Welcome to Christmas 2025!

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread here and share around the joy/referral perks.

I ordered a Fahlo bracelet last Sunday and it is now showing as being delivered today by RM. 🤞it’s the right bracelet and card as I only ordered one

Daisiesanddaffodils24 · 06/12/2025 09:19

@SpamIAm a naked marshmallow toasting kit?

IlovePond · 06/12/2025 09:23

@RainbowZebraWarrior - I so wish I could come and visit your lovely stall - I have been in awe of your bee-related activities ever since you mentioned them on another thread!

Good luck with your sales - I hope it is a lovely and successful day for everyone involved!

On a related note: I am hoping to get to the Rochester market tomorrow, (I have to do some work today 😿)

The little stalls in the Pantiles at Tunbridge Wells are also worth a visit if anyone is nearby, but I wouldn’t necessarily make a special visit.

I am still waiting for mine ordered on 25th! I got sent tracking details on Wednesday but all it says is waiting for sender to dispatch. Rather disappointed so far. Just hoping when they do actually send it it is correct.

Received my Joe & Sephs popcorn today and very impressed. I bought 5 of the different boxes and all have different flavours in so that’s nursery and ‘household’ gifts sorted and makes a lovely change to biscuits

Oh I hope you find somewhere lovely to go.

For anyone in the North East of England, the North Shields Christmas Market is on this weekend in our lovely town centre Square. It promises to be an extra special one this year after last year's was cancelled due to a storm. DD and I will have a stall indoors this year (we are on the ground floor of the library just for today) as part of the community hub. We sell our own honey and beeswax candles and melts on a not for profit basis. Anyone local, please do come along and say hello - there's free tea and biscuits in the library too!

Edited

Good luck with your stall.
We did the South Shields market on 22nd as it was my birthday, but found it disappointing. Virtually no stalls outside and the indoor ones were very samey. The Hexham one we had intended to go to was cancelled due to weather forecast so we ended up at Brockbushes.
I do hope you do well today.

Don't suppose anyone has spotted this in stock anywhere please?

No, but they’re lovely and my daughter would love. We went with the baby monsters (so very cute) and the baby Santa one (with the little grotto thing)…
The best place locally to us is an independent toy store that does lots of collectibles for adults. They usually have loads of things that I’ve not seen anywhere else or on line- often stuff that’s oos. I’ll check there next week when I go past!

RHS Plant shops sell them, but they can be ££

Here is the online link, although I think they have a lot more IRL shops

I've seen terrariums in Morrisons and B&M

Just a note on those waiting for Fahlo. This is my 3rd year buying them and even though shipping takes a while mine have always turned up before Xmas and I am usually a December shopper. This is the first year they have wrapped the cards. Seems pointless as they never used to and if you are buying as a gift you have to unwrap first to check. I ordered 3 for my daughter and they all arrived but she has now written to Santa and the one at the top of the list I haven’t ordered and is out of stock. (If anyone has a red panda on an the evergreen bracelet and had buyers remorse let me know please 🤣)

does anyone know if Tu at Sainsbury’s will have a clothing sale before Xmas? I’m a Tescos shopper and they often have 25% off F&F but I’ve seen some PJs my mate would love in Tu. I’ve already bought for her so trying to keep it as cheap as possible.

im also looking for tasty and nicely packed Florentines. Mum loves the Tesco ones but for a gift I would like to get her some she won’t just add to her weekly shop.

I used my £20 off anthro but honestly I’m not impressed, I never get dispatch emails from them or order confirmations. I know they have my email address as they spam me constantly

BeaLola · 06/12/2025 10:31

I'm behind on reading threads -can someone recall what the paper "flier bouquets" on Amazon are called ?

Also - have sons girlfriend 17 to buy for - would Sol De Janeiri be the thought of thing she would love ? Or another brand ? If so what is the "wow" product that they love . I'd like to get her something lovely as she's very nice and doesn't have much

BananaWoman999 · 06/12/2025 10:42

I ordered my Fahlo bracelets on the 27th. I've received my parcel this morning with two cards which from their wrapping appear to be right, but they are for brothers, so hopefully they can swap over if not.

My disappointment is the colour of the stones. I chose two vibrant colours (online) and what I have received are two very dull looking bracelets. They're also massive. Fit my wrist, as a grown adult with not very slim wrists.

SomethingOfTheNight · 06/12/2025 10:54

Ahh thank you @OKScarpetta that's so kind of you. My DD would be thrilled 🙂

Nearlyadoctor · 06/12/2025 10:55

@BeaLola - my Dd is 18 and thinks of Sol de Janeiro for younger teens ( although I like it) If she’s had a lot though she may be very appreciative of it . The gift sets look lovely. Benefit gift sets are also very popular depending on whether she wears make up.
Otherwise a Dior lipgloss , or lip oil. Comes beautifully packaged and are much sought after by Dd and her uni counterparts.

@Mrssalvatore123
Aldi do really nice florentines in their extra special range. Usually just found in their general xmas goodies section.

I have gifted them before.

Karistyleaftea · 06/12/2025 11:19

@Mrssalvatore123 I'm sure there is a thread somewhere on MN about Florentines.
Fortnum and Mason salted caramel milk chocolate Florentines, around £11.95 are my absolute faves although I know not everyone likes salted caramel.
They also do white chocolate and dark chocolate ones.

Magik01 · 06/12/2025 11:23

Simple Guide to Fishing - this isn’t a “bargain” in the theme of the thread but it is a fantastic book for a young fisherman/woman. It’s written by a fishing YouTuber (excellent and non sweary!) called Carl and it’s one of the very few books both my teenagers have read and re read.

no discounts and you’ll have to pay P&P but it’s something I would wholeheartedly recommend for anyone who is starting to get into any kind of fishing

The Simple Fishing Guidebook

A 100 page guidebook, full of colour illustrations and helpful fishing information. Identify 25 popular fish species, where they live and where to catch them. Learn fishing knots, rigs, baits, lures, tactics and so much more!

Hi - recommendations for really nice dark hot chocolate. Am looking for something for my sister in law - am currently tempted by Knoops or Guppy’s but was also thinking perhaps Betty’s or Chococo but I’ve only ever had the Knoops personally.
