I'm taking a punt that this one might see us until Christmas. Will likely live to be proved wrong but let's go with the punt!

I’ve had the late ordered degusta calendar and the popcorn pack delivered. Degusta
took a few days but came about the 16th, popcorn came on Friday.

Mine arrived a week later, or thereabouts. Sorry yours has been delayed 🤦‍♀️

My Zavvi order arrived yesterday. Despite the delay I'm really happy with the blankets and jumpers!

had a generic email from them yesterday to let me know that they know they’re running late. I tried to cancel but as it’s being processed it’s too late. Will probably save for birthdays if they arrive by march.

This makes sense! Although I popped into Matalan after working on Friday hoping to get some stocking fillers I'd seen and the whole Christmas shop section was suitcases and coat hangers etc 🙄

I’ve not got my Zavvi and since it’s mainly Xmas things, no use if it’s not before !

This is my first time following these threads. I’m kind of relieved that it has slowed down a bit, as my poor credit card was taking some punishment! But I do like the festive chat, and will start following the thread much earlier next year.

I stop online shopping a bit earlier than most, I’m Highlands & Islands and everything takes a couple of days extra to arrive. Plus bad weather can mean incoming mail is delayed, so placing a late-ish order means there’s a good chance it won’t get here in time.

Hoping someone can let me know the best place I can order a photo calendar? Appreciate may arrive after Xmas now- thanks all

Annoying that RL shopping yesterday (wasn't looking, just collecting one thing & meeting others for brunch) there were loads of sales on, & you always worry things have been slashed, but what I don't know won't kill me.

Off to 'Gladiators' later as our big Christmas event. Thank God for the bargains in light of the ticket prices!😱.

@Puffalicious we went to gladiators live a couple of weeks ago and it was great! Have a fab time I'm a bit jealous we're not going again.

It was a while back now, so can't remember who posted about Gardening Express, but my plants arrived yesterday and I am really pleased with them, especially the mini Christmas trees.

To all those waiting on Zavvi goodies, mine arrived very quickly after they were despatched (think it was Royal Mail 48hr service), so don't give up hope!

I took ds to a calendar shop and he thankfully wanted a different (not Barcelona) calendar so all is good!!

Gah! Just found out that we are having to get a token idea for DH's uncle, who is unexpectedly visiting after 5 years.

What do you get for an eccentric 70 something man who loves pink and rarely leaves the town where he lives? Amazon or IRL are about my only options (have a lot of the normal shops nearby and can slack off work to get something if needed)

I had issues with zavvi last year, they were really slow on posting. I haven’t used them this year.

Just a quick note for anyone who had Amazon Prime. I ordered a diary for DD for Christmas earlier this week with 'Prime next day delivery' Amazon often use Royal Mail and its now showing as delayed, expected around 23rd so I'm potentially looking at it not being here for Christmas (I've told DD that hopefully it will be here, ready to use for the New Year) Obviously, I know I could cancel / get a refund potentially, but she really wants it as its a specific one she asked for.
