@fishfingersandchipsagain I chased them on Friday as I’d asked for my delivery last Wednesday.
They quoted their T&cs and said they had up to 7 days to post but that it was being picked that day.
I had the message to say it was picked and with DPD on Friday.
Well I’ve checked today and DPD have said they haven’t received my order yet. I checked at 5.30pm today so they have had a whole extra day, so I have emailed them again and asked what exactly is going on!
I’ve used them before for a gift for somebody who had had an operation and they were amazing. But this time they are shockingly bad!
I know I like their cheese but this will be the last time I use them because it is awful. Why put on a deal like that if they haven’t got enough staff to pick and post!
thankfully mine isn’t a gift (well it depends on how you look at it because it was a gift to myself) but I feel sorry for people who need them for presents. The service is as shocking (as was the passive aggressive first email I got).
However I am a HR Manager who deals with annoyed people all the time so if they think I’m going to disappear, they will be mistaken!

@Puffalicious @Mandarina33 The works has some wrapping paper bags for £2. Also seen them in Home bargains but can't remember how much. Can't vouch for the quality of either as I got a different kind online

Thank you so much to a PP for the Island Records merch tip off! DD saw both Hoosier and Catfish and the Bottlemen in the last year. She couldn't afford tour T shirts and will be over the moon to get them.

That’s disappointing @fishfingersandchipsagain - could you ask for a refund, or ask for the parcel to be delivered to your address instead so you could at least enjoy it yourself rather than it going to waste?

Is it too late to send a different birthday gift?

Edited to say the Twining 24 calendar is now sold out on Amazon, but the 48 day is available, (albeit expensive). I know Amazon isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but they do some nice gifts with some being available for next day delivery.

The Twining 24 calendar is available direct from Twining but next day delivery is a very steep £6.95.

@jocktamsonsbairn - did yours ever arrive? I can’t remember what happened after it got stuck in Glasgow.

My Cyber Monday bundle turned up today and I am very impressed, good range of flavours including Espresso Martini, White Chocolate Raspberry Popcorn Slab, Birthday Cake, Speculoos, Caramel Macchiato & Whiskey, Bailey's, Gingerbread, Caramel & Almond and couple of others

No surprise really, mine came through this morning too, I wasn’t holding out any hope after the last palaver.

Am I right in thinking there was a message on the Hotel Chocolat website (or somewhere), saying that delivery will be approx a week?

I was just wondering when to roughly expect the advent calendar I ordered on Thursday.

I ordered mine on Thursday afternoon and received it today. It was due tomorrow (48 hr postage) but I coincidently had another package at the same sorting hub that was due today so I think it hitched a ride with that and came early.

That worked out well 😊.

That’s interesting that it arrived today. I haven’t had a despatched email, so I’m not yet sure when I’ll see it.

@HeartandSeoul i ordered mine on I think Thursday last week- whenever the codes were posted- and it had said delivery would be on Thursday but it ended up arriving way earlier than expected, on the Saturday. I got lots of emails along the way with dispatch/due to arrive/arrived etc. it was sent via Royal Mail. Am so chuffed with it- loads in there and a real bargain!

@HeartandSeoul I ordered from HC on the 4th December and it came today with the Amazon man! I'd have thought it would have been delivered by Royal Mail so was a little surprised when it came with some other Amazon packages.

Argh, I was supposed to get my popcorn today at last but Royal Mail are lying and saying they tried to deliver it and will try again tomorrow. My ring doorbell begs to differ! (And I was at home and took a different Royal Mail delivery and hour before the allegedly missed one.) They'd better not return it to Joe & Seph's... 🤬

HC advent ordered Thursday and arrived in store Saturday, picked up today. Chuffed to bits, would never have bought it otherwise. Its upstairs in tbe box due to be savaged and split when then kids go to school tomorrow

Has anyone received any Deans shortbread recently ? I ordered on 21 November and as it was a Christmas hamper, they said they would dispatch after 1 December, so just wondering where I am in the queue…..
