This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Hope you're all well. I've just put in a big Temu order for stocking bits and bits for work. They gave me £8 off my next order yesterday as two orders I had are arriving late and, when I contacted customer services about something, they also gave me a 20% off voucher, so I saved £20 on my order!

Those that ordered the cheap ladies jumpers from Amazon - did anyone receive them?
My delivery date has been put back twice and it's now saying my parcel may be lost!
The men's orders were cancelled. now the ladies not arriving.
I'm surprised Amazon allow this to happen.
Has anyone complained?

I’ve just checked mine that was due yesterday and it is saying the package has been lost, very dodgy.

DH is a Coventry fan and I was pleasantly surprised to find 76 Coventry related things.
I have suggested a golf towel, as they are currently buy one get one free. So might be perfect if you have different supporters to buy for. Xx

Thank you to @avie29 and @CatRash for the Temu tips on the last thread.

I know some people don’t like it, but I bought things I would have bought on Amazon anyway using the “claim credit” promotion. I was very, very careful to stick exactly to the rules of the promotion and so far it’s saved me a fortune (I spent about £25 in real money on about £160 of items, which were already about 30-50% cheaper than the same thing on Amazon).

However I can see how it would be easy to either not get the cash back by not understanding the rules, or to get sucked in and spend a fortune.

fishfingersandchipsagain · 18/10/2025 16:48

Does anyone remember a sweet hamper from last year? Amongst other things it contained hot chocolate fudge.

Apparently the fudge is the best thing ever (according to DS) and he is really looking forward to it in this years stocking … but I can’t remember where I got it. It was definitely from on here though.

I have a 15 year old autistic daughter who never ever writes a Christmas list. She’s tomboy-ish, obsessed with gaming on her tablet, listens to heavy metal, and likes animals. Reads books.

HELP! I need gift ideas. It’s a struggle every year.

PurpleSock · 18/10/2025 17:04

Can anyone recommend a set of stepping stones for a toddler please?
There seems to be a lot around and not sure which set to go for
He's 18 months old and pretty small but a confident walker/climber, ideally a set that will last a while and that stacks away nicely 🤞🏼

How do you get £10 off make up and the points?

Spend £60 to get the bonus £10 points. The £10 off is off makeup from certain brands, Lancôme being one of them. That’s automatic.

I never received my refund. I had to report it to my bank, and my bank has refunded.
It's very unprofessional, they are obviously a scam company.

I’ve bought from them a few times before and never had a problem, so I wouldn’t describe them as a scam company. Sorry you’re having problems though.

GiddyDog · 18/10/2025 17:30

@PuppyKeep record player and vinyl of her favourite bands?

Can anyone help with a VR headset? Request from DS, doesn’t normally ask for much. Have seen they are quite ££ I’m thinking a Meta one, as we don’t have a gaming console or PC - any advice? Are they likely to drop in price over Black Friday or not normally discounted? I think it would be the 3s entry level one, as I’m not really convinced he’ll use it! thanks

I might be way off the mark because I know sometimes there are issues with textures - but would she like one of those cuddle type cushions that sort of have arms for her bed when reading of listening g to music - my daughter loves hers.
again depends on the individual but people have suggested things like the hot milk / hot choc frothed type thing that are around £20.
Would she use one of the candle lamps that the bulb heats the candle so no flame on Amazon that keep going down to under £10 with a candle ?

Nice bookmark ?

Would she use a kindle ?

Again I haven’t got a link but someone posted about weighted teddies that regularly drop in price on Amazon - would she like one of those for her bed ?

I got DH one that links to your phone a couple of years ago. It was in TKMaxx and about £20 I think.

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 18/10/2025 18:08

Might be store specific but if your local Morrisons has the WIGIG (when It's Gone It's Gone) area they had a hot chocolate maker (that also had the cold setting some people have asked about) reduced to £12 from £20

Sorry to derail the thread but anyone who has the hot chocolate makers with the cold setting I'm guessing hot chocolate powders won't mix on cold so I'd have to use a milkshake one?

ChristmasMad1 · 18/10/2025 18:12

Does anyone know where I can get a 21st century liability YUNGBLUD vinyl?

Knackerelli · 18/10/2025 18:17

Morrisons currently have 1l Baileys for £14 when I went in earlier. You don’t need a More card either.

Rose785 · 18/10/2025 18:25

No mine mixes fine on a cold setting too

Did anyone get the moonpig code to work?

Their codes hardly ever work. Its a bit annoying! I always say I'll complain but never do lol

Goingincirclesstill · 18/10/2025 18:40

@fishfingersandchipsagain Sorry to be a pain about the temu credit thing.....probably me but I can't tell if I need to order a certain amount (above the minimum order) and if so how much, on the first order, or how many separate orders totalling to what what amount overall....does that make sense!? :) Thanks

lostmywayrightnow · 18/10/2025 18:43

Any other Wicked fans, there is a £5 (rather than £10) Elphaba keyring (same for Glinda I think. it's Amazon, I cannot seem to add the link (well I can but it does not show when posted).
