Welcome to Christmas 2025!

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread here and share around the joy/referral perks.

I’ve been tasked via my daughter to buy an 11 year old girl some facemasks with a budget of £10 - any ideas, especially omitting postage! TIA

Try the £10 boots offers on Tuesdays - last week or week before they had a great face mask sets

dcadmamagain · 08/12/2025 21:45

Omg just seen previous post - great minds think alike

Thatsanotherfinemess1 · 08/12/2025 21:47

My HC calendar arrived today but was delivered to the wrong house. A very apologetic dad turned up with it and explained that he'd had to take it off his daughters as they had decided to keep it as it looked so nice...

Hereslookinatyoukid · 08/12/2025 21:53

Well, I would just like to say a huge thank you to @CalliopePlantainwho gave me an Argos code, and @WimbyAceand @Moltenpinkwho encouraged me to sign up for Blue Light Card. I’ve just saved about £40 total which has massively helped with a very expensive purchase (new phone needed / combined Xmas present).

Very much worth it.

I purchased this and split for presents for teens in my family - https://bubbletcosmetics.com/products/12-days-of-masking-advent-calendar?_pos=4&_sid=a69c84a8d&_ss=r. You can get £10 off using a referral code when spending £10.01 if you haven’t signed up before, my code and others are on the referral thread! Still a bargain either way!

I’m afraid not, it’s the full sized one he wants 🙈

I would definitely go secondhand for this. I’ve just picked some paw patrol stuff for less than half price.

Argh, I was supposed to get my popcorn today at last but Royal Mail are lying and saying they tried to deliver it and will try again tomorrow. My ring doorbell begs to differ! (And I was at home and took a different Royal Mail delivery and hour before the allegedly missed one.) They'd better not return it to Joe & Seph's... 🤬

I got a message the same as that for a parcel I was waiting for. It came the next day and Postie said he’d been on a day off the day before and no one did his round!

Ah love this 🤗 Glad you have made savings! BLC is great, just have to remember to check it before buying anything as they do have some good offers. They also often stack eg with TU sale can also use BLC.

20% off micro scooters ends at midnight.

InbetweenDreams · 08/12/2025 22:27

@deeplybaffled I ordered a dean’s Christmas hamper on the 21st. It arrived today having had no dispatch notification or anything, so I was still wondering when it was going to be sent out and it just turned up.

NoWordForFluffy · 08/12/2025 22:30

Nobody for my £7 off £75 @ Argos?!

I got a message like this today too from Royal Mail about my HC calendar. According to DD there was no attempt to deliver it.

Loulouli · 08/12/2025 23:15

@NoWordForFluffy I would love the voucher if still available? Have a speedy Lego purchase for ds to make...

The most expensive other seller on Amazon is delivery 22-24 Dec.

🫢 I’m glad to hear he was able to get it back to you. I expect it felt like all their Christmases came at once when they saw it 😁.

Whattodo541289 · 09/12/2025 00:06

What time does £10 tues start?

HeartandSeoul · 09/12/2025 00:24

Sorry, I forgot to quote the previous poster

I had a look online, as I was intrigued by the answer. It’s between 12am-2am! I would have guessed around 7am 🫢.

fishfingersandchipsagain · 08/12/2025 19:23

I really, really should have known better than to order from Chuckling Cheese, given how many years I have seen the chat about how bad their delivery schedule is.

Order was supposed to be delivered today for a birthday (ordered well over a week ago with the option to pick the delivery day). I just got an email to say it is “being picked” and will “be with the courier within 24 hours”.

So … it’s going to look like I forgot their birthday. And will be delivered after they have gone on holiday.

I randomly got my advent calendar far today after it was showing as being stuck at Glasgow RM sorting office for a week. They never delivered my brothers Christmas present last year so that’s me done with them now. Customer service on both occasions was shocking.

jocktamsonsbairn · 09/12/2025 00:32

IlovePond · 08/12/2025 20:05

That’s disappointing @fishfingersandchipsagain - could you ask for a refund, or ask for the parcel to be delivered to your address instead so you could at least enjoy it yourself rather than it going to waste?

Is it too late to send a different birthday gift?

Edited to say the Twining 24 calendar is now sold out on Amazon, but the 48 day is available, (albeit expensive). I know Amazon isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but they do some nice gifts with some being available for next day delivery.

The Twining 24 calendar is available direct from Twining but next day delivery is a very steep £6.95.

@jocktamsonsbairn - did yours ever arrive? I can’t remember what happened after it got stuck in Glasgow.

Edited

It randomly arrived today thank you for ansking! although the tracking is still showing that it’s still in the Glasgow RM sorting centre! FS raided it but wasn’t impressed as the crackers were too small and there were some ‘weird’ cheeses 😂 more for me!! The wee truckles don’t have a label on them though if you were wanting to gift them.

Vetoncall · 09/12/2025 00:36

Hot Diamonds have an extra 50% off their outlet jewellery with the code EXTRA50. It stacks with the JEWELS code for free delivery too. I got a necklace as an extra gift for my Mum, originally £95, for £23.75 delivered.

jocktamsonsbairn · 09/12/2025 00:37

Oh man just realised all the tired typos in my response! Sorry! Must be the excitement over the cheese delivery! 😂

Thelifeofawife · 09/12/2025 00:38

Help me, please! I’ve been so organised the past few years thanks to you guys but this year I’ve started looking at the threads late and am so far behind 🙈
I need ideas for my brothers and my late teen/adult nephews (£20-30), and gifts for female work colleagues (£10-15) - is there anything exciting on offer?
They all have varying tastes (though all the male relatives are into cars), so any suggestions welcome 🙏
