Never seems to get very hot where I am.

Rain in summer = petrichor (?) which is one of my favourite smells.

That was genuine. She posted that she couldn’t stop scrolling tik tok and was yearning for Xmas when we’ve just had it. She’s now said she’s spent the day doomscrolling. It’s not a bad thing to suggest she might want to try and enjoy the time we’re in rather than pine for something else.

Also, I’m not particularly following Christmas. I only joined in January so, if I am, that’s incidental.

Oh if only she kept her Christmassy thoughts to the Christmas section.

However, I need to find Christmassy people on instagram now.

Either you are following it or not. Do you want me to show you how to unfollow it? I have many many sections that I have unfollowed. This means they don’t come up in Active. I can still see them, but I have to deliberately search for them.

Do you feel the same about all the people complaining about the dark and cold from October onwards? Do you call them a strange breed of people?

I think that this yearning for Christmas is a deep rooted desire for innocent times away from war and ugliness and a desire to immerse in nostalgia. Most films are happy and moral whereas life at present simply is not.

Not true.. everything comes up in active whether you follow or not

Active threads does tell you the board the post is on. If you don't want to see threads about Christmas, you can:

1. ignore any thread about Christmas;
2. ignore anything in active threads which clearly states it's on the Christmas board; and
3. hide the Christmas board (like I've hidden the Royal Family board!) so the 'unseasonal' Christmas threads don't show on active at all.

Making a conscious choice to come onto a thread about Christmas / on the Christmas board to snark about said thread is seriously unnecessary behaviour!

You can hide threads from active, maybe do that instead!

I have no idea why everyone is so obsessed with “but but but it’s in active”.

At least one of those posters has been here for years, and I can’t understand how they don’t know the basics of how this site works.

And they’re so flippin’ rude.
