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations .

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread here

A reminder that we don't use affiliated links on here please

If there’s anything you think would be useful or good to include in this post then please do tag me and let me know here (or DM me). Also always happy to hear nominations for a thread title.

Think you can call the shop, it's based in Isle of Wight. There is a website but think they only have the really expensive fossils on it.
The fossil advent calendar is £30 and they also do a gemstone one for £19

hampers.com have their Christmas hampers available now. You can get 20% off during October using the code 9KZRP343

Even I'm tempted by this Louise's magic water stuff and I've never heard of it, don't wear make up and the only girls I have to buy for are either under 6 or over 50 😅

The call of the bargain is strong! I

Clearly a mistake and I don't know if they will honour it but Mountain Warehouse have some adult size 6 Jodhpur boots £2 instead of £150!!!

https://www.mountainwarehouse.com/p/mb1307/bareback-footwear/idaho-storm-womens-waterproof-jodhpur-boots/brown/

I've just had an email saying plouise are despatching the magazine (which I didn't want) but no mention of the micellar water (which my daughter does want) - anyone else? Do I have to go incognito and double my spend to a whole £2??

The micellar water is actually called the magazine. No idea why as ive received mine and theres no magazine involved!

I just ordered some of the boots- £5 shipping. ACORN gives 20% off items sold and shipped by Mountain Warehouse (not the boots mentioned above).

Just ordered the boots too, didn’t put two and two together and realise they’re meant for horse riding so any deals on horses let me know 😆

Also here for bargain horses so I can use the bargain boots.

We need a laughing button don’t we 😉😂😂😂

Boots showing at £149 at checkout ☹️

size 6 in brown is £2. Size 5 was £149. Just placed my order.

Candle Warmers on offer again - I got for my daughter at uni last year and my son in a flat so no flames and then ended up treating myself when they were cheap again after Christmas as they both loved them - they are great.

@DaisyDooleyits only the size 6 for £2

@Justkeepsmilingx quick question re. the candle warmers...what happens to the wax?! Presumably it melts but doesn't get consumed. Do you pour it off or anything like that? 🤔

The water comes attached to a pretty piece of folded card which I assume is the "magazine"?

I don’t have one but I believe you pour off the melted wax once the scent starts to go for it to then melt the fresh wax underneath and refresh the fragrance.

I use it myself 😆 their skincare is actually really good

Where is this offer please?

Thanks for the prime deals info! Managed to get a Firestick for DD for her bedroom which is on her Xmas list for £19.99 👌🥰

Thanks @TheGriffle Just debating for my teenage DD and wondering whether hot wax might get too messy (she loves a bit of mess!)

Amazon

I got myself one of these as a little gift to ward off any end of summer blues. I put it on in my bedroom in the evening and it's a lovely warm cosy light - the scent from the candle is an added bonus.

Yes, you pour the wax off from time to time. @verstoppen I remember as a teen having candles in my room and using the warm wax to make little figurines and things

This one doesn't work for me, anyone else having any success?

Thanks for the prime info just bought the latest echo kids down to £29 going to have it as a joint present for both DDs who will be sharing a room soon so I’m hoping it will get plenty of use 🤞🤞
