All my plans at getting organised in the last thread left me as I realised the thread with referrals was already up and running, so the one I set up I'll link to once the current one runs out!

Welcome one and all to this safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations Smile .

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread here

A reminder that we don't use affiliated links on here please

If there’s anything you think would be useful or good to include in this post then please do tag me and let me know here (or DM me). Also always happy to hear nominations for a thread title.

Very niche question for ballet mums. I'm looking to buy a pair of dance warm up booties for an 11 year old who does ballet at a reasonably high level (has danced at ENB Christmas ballet type performance level), so would prefer to get a recognisable good quality brand.

Do Bloch ever have sales or shall I just get them now?

I'd get them now, especially if you want a particular colour. There's 10% off if you sign up for emails on the Bloch site at the moment, but I don't know how much you need to spend to qualify.

The pale colours look dirty fairly quickly by the way. A lot of young dancers suddenly decide that black is cool at around her age. My dd had burgundy ones, but they don't seem to sell that colour now.

Just gone on my other email to order another and somehow it’s given me two of them for free! 👌🥰

Last year I purchased "To The Women" for MIL after a recommendation on here. Has anyone seen anything similar this year please? MIL doesn't 'need' anything but I like to get a few thoughtful bits for her.

Theraffarian · 28/09/2026 18:50

@hugsandpugs thanks for that , had to go incognito to order the two free ones , fab stocking fillers for £1 postage .

YahooKangaroo · 28/09/2026 18:51

B&M have initial mugs which look lovely, would make a nice gift with a hot chocolate stirrer.

YahooKangaroo · 28/09/2026 18:52

I tried to post a photo but not worked, they are £3.50 each, Christmas style and all letters in stock at my local.

Here you are. There's a med student, an Environmental Geoscience grad, a few football fanatics, DS who did Geography as part of his degree, a history mad wee one & a Fortnite addict all in there! Books are the BEST gift. Great as a little add on.

Delighted with 50% off.

That’s an amazing price for This Way Up! I will be buying that 😊

captainflash · 28/09/2026 19:29

@hugsandpugs great spot! Have managed to grab two of the plouise micellar water for £1. They will go nicely with my £10 benefit mascaras for presents for my nieces!
thank you

Had a reply from Starfish, they apologised for the confusing updates and confirmed my tracking has been updated and it’s on its way to me.

Checked DPD and says it’s being delivered tomorrow.

Just in case anyone else with a Blue Light Card is a plum like me and didn't realise, you can buy discounted giftcards for various shops in the app and they will be delivered instantly so you can spend them instore there and then.

I have saved about 15 quid in three shops this morning by purchasing gift cards for the exact amount I was spending literally whilst I was in the queue.

Sorry if that is stating the obvious but I thought you could only buy giftcards in advance so this was new news to me.

I use it for my supermarket shopping all the time! I pay £7.99 for clubcard plus do get 2 x 10% off discounts a month and always get 10% off clothing. I do 2 medium shops a month and save a bit with the discount - more than the £7.99! Plus I buy the BLC vouchers and save 4% on those too! As they say, every little helps!! I also use them for other supermarkets, Boots, M&S etc. it’s such a good saving and I usually top up my gift vouchers just before I get to the till.
just be careful though as I used Boots vouchers for a shop that was to be delivered to Edinburgh airport boots but it arrived 4 days late, after my flight and they just gave me an online credit so I couldn’t use it in the shop.

Great news I’m glad you’ve had an update. This was my reply from them. Unsure whether to wait as they can’t provide an update or just cancel it was something I ordered for my DD for Xmas 🎅

It’s really good! I’ve actually used this exact one and my DD too. It leaves the skin clean and soft 🥰 Smells amazing too ❤️

hugsandpugs · 28/09/2026 20:28

Does anyone know if gym shark does a Black Friday sale? My DS likes some stuff on their site for Xmas but unsure whether they’ll likely come down in price

Puffalicious · 28/09/2026 20:29

I don't have anyone to buy PLouise for, but for £1 it'll be great for the charity collection. Thank you ❤️

It’s not Christmassy, but the amazing KitchenAid scissors are down to £5.97 on Amazon.
I’m going to be getting a couple because they are amazing!
