Newmama4321 · 06/12/2025 23:14

We have a beautiful 10 month old baby girl ❤️

yoshiblue · 06/12/2025 23:27

No crackers! Waste of money, I’ve bought each person a small table gift instead!

MrsLindaBelcher · 07/12/2025 11:51

New home and newborn baby! After a high risk pregnancy and a traumatic C-section I’m totally unorganised and dreading doing some last minute shopping when I can finally drive again. Shopping online has been hard work when I enjoy browsing in person.

CheshireCat1 · 07/12/2025 21:37

My lovely Mum won’t be with us, it’ll be our first Christmas without her.

Panama2 · 08/12/2025 14:47

I am now a widow

Allthesnowallthetime · 08/12/2025 21:48

@CheshireCat1 @Panama2

So sorry for those who are also without a loved one this year 😥

elm26 · 08/12/2025 21:57

We will have an almost 4 month old son 🩵

StruggleFlourish · 09/12/2025 02:40

Lost my partner

StampOnTheGround · 09/12/2025 03:02

A 9 month old beautiful boy (so also being able to drink!)

StampOnTheGround · 09/12/2025 03:02

Sorry for those who have lost people this year, I have been there before a few years ago ❤️

anothercortisolqueen · 11/12/2025 00:38

Me too

Hope you are healing well!
I suppose it’s one way of avoiding cooking Christmas dinner 🙈😊

Namechangefordaughterevasion · 11/12/2025 07:52

For years I have bought mince pies, cheeses and fancy flavoured creams only to throw them out in mid January. I have not ordered any this year.

PermanentTemporary · 11/12/2025 07:54

New great nephew - actually also a new great niece, but we won’t see her until January.

Rocknrollstar · 11/12/2025 08:15

Not going away

havingamarvelloustimeruiningeverything · 11/12/2025 09:33

I have one less stocking to fill 😢 but one more tree present to buy!
adult dd moved out this year and has got engaged so for the first ever time, will not be here on Christmas morning. It hit me yesterday when I realised I now have no one to watch the romcom Christmas movies with on Christmas Eve. Time for new traditions to be made

I won’t have my lovely dad 💔

Same 💔

ByQuaintAzureWasp · 11/12/2025 10:38

I will be in the UK

rafeal · 11/12/2025 11:44

The state of the economy means I’m stressed about spending money at what is normally a bit of a blow out time of year. Have cancelled a few meals out with friends and family. Redundancy is an ever present fear for DH and reemployment options in his 50s not looking good in his industry. Things seem to be going downhill quite rapidly.

Still we haven’t lost anyone and everyone’s healthy. Strength to all those who have lost someone or is struggling.

OneCleverPinkFawn · 11/12/2025 13:09

We aren't hosting this year, so no cooking. Takeaway with cheesy Hallmark movies, here I comeeeee!

LoudSnoringDog · 11/12/2025 13:11

I have breast cancer this year. We are being positive though, but I’ve noticed that my adult children ( bless them) have definitely made an effort since we told them (2 weeks ago) to make sure it’s a good one

Yes thank you (despite the hot flushes and insomnia ) , I’m three weeks post op so managed to dodge it, having a quite one alone on Xmas day and letting the family do the big Boxing Day bash, instead of me this year. Hope you are all healed too 😊

Mathsbabe · 11/12/2025 19:52

DS will be with us, he was in Germany last year. Christmas Eve will be at DD home, really looking forward to that.

theresnolimits · 11/12/2025 19:57

I won’t have my lovely mum. But I will have a beautiful new granddaughter. Circle of life.
