Thread 3 - the one where things get serious

All my plans at getting organised in the last thread left me as I realised the thread with referrals was already up and running, so the one I set up I'll link to once the current one runs out!

Welcome one and all to this safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations Smile .

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread here

A reminder that we don't use affiliated links on here please

If there’s anything you think would be useful or good to include in this post then please do tag me and let me know here (or DM me). Also always happy to hear nominations for a thread title.

Oh god. I have now succumbed to the Plouise deal. My 11 yead old niece is into make up and skincare atm - if I avoid the bad botch stuff, is that something she might be interested in?!

There's a cute teddy collection which looks child friendly

fishfingersandchipsagain · 30/09/2026 20:36

I can’t believe I am such a sheep. A whole basket-load of Plouise and I don’t have anyone to give it to 😅I figured there is bound to be a teen girl recipient in one of the Christmas giving tree things (eg the Dunelm one).

I somehow had £7 of reward points despite definitely never having shopped there before, so it was about £17 delivered for mystery bag, 4 lip duos and 2 micellar waters.

My Starfish order finally arrived and I got the wrong order!! Ahhh, so annoying.

I think I read other people on here that that happened to. So if your initials are CD - I've got your order!! I've emailed them...

You need to apply the 40% off voucher which comes off at checkout and brings it down to £23.99

I’ve just gone for the Micellar water for £1 but keep trying to come up with an excuse reason to buy the full bargain bundle. I don’t have anyone to buy it for! My sophisticated niece is way past it!

IlovePond · 30/09/2026 21:02

I ordered the bargain PLouise micellar water yesterday and was quite pleased with myself.

Quite why I have gone in again tonight and bought a whole basket of stuff just to see if I could get the codes to stack, (I could, but it was fiddly), is anyone’s guess😹 It must have been my inner teenager trying to escape 🙈

Depending on what arrives, I may donate some of it, but I get through a lot of lip balms and shampoo is just shampoo after all!

Mumofboys1317 · 30/09/2026 21:04

Urgh. No matter what i do, the discount code gets automatically applied when I add the mystery bag to my basket. 😭 #plouise

If you go to checkout you can remove it, then add again when you're ready

Hello. Was there any paperwork/invoices in your box? I haven't opened mine but don't want to gift it unopened if there's an invoice inside. Many thanks

No, just the items shown in the photo which were in a polythene bag

Lobsterteapot · 30/09/2026 22:16

Plouise code not working at all for me 🤷‍♀️

I’m so sorry, this had me in stitches. Didn’t know it was possible to buy someone else’s basket 😂
I hope you they didn’t cost you too much and you can either return them or discover you like them though!

Thelifeofawife · 30/09/2026 22:51

@OneCoralHare Thank you for the Bohomoon deal, ordered a nice selection of rings (for myself 😅) and a necklace for DSD, got a basketful for £40.
I added gift packaging but I assume they will package the whole lot rather than individual, so I’ll need to get a nice box for DSD necklace

Thelifeofawife · 30/09/2026 22:52

DSD has done pretty well out of this thread in the last couple of hours 🤣
Not even had her birthday or Christmas lists yet 😅

Jurassic Jim's fossil advent calendars are back on his Facebook. I remember they were popular last year

XxTigerlilyxx · 30/09/2026 23:00

Has anyone got the free p louise mystery bag yet to know what's on them?

It’s usually a couple of items chosen at random and the gift bag is gorgeous!
I got one a couple of months ago
