RainbowZebraWarrior · 05/09/2025 18:32

Posting on behalf of @Reastie as I'm guessing she's busy and the last thread was almost full.

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread <a class="break-all" href="https://_[[//https//www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Is it the christmas beauty advent calendar that posters are applying the 20% to. I can only see it arrives on 9th October?

No, it's the icons beauty box

naiveandrestles · 14/09/2025 15:37

^ 2024 edition but unopened cosmetics have a long date.

IlovePond · 14/09/2025 15:42

Hi, I went to Boots today and they refunded the opened item from my parcel without argument. Great service from the young guy who served me!

I then went to TKMAXX. They had lots of:

Eve Lom gifts
Korres gift boxes
Liz Earle gift boxes
Korean skincare, including Centrella and masks

Thank you for mentioning all the free CLARINS samples.

How did you get postage for £1:85? It’s coming up at £3:95 for me.

Also just got this one just to mention BLC also works on it

User202242 · 14/09/2025 16:26

Not overly Christmas-y but Lindex have 25% off for members today when ordering 2 or more items. Membership doesn't cost. I love this place for joggers for my children that are good quality and have hidden adjustable waistbands.

Have also had jeans for myself and they were great too (bought in the sale). Free delivery when you spend £25.

Hi, has anyone had anything like the boot buddy / boot dryer that you would recommend? Need to get a present for a young footballer who plays muddy football multiple times a week! Thanks

I suggested this to another poster yesterday - I bought a couple of years ago on a Mumsnet recommendation. I think there is currently a discount voucher on it.

Snowpea Electric Shoe Dryer, Ski Boots Dryer, Shoe & Boot Warmer to Dry Sweaty Shoes & Eliminate Bad Odor, 3/6/9 Hours Timed Auto Self Off (Standard UK Plug) https://amzn.eu/d/2Xci4Hb

If you choose Yodel delivery it’s £2.85 (making total £13.85 not £12.85 as I previously said, there was a hand cream for £10 but it sold out) and WELCOME15 also gets you 15% off

NoWordForFluffy · 14/09/2025 17:33

@Reastie, just a heads up that we will likely need a new thread at some point tomorrow!

mamabluestar · 14/09/2025 17:36

Thank you @OneJollyBlueViper I’ve just bought one for my great niece. It looks a good gift for the money.

Dippythedino · 14/09/2025 18:01

My local Sainsbury's had lots of homeware on sale such as thermos flasks, crockery, cutlery & bedding.

I bought a Habitat cast iron casserole dish similar to a Le Creuset one for £23 reduced from £35.
https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/habitat-33-litre-cast-iron-casserole-dish-orange

There's lots of good offers particularly for those buying for first time university students.

BringMeTheBadgers · 14/09/2025 18:44

I've purposely waited to join these threads to stop myself buying unnecessarily and impulsively.
But I have finally started my shopping! So thanks for the bargains so far.
I got lots of makeup goodies for dd2 (13) from homebargains to make an advent calendar and stocking fillers. Also bought each dd a gel nail lamp for £2.99, some body mists, set of mens lynx for £7.99, and crystal bracelets for 99p. A light up LED mirror for dd2 for £7.99 and a wavey hair styler for £2.99.
Then a hug a lumps each as both love a cuddly or weighted blanket for pmt pains, so these will be perfect.
And I did an amazon haul at 60% off for some thermal tops for me, a few stocking fillers and random bits for our bad santa game with family. Spent £48

Can anyone recommend any nice hot chocolate? I used to get hotel Chocolat in the past but not been that impressed wit them lately...

I love the hot chocolate shaker which was recommended on here a few years ago. They sometimes do deals for the shaker + some chocolate drops. I think their milk chocolate drops are the best (and I like very chocolatey chocolate!)

https://www.chocolate.co.uk/products/hot-chocolate-shaker-new

I've tried Knoops - both in their shop at home using their chocolate flakes. I love their iced chocolate, but not convinced about the hot chocolate.

This was one of my best buys a couple of years ago for my hot chocolate obsessed son. He still uses it occasionally now and the chocolate was lovely too.
