This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Hope you're all well. I've just put in a big Temu order for stocking bits and bits for work. They gave me £8 off my next order yesterday as two orders I had are arriving late and, when I contacted customer services about something, they also gave me a 20% off voucher, so I saved £20 on my order!

I have a small contribution - unfortunately no discount codes (on sale items) and I missed the Christmas PJs they had, but they have a good sale:

https://www.peteralexander.co.uk/shop/en/peteralexanderuk

They are beautiful PJs, although far to expensive for me at full price - but I was still tempted.
The grumpy bunny ones in particular feel lovely.

If anybody has a Costco membership and a similarly Barbie obsessed child, they are doing this RC Hot Wheels car with 2 dolls for £29.98. Amazon are selling the same one for £45.99. DD7 will be delighted that her Barbies finally have a car that they can do trips in 😂

Thanks @Reastie
posted this at the end of the last one. Just incase it gets missed by someone it might help.

Holland and barrett have got some good Christmas deals, 25% off gift sets
10% off neom stuff
and an extra 15% off a £20 spend with the code save. There’s also another 20% if you download the app (didn’t see until I’d checked out, so I don’t know if they stack). If you were buying the neom stuff that could be a big saving.

I got these lip balms for stocking fillers https://www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/carmex-lip-balm-4-pack-winter-edition-6100010140

John Lewis have 25% off Sol de Janiero. I'm fortunate to also have staff discount so will buy a present for DS's 18yo gf. Any recommendations? I feel like the yellow gift set is a safe bet but is it unoriginal?

Oneborneverydecade · 10/10/2025 11:02

We've had so many deliveries in the past few days it's a bit ridiculous 😄
I ignored the Whistlefish love for a while then caved, and I'm glad I did. Great quality for the price.
I've also caved and ordered 4 glasses wipes including a slightly risque photo of me for DH. It'll give the owner a 😳 anyway

GiddyDog · 10/10/2025 11:06

Looking for recommendations for a 15 year old boy please! Nephew is very hard to buy for as he's pretty fussy about what brands he wears but is also not at all demanding and won't come out and ask for anything 🤦🏻‍♀️he'd never be ungrateful he'd just thank me then never use it and I want to get something he actually likes.
Got him a montirex t shirt and chocolate for his bday a few weeks back. He wears small men's.
No skincare as he's on medicated stuff for acne but aftershave is fine, he's into muy tai and football, also likes silver jewellery.
Help me! Budget £30ish ideally.

GiddyDog · 10/10/2025 11:07

@Oneborneverydecade I'd play it safe, the original is the nicest scent in my opinion and the most popular with my daughter and nieces. You could also go for one of the discovery boxes with the small bottles of different scent rather than the cream.

hayal · 10/10/2025 11:18

@giddydog
Calvin Klein boxers, amazon have a three pack for £27.
Hair products, my 15 year old DS uses the brand Urban Fudge.
Hollister T Shirts are 3 for £30 if you sign up you get £10 off your first order.
A goody bag with sweet, crisps and popcorn with a cinema voucher.
Personalised nutella jar label from Etsy and a giant tub of nutella with a gaming voucher.
Hugo Boss body spray and Deodorant, Just My Look is the cheapest I've found.

Any recommendations for Christmas wrapping paper? Good value that thick and won’t rip! I normally love M&S paper but if anyone has cheaper alternatives. I know it’s still a bit early to be thinking about but I have family overseas I’m visiting soon and will need to bring gifts with me.

The Echo Pop is on sale for half price, plus you can add an Alexa-controlled plug (great for Xmas tree lights) for an extra fiver.

@FallingIntoAutumn good spot on H&B. I got some of the Tisserand sprays. Code SAVE22 takes 22% off. The codes don’t stack unfortunately although there is up to 8% on TCB

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 10/10/2025 12:32

Thank you to the PP who signposted the Pintail Candle offer on the last thread. Had my order delivered this morning and pleasantly surprised. With the discount it worked out at less than £5 a candle and should cross off a few ‘bitty’ bits to bulk out awkward to buy for relatives (aka my sisters)

Sostrene Grene !! Feels like it should be five times the price and they have love ribbons etc and decorations. Candles are no good though so don’t be fooled by them.

Sainsburys had some thick like parcel type paper but with Christmas prints on in store. Good price.

I've bought double sided kraft paper from amazon this year...10m length
I need two different patterns so it's worked well and I only need 1 roll

I've picked up some of the velvet gift bags from SG - they are great value at £1.76 each. I'll be wrapping up a few small beauty products in tissue and putting a selection in the bags as gifts.

Edited to add link to bags.

I’m not sure if it was on these threads but I read that someone is doing a stranger things hamper. I’ve just been in B&M and they have lots of stranger things items. Really sorry I cant get the image to load because it says it’s too big 🤷🏼‍♀️

jocktamsonsbairn · 10/10/2025 13:14

Has anyone got an HMV unidays code they wouldn’t mind sending me please? Can reciprocate with BLC! Thanks

GiddyDog · 10/10/2025 13:17

@hayal thanks so much! Some awesome suggestions 😁

I’ve used this the last few years - lovely and thick, and not as wide as normal wrapping paper so there’s less wastage.

I was in there yesterday. They were putting it out and it’s lovely.

FurForksSake · 10/10/2025 13:54

Any recommendations for books for 12 year old boy that is really getting into cooking?

The whistlefish cards are such good quality, that wrapping paper looks lovely. I always used to buy tonnes in the paper chase sale, but that will be no more.
